Rabbi Steven Burg is the Director- General of Aish HaTorah Jerusalem. Following his Ordination, Rabbi Burg worked for the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America (OU) for 22 years. Rabbi Burg founded the Jewish Student Union (JSU), a network of hundreds of public high school clubs that teach unaffiliated Jewish teens about their heritage. He started the Anne Samson Jerusalem Journey (TJJ) an Israel experience for unaffiliated Jewish teens. In 2009, Jamie founded a Jewish Social Justice organisation, called Justifi, which gives Jews the chance to travel to Thailand, Peru, Nicaragua and South Africa on life- transforming trips where they experience the

3 struggle for basic human rights, idealism, leadership and the Jewish approach to Tikun Olam, fixing the world. Mrs. Ilana Cowland, originally from London, England received a BA in Jewish Studies from the University of London, as well as a diploma in counseling. Having spent 9 years working as a rebbetzin in the London Aish HaTorah community, she and her family moved to Jerusalem in 2005 where she has since been involved in teaching and education administration. Mrs. Cowland is an internationally sought after lecturer and educator, with a specialty in the topics of relationships and women's issues.
