Ephesians 1:-1 (ESV) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who has blessed us in Christ With every spiritual blessing in the Heavenly places, Even as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, That we should be holy and blameless before Him. In Him we have redemption through his blood, The forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace, Which He lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight Making known to us the mystery of His will, according to his purpose, Which He set forth in Christ As a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in Him, Things in Heaven and things on earth. In Him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined According to the purpose of Him Who works all things according to the counsel of His will, 1 So that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of His Glory. 1 In Him you also, when you heard the Word of Truth, The Gospel of your salvation, And believed in Him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, 1 Who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, To the praise of His Glory. And the four living creatures, each of them with six wings, Are full of eyes all around and within, and day and night They never cease to say, "Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, Who was and is and is to come!" He makes Lebanon to skip like a calf, and Sirion like a young wild ox. The voice of the Lord flashes forth flames of fire. The voice of the Lord shakes the wilderness; The Lord shakes the wilderness of Kadesh. The voice of the Lord makes the deer give birth and strips the forests bare, And in His temple all cry, "Glory!" Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, Who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from the pit, Who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, Who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's. The Lord works righteousness And justice for all who are oppressed. He made known his ways to Moses, his acts to the people of Israel. The Lord is merciful and gracious, Slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. He will not always chide (quarrel), Or will He keep his anger forever. He does not deal with us according to our sins, Or repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the Heavens are above the earth, So great is His steadfast love toward those who fear him; 1 As far as the east is from the west, So far does He remove our transgressions from us. 1 As a father shows compassion to his children, So the Lord shows compassion to those who fear him. 1 For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust. 1 As for man, his days are like grass; he flourishes like a flower of the field; 1 For the wind passes over it, and it is gone, And its place knows it no more. 1 But the steadfast love of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting On those who fear Him, and his righteousness to children's children, 1 To those who keep His covenant And remember to do His commandments. Psalm :1- (NLT) A psalm of David. Give honor to the Lord, you angels; Give honor to the Lord for his glory and strength. [] Give honor to the Lord for the glory of his name. 15 Page # o / What does God say; about Praising Him? Hebrews 1:-1 (NLT) Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. [] So do not be attracted by strange, new ideas. Your spiritual strength comes from God's special favor, Not from ceremonial rules about food, Which don't help those who follow them. [] We have an altar from which the priests In the Temple on earth have no right to eat. [] Under the system of Jewish laws, the high priest brought the blood of animals Into the Holy Place as a sacrifice for sin, But the bodies of the animals were burned outside the camp. [1] So also Jesus suffered and died outside the city gates In order to make His people holy By shedding His own blood. [1] So let us go out to Him outside the camp and bear the disgrace he bore. [1] For this world is not our home; We are looking forward to our city in Heaven, Which is yet to come. [1] With Jesus' help, let us continually offer our sacrifice of praise to God By proclaiming the glory of His Name. [1] Don't forget to do good and to share what you have with those in need, For such sacrifices are very pleasing to God. Psalms :1- (ESV) The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof, The world and those who dwell therein, For He has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers. Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord? And who shall stand in His Holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who does not lift up his soul to what is false And does not swear deceitfully. He will receive blessing from the Lord And righteousness from the God of his salvation. Such is the generation of those who seek Him, Who seek the face of the God of Jacob. Selah Lift up your heads, O gates! And be lifted up, O ancient doors, That the King of Glory may come in. Who is this King of Glory? The Lord, Strong and Mighty, The Lord, Mighty in battle! Lift up your heads, O gates! And lift them up, O ancient doors, That the King of Glory may come in. Who is this King of Glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of Glory! Selah Hebrews 1:1-1 (NLT) With Jesus' help, let us continually offer Our sacrifice of praise to God by proclaiming the Glory of his name. [1] Don't forget to do good and to share what you have with those in need, For such sacrifices are very pleasing to God. Hebrews 1:1-1 (KJV) By Him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise To God continually, that is, The fruit of our lips giving thanks to His Name. [1] But to do good and to communicate forget not: For with such sacrifices God is well pleased. Isaiah 1:1 (NLT) In that day you will sing:"praise the Lord! He was angry with me, but now he comforts me. Exodus :1-1 (KJV) But you shall destroy their altars, break their images, And cut down their groves: [1] For you shall worship no other god: For the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God: [1] Lest you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring After their gods, and do sacrifice unto their gods, And one call you, and you eat of his sacrifice; [1] And you take of their daughters unto your sons, And their daughters go a whoring after their gods, And make your sons go a whoring after their gods.

