1 Prayer Diary 27 th November 2017 to 28 th January 2018 November Monday 27 th - All spoke well of him and were amazed at the gracious words that came from his lips. Luke 4: v 22 Lord, may the words of my mouth be acceptable to you Tuesday 28 th When the devil had finished all his tempting, he left him until an opportune time. Luke 4: v13 Keep me mindful Lord that the devil never gives up Wednesday 29 th When Moses went and told the people all the Lord s words and laws, they responded with one voice, 'Everything the Lord has said we will do.' Exodus 24: v 3 Lord, your will is my command Thursday 30 th In spite of his wonders, they did not believe. Psalm 78: v 32 Pray for those who marvel at creation yet ignore the Creator December Friday 1 st May you be blessed by the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. Psalm 115: v 15 Pray for the Creator s blessing Saturday 2 nd He is like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When the flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. Luke 6: v 48 Pray for a life grounded in the Rock Sunday 3 rd The Lord is my light and my salvation whom shall I fear. 3 Thursday 14 th Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. Psalm 23: v 4 Pray for those in gloomy places Friday 15 th He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. John 10: v 3 Pray that we may not miss our name being called Saturday 16 th I am your servant; give me discernment that I may understand your statutes. Psalm 119: v 125 Lord, clear my mind of unhelpful thoughts and grant me a greater insight into your word Sunday 17 th May the God of hope fill me with all joy and peace as I trust in him, so that I may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15: v 13 AMEN Monday 18 th But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. Isaiah 53: v 5 What thou, my Lord, hast suffered, was all for sinners gain: Mine, mine was the transgression, but thine the deadly pain. Tuesday 19 th Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing your mind. Proverbs 3: v 17 Lord, guide me in wisdom and understanding Friday 22 nd I am laid low in the dust; preserve my life according to your word. Psalm 119: v 25 Lord, pick me up and dust me down Saturday 23 rd The king was shaken. He went up to the room over the gateway and wept. As he went he said: 'O my son Absalom. My son, my son Absalom. If only I had died instead of you O Absalom my son, my son.' 2 Samuel 18: v 33 Remember in prayer those who mourn the loss of loved ones Sunday 24 th People were also bringing babies to Jesus to have him touch them. Luke 18: v 15 Pray for babies Monday 25 th The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Psalm 19: v 1 Thank you Lord for the wonderful things you are doing Tuesday 26 th For the Son of man came to seek and to save what was lost. Luke 19: v 10 Thank you Lord for saving me Wednesday 27 th Give ear and come to me; hear me, that your soul may live. Isaiah 55: v 3 Pray for those who ignore the Lord s call Thursday 28 th And the peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 5 Friday 29 th Indignation grips me because of the wicked, who have forsaken your law. Psalm 119: v 53 Pray for those who make us angry Saturday 30 th Does not wisdom call out? Does not understanding raise her voice? On the heights along the way, where the paths meet, she takes her stand. Proverbs 8: v v 1-2 Crossroads can be confusing places. Pray for the wisdom to discern the way Sunday 31 st I called on your name, O Lord, from the depths of the pit. You came near when I called you, and you said, 'Do not fear.' Lamentations 3: v v 55 and 57 Pray for those in deep despair January Monday 1st The path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, shining ever brighter till the full light of day. Proverbs 4: v 18 Christ whose glory fills the skies, Christ, the true, the only light, Sun of Righteousness arise, Triumph o er the shades of night; Day spring from on high, be near; Day star, in my heart appear. Tuesday 2 nd Moses said to the people, 'Do not be afraid. God has come to test you, so that the fear of God will be with you to keep you from sinning.' Exodus 20: v 20 Pray that reverence for God will guide our actions Wednesday 3 rd Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus. Philippians 2: v 3 Pray for a Christ-like concern for others Thursday 4 th Now then, my children, listen to me; blessed are those who keep my ways. Proverbs 8: v 32 Lord, I am listening, help me to hear your voice Friday 5 th So God looked on the Israelites and was concerned about them. Exodus 2: v 25 Give thanks for God s love for all his people v

6 Saturday 6 th Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5: v 7 Lord, lift my burdens Sunday 7 th I press on towards the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenwards in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3: v 14 Lord, steady me when I waver Monday 8 th O Lord God Almighty, who is like you? You are mighty, O Lord, and your faithfulness surrounds you. Psalm 89: v 8 Sovereign Lord, there is no other Tuesday 9 th He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentence. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. 2 Peter 3: v v 9-10 Pray that we will not try the Lord s patience Wednesday 10 th If only you had paid attention to my comments, your peace would have been like a river, your righteousness like the waves of the sea. Isaiah 48: v 18 Pray that we may follow the course God has marked out for us and not become diverted into dead-end creeks Thursday 11 th You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. Hebrews 10: v 36 Lord, when my confidence is dented, keep me mindful that I am on the winning side Friday 12 th Shout for joy, O heavens; rejoice O earth; burst into song, O mountains. For the Lord comforts his people and will have compassion on his afflicted ones. Isaiah 49: v 13 Lord, fill me with your joy that I may sing of your love vi

7 Saturday 13 th And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Colossians 3: v 17 Lord, be in everything I do and say Sunday 14 th Then he said, 'Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.' Luke 23: v 42 AMEN Monday 15 th Oh, how I love your law. I meditate on it all day long. Psalm 119: v 97 Pray that we may not read God s word in a perfunctory way Tuesday 16 th He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. Psalm 91: v 4 Lord, enclose me with your love Wednesday 17 th So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be alert and self-controlled. 1 Thessalonians 5: v 6 Pray that we may be ready to respond to God s wake up call Thursday 18 th For you were once in darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth.) Ephesians 5: v v 8-9 Pray that we may walk in the light of the Lord illuminated by the glory he sheds on our way Friday 19 th My heart is set on keeping your decrees to the very end. Psalm 119: v v 112 Pray for stickability Saturday 20th - He who loves a pure heart and whose speech is gracious will have the king for his friend. 8 Sunday 21 st _ As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word. Isaiah 55: v v Give thanks for God s life-giving word Monday 22 nd When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought joy to my soul. Psalm 94: v 19 Lord, fill me with your peace when anxious thoughts threaten to overwhelm me Tuesday 23 rd So the Pharisees said to another, 'See, this is getting us nowhere. Look how the whole world has gone after him.' John 12: v 19 When the Lord s enemies are nonplussed, pray that they will turn to him Wednesday 24 th The quiet words of the wise are more to be heeded than the shouts of a ruler of fools. Ecclsiastes 9: v 17 Pray that wise words will prevail Thursday 25 th The images that are carried about are a burden for the weary. Psalm 68: v 19 Pray for those encumbered by lifeless idols Friday 26 th Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near. Isaiah 55: v 6 Pray for those who ignore the urgency of God s word Saturday 27 th By the word of the Lord were the heavens made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth. Psalm 33: v 6 Breathe on me breath of God; Fill me with life anew. Sunday 28 th Listen to me, you who pursue righteousness and who seek the Lord.
