4 Executive Summary Question There is clear support for Rabbi Poupko. Of the 78 people (including the paper surveys) who took the survey, (% of those who answered this question or.7% of Total Respondents) choose, Negotiate a short term agreement with Rabbi Poupko to promote him to become C.A.T. s next Senior Rabbi and immediately commence a search for the position of an Associate or Assistant Rabbi. In contrast, (.9% of people who answered this question or.7% of Total Respondents) choose, Launch a formal search process for Senior Rabbi that would include Rabbi Poupko as a candidate but would also establish a search committee to interview and invite additional candidates for Senior Rabbi as well as a search for the position of an Associate or Assistant Rabbi or. It could be understood that those who answered in favor of a search are not necessarily opposed to Rabbi Poupko, only that they believe a search is in the best interests of the congregation. Something that may be of interest is that of the people who indicate a desire for a search (), of them or 0% are over 0. This is logical as.% ( people) who completed the survey are over 0 as well. Interestingly, of the people from the 8: Straus Sanctuary (Main) who choose, 7 or.% were over age 0. In general, 9.7% of those who choose were from the 8: Straus Sanctuary (Main) Overall the numbers indicated strong support for. is in the minority among almost every demographic within the congregation with an approximate / split. Please see the graphs on the following pages. However, two demographics are of interest as they were exceptions to this trend. The respondents who gave their age as below were evenly split (0 to ) between Option s A and B. This was striking as in the other (much more numerous) age groups, garnered on average 7% of respondents. Another close split that can be observed is in Question 0 regarding frequency of Minyan attendance. Those who selected, Once or Twice a week, as their frequency of attendance were also closely split 0 vs. (% for vs. 8% for ). This stood out as in the other (also much more numerous) attendance options, garnered on average 70% of respondents. While these are small numbers, they may indicate areas where Rabbi Poupko s presence may not be as strongly felt.
