And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left. And the Egyptians pursued, and went in after them to the midst of the sea, even all Pharaoh's horses, his chariots, and his horsemen. And the waters returned, and covered the chariots, and the horsemen, and all the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them; there remained not so much as one of them. Thus the LORD saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians; Ps 10: The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed. II Kings : 12 the king the king of Syria warred against Israel, and took counsel with his servants, saying, In such and such a place shall be my camp. And the man of God sent unto the king of Israel, saying, Beware that thou pass not such a place; for thither the Syrians are come down. And the king of Israel sent to the place which the man of God told him and warned him of, and saved himself there, not once nor twice. Therefore the heart of the king of Syria was sore troubled for this thing; and he called his servants, and said unto them, Will ye not shew me which of us is for the king of Israel? And one of his servants said, None, my lord, O king: but Elisha, the prophet that is in Israel, telleth the king of Israel the words that thou speakest in thy bedchamber. II Kings :1 17 Behold Behold, he is in Dothan. Therefore sent he thither horses, and chariots, and a great host: and they came by night, and compassed the city about. And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do? And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. II Kings :2 So 2...So the bands of Syria came no more into the land of Israel. 2/7

3 SH :1 Be firm in your understanding that the divine Mind governs, and that in Science man reflects God's government. SH 5:1 1 As the children of Israel were guided triumphantly through the Red Sea, the dark ebbing and flowing tides of human fear, as they were led through the wilderness, walking wearily through the great desert of human hopes, and anticipating the promised joy, so shall the spiritual idea guide all right desires in their passage from sense to Soul, from a material sense of existence to the spiritual, up to the glory prepared for them who love God. Spiritual guidance SH 41: 12 The various contradictions of the Science of Mind by the material senses do not change the unseen Truth, which remains forever 12 intact. SH 2:, 1 What is termed material sense can report only a mortal temporary sense of things, whereas spiritual sense can bear witness only to Truth. To material sense, the unreal is the real until this sense is corrected 12 by Christian Science. Spiritual sense, contradicting the material senses, involves intuition, hope, faith, understanding, fruition, reality. Truth s witness SH 20:1 2 Spiritual sense is a conscious, constant capacity to understand God. SH 207:2 1 The spiritual fact, repeated in the action of man and the whole universe, is harmonious and is the ideal of Truth. 0 Spiritual facts are not inverted; the opposite discord, which bears no resemblance to spirituality, is not real. SH 24:1 As mortals gain more correct views of God and man, multitudinous objects of creation, which before were /7

SH 572:1 (to ;) In Revelation xxi. 1 we read: And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; SH 57: The Revelator was on our plane of existence, while yet beholding what the eye cannot see, that which is invisible to the uninspired thought. This testimony of Holy Writ sustains the fact in Science, that the heavens and earth to one human consciousness, that consciousness which God bestows, are spiritual, while to another, the unillumined human mind, the vision is material. This shows unmistakably that what the human mind terms matter and spirit indicates states and stages of consciousness. SH 547:2 0 Inspired thought relinquishes a material, sensual, and mortal theory of the universe, and adopts the spiritual and immortal. 0 SH 0:25 Undisturbed amid the jarring testimony of the material senses, Science, still enthroned, is unfolding 27 to mortals the immutable, harmonious, divine Principle, is unfolding Life and the universe, ever present and eternal. SH :2 4 The confidence inspired by Science lies in the fact that Truth is real and error is unreal. Real and counterfeit SH 427:2 25 Immortal Mind, 24 governing all, must be acknowledged as supreme in the physical realm, so-called, as well as in the spiritual. 5 SH 1:2 0 It is man's moral right to annul an unjust sentence, a sentence never inflicted by divine authority. 0 SH 2:4 Mind is the source of all movement, and there is no inertia to retard or check its perpetual and harmonious action. SH 240: 17 The The rotations and revolutions of the universe of Mind go on eternally. SH 7:22 24 The The divine Mind includes all action and volition, and man in Science is governed by this Mind. 24 SH 5:22 All that God imparts moves in accord with Him, reflecting goodness and power. 24 SH 24:1 5 1 Man is not a pendulum, swinging between evil and good, joy and sorrow, sickness and health, life and death. Life and its faculties are not measured by calendars. Man reflects God SH 420:2 There is no metastasis, no stoppage of harmonious action, no paralysis. SH 25: The universe is filled with spiritual ideas, which He evolves, and they are obedient to the Mind that makes them. SH 412:1 The power of Christian Science and divine Love is omnipotent. 6 clasp the hold and to destroy disease, sin, and death. SH 2:20 Working and praying with true motives, your Father will open the way. SH 454:22 2 Wait patiently for divine Love to move upon the waters of mortal mind, and form the perfect concept. SH 7:22 25 It requires courage to utter truth; for the higher Truth 24 lifts her voice, the louder will error scream, until its inarticulate sound is forever silenced in oblivion. SH 542:1 Let Truth uncover and destroy error in God's own way, and let human justice pattern the divine. Retribution and remorse SH 2:2 5 There is too much animal courage in society and not 1 sufficient moral courage. Christians must take up arms against error at home and abroad. They must grapple with sin in themselves and in others, and continue this warfare until they have finished their course. Christian warfare SH 4:1 It is self-evident that we are harmonious only as we cease to manifest evil or the belief that we suffer from the sins of others. SH 201:17 The way to extract error from mortal mind is to pour in truth through flood-tides of Love. SH 12: The effect of this Science is to stir the human mind to a change of base, on which it may yield to the harmony of the divine Mind. SH 451:2 5 /7

7 Christian Scientists must live under the constant pressure of the apostolic command to come out from the material world and be separate. They must renounce aggression, oppression and the pride of power. SH 2: The determination to hold Spirit in the grasp of matter is the persecutor of Truth and Love. SH 42:14 These two contradictory theories that matter is something, or that all is Mind will dispute the ground, until one is acknowledged to be the victor. Discussing his campaign, General Grant said: I propose to fight it out on this line, if it takes all summer. Science says: All is Mind and Mind's idea. You must fight it out on this line. Matter can afford you no aid. SH 44: The weapons of bigotry, ignorance, envy, fall before an honest heart. SH 470:2 5 The right motive and its reward The relations of God and man, divine Principle and 1 idea, are indestructible in Science; and Science knows no lapse from nor return to harmony, but holds the divine order or spiritual law, in which God and all that He creates are perfect and eternal, to have remained unchanged in its eternal history.
