1 Prayer Diary 3 December January 2019 Monday 3 - Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke? Isaiah 58: v 6 Pray that we may not lose sight of what is important to God Tuesday 4 - Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. Matthew 7: v 24 On Christ, the solid rock, I stand; all other ground is sinking sand. Wednesday 5 But they did not listen or pay attention; instead, they followed the stubborn inclination of their evil hearts. They went backward and not forward. Psalm 56: v 13 Lord, lighten my way January Tuesday 1 - They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit. Acts 2: v v 3 and 4 Spirit of the living God, fall afresh on me! Break me, melt me, mould me, fill me! Spirit of the living God fall afresh on me. Wednesday 2ⁿ - The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their father. Matthew 13: v v 41 and 43 Remember in prayer those who are in danger of being in the wrong group Thursday 3 - From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked. Luke 12: v 48 Lord, help me to live up to your expectations Friday 4 - But as for me,it is good to be near God. I have made the Sovereign Lord my refuge; I will tell of all your deeds. Psalm 76: v 12 Pray for Queens, Kings, Presidents and Prime Ministers Tuesday 15 - You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name. Exodus 20: v 7 Pray for those who utter profanities Wednesday 16 - Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you. 2 Thessalonians 3: v 16 Remember in prayer those who are consumed by anxiety Thursday 17 - The King said to me, 'What is it you want?' Then I prayed to the God of heaven and I answered the King. Nehemiah 2: v v 4 and 5 Lord, help me to be very careful in what I say Friday 18 - The Lord lives! Praise be to my Rock! Job 4: v 5 "Holy and strong one, in our weakness we come to you. We bring friends in loneliness and heartache, in weariness and want, in fear and anxiety, strengthen us, good Lord." Wednesday 23rd - "Remember me with favour, O my God." Nehemiah 13: v 31 Thank God for being such a faithful friend Thursday 24th - "Then all the people of the region of the Gerasenes asked Jesus to leave them, because they were overcome with fear." Luke 8: v 37 Pray for those who find the presence of Jesus unsettling. May his love overcome their fear Friday 25th - "But thanks be to God! he gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." 1 Corinthians 15: v 57 Pray for freedom from the oppression of sin Saturday 26th - "The Lord said to Satan, 'Where have you come from?' Satan answered the Lord, 'From roaming through the earth and going to and fro in it.'"
