RELIGIOUS LEADERS PLOT TO KILL JESUS MATTHEW 26 1 And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these sayings, he said unto his disciples, (The Bible tells us After two days was the feast of the passover, and of unleavened bread: and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take him by craft, and put him to death (Supposedly the people of God, offering sacrifices and praying and now kill the king in trickery.) (The Bible tells us After two days was the feast of the passover, and of unleavened bread: and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take him by craft, and put him to death. 2 But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar of the people. Mark 14:1-2) (The Bible tells us Now the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is called the Passover (Originally in Egypt-one night evening meal which was Passover and as the 7 days period was called Passover.) 2 And the chief priests and scribes sought how they might kill him; for they feared the people (On one hand they feared the people as about 2 million and yet some politically minded leaders didn t want to listen to Him.). Luke 22:1-2) 2 Ye know that after two days is the feast of the Passover (Not Easter.), and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified (By the will of His Father according to His plan.). 3 Then assembled together the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders of the people, unto the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas, (The nature of men; tell me the truth and I will kill you.) (The Bible tells us 2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, 3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. 4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision. Psalm 2:2-4) (The Bible tells us 47 Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many miracles. 48 If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation. John 11:47-48) (The Bible tells us 11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord (not self) 12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; 13 Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality. 14 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not (Contrary to nature.). 15 Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. 16 Be of the same mind one toward another (harmony). Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate (humble). Be not wise in your own conceits (opinions). Romans 12:11-16) 4 And consulted that they might take Jesus by subtilty (trickery), and kill him.

5 But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar among the people (Passover was the time He was supposed to die, God s plan.). A WOMAN ANOINTS JESUS WITH EXPENSIVE PERFUME 6 Now when Jesus was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper (Was healed by this time or wouldn t have gone to his house.), 7 There came unto him a woman having an alabaster box of very precious ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat at meat. (The Bible tells us 17 And he left them, and went out of the city into Bethany; and he lodged there. Matthew 21:17) (The Bible tells us Now a certain man was sick, named Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha. John 11:1) 8 But when his disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, To what purpose is this waste? (Judus said this.) 9 For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor. 10 When Jesus understood it, he said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me. (She is being diligent; not that she knew when He was going to die; but Jesus did.) 11 For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always. (The Bible tells us 11 For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land. Deuteronomy 15:11) (The Bible tells us 11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are. John 17:11) 12 For in that she hath poured this ointment on my body, she did it for my burial. 13 Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel (tidings) shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her. JUDAS AGREES TO BETRAY JESUS 14 Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests (He was deceived, and mislead and Satan crept in; didn t look at from God s perspective.) 15 And said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver (Why 30? It was a price of a slave, The Bible tells us 12 And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me my price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver. 13 And the LORD said unto me, Cast it unto the potter: a goodly

price that I was prised at of them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them to the potter in the house of the LORD. Zechariah 11:12-13). 16 And from that time he sought opportunity to betray him. DISCIPLES PREPARE FOR THE PASSOVER Passover is before the days of Unleavened Bread 17 Now the first day of the feast of unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the passover? (Start at the beginning of Exodus 12.) (The Bible tells us 5 In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the LORD's passover. 6 And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the LORD: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread. Leviticus 23:5-6) (Everything is prepared; many things.) 18 And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Master saith, My time is at hand; I will keep the passover at thy house with my disciples. 19 And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them; and they made ready the passover. (About 2 mil. People came for this period.) (Exodus 12: Passover the ultimate sacrifice for all mankind; now washed and cleansed and forgiven; have to walk the way always-get rid of sin.) JESUS AND THE DISCIPLES HAVE THE PASSOVER 20 Now when the even was come, he sat down with the twelve. (If we have contempt or hatred for anyone converted or not is betraying God because the Bible is a legal document and guarantees spiritual.) (Last supper will be in God s Kingdom someday.) 21 And as they did eat, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me. 22 And they were exceeding sorrowful, and began every one of them to say unto him, Lord, is it I? 23 And he answered and said, He that dippeth his hand with me in the dish (Still did not know who it was.), the same shall betray me. 24 The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born. (The Bible tells us. (The Bible tells us 9 Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me. 10 But thou, O LORD, be merciful unto me, and raise me up, that I may requite them. 11 By this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me. Psalm 41:9-11) (The Bible tells us 15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman (Satan would move

