Below is a list of some of the things God made. Write each of them beside the day on which it was created. Day Day Day 3 Day 4 Day 5 Day animals seas sun trees fish birds (fowl) moon day land night stars man sky or heaven (v. 8) There are some words which are repeated over and over again in Genesis. This shows that they must be important. Read the chapter carefully and write two of the phrases or statements which are repeated constantly. Bibletime 4
Lesson This first chapter in the Bible is very important because:. God only had to speak and at His command, the world and all life came into being. This is because God is all-powerful.. Everything He made was perfect and God saw that it was good. 3. God took only six days to create everything. 4. All life forms can only reproduce their own kind. The words of Genesis oppose many theories and ideas that have been thought up to explain where the world and life came from. Each form of life was created individually by God. CROSSWORD Clues Down. And God said, Let the land produce trees which produce. (v. ) 5. Clues Across 3. This was in every creature that God made. (v. 30) 4. the of God moved or hovered over the waters. (v. ). God them. (v. 8) 3. Something which God created. (v. 3) 5. And God said, Let the birds (fowl) fly above the. (v. 0) The climax of creation came when God created man. Unscramble these words to complete what God said: SIHF AMGIE RIDBS NEKSESLI God said, Let us make man in our own and after our and let them rule over the of the sea, the of the air, and other livestock, and all creatures that move along the ground. Many people think that the first few chapters in Genesis are the only place in the Bible where we can read about the creation of the world. This is not true. There are many other passages, both in the Old Testament and the New Testament which explain creation. (Look at Suggested Further Reading.) Have a look at our Key Verses. In the second verse, God claims that He is the one and only God. Write down the words that He uses in making this claim. For teacher s remarks 0
Lesson Lesson No. Creation - Completed Read Genesis : 7-3 : -9 Suggested Further Reading Exodus 0: 8- Psalm 03: 4 Colossians : Key Verses John : -3 Please put your name here The first book of the Bible, as we have seen, is called Genesis, which means Beginnings. This is a very suitable name because, in the first chapter, we have read about the first day, the first life, the first man, and God s first words to the man whom He had made. Clues Down. God created and female.. God rested on the day. 4. God made the trees to produce this. (v. 9) CROSSWORD 3 Clues Across 3. God man in His own image. 5. The opposite of morning.. The day when creation was completed. 4 5 So God was the sole Creator of the earth. No other power source was involved, and because of that everything was PERFECT and it was completely FINISHED! Which verse tells us that God set apart, or made holy, the seventh day? Verse Why did He do that? Write out the first part of the commandment given to Moses by God, which reminds us of the importance God placed on the seventh day. (See Exodus 0: 8.)
Lesson The remainder of the Bible Reading (Chapter : -9) gives us further details of God s creation. Z T B K V W J L G A R D E N Q D L V E E N R N E I T A Q E E L T O S T I D S L N S U H E R M I A ODEMROF L P T D N D H E P WORD SEARCH Write the answers to the following questions AND then circle them in the word search. They are hidden up, down, forwards, backwards or diagonally.. The Lord God created or man.. He made man from the of the ground. 3 & 4. He into his nostrils the breath of. 5 &. The Lord God a. (v. 8) 7. It was on the east in. 8. Here He made all kinds of to grow out of the ground. 4 What two special trees are mentioned in verse 9?.. Look at the Key Verses and notice that John s Gospel begins in a similar way to Genesis chapter. Here it is explained that the Word of God, who is the Son of God, was the Creator. Fit these words into the blank spaces to show what the Key Verses are saying: God Word made nothing beginning God made beginning In the was the Word, and the was with, and the Word was. He was with God in the. Through Him all things were, without Him was made that has been. This is a further reminder of the greatness of creation. God, the Son, made everything. We should frequently stop and praise God when we see the wonders of creation in the flowers, animals and landscapes of our beautiful world. How sad it is that we, in many different ways, have ruined the perfect creation of God. 4 For teacher s remarks 0
Lesson No. 3 Creation - The Coming of Sin Suggested Further Reading Romans 5: -4, 8 & 9 Timothy : 3 & 4 James : 4 & 5 Read Key Verses Lesson 3 Genesis : 5-9 3: -7 Romans 3: 3 : 3 Please put your name here This study will enable us to understand what happened after the creation of human beings. Genesis : 5 states two tasks which the Lord God gave Adam in the Garden of Eden. What are they?.. Answer TRUE or FALSE to the following:- God said Adam could eat the fruit of every single tree in the garden. God said that to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil would result in death. God allowed Adam to give names to all the birds and animals. God said Adam would be better living in the Garden of Eden alone. WORD GRID Write the missing words in the following statements on the Word Grid. 7. The woman replied that they could eat of the fruit of the.. The creature that approached the woman (Eve) was more crafty than any other which the Lord God had. 3. Adam and Eve were in the of Eden. 4. Their eyes were and they 3 knew they were naked. 5. They sewed fig together Adam was Eve s. 7. Both the man and the woman had been to the command of God. 7 Look along the Word Grid to see what creature it was which tempted the woman to disobey.
