7 Three main section 19 benedictions Three main sections The first three blessings as a section are known as the shevach ("praise"), and serve to inspire the worshipper and invoke God's mercy The middle thirteen blessings compose the bakashah ("request"), with six personal requests, six communal requests, and a final request that God accept the prayers. Helper / Shield / Redeemer of Avraham Name of Messiah The Lord Himself Through the Messiah Three times a day We proclaim He is King Come in the merit of Avot (Fathers) With expectation of Messiah Who is to come We are coming in and looking for a Redeemer to come only through the merit of Avraham Avinu (our father) This Redeemer will bring us back into a personal relationship with the Mighty One of Israel 10

11 Galatians 3:7-9 Be assured, then, that it is those who live by trusting and being faithful who are really children of Avraham. Also, the Tanakh, foreseeing that God would consider the Gentiles righteous when they live by trusting and being faithful, told the Good News to Avraham in advance by saying, "In connection with you, all the Goyim will be blessed." So then, those who rely on trusting and being faithful are blessed along with Avraham, who trusted and was faithful. The Nishmat Prayer Believed to have been penned by Shim on Kefa One of the most eloquent prayers of gratitude Begins with the Hebrew phrase Nishmat kol chai ( Soul of every living being... ) In the Mishnah The Blessing of the Song to be recited at the Passover Seder May very well be more than 2,000 years old 11
