1 Thirteen Sabbath Program Kindergarten Class September 26, 2015 Theme: Little Missionaries for Jesus Opening Remarks Sis. K: Good morning Sabbath School members! I m so glad you are here this morning. Sabbath is such a happy day and I m so happy that the Kindergarten and Cradle Roll classes can share with you what they discovered in God s word this quarter. They looked at missionaries such as Joash the Little Prince, Esther, who saved her people, The Little Maid, who led Captain Naaman to Jesus and Moses, who answered God s call to lead the Children of Isreal to the Promise Land. Each week, we emphasized being a missionary for Jesus and so our theme for today is Little Missionaries for Jesus. Let s stand and sing our opening song, Jesus wants me for a Sunbeam, LVPM Congregation: 1. Jesus wants me for a sunbeam To shine for him each day In every way try to please him At home, at school at play. A sunbeam, a sunbeam Jesus wants me for a sunbeam A sunbeam, a sunbeam I ll be a sunbeam for Him. 2. 2 Let s remain standing as we pray. Let us sing Let s Have a Talk with Jesus. Let s have a talk with Jesus Let s close our eyes and say Dear Jesus, please be with us In Sabbath school today. (Prayer} It s time to read God s word which tells us about his love for us. Let s sing our Bible song Bible, Bible, Jesus talks to me. Bible Book, let me look Jesus talks to me. Bible, Bible, Jesus talks to me. Bible Book, let me look Jesus talks to me. Our scripture reading comes to us from Matthew 28:18-20 Then Jesus came to them and said, All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Sis. K: Please be seated. Thank you Marley. Church family this is why we do, what we do, as Christians. It is also the reason that we are all to be involved with the Harvest and should be Missionaries for Jesus. And so, we would like to present the skit: Wake Up! The Harvest is Ready! (loudly to the villagers) Wake up! Wake up! For the Harvest is ready! [None of the VILLAGERS respond. One may even snore a little.] P a g e 2 9

3 (a little louder) Villages: Go away! Be quiet! It s too early! Go back to sleep! (Snore ) [David Jesse looks at the audience. He smiles and winks. David Jesse walks over to VILLAGER #1 and speaks again. He may even shout, or beat on a pan! ] Denise: (sleepily) What?! No You re mistaken. It is 4 months until the harvest. No, no! Just look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest! [Denise looks at the fields and sees that they are ready for harvest.] Denise: Well, so they are. Hmmm. How about that?! But, I don t care about a harvest that comes too early. I m going back to bed. [Denise returns to her bed. David Jesse goes to Denise.] (dreaming) Not now, Honey. Go back to sleep. (more insistent)! What?! Oh, it s you. Go away! It s too early. I m asleep! But, the Harvest is ready. Well, I m not ready. I m sleepy. Besides, a harvest is a lot of work. Make someone else to do it! I m going back to bed. P a g e 3 9

4 [Lamoya returns to her bed. David Jesse goes to Marley.] Oh, no! Not again! Please go away! You know I can t help you. But the fields are ripe and ready for harvest. I know And you want me to help. But, I m really not very good at harvesting. You should get someone else. I m going back to bed. [Marley returns to her bed. David Jesse goes to Naomi.] No! I m having a bad hair day! Go away! But the fields are ripe and ready for Harvest! I don t have the right clothes to wear. You look fine. I might break a nail. What??!! Look, I told you. I can t do whatever it is you want me to do. Try that person over there. I m going back to bed. [Naomi returns to her bed. David Jesse goes to Shiloh.] It s too cold and it raining! It s warn outside and it s sunny! P a g e 4 9

5 Well, I m not going there s a fierce lion out there. No, there isn t!!! But there could be, I am not going out there! I m going back to bed! [Shiloh return to bed. David Jesse goes back to the center of town, wondering what to do. Sis. K enters and speaks to David Jesse] Sis. K. They have lots of excuses, don t they? You know what Jesus said: The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. Why don t we pray together, and ask Him to do that? [Sis. K and David Jesse pray together. Sis. K says the prayer out loud.] Sis. K: Lord We know Jesus said that the Harvest is plentiful. Please send out workers into your harvest field. We pray this in Jesus name. Amen. [One by one, the VILLAGERS put down their blankets and come to the center of town. They have come to work in the harvest.] Denise: I guess I care more than I thought. I guess I m not as sleepy as I thought. I guess I can try to help. I guess these clothes will be alright. Hey, there s no ferocious lion out here! (To all) Open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest! All: P a g e 5 9

Today, the harvest is ready and we are taking the door that will make us Little Missionaries for Jesus. Now we will present our memory verses. Rochelle: This quarter features the Southern Asia-Pacific Division, which includes the countries of Bangladesh, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. Almost 800 million people live in this region, including 1.2 million Seventh-day Adventists. Our thirteenth Sabbath Offering, will help: P a g e 7 9

8 build the Timor-Leste Adventist International School (TAIS) in the capital city of Dili. build a church at the Lakpahana Adventist College and Seminary in Sri Lanka. construct a school of nursing building in Gazipur, Bangladesh. CHILDREN S PROJECT: Desks for the school children at TAIS. I can be a little missionary If the gospel story to the lost I carry I can work for Jesus in the homeland, Lord her am I, send me I don t have to cross the salty ocean To the needy heathen to show my devotion I can pray and give to send to others, Who ll represent me there.
