New Jerusalem: The Restoration of All Things (Rev ) THE RESTORATION OF ALL THINGS Revelation is the last section of the book of Revelation and the angel is explaining to John the different dynamics that are involved and the implications for the overcomers, because they resisted the temptations and endured the persecutions. The angel shows John the quality of life inside the New Jerusalem.This is the anchor the Lord wants us to lay hold of in order to strengthen our hearts to resist temptation, while we are being prepared as a glorious Bride. Peter the apostle told us in Acts 3, that the Father would send Jesus. In Acts 3:19-20 he said that Israel needed to repent so that the Father could send Jesus. In Acts 3:21 it says that heaven is going to receive Him or keep Him up there; receive Him means keep Him until the times of the restoration of all things which was spoken of by the mouth of the prophets. Now the restoration of all things is seen most clearly and succinctly in Revelation What the angel is doing in this passage is giving John insight into the quality of life and into the restoration of all things so we will have the assurance that our reign on the earth will never be disturbed and will be 100 percent successful. THE NEW JERUSALEM As the saints are going through the Great Tribulation period and they are watching all the disturbance and upheaval, they need to know that once the New Jerusalem comes down, there is going to be a supernatural dimension that comes to the earth with this city. When the New Jerusalem comes down it will be an entirely new situation for the planet, because for the first time the supernatural realm and the natural realm will fully exist together on the earth. This is going to happen at the time of the second coming. The New Jerusalem is where we will live, where the saints will live with resurrected bodies. We will live in the New Jerusalem but it will come down to the earth. We will live in the New Jerusalem but we will work on the earth. The travel will be easy. The angels do it now. There are more angels in this room than you might imagine. The difference is that we cannot see them, but in that hour the veil will be lifted and we will have more interaction with the people with natural bodies on the earth than the angels do with us right now. It will even be more frequent and there will be an open heaven so it will be face to face all the time. It will have the same dynamics as what the angels are doing with us now, but in a heightened way. GOD WILL DWELL WITH MAN ON THE EARTH I am explaining this so that we comprehend what is happening in chronological section five and angelic explanation number five. The main theme in both of these sections is the theme of government. The question is who will sit on the governmental thrones to rule the earth? In chronological section five, Jesus throne will be established on earth and He will give all the thrones of the earth to His people. He will drive Satan and his throne off the earth.

2 Transcript12/7/08 Page 2 Jesus and the saints will prepare the nations during a 1000 years for the Father s throne to come down. That is the ultimate statement of where history is going. The Father s throne will come down to the earth. That is what this whole thing is about. So the primary theme of both these sections the chronological section and the angelic explanation is the theme of government. The ultimate reality, the greatest high point of human history yet to unfold, is the fact that the Father is going to dwell on the earth openly in the natural realm with human beings. That is what it means when it says that God will tabernacle with men. To tabernacle with men means to live in the natural realm with them. For the angel to tell John that people in heaven are with God is not a big statement. That is not what he is saying. He says that when God tabernacles with men he means to dwell with men He is going to live with them in the natural realm on the earth with the two dimensions brought together: the heavenly dimension and the natural dimension fully in one reality on the earth in the age to come. TWO INTENSE EXTREMES ON THE EARTH I just want to give you a sense of the uniqueness of what the Great Tribulation will bring in terms of the spiritual atmosphere on the planet. It will be two intense extremes: it will be the greatest revival in history far beyond the book of Acts, and it will be the greatest time of evil in history far beyond any period of history when wickedness was manifested in an unusual way. The reason I am pointing this out is because you will not understand the restoration the angel is talking about, unless you understand how far the earth will fall in these final three and a half years. Only then will you understand how great the restoration will be. I want you to really follow this. The first thing to point out is that Satan and all the demons are going to be cast to the earth at the beginning of the last three and a half years before Jesus returns. It is unimaginable what that will do to the atmosphere of the earth. Billions of demons will be confined to the earth. Right now they are in the heavenly places, but they are going to be on the earth operating and manifesting in a direct way. And Satan himself will be on the earth. That is number one. Number two. There are going to be several hundred billion demons that are a special class of demons. Most demons are free to operate in the heavenly realm or even on the earth but there is a special class of demons who are very intense, meaning, their make up: who they are and what they are about. They are in prison right now and they have been for some time several hundred million. Jude 6 talks about it, and 2 Peter2:4 also talks about the demons that are held in prison with chains until an appointed time, because their sins were of another order. They are in prison. They are going to be let out of prison from below and the demons from above are going to be confined to the earth. SATAN WILL GIVE HIS THRONE TO A MAN Then Satan the dragon is going to give a man his throne. It has never happened in history, that a man will have Satan s throne, which means this man will be able to operate in full satanic power like no man ever has. A man, the Antichrist, will receive the throne of Satan. Imagine this, think about it. I just do not know if we can grasp the implications.