Lesson 3 The serpent was the devil (sometimes called Satan) in disguise. UNDERLINE the two statements which best describe what Satan did to the first man and woman. He blessed them. He deceived them. He helped them. He lied to them. Look up John 8: 44 and write IN YOUR OWN WORDS how the Lord Jesus describes Satan. We are no different from the first man and woman, because we disobey God s commands and go our own way, just as they did. Write out the first Key Verse and UNDERLINE the words which God uses to describe the effect of the sins which we all have committed. Check the definition which BEST describes what sin is. Sin is anything people do which could lead to them being put in prison. Sin is the wrong which people did in Bible days. Sin is disobeying God and falling short of His perfect standard. Sin is the small mistakes we make in our lives. Write out the second Key Verse and think carefully about what it says. CIRCLE the word which tells us of the punishment that must be faced for sin. It reminds us of God s punishment which we must all face for our sin. We must choose to have either the wages or the gift. Which will you have? For teacher s remarks 0
Lesson No. 4 Creation - The Results of Sin Suggested Further Reading Ecclesiastes : Romans 5: -3 Read Key Verses Genesis 3: 7-4 Lesson 4 Corinthians 5: Romans : 3 Please put your name here Sin will always be punished, and the first sin of Adam and Eve was not an exception. Then the eyes of both of them were opened. (Verse 7) This does not mean that they had been going around with their eyes shut! God explains in verse how they can now see something which they could not see before. In verse, what does God say they now know? How did Adam and Eve react when their eyes were opened? (Verse 7) What did they do when they heard the sound of the Lord God as He walked in the garden? What was the first question God asked Adam? God did not ask the question because He did not know the answer. God wanted them to own up to what they had done. However, they only half owned up because neither of them wanted to take responsibility for what they had done. Whom did Adam blame? Whom did Eve blame? Sometimes we are a bit like Adam and Eve, trying to shift the blame for our sins on to someone else. They could not fool God! He pronounced judgment on both Adam and Eve, and also on the serpent because of what they had done.
Lesson 4 Find words, from verses 3 and 4, that fit the blank spaces in the sentences below. So the Lord him from the Garden of Eden to the ground from which he had been taken. After He drove the man out, He placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden and a flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of. The Key Verses explain how Adam and Eve s sin still affects us today. What happens to all who are in Adam? ( Corinthians 5: ) In the same verse, what happens to all who are in Christ? 7 Being in Adam or Christ means being identified with Adam or Christ. In Romans : 3, what is death described as being? What is eternal life described as being? Who is the only Person through whom we can have eternal life? These studies show that we have all sinned like Adam and Eve. They had to take their own punishment. The Lord Jesus died on the cross to take our punishment. Now we have to accept Him as our Saviour, to be forgiven! Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.
