2 The kids of Kids Week

3 First Day of Kids Week Bible lessons of the day: But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. Matthew 6:33 and 7:7

4 Mr. Ken talks with Mango, a very animated monkey who visited our stage.

5 He s surprised to find a dress when the kids go to seek something different in the sanctuary.

6 The kids gather after finding the surprise items.

7 Wow, this nest is kind of floppy! says Pastor Mike, as he teaches us not to worry as we travel through life.

8 After the kids have shown their finds, everyone (big kids and young ones!) listens to the lesson.

9 Recreation time: Get out the parachute!

10 Hot potato this time, passing a monkey!

11 There was time for crafts, too, with Ms. Laurie and Ms. Susan.

12 Teaching their puppets to sing!

13 Mr. Ken jokes with two puppeteers.

14 Second Day of Kids Week Bible Lesson: Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and the measure you give will be the measure you get. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother s eye, but do not see the plank that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, Let me take the speck out of your eye, when there is the plank in your own eye? First take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother s eye. Matthew 7:1-5

15 Mango is back, and the kids warn him that there is a dragon nearby.

16 The dragon hovers nearby... rawrrr!

17 On to the search, where kids find things to measure with.

18 A plank in your eye, you say?

19 The audience reacts to the lesson.

20 A game throwing balls into buckets is a hit.

21 A new challenge: To draw without seeing!

23 In the art room, fish is on the menu.

28 Third Day of Kids Week Bible Lesson (reprise): Why do you see the speck that is in your brother s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, Let me take the speck out of your eye, when there is a plank in your own eye? First take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother s eye. Matthew 7:3-5

29 Mango is back and he s hungry!

30 Mr. Ken talks with the kids about a fish...

31 ... a fish that the dragon wants!

32 Today s search yields a fish, a snake, a rock and bread pans.

33 Pastor Mike asks, What if you asked your dad for bread, and he gave you a stone?

34 Practicing the skits That s a snake my mom is giving me!

35 A fish is much better: Thanks, Mom!

36 With this plank in my eye, I can t reach to take out the speck in yours!

37 Recreation time: Choose a ball and act out what s written on it!

38 In another event, the kids go bowling.

39 Fourth Day of Kids Week Bible Lesson: For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

40 After the kids search, Rachel shows one of her finds: Some pincers that could help someone who has trouble walking.

41 It turns out that all the hidden items are things to help keep a person safe, such as these hard hats.

42 Pastor Mike s message: God loves us and wants us to be safe. He sent Jesus so that we will not perish.

43 Meanwhile, Mango has learned that the dragon is really pretty nice!

44 When recreation time comes, Mr. Ken makes sure to not look when he stops the music during hot potato!

45 The most popular game of the week is Sharks and Minnows. Here, minnow Ms. Betsy gets pulled in by a shark!

46 Fifth Day of Kids Week: Our narrator starts skit practice.

50 Then off to Hanover Center, where minister Heidi Hoskin asks the kids what could be in this old box? Answer: oyster soup spoons for soup dinners to raise money in the old days.

51 Reverend Hoskin teaches about the altar.

53 In the balcony, the kids ring the bell.

54 Ah, this is fun!

55 Pastor Mike teaches the game Land and Sea.

56 Another great place to have fun during the week was the playground on the Etna Common...