3 Transcript12/7/08 Page 3 And then this man who has Satan s throne is going to mandate that the whole earth worships him, which boils down to Satan worship. He will mandate that they worship him as God at the pain of death if they refuse, and several billion will do this. We do not really know the number, hundreds of millions to one or two billion, plus more maybe, we do not know the number, but it will be a massive number. So imagine: all the demons from the heavenly realm will be confined to the earth and the demons in prison under the earth will be released. A man will have the throne of Satan and several billion people will be Satan worshipers. They will be operating in that spirit because, as Satan worshipers, they will have a spirit of oppression from Satan on them, and their spirit, their behavior, their language, and their decision making will be defiled several billion of them on the earth. DARKNESS AND GLORY Beloved, many parts of the earth will be hell on earth in a really graphic way. Hell will be on earth for one period of time in many places. But there will be other places in the earth where there will be pockets of mercy. There might even be several hundred miles where the glory of God is breaking forth and I believe there will be protection in those places, and there will be unusual supernatural activity. The earth will have two extremes in it at that time. The larger extreme will be the large portions of the earth which will be like hell on earth. So what happened in Genesis 3 is that Satan, the snake, came into the garden and he planted the seeds of evil in the garden of Eden years later those seeds have matured and now hell will be on earth years after he planted those seeds of evil in the garden of Eden by seducing Adam and Eve, and deceiving them, 6000 years since Adam fell 6000 plus or minus a few hell will be on earth. BINDING AND LOOSING Jesus is going to come and bring the most radical reversal of hell on earth. He is going to bring the garden of Eden back to the earth, invade hell, and drive it off the planet. He is going to do the exact opposite of what Satan did in the garden. Satan brought hell to the garden and now Jesus is going to bring the garden of Eden to hell and prevail and win back the earth. Then Jesus will return to the earth and cast Satan into prison. Jesus will call down we are talking about binding and loosing, we are talking about authority He, by His own authority, fully God, but as a man under the anointing, He will call down the New Jerusalem and loose it onto the earth and He will bind Satan in prison. Beloved, that is binding and loosing to the highest degree we can comprehend. Then, at that time, it will literally be heaven on earth. The reversal will be dynamic but the prayer movement between now and then will be the front line of defense. We can still determine the quality of the glory or the measure of the darkness. Well, the darkness will break in. The darkness must be resisted and we can resist it and keep it at a minimal level in our sphere, and release the glory of God. Because in the midst of this great conflict we are looking to where history is going: the New Jerusalem will come down to the earth.

4 Transcript12/7/08 Page 4 WHAT WE ARE SUPPOSED TO KNOW That which will happen in fullness at that time, will happen in part right now and that is what we are supposed to know. There are two applications to this passage: the important principle is that whatever wickedness or whatever glory will be manifested in the Great Tribulation and the millennial kingdom, whatever height it will reach in fullness, we can have in part right now. The bad guys are actually forerunners in a negative sense. They are beginning to operate in the spirit of the Antichrist at a new level, because they are reaching towards the dimension of wickedness that is coming. But as intercessors we are beginning to release the glory of God now, because whatever will come in fullness then, we can have in part right now. That is the first application of this chapter. We look at it and we say, This is ours. If it will be ours then, it is ours in part now. A PRICE WORTH PAYING The second application of Revelation is that it emboldens our soul to maintain that it is worth paying any price to live forever with Jesus in the garden of Eden on the earth again. If we lose our life, we lose our life, but we will live with Him who is fully God, fully man, on the earth in the garden of Eden in all its dimensions. We will live in the supernatural and the natural dimension of paradise with this glorious man and His glorious people forever. It does not matter what sensuality we have to refuse, or what pride or covetousness. It does not matter what persecution we will have to endure. If you buy into these two chapters, the prize will be so great. GOD S ORIGINAL INTENTION The verses I have probably shared the most in the last seven or eight years, the verses I have referenced so many times each year those of you who have been around are familiar with them are Ephesians 1:9-10. This is what Paul says. God made known to Paul the mystery or the hidden plan of His heart. Did you know God has a hidden plan in His heart? That hidden plan in Ephesians 1:10, that mystery, is to bring together the earthly realm and the heavenly realm on the earth under Jesus authority. Revelation gives us details about this plan beyond any person ever in the Bible and anyone in history. It is gives us more details about Ephesians 1:10 and more insight into the dynamics that will take place when the heavenly realm and the earthly realm come together under Jesus on the earth. It was always God s intention, that the two realms would come together. It was never His intention to have the earthly realm without the holy, spiritual, supernatural realm and it was never His intention to have the supernatural realm without the earthly realm. A TEMPORARY HOLDING PATTERN Right now when a person dies their spirit goes to be with the Lord. So from the cross to the second coming for 2000 years when a believer dies, their spirit goes to be with the Lord.