in.), and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. Genesis 3:15) (The Bible tells us 8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken. Isaiah 53:8) Why vs. 5 (The Bible tells us 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5) (The Bible tells us 26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. Daniel 9:26) (The Bible tells us 25 Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: 26 Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory? 27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself. 46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: Luke 24:25-27, 46) (The Bible tells us 10 Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you: 11 Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow. I Peter 1:10, 11) 25 Then Judas, which betrayed him, answered and said, Master, is it I? He said unto him, Thou hast said. (We will do it when were are not treating someone kingly.) 26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body (Pray over bread and break it.) (Just like at Sinai; this is the law of God.). (The Bible tells us 22 And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away. 23 And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone. 24 But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary. 25 And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea. 26 And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear. Matthew 14:22-26) (The Bible tells us 19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. 20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you. 39 And he came out, and went, as he was wont, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also

followed him. Luke 22:19-20, 39) (The Bible tells us 16 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? 23 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: I Corinthians 10:16, 23) (This is my body-means teaching of Jesus Christ. My body is the commandments the Law of Godrighteousness; eat my law not your law; hunger and thirst after my teachings.) 27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; (Pray over wine; one doctrine, one law.) 28 For this is my blood of the new testament (will; covenant), which is shed for many for the remission of sins. (The Bible tells us 8 And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the LORD hath made with you concerning all these words. Exodus 24:8) (The Bible tells us 11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul (By the blood.). Leviticus 17:11 Many drink the blood and pay the penalty whether they know it or not.) (The Bible tells us 31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Jeremiah 31:31) (The Bible tells us 15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. Romans 5:15) (The Bible tells us 22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. Hebrews 9:22) 29 But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom (The Bible tells us 41 Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead. Acts 10:41). JESUS AGAIN PREDICTS PETER S DENIAL 30 And when they had sung an hymn (Psalm), they went out into the mount of Olives (Custom still today on the Sabbath Day; Deut. 8:10.). 31 Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad (The Bible tells us 7 Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones (They don t know what He is talking about.) Zechariah 13:7)

32 But after I am risen again, I will go before you into Galilee. 33 Peter answered and said unto him, Though all men shall be offended because of thee, yet will I never be offended (When we behave like Peter; Satan comes in; arrogance-they ll attitude; we don t know until we get into a situation; need to pray to be humble.). (The Bible tells us 75 And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly. Matthew 26:75) (The Bible tells us 30 And Jesus saith unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this day, even in this night, before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice. Mark 14:30) (The Bible tells us 34 And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me. Luke 22:34) (The Bible tells us 38 Jesus answered him, Wilt thou lay down thy life for my sake? Verily, verily, I say unto thee, The cock shall not crow, till thou hast denied me thrice. John 13:38) 34 Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this night, before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. 35 Peter said unto him, Though I should die with thee, yet will I not deny thee. Likewise also said all the disciples (He was defying Christ here. Imagine that!) (If we want to serve God; we must give up our thoughts, emotions, etc and put on God. We must repent of what we are. We are wrong, we are evil; we must hate evil and put it to death.) JESUS AGONIZES IN THE GARDEN 36 Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane (grove of olives), and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder. (The Bible tells us 32 And they came to a place which was named Gethsemane: and he saith to his disciples, Sit ye here, while I shall pray. 33 And he taketh with him Peter and James and John, and began to be sore amazed, and to be very heavy; 34 And saith unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death: tarry ye here, and watch. Mark 14:32-34) (The Bible tells us 39 And he came out, and went, as he was wont, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed him. 40 And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation. 41 And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, 42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. 43 And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. 44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground. 45 And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow,

46 And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. Luke 22:39-46) (The Bible tells 39 And he came out, and went, as he was wont, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed him. 45 And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow, 46 And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. Luke 22:39-46) (The Bible tells us When Jesus had spoken these words, he went forth with his disciples over the brook Cedron, where was a garden, into the which he entered, and his disciples. John 18:1) 37 And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy. 38 Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me. (Knowing what is a head of Him. He has to go through with it.) (The Bible tells us 27 Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour (I have no choice; must do it anyway.). John 12:27) 39 And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. (The Bible tells us 22 But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able. Matthew 20:22) (The Bible tells us 30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. John 5:30) (The Bible tells us 38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. John 6:38) (The Bible tells us 7 Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared (Godly fear); 8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered (Obey unto death-why very few make it.); Hebrews 5:7-8)

