1 CHILDREN'S SAMPLE DRILL Red Cycle New International Version This SAMPLE Drill has been prepared to: - assist leaders in seeing how a drill is conducted - guide leaders in preparing drills for practice - use with children in practice sessions Please Note: All the material to be learned by the Children is not included in this Sample Drill. Refer to the Red Cycle Children's Bible Drill Verse Card for a complete listing of material to be learned. Guidelines for using Sample Drill: 1. Become familiar with the rules for Children's Bible Drill in the Bible Skills, Drills & Thrills Leader Guide. This will provide a better understanding for the way the drill is conducted. 2. Enlist someone to assist when calling a drill to catch mistakes the children make. It can be difficult for a conductor to spot them. 3. Note the "Extra Calls" in each drill section. These can be used to vary the drill, or they may be used when the conductor makes a mistake in conducting. 4. Practice with no more than 12 participants per drill. A larger number than this makes it difficult to properly assist each child in correcting his mistakes. 5. Have the conductor stand about feet in front of the participants. This allows better visibility and encourages the children to speak out. 6. Material in BOLD FACE is read aloud by the conductor. Lightface type is the response given by the participant. 7. Call on different children. Don't go down the line as this will tend to make them over-anxious or nervous since they would know when they will be called upon to respond. Neither should you always call upon the first child who steps out.

Place your index finger on any verse in the book named and step forward.