5 Transcript12/7/08 Page 5 What you have to understand, and most of you do, is that this is a temporary holding pattern. A disembodied spirit in the presence of God, as glorious as it is, is not the fullness. We do not get our resurrected bodies until the second coming and then everybody gets them. Why do we not have a resurrected body in heaven? We do not need one in heaven to relate to the environment of heaven, because the environment of heaven is not physical and we do not need a physical body until we are in a physical environment. At the second coming that temporary holding pattern is over, as glorious as it is, and then not only will we have the supernatural dimension, we will also have the physical material dimension and the two will come together on the earth. For a thousand years there will still be some negative things and there will still be sin. Not among believers with resurrected bodies, but among the people on the earth there will still be failures, there will still be some scandalous sins. There will still be some rebels not the majority and nothing like it is now but it will still be going on. We will be entering into that which is beyond anything we can imagine and after the 1000 years it will be utter perfection to the fullest degree and the Father s throne will be on the earth in the natural with us. Beloved, we will live with physical, material bodies with great weather, on the earth, eating food, talking to each other, working together, learning, teaching, discovering, loving all the things that make life so dynamic now. We will have the fullest degree of the supernatural dimension added to it forever. This is good news. This is what God wanted. THE THRONE OF GLORY When Jesus comes He is going to establish His throne on the earth. It is called the throne of glory. What a statement! What an understatement! He mentions it several times. We think, throne of glory, that is neat. We think of a throne: a chair, gold, pretty, and it has to have some good jewels on it. We wonder what His throne looks like. He is about a six foot man, you know, so it is going to be this big, and this wide. OK, some gold, some really cool lights. What else? Comfortable, OK. Angels around and resurrected saints, OK. What else? Really good colors have you ever thought about what His throne would look like? Well, if this is what you are thinking, what I just told you, throw that whole thing away, because Jesus is thinking way outside that box. We are going to describe the throne of glory because the New Jerusalem is dynamically connected the city is to this man s throne. His throne of glory Matthew 25:31 comes down to the physical earth at the time of the second coming. Jeremiah 3:17: At that time Jerusalem the city will be called The Throne. The whole city will be, because everything in the city will be influenced by and under the power of that throne, the entire city will be. You know how it is in the Catholic world. Vatican City is all about the leadership of the Pope. Everything is serving him. I do not know exactly, but that is kind of the idea.

6 Transcript12/7/08 Page 6 Jerusalem will be completely dominated by the throne, and governmental themes and truths, in reality the entire city will be, and the whole surrounding area, and all the nations will gather to it. THE THRONE WILL BE IN THE TEMPLE Ezekiel 43. Now I am not going to break this down, you will have to read it on your own. Here is what I want to tell you: the throne of Jesus in the millennial Jerusalem will actually be inside the Jerusalem temple. His presidential throne, His white house if you will, His oval office, will actually be in the prayer room. It will be in the temple which be leading the worldwide prayer movement. Believers with natural bodies will be involved in the worldwide prayer movement. They are people who will get married, have families, and then they die and enter into the New Jerusalem after that, but they will have natural bodies. It is the people who were not raptured, because they did not believe in Jesus, but neither did they take the mark of the beast. They resisted the Antichrist and in all the second coming events they will be powerfully converted and they will live their lives, have children, schools and everything else. They will be involved in a worldwide prayer movement, but so will the resurrected saints. And Jesus throne His oval office if you will, His presidential, governmental room will be in the prayer room. It will be in the temple, in the temple which is on the earth in Jerusalem. You read that in Ezekiel 43:4-7 and you can see it there. THE THRONE WILL ALSO BE IN THE NEW JERUSALEM His throne will not only be in the temple. Revelation 22 tells us that His throne will be in the New Jerusalem too. Now what? Is His throne down on the earth or is His throne in the New Jerusalem? Which is it? Does Jesus have one throne or two thrones? Is His throne down in the millennial temple like it says in Ezekiel 43 and several other places, or is it in the New Jerusalem like John saw? The answer is yes. His one throne will have two expressions. It won t be a little chair where a six foot man fits in comfortably and that is it. His throne will have an expression that goes upward into that vast glorious city and His throne will go downward and outward into the temple in Jerusalem. The throne will be connected as one vast governmental complex. It is all about His leadership over heaven and earth. It will be one throne, it will be one vast governmental complex, if you will. That is not a great term, but it is the only term I know that fits. The far end of Jesus throne will be in the New Jerusalem the north end. The south end will be in the prayer room on the earth. Now there is a term I have used for the last several years. I call it the corridor of glory. I just made up the term. The term is not biblical but the idea is biblical. I do not know, it is beyond my ability to imagine, so I just go blank. I can go so far and no further with my imagination. The corridor of glory is like this whirlwind of shekhinah glory which connects those two realms. They are dynamically connected in many ways, but is the building material of the New Jerusalem bolted down into the building material of the Jerusalem temple? Probably not. Well, how is it connected? It is separate, but it is one.