40 And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour? (It was more important for them to sleep instead of what He commanded.) 41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak (Wishful thinkers but don t do anything about it. Fight the flesh constantly.). (The Bible tells us 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints (not just forself); 19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel (tidings), (Thank God is creating men in His own image; that we will be like Him.) Ephesians 6:18-19) (The Bible tells us 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: I Peter 5:8) 42 He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done (Typical of Bridegroom coming and His people will be asleep.). 43 And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy (If He comes to our door and finds us sleeping; He ll just walk away.) 44 And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words. 45 Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now (Are you still sleeping.), and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners (If not meditating or praying.). (The Bible tells us 23 And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified (When crucified and then resurrectedwhen His sacrifice was accepted.) 24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit (So unless He is put to death, there would be no life. So unless we die and resurrected we will live again.). 25 He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. 26 If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour. 27 Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour. John 12:23-27) 46 Rise, let us be going: behold, he is at hand that doth betray me (Would go through with it.). JESUS IS BETREAYED AND ARRESTED

47 And while he yet spake, lo, Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and elders of the people (Pretends to be a friend-hypocrisy). (The Bible tells us 47 And while he yet spake, behold a multitude, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them, and drew near unto Jesus to kiss him. 48 But Jesus said unto him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss? 49 When they which were about him saw what would follow, they said unto him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword? 50 And one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear. 51 And Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear, and healed him. 52 Then Jesus said unto the chief priests, and captains of the temple, and the elders, which were come to him, Be ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and staves? 53 When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness. Luke 22:47-53) (The ones responsible for what was going to happen; representative of all mankind-without this sacrifice there would be no salvation.) (The Bible tells us When Jesus had spoken these words, he went forth with his disciples over the brook Cedron, where was a garden, into the which he entered, and his disciples. 2 And Judas also, which betrayed him, knew the place: for Jesus ofttimes resorted thither with his disciples. 3 Judas then, having received a band of men and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, cometh thither with lanterns and torches and weapons. 4 Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, went forth, and said unto them, Whom seek ye? 5 They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them. 6 As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground. 7 Then asked he them again, Whom seek ye? And they said, Jesus of Nazareth. 8 Jesus answered, I have told you that I am he: if therefore ye seek me, let these go their way: 9 That the saying might be fulfilled, which he spake, Of them which thou gavest me have I lost none. 10 Then Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and smote the high priest's servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant's name was Malchus. 11 Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it? 12 Then the band and the captain and officers of the Jews took Jesus, and bound him, John 18:1-12) 48 Now he that betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he: hold him fast. (Didn t look any different than any of the 12 disciples.) 49 And forthwith he came to Jesus, and said, Hail, master; and kissed him. 50 And Jesus said unto him, Friend (in sarcasm), wherefore art thou come? Then came they, and laid hands on Jesus and took him. (The Bible tells us 9 Yea, mine

own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me. Psalm 41:9) (The Bible tells us 12 For it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I could have borne it: neither was it he that hated me that did magnify himself against me; then I would have hid myself from him: 13 But it was thou, a man mine equal, my guide, and mine acquaintance. Psalm 55:12-13) 51 And, behold, one of them which were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high priest's, and smote off his ear. 52 Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword (Jesus said turn the other cheek; if you think that is the way to settle things; you will perish physically and spiritually.). (The Bible tells us 6 Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man. Genesis 9:6) (The Bible tells us 10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints. Revelation 13:10) 53 Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels? (Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit.) (The Bible tells us 16 And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. 17 And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. 2 Kings 6:16-17) (The Bible tells us 11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. Psalms 91:11) 54 But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be? (Don t stand in the way.) 55 In that same hour said Jesus to the multitudes, Are ye come out as against a thief with swords and staves for to take me? I sat daily with you teaching in the temple, and ye laid no hold on me. (The Bible tells us 35 And Jesus answered and said, while he taught in the temple, How say the scribes that Christ is the son of David? Mark 12:35) (The Bible tells us 49 I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and ye took me not: but the scriptures must be fulfilled. (It was all God s plan.) Mark 14:49) (The Bible tells us 20 And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister (attendant), and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. 21 And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears (Were waiting for the explanation). (The Bible tells us 20 And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister (attendant), and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. Luke 4:20) (The Bible tells us 37 And in the day time he was teaching in the temple; and at night he went out,

