1 INSTRUCTIONS FOR STUDY (Please read carefully) 1. Please begin each session with prayer and remain in an attitude of prayer at all times while in study. Psalm 119: Find a quite place for your study where there will be no interruptions. 3. It is highly recommended that you use any type of cross-reference Bible and make extensive search for all detail concerning each question and subject. 4. When beginning any lesson first read the entire scripture that is shown. Keep your Bible by your side and use it to re-read each verse mentioned. 5. When you wish to give scripture to back up your answer, quote the scripture (do not give just the book, chapter, and verse). Be sure you have a good dictionary by your side for your use, when you come upon a word where the meaning is not clear. 6. All questions are to be answered. Some questions however are thoughtquestions and we hope no answer will be given reflecting any doctrine or theology previously formed, and you certainly will not be graded with any pre-conceived ideas of our faculty. Your study is for the Bible to speak to you. Never answer yes or no without also giving reasons why yes or no is your answer. 7. Use paper that is 8 l/2 x 11. If only a typewriter is available, use it and double space. If answers are given in longhand, please write clearly and plainly, so it can be read easily. Write on one side of paper only. 8. Lessons may be mailed as often as you wish or send when 10 lessons are complete. Please do not wait until you finish all lessons before you send them in. Please, no more than 10 lessons at one time. 9. If you find any questions not clear, write Joseph Cooper Theological University and we will try to make that question clear to you. This also applies to these instructions. 10. There is no time limit for completing this study, however, we suggest that you spend some time each day on your studies. To skip a day or two is bad for

2 several reasons. Don t let yourself put off until tomorrow what should be done today. 11. Be sure to enter your name and address on each page of your lessons, or if a group of lessons are stapled together, on the first page. Do not send loose papers unless your name is plainly affixed on each page. 12. Please notify J.C.T.U. if you should move during the time you are studying with us. This keeps our records straight and eliminates the possibility of some of your material being lost in the mail. 13. J.C.T.U. will pay all postage on all mail sent to you. You are to pay postage on mail sent to J.C.T.U. Do not send your lessons any other way except FIRST CLASS MAIL. 14. Please notify J.C.T.U. at least 21 days prior to your completing your course of study and approximately when you think you will mail your last completed lesson so that we can order your diploma from our engraver, which may be awarded to you, without delay when your studies are completed. Be sure to give us your name as you wish it to appear on your diploma. 15. If you have selected to pay your tuition costs, by the installment plan, please make your payments each month, near as convenient to the day of enrollment of month, beginning with the next calendar month following your enrollment. 16. Even if you have indicated that you desire to pay by installment at the time of enrollment but wish to save the service charge ($10.00), you may pay the entire amount within 90 days and you will not be charged the service charge. This saves us some bookkeeping and postage. 17. If you wish a copy of your work, make a copy of each lesson and mail the original to us. We need to keep all of your work in our files.