7 Transcript12/7/08 Page 7 So I imagine this whirlwind, this tornado of glory, this funnel of glory, which connects the two realms and I call it the corridor of glory. So it is one complex. A VAST GOVERNMENTAL COMPLEX Jesus throne of glory involves the north end the New Jerusalem and the south end the Jerusalem temple. It is one vast governmental complex which includes all the kings with resurrected bodies and all the kings with natural bodies. It is all one system which comes together in this great complex called the throne of glory. It is Jesus throne. This is the man for whom we are willing to bear death and persecution, without a second thought, the one we are willing to serve instead of the imposter and the usurper. When we have a vision of this glorious man and who He is and they say, If you do not worship the Antichrist we are going to kill you, you do not want to be a smart aleck, you do not want to be arrogant, but you want to say, That is it? I mean it. This glorious man on a throne of glory in the garden of Eden who loves me, who is married to me am I supposed to worship this demonized man, who hates all his worshipers, so that I do not get into trouble? You have got to be kidding! That is why this chapter is so critical. It anchors our soul in who this man is and what His throne is all about, because the New Jerusalem is really about our life in the age to come, about the garden of Eden restored on the earth, and it is also a dynamic insight into a man s throne which gives us insight into this man. Beloved, He is worthy to give Him all of our money. He is worthy to give Him all our time. He is worthy to live for in unusual dedication, and He is worthy to die for. He is worthy to go to prison for, for 50 years. He is absolutely worth it. Do we know who this man is? YOUNG PEOPLE WILL GRASP THIS I have here four reasons why the New Jerusalem is close to the earth, but it is not on the earth, and there are more besides. When these young 8 and 10 year olds grow up we will probably have eight or ten reasons. They will so understand this. You know some of us have been going hard after this understanding of Jesus glory as referenced in the end times, we are going hard after it, but it will be so easy for these young people to think through these issues ten, twenty, thirty years from now if the Lord tarries. They do not have to get rid of old paradigms and old perspectives. We are struggling just to do addition and multiplication. It is as if someone says, You know nine plus six? OK, we got it. You think you got it? OK, nine times six. Oh, man. OK, how does this work? I mean, we just trip over the simple elementary details of Jesus throne of glory, which is fine, but it is as if the Lord says, Come on, just stay with it. I am talking about me. But ten, twenty, and thirty years from now, these young people will grasp these things. They will not wonder about nine plus six or nine times six. That is the difference between someone who knows nothing about the end

8 Transcript12/7/08 Page 8 times and the people in the earth who know the most. It is the difference between multiplication and addition. These young people are going to be doing calculus and beyond in some years. I am looking at my little answers and I am thinking of them looking at these handouts and saying, You know Mike was a neat little guy back in They will look at it in 30 years and they will say, That was neat. He was trying. At least I am admitting it 30 years ahead of time. CLOSE TO THE EARTH BUT NOT ON THE EARTH I have four reasons why the New Jerusalem is close to the earth, but it is not on the earth. It is close to the earth but not on the earth. Reason number one: The size of the millennial Jerusalem is given in Ezekiel and it is only ten square miles. The size of Jerusalem on the earth in the Millennium is ten square miles, but the New Jerusalem is nearly 1500 miles so we know it cannot be on the earth because a 1500 mile city does not fit in a ten mile space. The New Jerusalem would take the entire Mediterranean and all the Middle East, so it is not on the earth, that is clear. Number two: it is close to the earth, because Revelation 21:24-26 tells us that the kings on the millennial earth will go in and out of the New Jerusalem. So they do not get into a space rocket and go somewhere far away. They go in and bring their glory, they bring the treasures. I do not mean just money either. The things they treasure is the fruit of their labor in their nation. They will bring it into the city to offer it to Jesus. Not that He wants it, as if He is saying, OK, give Me your work, but my assumption is that He then assigns the fruit of that labor to bless other parts of His kingdom. It will be like tithes and offerings. THE KINGS GO IN AND OUT OF THE CITY Now, they will really give their treasures to Him. They will really bring them into the city. They will bring their treasures, their glory, the very best of the fruit of their labors. They will go in and out of the city, but I have no doubt there will be a very, very specific protocol and it will be of the highest order of privilege for these kings the times they get to go into the city. My point is not what the protocol is and how often they go and what they actually bring into the city. Again, they will bring their glory. It will be the fruit of all their labor in their nations. It will be the cream of the crop of all their labors as a nation. The point I want to make is that they do go in and out of it. So we know that the New Jerusalem cannot be on the earth, because the millennial Jerusalem is only ten miles, and this is a 1500 mile city nearly 1500 miles. But we know it has got to be close, because people with natural bodies go in and out of it. So it has to be close. THE TREES IN THE CITY Number three: inside of the city are fruit trees. These fruit trees have leaves and nothing is wasted. They do not throw the leaves away. The leaves have dynamic, supernatural properties, like the fruit, and these leaves will be necessary to bring renewal, healing, and strength to the nations.

