2 King of the Jungle? I heard a cute story the other day It takes place in a jungle. Apparently, a Lion with a really big ego went around asking all of the other animals who they thought was the King of the Jungle?

3 King of the Jungle? He asked a monkey a zebra and a turtle.

4 King of the Jungle? The elephant simply grabbed lion by his tail, and spun him around over his head several times like a rag doll, slamming his body into a large tree, watching as his carcass slid down the tree trunk until it came to rest in a large mud hole.

5 King of the Jungle? The Lion sheepishly looked up at the glaring elephant and said, Just because you didn t know the correct answer is no reason to get upset.

6 Who s On First? Brothers and sisters, not everyone in our world and America recognizes Who s on First? Not everyone recognizes who the true King of the Jungle is! Not everyone will admit, that Jesus is our Creator, our Sustainer, our Savior,our Lord and King. But He is!

7 Too Many Kings! There have been men who thought they were the king: - An ex-heavyweight boxing champ. - A man, born in Tupelo, MS. - Henry the 8 th, King of Siam, King Arthur of Round Table (Pizza), and of course the Burger King.

8 Rev. 19:11-16 I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and makes war. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God.

9 Rev. 19:11-16 The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. Out of his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. "He will rule them with an iron scepter." He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty.

10 Rev. 19:11-16 On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.

11 Jesus: Our King All hail the power of Jesus name! Let angels prostrate fall; Bring forth the royal diadem, And crown Him Lord of all!

12 Jesus: Our King 1- He is the Image of the Invisible God. 2- He is the Creator/Sustainer of all things. 3 - He is the Head of the body, the church. (vrs a) He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell.

13 Jesus: Our King Jesus qualifies as King, not by His Lion s roar, but by his Lamb-like willingness to surrender His own life s blood, as a sacrifice for the sins of the world.

14 Mat 26:26b-29 Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. I tell you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it anew with you in my Father's kingdom.

15 When I see the blood This supper began over 1400 years earlier, when God had literally commanded that a lamb be slaughtered, and that its blood be painted on every doorpost of every home that sought God s deliverance.

16 Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world! (Jn. 1:29).

17 Heb. 9:11-13 But when Christ appeared as a High Priest of the good things to come, He entered through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation; and not through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood,

18 Heb. 9:11-13 He entered the Holy place once for all having obtained eternal redemption. For if the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling those who have been defiled sanctify for the cleansing of the flesh, how much more will the blood of Christ,

19 Heb. 9:11-13 who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? For this reason He is the mediator of a New Covenant, so that, since a death has taken place for the redemption of the transgressions

20 Heb. 9:11-13 that were committed under the first covenant, Those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.

21 Our Sacrifice Jesus HIMSELF became our sacrificial lamb, laying himself (figuratively speaking) upon the altar of God and giving His own life as an offering unto God for your sins and mine. 1 Pet. 2:24 By his wounds you have been healed.

22 Heb. 9:13-14 The blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkled on those who are ceremonially unclean sanctify them so that they are outwardly clean

23 Cleansing Agent Blood, literally cleans out the filth from your body. That is one of its major responsibilities No other cleansing agent known to man that can rid your soul of its filth and shame than the Blood of Jesus.

24 Reasons for Blood 1st = Life is in the blood. (Lev. 17:11) Choose life in order that you may live. (Deut. 30:19) Take hold of that which is life indeed. (1 Tim. 6:19) (also see Acts 17:28)

25 Reasons for Blood 2ndly = because it indicates the great separation price associated with sin. Sin separates us from God - as death separates us from life. God meant for his people to know JUST HOW TERRIBLE that SEPARATION is.

26 Reasons for Blood 3rdly = He wanted us to know that He cares for us, and that His love is so great that He would literally die for us, in HIM. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Rom. 5:8)
