1 Matthew 12 THE DISCIPLES PICK WHEAT ON THE SABBATH DAY 1 At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn (Wheat); and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn (Wheat) and to eat. (God is merciful and said take what you want to eat but don t load your cart; in the Law of God He owns all and the birds eat and we are worth more than the birds.) 2 But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him (Who told them that? They invented their own law.), Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day. 3 But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him (The Bible tells us 6 So the priest gave him hallowed bread: for there was no bread there but the shewbread, that was taken from before the LORD, to put hot bread in the day when it was taken away. I Samuel 21:6) 4 How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the showbread (Hallowed bread), which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests (Was not there to disobey the Law of God; but God is merciful-an exception for David-not an everyday practice.)? 5 Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless (Thou shall not work but the priests can. The Bible tells us 9 And on the sabbath day two lambs of the first year without spot, and two tenth deals of flour for a meat offering, mingled with oil, and the drink offering thereof: 10 This is the burnt offering of every sabbath, beside the continual burnt offering, and his drink offering. Numbers 28:9-10) 6 But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple (The Bible tells us 1 Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the LORD, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts. Malachi 3:1). 7 But if ye had known what this meaneth (They didn t know and were strict and discipline; no mercy.), I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless (The Bible tells us 6 For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings. Hosea 6:6). 8 For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day (Not Sunday.).

2 9 And when he was departed thence, he went into their synagogue (Only open on the Sabbath Day.) (The Bible tells us 1 And he entered again into the synagogue; and there was a man there which had a withered hand. 2 And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath day; that they might accuse him. 3 And he saith unto the man which had the withered hand, Stand forth. 4 And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace. 5 And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other. 6 And the Pharisees went forth, and straightway took counsel with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him. Mark 3:1-6): (The Bible tells us 6 And it came to pass also on another sabbath, that he entered into the synagogue and taught: and there was a man whose right hand was withered. 7 And the scribes and Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal on the sabbath day; that they might find an accusation against him. 8 But he knew their thoughts, and said to the man which had the withered hand, Rise up, and stand forth in the midst. And he arose and stood forth. 9 Then said Jesus unto them, I will ask you one thing; Is it lawful on the sabbath days to do good, or to do evil? to save life, or to destroy it? 10 And looking round about upon them all, he said unto the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he did so: and his hand was restored whole as the other. 11 And they were filled with madness; and communed one with another what they might do to Jesus. Luke 6:6-11) 10 And, behold, there was a man which had his hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they might accuse him (The reason for the question.) (The Bible tells us 14 And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day. Luke 13:14). 11 And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out? 12 How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days (The Bible tells us 4 Thou shalt not see thy brother's ass or his ox fall down by the way, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt surely help him to lift them up again. Deuteronomy 22:4). (If someone s house is on fire; you help your neighbor; healing is good; helping is good.) (The Bible tells us 31 Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows. Matthew 10:31)

3 13 Then saith he to the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole, like as the other. 14 Then the Pharisees went out, and held a council against him, how they might destroy him (The Pharisees discredit Jesus and put Him down-were exposed for what they were.). HUGE CROWDS FOLLOW JESUS 15 But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all (The Bible tells us 7 But Jesus withdrew himself with his disciples to the sea: and a great multitude from Galilee followed him, and from Judaea, Mark 3:7); 16 And charged them that they should not make him known: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, 18 Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him (Power of the Father; wisdom.), and he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles (God speaking about Jesus.). 19 He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets. 20 A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory (Jesus did not intrude in things not involved in His ministry; not a violent type of person; not following anyone and not arrogant.). 21 And in his name shall the Gentiles trust (The Bible tells us 1 Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles. 2 He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street. 3 A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth. 4 He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law. 5 Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein: 6 I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; Isaiah 42:1-6).