Page # q / What does God say; about Praising Him? 1 Samuel 1: (NLT) But be sure to fear the Lord and sincerely worship him. Think of all the wonderful things He has done for you. 1 Samuel 1:1- (ESV) And when you saw that Nahash The king of the Ammonites came against you, you said to me, 'No, but a king shall reign over us,' When the Lord your God was your King. 1 And now behold the king whom you have chosen, for whom you have asked; behold, the Lord has set a king over you. 1 If you will fear the Lord and serve him and obey his voice And not rebel against the commandment of the Lord, And if both you and the king Who reigns over you will follow the Lord your God, it will be well. 1 But if you will not obey the voice of the Lord, But rebel against the commandment of the Lord, Then the hand of the Lord will be against you and your king. 1 Now therefore stand still and see this great thing That the Lord will do before your eyes. 1 Is it not wheat harvest today? I will call upon the Lord, That He may send thunder and rain. And you shall know and see that your wickedness is great, Which you have done in the sight of the Lord, In asking for yourselves a king." 1 So Samuel called upon the Lord, and the Lord sent thunder and rain that day, And all the people greatly feared the Lord and Samuel. 1 And all the people said to Samuel, "Pray for your servants to the Lord your God, That we may not die, for we have added to all our sins this evil, To ask for ourselves a king." 0 And Samuel said to the people, "Do not be afraid; you have done all this evil. Yet do not turn aside from following the Lord, But serve the Lord with all your heart. 1 And do not turn aside after empty things that cannot profit or deliver, For they are empty. For the Lord will not forsake his people, for his great name's sake, Because it has pleased the Lord to make you a people for himself. Moreover, as for me, far be it from me That I should sin against the Lord by ceasing to pray for you, And I will instruct you in the good and the right way. Only fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart. For consider what great things He has done for you. But if you still do wickedly, You shall be swept away, both you and your king."

Page # r / What does God say; about Praising Him? Kings 1:- (ESV) And the king of Assyria brought people from Babylon, Cuthah, Avva, Hamath, and Sepharvaim, And placed them in the cities of Samaria instead of the people of Israel. And they took possession of Samaria and lived in its cities. And at the beginning of their dwelling there, they did not fear the Lord. Therefore the Lord sent lions among them which killed some of them. So the king of Assyria was told, "The nations That you have carried away and placed in the cities of Samaria Do not know the law of the God of the land. Therefore He has sent lions among them, And behold, they are killing them, Because they do not know the law of the God of the land." Then the king of Assyria commanded, "Send there one of the priests whom you carried away from there, And let him go and dwell there And teach them the law of the God of the land." So one of the priests whom they had carried away from Samaria came And lived in Bethel and taught them how they should fear the Lord. But every nation still made gods of its own And put them in the shrines of the high places That the Samaritans had made, Every nation in the cities in which they lived. 0 The men of Babylon made Succoth-benoth, the men of Cuth made Nergal, The men of Hamath made Ashima, 1 And the Avvites made Nibhaz and Tartak; And the Sepharvites burned their children in the fire To Adrammelech and Anammelech, the gods of Sepharvaim. They also feared the Lord and appointed from among themselves All sorts of people as priests of the high places, Who sacrificed for them in the shrines of the high places. So they feared the Lord but also served their own gods, After the manner of the nations From among whom they had been carried away. To this day they do according to the former manner. They do not fear the Lord, And they do not follow the statutes or the rules or the law Or the commandment that the Lord commanded the children of Jacob, Whom He named Israel. The Lord made a covenant with them and commanded them, "You shall not fear other gods or bow yourselves to them Or serve them or sacrifice to them, But you shall fear the Lord, who brought you out of the land of Egypt With Great Power and with an outstretched arm. You shall bow yourselves to Him, And to Him you shall sacrifice. (story continued on page #s)

