I want to start this message by saying to you, that for every promise, for every prophecy, & for every dream THERE IS A SET TIME.

1 1 2 A Set Time 2 Kings 7: Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the LORD; Thus saith the LORD, To morrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria. 2 Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof. 3 And there were four leprous men at the entering in of the gate: and they said one to another, Why sit we here until we die? 4 If we say, We will enter into the city, then the famine is in the city, and we shall die there: and if we sit still here, we die also. Now therefore come, and let us fall unto the host of the Syrians: if they save us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall but die. 5 And they rose up in the twilight, to go unto the camp of the Syrians: and when they were come to the uttermost part of the camp of Syria, behold, there was no man there. 6 For the Lord had made the host of the Syrians to hear a noise of chariots, and a noise of horses, even the noise of a great host: and they said one to another, Lo, the king of Israel hath hired against us the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of the Egyptians, to come upon us. 7 Wherefore they arose and fled in the twilight, and left their tents, and their horses, and their asses, even the camp as it was, and fled for their life. 8 And when these lepers came to the uttermost part of the camp, they went into one tent, and did eat and drink, and carried thence silver, and gold, and raiment, and went and hid it; and came again, and entered into another tent, and carried thence also, and went and hid it. 9 Then they said one to another, We do not well: this day is a day of good tidings, and we hold our peace: if we tarry till the morning light, some mischief will come upon us: now therefore come, that we may go and tell the king's household. 10 So they came and called unto the porter of the city: and they told them, saying, We came to the camp of the Syrians, and, behold, there was no man there, neither voice of man, but horses tied, and asses tied, and the tents as they were. 11 And he called the porters; and they told it to the king's house within. 12 And the king arose in the night, and said unto his servants, I will now shew you what the Syrians have done to us. They know that we be hungry; therefore are they gone out of the camp to hide themselves in the field, saying, When they come out of the city, we shall catch them alive, and get into the city. 13 And one of his servants answered and said, Let some take, I pray thee, five of the horses that remain, which are left in the

2 3 4 city, (behold, they are as all the multitude of Israel that are left in it: behold, I say, they are even as all the multitude of the Israelites that are consumed:) and let us send and see. 14 They took therefore two chariot horses; and the king sent after the host of the Syrians, saying, Go and see. 15 And they went after them unto Jordan: and, lo, all the way was full of garments and vessels, which the Syrians had cast away in their haste. And the messengers returned, and told the king. 16 And the people went out, and spoiled the tents of the Syrians. So a measure of fine flour was sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, according to the word of the LORD. 17 And the king appointed the lord on whose hand he leaned to have the charge of the gate: and the people trode upon him in the gate, and he died, as the man of God had said, who spake when the king came down to him. 18 And it came to pass as the man of God had spoken to the king, saying, Two measures of barley for a shekel, and a measure of fine flour for a shekel, shall be to morrow about this time in the gate of Samaria: INTRO: Our Bible text tells us of a famine in Samaria & in this famine condition the man of God speaks a word of promise that has a set time attached to it (Tomorrow about this time) I want to start this message by saying to you, that for every promise, for every prophecy, & for every dream THERE IS A SET TIME. That is to say that there is an appointed time for that word or that promise or that dream to be manifested. It is no different than the natural: When a seed is sown, there is a process that the seed goes through before there can be a harvest. But as surely as the seed is planted, if it is kept in the ground & properly cared for there will be a due season & harvest will come.

3 5 This is one of the most difficult lessons to learn as a believer. HOW TO WAIT ON GOD, We get a prophecy & we think it should happen the next day, & when it doesn t happen in a week we get concerned, three months we get really concerned, a year & we get worried, 5 years and we think God forgot all about us, or it was just wishful thinking. I m here to tell you today that this is part of the process. Every dream, every seed, every promise must go through this process. Ps 105:19 Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him. Psalm 105:19 (TLB) 19 until God s time finally came how God tested his patience! Psalm 105:19 (BBE) 19 Till the time when his word came true; he was tested by the word of the Lord. 6 This tells us that when Joseph received His Word/Dream that word from God tested him, In other words, he was tested by time to see if he would hold to that word (dream) or if he would forsake it. Time is the great Tester through which all of our dreams must pass. You see time tests our faith, it challenges us to prove whether we believe God or not. It is crucial to see what we do during our waiting season. THERE IS A SET TIME FOR YOUR WORD, YOUR DREAM, YOUR PROMISE TO COME TO PASS GOD HAS ESTABLISHED A TIME FOR THAT WORD TO BE MANIFESTED. Just as Hannah carried the Prophet Samuel In her womb for 9 months before there was a birth You & I must also carry the Word of the Lord, the Dream in Our Spiritual Womb UNTIL DUE SEASON.