9 Transcript12/7/08 Page 9 This is literal. They will take the leaves out. We do not know how but there are many ways. We have had little discussions on this. There are many possibilities of how this would work. Whatever possibilities we could think of, times a hundred or a thousand, and that is how many the Lord is thinking of. There are many ways for this to happen, but it is real. So, there is nobody inside the New Jerusalem who needs healing. The only people who need healing are the people outside the city, on the earth. So those leaves of healing are brought out to the nations to heal them, because the nations will be in a healing process for a very long time in the Millennium. As a matter of fact it will take a thousand years for righteousness to be firmly rooted, tested and mature. It is not hypothetical that it will take a thousand years. It will take a thousand years because it will take that long to christianize the world and bring her to maturity. EVERY INSTITUTION WILL BE MATURE IN RIGHTEOUSNESS The idea is not just that every institution will say, Yes, we love Jesus, but every institution will be mature in righteousness. It will be tested. It will be proven, and there will be substantial fruit in every institution. We are talking about the library system, the electrical system, the tax system, the police system. There will be a police force in the millennial kingdom for people with natural bodies, because people will be sinning. People will be born with a sin nature. They will have to be born again. Their bodies will need healing. They will have normal bodies, but the atmosphere will be so good that they will be healthier. The food will be very good and the devil will be in prison. Most of the people will be quite nice, but they will still have a sinful heart. So there will be laws. There will be a police force and things like that. There will not be wars. There will not be international conflict, because all the kings, these men and women, will be the most mature intercessors and men and women of God in the nation these natural kings. They will be the premier godly people of wisdom. And they will stay steady. They will not turn on the Lord. They will be mature in a very substantial way. ANGELS WILL GUARD THE CITY GATES There are three verses here. Number one: there are twelve gates in the city and there will be angels guarding them. These angels will guard the gates of the city in the way the cherubim did in the garden of Eden back in Genesis 3. When Adam and Eve sinned there was an angel who was placed as a guard, so they could not get to the Tree of Life. The guard was not symbolic, it was real. There will be angels guarding the gates, because there will be sinful people. The majority of them will really love God. I mean, you really love God and you still sin. I love God and I still sin. The devil will be in prison, but they will still have natural pride and those kinds of things motivating them. There will be angels at the gates. If there were no sinful people on the earth there would be no need for angels at the gates. Then it continues in the other verses and it says it very straight forwardly, Revelation 21:27 (paraphrased): By no means will there be anyone who gets into that city, who does not have a certain level of spiritual commitment and spiritual maturity.

10 Transcript12/7/08 Page 10 There will be a protocol to getting into that city. I am talking about people with natural bodies coming in and out of it. The few times a person gets to go into that city, will be the glory of their life. Maybe the kings get to go more often. I am sure they do. Two or three times the angel tells John that people absolutely do not get to go into that city if they have profound, unsettled issues in their lives. INDIVIDUALS WILL STILL CHOOSE WICKEDNESS Revelation 22: There will actually be some unbelievers, who will really be steeped in their rebellion towards God. They will be a very small number. Their rebellious ways will not get into national policy. Nations will not stand for it in terms of their legislation, but individuals will choose wickedness and at the end a lot of them will rise up and come against the Lord. It is interesting that as they rise up, the kings will not be with them. It will just be the rank and file across the nation. It won t be the majority of them who will rise up against the Lord at the end, but there will be a substantial number. There will be a far greater number who do not. This will not affect us, because we will have resurrected bodies. This is not something that will tempt us, but I want you to see the dynamics of what is happening. This city is coming down to this real earth and it is going to touch base in the city of Jerusalem. There will be a corridor of glory, a divine connection to it. The New Jerusalem will be the source of releasing a supernatural dimension into the millennial earth. The people us, resurrected saints we will go in and out of the gates. We will go through that corridor of glory to be in the Lord s throne of glory. The throne of glory is not just a chair. It is an entire complex. THE GATES OF THE CITY Now think about these gates. The city wall is nearly 1,500 miles in length each side. Every side is nearly 1,500 miles. Some translations say 1,500 miles. Technically it is 1,380 miles, but that is so hard to say. So, I just say nearly 1,500 miles. Some Bible versions actually just round it off. I mean, that seems a little scary just to round off something in the book of Revelation, Anyway, can you imagine it? Every side is 1,500 miles, and there are only three gates. That means there is only one gate every 500 miles. From here to Chicago is 500 miles. If you miss this gate the next one is in Chicago! Now I am sure these gates are big. I do not think we know they are ten by ten doors, they are big gates. There are angels at the gates. They are regal. They are glorious. The wall is really high and it is over 200 feet thick it is 216 feet thick, that is what it says. 200 feet which is 72 yards call it 100 yards. It is about 100 yards or about a football field thick just to get your mind around it. THE HEIGHT OF THE CITY How high is it? It is 1,500 miles high. How high is 1,500 miles? Well, an airplane flies 5, 6, 7 miles high. Some satellites orbit at 200 miles. That is what the extent of their orbit is: 200 miles, just a little over. Outer space is 800 miles. This city is 1,500 miles. It is 800 miles to outer space. It is another 700 miles past the outer space limits, so nobody will be climbing over that wall! The people will come up to the city of Jerusalem. This is all Jesus throne of glory, and we will all live in the White House with Him, so to speak. It is all His vast complex. Now the people on the earth will come to the

