1 EXTRAVAGANT LOVE ~ ENCOUNTERS WITH JESUS ~ JESUS FEEDS THE 5,000 JOHN 6:1-35
2 After this Jesus went away to the other side of the Sea of Galilee, which is the Sea of Tiberias. 2 And a large crowd was following him, because they saw the signs that he was doing on the sick. 3 Jesus went up on the mountain, and there he sat down with his disciples. 4 Now the Passover, the feast of the Jews, was at hand. John 6:1 4 (ESV)
3 Lifting up his eyes, then, and seeing that a large crowd was coming toward him, Jesus said to Philip, Where are we to buy bread, so that these people may eat? 6 He said this to test him, for he himself knew what he would do. John 6:5 6 (ESV)
4 Philip answered him, Two hundred denarii worth of bread would not be enough for each of them to get a little. 8 One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter s brother, said to him, 9 There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what are they for so many? John 6:7 9 (ESV)

7 John 6:10 13 (ESV) Jesus said, Have the people sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, about five thousand in number. 11 Jesus then took the loaves, and when he had given thanks, he distributed them to those who were seated. So also the fish, as much as they wanted. 12 And when they had eaten their fill, he told his disciples, Gather up the leftover fragments, that nothing may be lost. 13 So they gathered them up and filled twelve baskets with fragments from the five barley loaves left by those who had eaten.

12 PSALM You have searched me, Lord, Verses 1-6 Omniscient / All Knowing and you know me. 2 You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. 3 You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. 4 Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely. 5 You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me. 6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.
13 PSALM Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain. 7 Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can Verses 1-6 Verses 6-12 Omniscient / All Knowing Omnipresent / Ever Present I flee from your presence? 8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. 9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn if I settle on the far side of the sea, 10 even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. 11 If I say, Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me, 12 even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.
14 PSALM For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother s womb. 14 I praise you because I am fearfully and Verses 1-6 Verses 6-12 Verses Omniscient / All Knowing Omnipresent / Ever Present Omnipotent / All Powerful wonderfully made your works are wonderful, I know that full well. 15 My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. 16 Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. 17 How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! 18 Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand when I awake, I am still with you.
15 PSALM If only you, God, would slay the wicked! Verses 1-6 Verses 6-12 Verses Verses Omniscient / All Knowing Omnipresent / Ever Present Omnipotent / All Powerful Obeisance / All Respect / Worship Away from me, you who are bloodthirsty! 20 They speak of you with evil intent; your adversaries misuse your name. 21 Do I not hate those who hate you, Lord, and abhor those who are in rebellion against you? 22 I have nothing but hatred for them; I count them my enemies. 23 Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. 24 See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

For on him God the Father has set his seal. John 6:25 27 (ESV)
