2 Unit 7: I Can Obey Lesson 1: Gideon Obeys Experience Order Talk About It God wants us to obey even when we don t feel like it or it seems too hard. God will give us strength to obey Him. Trumpet pages Foam shapes Glue Activity Time Glue the foam shapes on the trumpet to create a collage. Remind the children that God s people blew their trumpets and the wall of Jericho came down!

Ask the children to help pack up Abraham s clothes so he can go to the land God promised him. Direct the children to pick up the paper shirts and pack them in the duffle bag. Remind the children that Abraham obeyed God and moved to a new land.

The teacher will pretend he or she is David. Give each child one slice of cheese and a small handful of crackers. Explain that David obeyed his dad and went to the battlefield to give his brothers bread and cheese.