11 Transcript12/7/08 Page 11 earthly dimension of the city, to the house of prayer. It is called the Jerusalem temple. I mean the worship, the singing, and the prayer He will govern the earth through intercession and proclamation, just like now. Beloved, we really do have one of the few job descriptions that has absolute job security forever. For real! Intercession and proclamation will be the cutting edge a billion years from now. It is the way the government will be run. People will come from the nations to Jerusalem. They will see this magnificent building and they will look up and that corridor of glory I think of it as a whirlwind, a funnel or a tunnel of the shekhinah glory. They will say, What is that? They may be able to see a mile or two or three or four, but it goes on for 1,500 miles. They will say, We heard the stories. Well, we got the blueprint. It is right there in the book of Revelation. People will have read it because they will have the book of Revelation. They will say, 1,500 miles, my goodness! You know, the walls are like a football field thick and there are diamonds and jewels on them, and the glory of God! Anyway, that is above the house of prayer. In the house of prayer that is where Jesus throne will be. He will be in the Jerusalem temple. The people from up above can talk to Him and also the people down here. He has both realms completely open to Him. I am talking about a governmental complex, the throne of glory. A DYNAMIC CONVERGENCE Roman numeral IV. This is what I call a dynamic convergence. Again, just a made-up term. I have listed twelve characteristics. This is really exciting. Some of you who are really new to this might say: I did not get that at all. But those of you who really like this idea of how Jesus is going to lead the earth, this is really a key paragraph or two, but I just kind of whisper it. There is a mountain on the earth in Jerusalem and there is a mountain in heaven and the mountains will converge. One has the New Jerusalem character and the other has the earthly character, but they will converge together. It is one mountain with two different dimensions. There is one Jerusalem called the New Jerusalem and there is the earthly Jerusalem two Jerusalems, but they are one. They are two dimensions of one Jerusalem. Both of them have twelve gates. The millennial city of Jerusalem, and the heavenly New Jerusalem will converge. The holy of holies is the prayer room Jesus is operating, the holy of holies the people with natural bodies will see they will see the temple but there is a temple above the holy of holies, which is connected. There will be the river of life. There is a river of life in the millennial temple and there is a river of life in the New Jerusalem and they are connected. They have different properties, but they join somehow, I do not know. WE ARE ON THE WAY TO A CITY There is a tree of life which is on the earth and a tree of life which is in the city and they converge. It goes on and on and on. I mean the possibilities of where this is going. The Holy Spirit just gloriously causes our soul to ache by whispering these little hints. I mean, there are quite a few of them. You look at them and you say, Lord I want to see it.

12 Transcript12/7/08 Page 12 I just imagine the Lord saying, Well, just keep studying it, just keep eating the scroll. I will give you a little more insight, just stay with it. The tree there and the tree down here are two different trees, but it is one reality. I like to close my eyes and just sit there in that prayer room or wherever and just think of the city. I want to be a part of it. I want to be in the government. I want to be involved in this, totally. It is as if the Lord says, It is easy. Choose meekness, choose radical obedience, do what I tell you, and I will give you everything for free after that. Oh, I am in! I am in! I am in! You know, guys come and say, Well, Mike, you really need to dial down a little bit and enjoy life. I say, Oh, trust me. I am anchored into enjoying life. I am going somewhere. I do not want to dial down. I do not want to chill out. I want to focus, because I am on my way to a city and I want to be ready for it. I am not looking for a bible verse to chill out. I am looking for one to help me get more focused and more like a laser beam in pursuit after this. I see this city just a little bit. I do not see it much, just a little bit when I put all the scenes together. I say, Oh, Lord, I do not care about the money, the honor, the this, the that and the other. I mean, you always do more than you think you do. You think you do not and then later you find out you did a little bit more than you thought. Can anybody relate to that? But I look at all this stuff, and I get anchored in these two chapters, and I am telling you! Well, brother, if you do this we will put your name out there. Oh, OK. For sure I will do it. So what? I am going to a city. I do not care where my name is between now and then. This city is the anchor for being a faithful witness, as Lou was speaking about this morning. We want to be faithful witnesses and get anchored in the city. Moses was anchored in the city Hebrews 11 Abraham was anchored in the city. Paul was anchored in it. You get a vision of this city and everything will look different. Prison will look different, opportunity will look different, money will look different. I mean we want the money, but for many different reasons. Anyway you look at these 12 characteristics. There are probably more and here is the point: there is an glorious earthly dimension related to Jerusalem under Jesus authority, and there is a supernatural heavenly dimension and they converge together, both of them. AN OPEN HEAVEN Now when the New Jerusalem comes down at the second coming a whole new situation will emerge. It will be an open heaven. Beloved, you know people talk about an open heaven and it is good that they talk about it, but