Page # s / What does God say; about Praising Him? Kings 1:-1 (ESV) (continuation from page #r) And the statutes And the rules and the law And the commandment that He wrote for you, You shall always be careful to do. You shall not fear other gods, And you shall not forget the covenant that I have made with you. You shall not fear other gods, But you shall fear the Lord your God, and he will deliver you Out of the hand of all your enemies." 0 However, they would not listen, but they did according to their former manner. 1 So these nations feared the Lord And also served their carved images. Their children did likewise, and their children's children--- As their fathers did, so they do to this day. Psalms :1-(ESV) Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; Let us make a joyful noise to the Rock of our salvation! Let us come into His presence with thanksgiving; Let us make a joyful noise to Him with songs of praise! For the Lord is a Great God, and a Great King above all gods. In His hand are the depths of the earth; the heights of the mountains are his also. The sea is His, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land. Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker! For He is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. Today, if you hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts, as at Meribah, as on the day at Massah in the wilderness, When your fathers put Me to the test and put me to the proof, Though they had seen My work. For forty years I loathed that generation and said, "They are a people who go astray in their heart, And they have not known My ways." Therefore I swore in my wrath, "They shall not enter my rest." Psalms 1:1- (ESV) O Lord, who shall sojourn in your tent? Who shall dwell on Your Holy hill? He who walks blamelessly and does what is right and speaks truth in his heart; Who does not slander with his tongue And does no evil to his neighbor, Nor takes up a reproach against his friend; In whose eyes a vile person is despised, but who honors those who fear the Lord; Who swears to his own hurt and does not change; Who does not put out his money at interest And does not take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things shall never be moved.

Page # t / What does God say; about Praising Him? 1 Chronicles 1:- (ESV) Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name; Make known His deeds among the peoples! Sing to Him; sing praises to him; tell of all his wondrous works! Glory in His Holy Name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice! Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually! 1 Remember the wondrous works that He has done, His miracles and the judgments he uttered, 1 O offspring of Israel His servant, sons of Jacob, his chosen ones! 1 He is the Lord our God; his judgments are in all the earth. 1 Remember His covenant forever, the word that he commanded, For a thousand generations, 1 The covenant that He made with Abraham, his sworn promise to Isaac, 1 Which He confirmed as a statute to Jacob, as an everlasting covenant to Israel, 1 Saying, "To you I will give the land of Canaan, as your portion for an inheritance." 1 When you were few in number, And of little account, and sojourners in it, 0 Wandering from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people, 1 He allowed no one to oppress them; he rebuked kings on their account, Saying, "Touch not My anointed ones, do my prophets no harm!" Sing to the Lord, all the earth! Tell of His salvation from day to day. Declare His Glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples! For Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised, And He is to be held in awe above all gods. For all the gods of the peoples are idols, but the Lord made the Heavens. Splendor and majesty are before Him; Strength and joy are in His place. Ascribe to the Lord, O clans of the peoples, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength! Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; Bring an offering and come before Him! Worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness; 0 Tremble before Him, all the earth; yes, the world is established; It shall never be moved. 1 Let the Heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice, And let them say among the nations, "The Lord reigns!" Let the sea roar, and all that fills it; let the field exult, and everything in it! Then shall the trees of the forest sing for joy before the Lord, For He comes to judge the earth. Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever! Say also: "Save us, O God of our salvation, And gather and deliver us from among the nations, That we may give thanks to Your Holy Name, and glory in your praise. Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting!" Then all the people said, "Amen!" and praised the Lord.

Page # u / What does God say; about Praising Him? Psalms :1- (ESV) (prophecy of Jesus) My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are You so far from saving Me, From the words of my groaning? O My God, I cry by day, but you do not answer, And by night, but I find no rest. Yet You are Holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel. In You our fathers trusted; they trusted, and you delivered them. To You they cried and were rescued; In You they trusted and were not put to shame. But I am a worm and not a man, scorned by mankind and despised by the people. All who see Me mock me; they make mouths at me; they wag their heads; "He trusts in the Lord; let him deliver him; Let Him rescue Him, for he delights in him!" Yet You are he who took Me from the womb; You made Me trust you at my mother's breasts. On You was I cast from my birth, And from My mother's womb You have been my God. Be not far from Me, for trouble is near, and there is none to help. 1 Many bulls encompass Me; Strong bulls of Bashan surround Me; 1 They open wide their mouths at Me, like a ravening and roaring lion. 1 I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint; My heart is like wax; it is melted within my breast; 1 My strength is dried up like a potsherd, And My tongue sticks to my jaws; You lay me in the dust of death. 1 For dogs encompass Me; a company of evildoers encircles me; They have pierced My hands and feet--- 1 I can count all my bones--- they stare and gloat over me; 1 They divide My garments among them, and for my clothing they cast lots. 1 But You, O Lord, do not be far off! O You My help, come quickly to my aid! 0 Deliver My soul from the sword, my precious life from the power of the dog! 1 Save Me from the mouth of the lion! You have rescued Me from the horns of the wild oxen! I will tell of Your name to my brothers; In the midst of the congregation I will praise You: You who fear the Lord, praise him! All you offspring of Jacob, glorify him, And stand in awe of Him, all you offspring of Israel! For He has not despised or abhorred the affliction of the afflicted, And He has not hidden his face from him, But has heard, when he cried to Him. From You comes my praise in the great congregation; My vows I will perform before those who fear Him. The afflicted shall eat and be satisfied; those who seek Him shall praise the Lord! May your hearts live forever!

