2 Unit 3: I Can Obey God Lesson 1: Noah the Boat Builder Experience Order Talk About It We can obey God by listening to Him. God will give us the directions we need if we will listen. 3 3-1 Coloring pages Washable crayons Creation Stations 1 2 Wood hammers Play dough Invite the children to color the picture in front of them. Interact with the children and describe to them the scene they are coloring. Have the children take turns hammering the playdough like Noah hammered the ark. Cast Member Guides Activity Time Lead the children in the following directions: Spin around! Jump up and down! Sit down! Stand up and run in place! After a few minutes of obeying directions, talk to the children about how they were obeying directions just like Noah. Noah obeyed God and built a big boat. God is happy when we obey.

4 Unit 3: I Can Obey God Lesson 2: Two by Two Experience Order Talk About It We can obey God by doing what He tells us to do. Just like Noah, we need to do things just the way God tells us to. Interact with the children and describe to them the scene they are coloring. Glue the animal foam shapes on the Two by Two page. Activity Time Animal masks Pass out the animal masks. Two teachers will place their hands together and form a doorway. Have each child put on their animal mask, and another teacher will lead them through the doorway, just like Noah led the animals into the ark. Collect all the animal masks after the activity is over.

Interact with the children and describe to them the scene they are coloring. Use the animal cookie cutters to create animals out of playdough. Activity Time Parachute Get the children to hold a side of the parachute (do this in groups if you have more kids than parachute handles). Show the children how to move the parachute up and down to make waves that tossed the ark up and down.

Interact with the children and describe to them the scene they are coloring. Have the children glue the tissue paper on the page to create a rainbow. Activity Time Labels Pipe cleaners Bowls Give each child four different colors of pipe cleaners and one bowl. Turn the bowl upside down and stick each end of each pipe cleaner on the bottom of the bowl to create an arch. Place the label on the outside of the bowl.