4 7 8 You see there are a lot of people that are wanting a birth, but THEY HAVEN T GOT PREGNANT YET. st You have to 1 GET PREGNANT W/THE PROMISE. You notice that as she gets closer to due date she becomes uncomfortable, She doesn t fit in the clothes she used to wear, she doesn t sit the way she used to sit. You can have a Word for a long time before you get pregnant. Hey you don t get pregnant just by hearing the word one time, that word has to get down into your spirit, it has to affect the way you think, the way you talk, the way you walk. It has to affect the decisions you make When a woman gets pregnant, changes start taking place, She thinks pregnant, She talks pregnant, & in a little while she walks pregnant. The way she looks, tells you she s expecting, And once she gets pregnant, there is a due date for manifestation or here promise When you are really pregnant w/the promise, you start OUT GROWING some things You are not satisfied w/business as usual there is a divine discontent & divine a dissatisfaction that begins to grow in you. You have an expectation of something greater, & that expectation of something greater is making YOU UNCOMFORTABLE Where You are Hey pregnant woman has a tendency to experience extreme mood swings, - burst out crying -That is true spiritually too, when you are near delivery or manifestation there are strong emotions that begin to stir in your spirit. It may be crying one minute, & shouting the next,

5 9 10 Just as in the natural there is a struggle before the birth, so it is in the spiritual There is usually A great warfare just before manifestation) - We need to realize that just before manifestation satin will do everything he can to get you to cast away your confidence & GET YOU TO ABORT YOUR PROMISE. GOD GAVE A WORD OF PROMISE CONCERNING A TURN AROUND, GOD ESTABLISHED A SET TIME & SAID (tomorrow about this time where there has been famine there will be plenty, where there has been lack there will be abundance). When everything look wrong When every natural evidence disputes the Word of God, & all visible circumstantial evidence looked as if it was getting worse instead of better. All of a sudden the report came from 4 lepers outside the city gate, that there was food in abundance, & in an instant the famine was broken & the word of God was manifested AT THE SET TIME According to the Word of the Prophet. But what I want you to see is that while everything inside the city was getting worse, & every natural evidence was disputing & defying the word of God. I AM HERE TO TELL SOMEONE THAT YOU HAVE A SET TIME Outside the city gate God was working. He inspired 4 lepers to get up from where they were & go to the syrian camp

6 11 12 As they walked God caused the syrian army to hear a sound as a great army marching & they fled in fear leaving an abundant supply of food & other things behind them. They have come to due season, but everything looks worse than ever, & many begin to believe what they see hear & feel in the natural & they abort the promise of God. The point I am making is: Just before your breakthrough you are likely to experience the greatest contradiction to your promise. I AM HERE TO TELL SOMEONE THAT YOU HAVE A SET TIME This is where like the Pregnant woman in labor, It is time to push. It is time to praise like you have never praised, it s time to bless the Lord, It s time to pray like you have never prayed, & confess the promise, & stand on the word, & declare the faithfulness of God. Listen to how the bible says it: Gal 6:9 let us not be weary in well doing, for in due season we shall reap (if) we faint not. That word faint means: to loosen, dissolve, to crack, to break down, What this word is saying is; You can actually come to your set time, be in your due season for manifestation & because you faint =, Crack, Dissolve, Loosen, Break down (You Can Abort Your Promise). This is a most critical time, because it is during this time that many abort their promise.

7 13 st This is what happened to the 1 generation of Israel (they came to the border of their inheritance, the promise land) They had come to due season. But instead of pushing through to the birth of their promise They aborted it. I came with a word to encourage you: If it seems that all hell is broken loose against you, you ought to praise the Lord, Because That Is the Evidence That You Are on the Verge of Manifestation, (You are in your due season) your set time is come, & this is no time for fainting (THIS IS TIME FOR PUSHING) I AM HERE TO TELL SOMEONE THAT YOU HAVE A SET TIME PUSH THROUGH TILL YOU BREAK THROUGH.