and abode in the mount that is called the mount of Olives. Luke 21:37) (The Bible tells us 14 Now about the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple, and taught. John 7:14) (The Bible tells us 28 Then cried Jesus in the temple as he taught, saying, Ye both know me, and ye know whence I am: and I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know not. John 7:28) (The Bible tells us 20 These words spake Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come. John 8:20) 56 But all this was done, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled. (God planned all these things in advance.) (The Bible tells us 7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. Isaiah 53:7) (The Bible tells us 26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. Daniel 9:26) (The Bible tells us 15 And Simon Peter followed Jesus, and so did another disciple: that disciple was known unto the high priest, and went in with Jesus into the palace of the high priest. John 18:15) CAIAPHAS QUESTIONS JESUS 57 And they that had laid hold on Jesus led him away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were assembled. (The Bible tells us 53 And they led Jesus away to the high priest: and with him were assembled all the chief priests and the elders and the scribes (Don t see the Pharisees.). 54 And Peter followed him afar off, even into the palace of the high priest: and he sat with the servants, and warmed himself at the fire (Vs. 43, 53). 55 And the chief priests and all the council sought for witness against Jesus to put him to death; and found none. 56 For many bare false witness against him, but their witness agreed not together. 57 And there arose certain, and bare false witness against him, saying, 58 We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands (Didn t understand what He was saying.). 59 But neither so did their witness agree together. 60 And the high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Jesus, saying, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee? 61 But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed? 62 And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. 63 Then the high priest rent his clothes, and saith, What need we any further witnesses? 64 Ye have heard the blasphemy: what think ye? And they all condemned him to be

guilty of death. 65 And some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to buffet him, and to say unto him, Prophesy: and the servants did strike him with the palms of their hands. Mark 14:53-65) 58 But Peter followed him afar off unto the high priest's palace, and went in, and sat with the servants, to see the end. (The Bible tells us 54 Then took they him, and led him, and brought him into the high priest's house. And Peter followed afar off. 55 And when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the hall, and were set down together, Peter sat down among them. Luke 22:54-55) 59 Now the chief priests, and elders, and all the council (That showed up.), sought false witness against Jesus, to put him to death; 60 But found none: yea, though many false witnesses came, yet found they none. At the last came two false witnesses, (The Bible tells us 15 One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established. Deuteronomy 19:15) (The Bible tells us 10 And set two men, sons of Belial, before him, to bear witness against him, saying, Thou didst blaspheme God and the king. And then carry him out, and stone him, that he may die. I Kings 21:10) (The Bible tells me 12 Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty. 13 I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. 14 Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD. Psalm 27:12-14) 61 And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days. (Which He did say-the Devil using truth and twisting it and does it everyday.) (The Bible tells us 40 And saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross. Matthew 27:40) (The Bible tells us 19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. John 2:19) (The Bible tells us 19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. (An absolute lie.) Acts 6:14) 62 And the high priest arose, and said unto him, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee? (The Bible tells us 12 And when he was accused of the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing. Matthew 27:12) 63 But Jesus held his peace, And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God (I put you under oath.), that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God. (The Bible tells us And if a soul sin, and hear the

voice of swearing, and is a witness, whether he hath seen or known of it; if he do not utter it, then he shall bear his iniquity. Leviticus 5:1) 64 Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. (The Bible tells us The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. Psalms 110:1) (The Bible tells us 13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. Daniel 7:13) (The Bible tells us 13 And at the second time Joseph was made known to his brethren; and Joseph's kindred was made known unto Pharaoh. Acts 7:13) (The Bible tells us 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: I Thessalonians 4:16) (The Bible tells us 7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. Revelation 1:7) 65 Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy (God allowed their mind to be closed.). (The Bible tells us 16 And he that blasphemeth the name of the LORD, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him: as well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemeth the name of the Lord, shall be put to death. Leviticus 24:16) (The Bible tells us 37 Then came Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, which was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah the son of Asaph the recorder, to Hezekiah with their clothes rent, and told him the words of Rabshakeh. 2 Kings 18:37) (The Bible tells us 7 The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by our law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God (Cannot change the plan of God; it has to be this way.). John 19:7) (The Bible tells us 15 And killed the Prince (Author) of life, whom God hath raised from the dead (not alive in heaven); whereof we are witnesses. 16 And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all (Christ continuing His ministry through them.). 17 And now, brethren, I wot that through ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers (Not enemies; not you Jews or we Christian). 18 But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled. Acts 3:15-18) (The Bible tells us 52 Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers: (Every time we turn away and disobey the law of God we become murderers.) 53 Who have received the law by the disposition