Page # v / What does God say; about Praising Him? Psalms :1-1 (ESV) Oh sing to the Lord a new song; Sing to the Lord, all the earth! Sing to the Lord, bless his name; tell of his salvation from day to day. Declare His Glory among the nations, His marvelous works among all the peoples! For Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; he is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the peoples are worthless idols, But the Lord made the Heavens. Splendor and Majesty are before Him; Strength and Beauty are in his sanctuary. Ascribe to the Lord, O families of the peoples, Ascribe to the Lord glory and strength! Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; bring an offering, And come into His courts! Worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness; tremble before him, all the earth! Say among the nations, "The Lord Reigns! Yes, the world is established; It shall never be moved; He will judge the peoples with equity." Let the Heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; Let the sea roar, and all that fills it; 1 Let the field exult, and everything in it! Then shall all the trees of the forest sing for joy 1 Before the Lord, for he comes, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness, And the peoples in His faithfulness. Revelation :- (ESV) And he said to me, "These Words are trustworthy and true. And the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, Has sent His angel to show his servants what must soon take place." "And behold, I am coming soon. Blessed is the one Who keeps the Words of the prophecy of this book." I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I heard and saw them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed them to me, But he said to me, "You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers the prophets, And with those who keep the Words of this book. Worship God." Psalms :- (ESV) All the ends of the earth shall remember And turn to the Lord, And all the families of the nations shall worship before You. For Kingship belongs to the Lord, and he rules over the nations. 1 Kings : (KJV) For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, That his wives turned away his heart after other gods: And his heart Was not perfect with the Lord his God, As was the heart of David his father.

Page # w / What does God say; about Praising Him? Psalms :1-1 (ESV) The Lord reigns, let the earth rejoice; Let the many coastlands be glad! Clouds and thick darkness are all around Him; Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. Fire goes before Him and burns up his adversaries all around. His lightning s light up the world; The earth sees and trembles. The mountains melt like wax before the Lord, before the Lord of all the earth. The Heavens proclaim His Righteousness, and all the peoples see his glory. All worshipers of images are put to shame, Who make their boast in worthless idols; worship Him, all you gods! Zion hears and is glad, and the daughters of Judah rejoice, Because of Your judgments, O Lord. For You, O Lord, are most high over all the earth; You are exalted far above all gods. O you who love the Lord, hate evil! He preserves the lives of his saints; He delivers them from the hand of the wicked. Light is sown for the righteous, and joy for the upright in heart. 1 Rejoice in the Lord, O you righteous, and give thanks to his holy name! Psalm :- (KJV) Sing praises to God, sing praises: Sing praises unto our King, Sing praises. [] For God is the King of all the earth: Sing you praises with understanding. Rev. 1: (NLT) "Fear God," he shouted. "Give glory to Him. For the time has come when he will sit as judge. Worship Him who made Heaven And earth, the sea, and all the springs of water." Hebrews 1: (KJV) Wherefore we receiving a Kingdom which cannot be moved, Let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably With reverence and godly fear: Psalms 0:1- (ESV) Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth! Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing! Know that the Lord, he is God! It is he who made us, And we are His; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to Him; bless his name! For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, And His faithfulness to all generations. Psalm :1 (NLT) Praise the Lord, I tell myself; O Lord my God, How Great You are! You are robed with honor and with majesty;