13 Transcript12/7/08 Page 13 we are talking about a permanent, literal open heaven. We are talking about looking up and there will be this corridor of glory and a city. We are talking about an open heaven over Jerusalem in the Millennium. The whole angelic realm will come to the earth as well as all the saints with resurrected bodies and there will be an open heaven. There will be a tidal wave breaking out from the temple of Jerusalem. It will be like a tidal wave of glory spreading across the earth, causing the whole earth to become like the garden of Eden over a thousand-year period. It will branch out. It will not take one day when the Lord waves His hand and the whole earth is now restored. It will be a process; people with natural bodies working with people with resurrected bodies will be working in tandem together in a dynamic partnership. We will cause the garden of Eden reality to fill the entire earth. It will go forth from Jerusalem to the whole earth. It will take a thousand years for it to be mature. Then we will have the earth prepared for the Father to come, and then the Father will cleanse the earth one more time with fire, and then He will put His throne on it. DESCENT IN TWO STAGES The New Jerusalem will descend in two stages. I just want to bring it to your attention. The New Jerusalem will descend at the time of the second coming and the New Jerusalem will descend again after the Millennium. The time of the second coming is the beginning of the Millennium. Those are synonymous. So at the beginning of the Millennium the New Jerusalem will descend but it won t land on the earth. It will be above Jerusalem and somehow connected to it. Again, the best way I can think of, is just calling it a corridor of glory. There will be a divine connectedness, because there will be a convergence of the tree of life, the river of life, the smoke, the fire, the glory, the mountain, the temple; they will all be connected in some very dynamic ways, but the New Jerusalem will not be on the earth yet. The kings will be going in and out of it. The sinners what I mean by the sinners is the people resisting Jesus they will not be able to get into the city. So this is about the city at the time of the second coming the beginning of the Millennium. And this is about a thousand years later, after the nations have been christianized and the great millennial revolt happens, when Jesus lets Satan out of prison. He will let that snake back into the garden of Eden to test everyone one more time. He does not want anybody in the permanent zone of the perfected permanent if they do not really want to be there. He is going to let the snake back into garden with the same agenda with which God let the snake into the garden the first time, to see if Adam and Eve really wanted to walk with God. So the snake will come out of prison. There will be some defilement. It will require that the earth is cleansed with fire. This very same earth will be completely renewed. THE NEW JERUSALEM WILL BECOME THE PRAYER ROOM Then the New Jerusalem will come down. This time it will not be over the millennial Jerusalem, kind of connected by this corridor of glory again that is just a made up term. The next time it will land solidly on the earth.

14 Transcript12/7/08 Page 14 This 1,500-mile city will land on the earth and then now do not make some doctrine out of this, but I just want to push you a little bit; I am not going to develop this because I do not know that much, that is why I am not going to develop it then the whole earth over time will get completely immersed in the New Jerusalem reality, the whole earth will be. The whole 8,000 miles it is 8,000 miles in diameter, right? 8,000. How many is it that way? 25,000 miles are going to be immersed in the realities of the New Jerusalem. The New Jerusalem will still just be the city. It will become the prayer room and the whole earth will be in the atmosphere of the city and then this is the part you do not make doctrine of: We look at all the universes, hundreds of millions of galaxies and the earth will become the epicenter of God s entire domain. I do not have a clue what we will do with those galaxies, but I guarantee you something is going to happen that is going to be exciting. The whole earth will then be the new city and the 1,500-mile area will be the house of prayer in the new earth for billions of years. King David said in Psalm 8 that we have dominion over the works of God in the sky. They are under us. They are ours. I thought, OK, David, what do you mean? David might have said, I do not know what I mean. The Holy Spirit came on me. I cannot for the life of me figure out what that means, but it is in the Book. Anyway we do not have to worry about that. We have so much to do between now and the second coming and we have enough information about what we are going to do for the next thousand years. We do not have to worry about what we are going to do after that, but I just wanted to push it out there a little bit. You will never be bored, I promise you that, if you walk with God. I mean for billions of years. So the city comes down twice. I want you to see that. We describe the external view of this 1,500-mile city nearly 1,500 miles and then we describe the internal view. John sees the city from the outside and it looks like the holy of holies, and then he gets to go on the inside and it looks like the garden of Eden. You can read that on your own. It is exciting. PSALM 48 This is one of my favorite passages on the New Jerusalem right here, Psalm 48. This is what Psalm 48 is about: It is about the New Jerusalem coming to the earth during the millennial kingdom. The psalmist says now think of a 1,500-mile city above the city of Jerusalem in the Millennium. This is what we are thinking. Commentators will struggle with this passage because many of them do not have a vision of this reality. The psalmist meant what he said and said what he meant. What he means is exactly what he says. He says, Great is the Lord. He is awed by the Revelation restoration program. He did not really know those details, but when we read Revelation 21-22, we say, Great is the Lord. Your plans are great. Your love is great and so is Your forethought the way You think ahead. Your plans are great. Your power is great. Your love, oh, You are great! You are great in everyway! You have thought it all through. You thought about me. You have got the power to pull it off. I love You! I love You! I love You! You are great! You are great! You are great in every way! That is how it starts.

