2 Itinerary - May 13-20, 2019 DAY 1: Monday, May 13 Group Arrivals early afternoon in the Athens Airport. Bus to venue where we will hear an introduction to Greece Tour by Dovid Katz. Continue on a panoramic city tour where you will be able to see Constitution Stygmata Square, the House of Parliament and the Memorial to the Unknown Soldier, and where we will see the changing of Presidential Guards. We ll take a stop at the Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games of the of modern times were held, and end at the beautiful coastal southern end of Athens for a panoramic view of the Gulf and stunning sunset! End the day in the Jewish Quarter, dinner and then check into the hotel Stayover in Athens DAY 2: Tuesday, May 14 Tour the Acropolis, temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian s Arch. Our group will continue our fascinating tour of these ancient sites at the beautiful and newly renovated Acropolis Museum. We ll later go to see the famous Corinth canal, then on to one of the most enchanting towns of the Peloponnese islands Napflion and see this beautiful and charming authentic Greek town, stop for shopping, and back to Athens for dinner. 3 Itinerary - May 13-20, 2019 DAY 3: Wednesday, May 15 Shacharis, followed by breakfast in the hotel. Prompt departure from hotel to the Athens Airport. Flight to the Island of Rhodes. Tour of the Jewish Quarter and the oldest shul in Greece. Tour Historical spots. Afternoon take a twohour boat ride along Rhodes beautiful coast, followed by dinner. Evening Flight back to Athens Stayover in Athens DAY 4: Thursday, May 16 Shacharis, followed by breakfast in the hotel. Early check out from hotel. Drive towards northern Greece. Stop at one of Greece s famous sites Delphi and tour the famous ancient ruins and museum. Reach the historical Thermopylae pass where an ancient battle took place. Late afternoon, we will see the Kahal Kadosh Yevanim, Romaniote Shul in Trikala with a guided visit of the old synagogue. Travel to Thessaloniki. Check into the hotel in Thessaloniki. Dinner followed by Maariv Stayover in Thessaloniki Day 5: Friday, May 17 Shacharis, followed by Breakfast. Visit the White Tower and the archeological museum. Drive through the fairgrounds, see the Arch of Galerius, the Rotunda monuments and the Citadel. Walk along the city walls and visit the old train station and the fateful place where the Jews were deported from in WWII. Continue to the east part of the city which once was an affluent Jewish neighborhood. Stop at the Jewish museum followed by a walking tour of the Jewish Thessaloniki including the last standing beautiful pre war synagogue. Visit the memorial of the ancient Jewish Cemetery destroyed by the Nazis located at the Aristotle University. End the tour at the Holocaust memorial in the Eleftherias square. Free time in town. Drive to Veria, walking tour of the Jewish Quarter and visit the ancient Synagogue. Continue to Vergina where we will tour the site of the Royal Tombs which is a UNESCO world cultural heritage site of the Ancient Aigai situated in the foothills of Mt. Pieria, which was the first capital of ancient kingdom of Macedonia. We will tour the underground archeological museum with the tombs of Alexander the Great s father and son. We will visit the Jewish Quarter of this ancient and the most beautiful and only surviving synagogues in the area, where the last living community members still observe ancient minhagim. Mincha in the synagogue. Late afternoon drive back to the hotel. JEWISH LEGACY TOURS is not responsible for any lost luggage incurred by the airlines or redeeming any lost luggage. Should the airline lose any participant s luggage during the course of said tour, individual participants will be responsible for filing a claim with the airlines. 5. MANDATORY MEDICAL/TRAVEL INSURANCE: Jewish Legacy Tours requires that every tour participant must carry Medical/Travel Insurance which covers the participant during the entire said tour. This insurance is not included in the costs. Every participant must sign a Medical/Travel Insurance Waiver and Disclaimer form before departing on the tour. 6.VISAS: Any visas that might be required for all countries of said tour will be the sole expense and responsibility of the participant. 7. JEWISH LEGACY TOURS reserves the right to cancel participation of any participant for reasons of disciplinary action, security needs, or medically related problems. The participant will return to his place of origin, at his own expense. 8. PHOTOGRAPHY/ VIDEOGRAPHY/MEDIA: Jewish Legacy Tours reserves the right to use photographs or videos taken by its representatives during the course of said tour without compensation to the participant, which includes but not limited to all, partial, enhanced, or edited photographs, videos, voice recordings, shiurim, speeches, and/or likeness of a participant to be used in any of Jewish Legacy Tours promotional material in all media formats, whether existing or not yet existing formats. Jewish Legacy Tours and its employees, agents or photographers will be released from any and all liabilities or violations of any privacy or property rights herein. 9. CHANGES IN SCHEDULES/FEES: Jewish Legacy Tours is not responsible for any and all last minute changes, cancellations, and/or rerouting of flights imposed by the airlines, hotels, time changes in venues, logistics, or other transportation schedules, and reserves the right to cancel, alter, or change any aspect of the tour, as deemed necessary, without prior notification to the participant, this includes the quoted fees in the event that air and/or land fees change. 10. Reimbursements due to medically related cancellations are at the discretion of the participants insurance carrier. We highly recommend participants purchase their own additional cancel for any reason upgraded Travel Insurance, at their own expense, to cover cancellation of flights, tour payments, lost or damaged luggage. Cancellation/Refund Policy: Cancellations, for any reason, whether due to medical and/or hospitalizations, or non medical, must be sent by to Nesivos/Jewish Legacy Tours.