(Direction) of angels, and have not kept it. ) God spoke to Moses face to face; also by angels spoke to Daniel.) Acts 7:52-53) 66 What think ye? They answered and said, He is guilty of death. 67 Then did they spit in his face, and buffeted him; and others smote him with the palms of their hands, (The Bible tells us 6 I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting. Isaiah 50:6) (The Bible tells us 3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Isaiah 53:3) (The Bible tells us Now gather thyself in troops, O (Jerusalem) daughter of troops: he hath laid siege against us: they shall smite the judge of Israel with a rod upon the cheek. 2 But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel (The Prince of Peace.); whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting. Micah 5:1-2) 68 Saying, Prophesy unto us, thou Christ, Who is he that smote thee? (Very foolish; unclean spirit entered in to them-demonic spirit around him.) PETER DENIES KNOWING JESUS 69 Now Peter sat without in the palace: and a damsel (A servant of the High Priest.) came unto him, saying, Thou also wast with Jesus of Galilee. (The Bible tells us 66 And as Peter was beneath in the palace, there cometh one of the maids of the high priest: (When were are not in control of our fears will be an control of us. Peter was afraid of two girls.) (The Bible tells us 66 And as Peter was beneath in the palace, there cometh one of the maids of the high priest: 67 And when she saw Peter warming himself, she looked upon him, and said, And thou also wast with Jesus of Nazareth. 68 But he denied, saying, I know not, neither understand I what thou sayest. And he went out into the porch; and the cock crew. 69 And a maid saw him again, and began to say to them that stood by, This is one of them. 70 And he denied it again. And a little after, they that stood by said again to Peter, Surely thou art one of them: for thou art a Galilaean, and thy speech agreeth thereto. 70 And he denied it again. And a little after, they that stood by said again to Peter, Surely thou art one of them: for thou art a Galilaean, and thy speech agreeth thereto. 71 But he began to curse and to swear, saying, I know not this man of whom ye speak. 72 And the second time the cock crew. And Peter called to mind the word that Jesus said unto him, Before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice. And when he thought thereon, he wept. Mark 14:66-72) (The Bible tells us 55 And when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the hall, and were set down together, Peter sat down among them. 56 But a

certain maid beheld him as he sat by the fire, and earnestly looked upon him, and said, This man was also with him. 57 And he denied him, saying, Woman, I know him not. 58 And after a little while another saw him, and said, Thou art also of them. And Peter said, Man, I am not. 59 And about the space of one hour after another confidently affirmed, saying, Of a truth this fellow also was with him: for he is a Galilaean. 60 And Peter said, Man, I know not what thou sayest. And immediately, while he yet spake, the cock crew. 61 And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. 62 And Peter went out, and wept bitterly. Luke 22:55-62) (The Bible tells us 25 And Simon Peter stood and warmed himself. They said therefore unto him, Art not thou also one of his disciples? He denied it, and said, I am not. 26 One of the servants of the high priest, being his kinsman whose ear Peter cut off, saith, Did not I see thee in the garden with him? 27 Peter then denied again: and immediately the cock crew. John 18:25-27) 69 And a maid saw him again, and began to say to them that stood by, This is one of them. (Why is he so afraid; why is he acting this way; one of the Chief Disciples.) 70 But he denied before them all, saying, I know not what thou sayest. 71 And when he was gone out into the porch, another maid saw him, and said unto them that were there, This fellow was also with Jesus of Nazareth. 72 And again he denied with an oath, I do not know the man. 73 And after a while came unto him they that stood by, and said to Peter, Surely thou also art one of them; for thy speech bewrayeth thee. (You are a Galilaean.) 74 Then began he to curse and to swear, saying, I know not the man. And immediately the cock crew. 75 And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly. (This is what