4 RELIGIOUS LEADERS ACCUSE JESUS OF BEING SATAN 22 Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb (mute): and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw (The Bible tells us 14 And he was casting out a devil, and it was dumb (Mute). And it came to pass, when the devil was gone out, the dumb spake; and the people wondered. 15 But some of them said, He casteth out devils through Beelzebub (Another name for the Devil.) the chief of the devils. 16And others, tempting (Testing) him, sought of him a sign from heaven. 17 But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth (Satan has a kingdom on this earth; God has not taken him off it yet; not until his coming.). 18 If Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? because ye say that I cast out devils through Beelzebub. 19 And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your sons cast them out? therefore shall they be your judges. 20 But if I with the finger of God cast out devils (demons), no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you. 21 When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace (The Bible tells us 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: I Peter 5:8): 22 But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils. 23 He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth. Luke 14:14-23). 23 And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David? 24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils. 25 And Jesus knew their thoughts (The Bible tells us 4 And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts? Matthew 9:4), and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand: (The Bible tells us 1 O lord, thou hast searched me, and known me. 2 Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. 3 Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. 4 For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether. 5 Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me. 6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it. 7 Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? 8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. 9 If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; 10 Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me. 11 If I say, Surely the

5 darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me. 12 Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee. Psalm 139:1-12) 26 And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand? 27 And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils (demons), by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges (The Bible tells us 34 But the Pharisees said, He casteth out devils (demons) through the prince of the devils (demons) Matthew 9:34). 28 But if I cast out devils (demons) by the Spirit of God, then the (the power of the) kingdom of God is come unto you (The Bible tells us 33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. Luke 1:33). 29 Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house (God is stronger than Satan.). 30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad (The Bible tells us 50 And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us. Luke 9:50). 31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. (The Bible tells us 10 And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven. Luke 12:10) 32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come (The Bible tells us 16 If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it. 17 All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death. 18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not. I John 5:16-18). Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth

6 forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Matthew 7:15-20). By our conduct we know who controls us. (Speaking to His wife; they killed James, Stephen and Paul.) 34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh (The Bible tells us 33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell? Matthew 23:33). 35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things (The Bible tells us 23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived. 24 And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth (Everybody fell for it and will pay the penalty.) Revelation 18:23-24). 36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. JESUS GREIVES OVER JERUSELEM 37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned (Jesus loved them and never gave up on His people.) (The Bible tells us 10 He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye. 11 As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings: 12 So the LORD alone did lead him, and there was no strange god with him. 13 He made him ride on the high places of the earth, that he might eat the increase of the fields; and he made him to suck honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty rock; (He constantly fed them.) Deuteronomy 32:10-13). 38 Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee (No matter what Jesus tells them they won t believe Him. The Bible tells us 1 The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and tempting desired him that he would shew them a sign from heaven. 2He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red. 3 And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowering. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?

7 4 A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed. (The Bible tells us 17 Now the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights. Jonah 1:17) 41 The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here (The Bible tells us 4 Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption (Sonship of God.), and the glory, and the covenants (The old and the new; it is still theirs; it was never taken away.), and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises; 5 Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen. 6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: 7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. 8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed. Romans 9:4-8). 42 The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here (The Bible tells us 1 And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the LORD, she came to prove him with hard questions. 2 And she came to Jerusalem with a very great train, with camels that bare spices, and very much gold, and precious stones: and when she was come to Solomon, she communed with him of all that was in her heart. 3 And Solomon told her all her questions: there was not any thing hid from the king, which he told her not. 4 And when the queen of Sheba had seen all Solomon's wisdom, and the house that he had built, 5 And the meat of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their apparel, and his cupbearers, and his ascent by which he went up unto the house of the LORD; there was no more spirit in her. 6 And she said to the king, It was a true report that I heard in mine own land of thy acts and of thy wisdom. 7 Howbeit I believed not the words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it: and, behold, the half was

8 not told me: thy wisdom and prosperity exceedeth the fame which I heard. I Kings 10:1-7). 43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. (When one hears the truth of God and rejects it, one will be worse than before; he opens a door for Satan.) Luke 11:24-26). 44 Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. 45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation. JESUS DESCRIBES HIS TRUE FAMILY 46 While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak to him. 47 Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee. 48 But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? (Jesus was trying to make a point here.) 49 And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! 50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.
