9 EVENING AND MORNING The words evening and morning are used together in the Old Testament with the word day (yom) over 100 times in non-prophetical literature. Each time day refers to a literal, 24hour day.

13 PLURAL OF DAY The word day (yom) appears in its plural form (yammim) over 700 times in the Old Testament. It always means a literal 24-hour day when it is found in non-prophetic literature like Genesis.