happens to every one of us. Don t point the finger; did not have His spirit yet.) (Vs. 75-Before the crier cries three time; not a rooster in the Temple there were criers announced in the Temple.) 17 RELIGIOUS LEADERS PLOT TO KILL JESUS AND IT CAME TO PASS, WHEN JESUS HAD FINISHED ALL THESE SAYING, HE SAID UNTO HIS DICIPLES, AFTER TWO DAYS WAS THE FEAST OF PASSOVER, AND OF UNLEAVENED BREAD: AND THE CHIEF PRIESTS AND THE SCRIBES SOUGHT HOW THEY MIGHT TAKE HIM CRAFT, AND PUT HIM TO DEATH. YE KNOW THAT AFTER TWO DAYS IS THE FEAST OF PASSOVER (Not Easter), AND THE SON OF MAN IS BETRAYED TO BE CRUCIFIED. AND CONSULTED THAT MIGHT TAKE JESUS BY SUBTILY (Trickery), AND KILL HIM. PASSOVER WAS THE TIME HE WAS SUPPOSED TO DIE (GOD S PLAN) NOW WHEN THE EVEN WAS COME, HE SAT DOWN WITH THE TWELVE. AND AS THEY DID EAT, HE SAID, VERILY I SAY UNTO YOU, THAT ONE OF YOU SHALL BETRAY ME. AND THEY WERE EXCEEDING SORROWFUL, AND BEGAN

EVERYONE OF THEM TO SAY UNTO HIM, LORD, IS IT I? AND HE ANSWERED AND SAID, HE THAT DIPPETH HIS HAND WITH ME IN THE DISH, THE SAME SHALL BETRAY ME. THE SON OF MAN GOETH AS IT IS WRITTEN OF HIM: BUT WOE UNTO THAT MAN BY WHOM THE SON OF MAN IS BETRAYED! IT HAD BEEN GOOD FOR THAT MAN IF HE HAD NOT BEEN BORN. YEA, MINE OWN FAMILIAR FRIEND, IN WHOM I TRUSTED, WHICH DID EAT OF MY BREAD, HATH LIFTED UP HIS HEEL AGAINST ME. BUT THOU, O LORD, BE MERCIFUL UNTO ME, AND RAISE ME UP, THAT I MAY REQUITE THEM. BY THIS I KNOW THAT THOU FAVOUREST ME, BECAUSE MINE ENEMEY DOTH NOT TRIUMPH OVER ME. (Psalm 41:9-11) HE IS DESPISED AND REJECTED OF MEN; A MAN OF SORROWS, AND ACQUANTED WITH GREIF; AND WE HID AS IT WERE OUR FACES FROM HIM; HE WAS DESPISED, AND WE ESTEEMED HIM NOT.

SURELY HE HATH BORNE OUR GRIEFS, AND CARRIED OUR SORROWS; YET WE DID ESTEEM HIM STRICKEN, SMITTEN OF GOD, AND AFFLICTED. BUT HE WAS WOUNDED FOR OUR TRANSGRESSION, HE WAS BRUISED FOR OUR INIQUITITES: AND THE CHASTIMENT OF OUR PEACE WAS UPON HIM; AND WITH HIS STRIPES WE ARE HEALED. ALL WE LIKE SHEEP HAVE GONE ASTRAY; WE HAVE TURNED EVERYONE TO HIS OWN WAY; AND THE LORD HATH LAID ON HIM THE INIQUITY OF US ALL. (God orchestrated the crucifixion; all had a part in it.) HE WAS OPPRESSED, AND HE WAS AFFLICTED, YET HE OPENED NOT HIS MOUTH: HE WAS BROUGHT AS A LAMB TO SLAUGHTER, AND AS A SHEEP BEFORE HER, SO HE OPENED NOT HIS MOUTH. HE WAS TAKEN FROM PRISON AND FROM JUDGEMENT: WHO CAN DECLARE HIS GENERATION? FOR HE WAS CUT OFF OUT OF THE LAND OF THE LIVING: FOR THE TRANSGRESSION OF MY PEOPLE (Israel) WAS HE STRICKEN. Isaiah 53:3-8

WHY DID HE DO IT? TO CLEANSE AND PURIFY HIS PEOPLE. MEMORY VERSE For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. Psalms 91:11
