Reading of Leviticus 10 Leviticus 10:3, Moses said to Aaron, This is what the Lord meant when He said: I will show My holiness to those who are near Me, and I will reveal My glory before all the people. When God created the first man and woman, God wasn t obsessed with the glory of the human race, but with His own glory. And it s there, everywhere mysteriously woven into our DNA, the image stamp of the Creator, allowing us to share a unique intimacy with the Almighty and reflect His glory. If God does everything He does for His glory, does that make Him an egotist? Doesn t that make Him the world s biggest megalomaniac? 3

4 It seems like God is full of Himself? If you are God, who would you be full of? Is God, God? Is God the truest, purest, most powerful, most beautiful being in existence? Is God the sole owner of the universe, the originator of all that is, unchanging, eternal and all consuming? Does God know who He is? Does God know that He is supreme in every way unmatched in glory, might, rule and reign? If God doesn t know who He is then He, by default, is not God, because He doesn t know everything. So to be God and not know You are God; would prove that You are in fact not God. Isaiah 42:8a God says, I am the Lord, that is My name; I will not give My glory to another... (NASB) 4

(HCSB) Leviticus 10:6b-7, However, your brothers, the whole house of Israel, may mourn over that tragedy when the Lord sent the fire. You must not go outside the entrance to the tent of meeting or you will die, for the Lord's anointing oil is on you. So they did as Moses said. (HCSB) His glory must come before my grief, my goodness and my glory. Whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for God's glory. (1 Corinthians 10:31-HCSB) 6

7 How do we give Him glory?... OBEDIENCE! 1. Obey = Look at me 2. Obey = Fear the Lord 3. Obey = Love the Lord i am not but i know I AM by Louie Giglio; To joyfully choose to make our lives count for His renown is to join His cause and to get on board with what He is already doing with or without us. In so doing, we make sure our lives count for what matters most while enjoying for all time the very best God has to offer. Which is Himself! The first step of obedience is to surrender to His salvation. 7
