What a great day we had, great weather, great helpers, great buyers, and just a great time. We want to thank EVERYONE who helped in every way those of you who gave items to sell, those who worked, and those of you who prayed. You all are GREAT! and we can only thank the Lord for you and for His help. By the way, we made almost $4,000.00! Happy Mother s Day to all of our ladies!!! Richard & Lydia Todd

2 When You Thought I Wasn t Looking Dear Mom: reading your Bible and praying, and I learned that life is more serious than recess. take us to church even when you didn t feel good and I learned that worship and fellowship were more important than TV. hang my first painting on the refrigerator, and I wanted to paint a better one. When you thought I wasn t looking, I heard you apologize to Dad, and I learned that when you are wrong it s OK to say so. take a casserole and vacuum cleaner over to the neighbor s house when Mrs. Jones was so sick, and I learned to help others. When you thought I wasn t looking, I saw you saving money in that box so you could give to missions, and I learned that my neighborhood is worldwide. When you thought I wasn t looking, I noticed when we all came home for Thanksgiving that you worked so hard to cook our favorite foods, and that you hugged us all even the one who has transgressed all you taught us and I learned that the highest love is unconditional. When you thought I wasn t looking, I looked at you and I wanted to say, Thanks for all the things I saw when you thought I wasn t looking. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Brain Warm-ups: uncommon This short paragraph has a very unusual quality. 3 The Oyster There once was an oyster whose story I tell Who found that some sand had got into his shell. It was only a grain but it gave him great pain. For oysters have feelings although they re so plain. Why must we have memory enough to recall to the tiniest detail what has happened to us, and not enough to remember how many times we have told it to the same person? 3