15 Transcript12/7/08 Page 15 EXTRAVAGANT PRAISE Number two: You are greatly to be praised (v.1), which means. if you understand this psalm, it is the Revelation of the Old Testament I mean this is a Revelation Old Testament version. If you understand how great the Lord is, because of what He is doing in the rest of this psalm, He is greatly to be praised. That means the praise we offer Him is with every ounce of our strength, meaning, it is the opposite of half hearted praise. He deserves to be praised extravagantly. He deserves extravagant praise, not just skillful praise. Skillful for sure, but it should be with all of our hearts. I say, Lord I want to greatly praise You. I may not be that skillful, but I want to give the greatness of my love to You. That is what it is talking about. Greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in His holy mountain (v.1). Now it is in the holy mountain. The 1,500-mile city is part of the holy mountain, so now the mountain has a different view than just one of the mountains in Israel. There is another whole dimension going on here now. THE CITY OF THE GREAT KING Psalm 48:2: Beautiful in elevation. It just simply means the city is really tall. The Psalmist looked up and said, I do not have a clue how many miles that thing is going up, but it is beautiful! It is stunning! It is beautiful in its height, is what this is saying. It is 1,500 miles-ish. It is the joy of the whole earth (v.2). All the nations will be fascinated with this city at the time of the Millennium. It is the city of the great King (v.2). Jesus is running the temple where the oval office is and He is running all the government palaces on the earth. He is bringing them into perfect convergence with the government of heaven, because He is over both governments. He is called the great King. This is called the city of the great King. Psalm 48:3: God is in her palaces. Jesus is actually in the White House, so to speak. He is in the presidential palace which is the house of prayer. He is there. He is in it. He is known as her safety. A few guys will get some bad ideas. You know, at the very end of the Millennium some of them actually fully rebel some guys with some bad attitudes. Not that many will really prevail, the thing will be so safe. He is known as her refuge (v.3). Nobody will be threatening the city. THE KINGS WILL MARVEL Now look at Psalm 48:4, I love Psalm 48:4-5. This is so cool. The new king, you know, some young guy because in those days you will live four or five hundred years a new 300-year-old king, will say, Man I heard about the city. Well, have you gone into it as a king? No, no. Not yet, but I have heard about it. The other king who went in told me that it is intense. OK, it will be your first time?

16 Transcript12/7/08 Page 16 Yes, I am ready. So the kings assemble to go into the governmental complex. They pass by the city together. The guys who have been there a few times they are still absolutely on overload, but they are at least a little bit prepared. They marvel. When these new guys see the city, they will say, I had no idea. We get to go in there? Will you have the ability to do your business with your spirit trembling? They others will say, Oh, the Lord will calm you, but it is a little strange the first couple times you go into that palace for the united nations meetings. THEY WILL BE TROUBLED AND RUN AWAY They marvel, but, number two, they are troubled. I think of John on the island of Patmos Revelation 1. When he saw the Jesus he is so in love with, he fell like a dead man. They are troubled. Their spirit is shaken. They are saying, This is too much. I know I am a king. I know I am the main prayer guy in my nation because the leaders of the nations will be the most spiritual men and women but this is too much. Then they break down and they run away. They run away. You know, the experienced kings say, Yes, the first couple of years it is like that, it just really is. They are so awed by this city that fear takes hold of them. It is the fear John felt in Revelation 1:17. Here is what they say, As we have heard, so now we see it with our own eyes in the city of our God (v.8, paraphrased). This king will say, I have heard these reports. I had no idea what it would be like to go there. This is the millennial city of Jerusalem. This city will be there forever. Even after God cleanses the earth with fire, that city will be there forever, that palace will be, and it will govern the whole universe. In Psalm 50:2-3 the Psalmist talks about this again. It is about the New Jerusalem. It is about Revelation Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty we are talking about the New Jerusalem God will shine forth. Our God will come a fire shall devout before Him, etcetera, etcetera, read all of it. PRAY FOR JERUSALEM Read Isaiah 62. We are praying that Jerusalem will be a praise in the earth, but beloved, we are not just praying for a revival for Jerusalem which we are for sure. We are praying for Jerusalem to be a praise in the earth, meaning, that the kings from Psalm 48 will marvel when they say the word Jerusalem. That is why it said earlier in Jeremiah 3:17 that the whole city will be called the Throne of the Lord. The entire city will be engulfed in this throne complex. When Jesus said, Pray until Jerusalem is a praise in the earth, it does not only mean, Pray until a spirit of revival hits the city of Jerusalem. It means, Pray until the New Jerusalem comes down and all the nations are trembling just to lay their eyes on that city.
