1 Part: 17 & Page- 1 1 Surah: 21. Al-Anbiyâ' ( Prophets) In Name of Allâh, Most Beneficent, Most Merciful. 1. Draws closer for mankind their reckoning, yet they remain stubbornly heedless turning away in negligence. Turn away In heedlessness While they ir reckoning For mankind Draws near 2. Whenever comes to a new admonition /message (a chapter of the Qur'ân) from their Lord, they but listen to it with playful amusement. play While they y listen to it but As a recent revelation From their Lord (from) an admonition Not comes unto 3. With their hearts occupied (with evil amusement); the wrong doers conceal their private counsels by whispering in secret: "Is this (Muhammad SAW) anything but mortal being like? Will, then, yield to his sorcery /magic while see it?" A human being but this What (is) Those who do wrong private counsels they conceal or keep secret ir hearts Being in a light mood occupied 4. He (Muhammad SAW) said: "My Lord knows (every) word (spoken) in the heavens on earth. He is the All-Hearing, the All- Knowing." word knows My Lord He said See (it) While (to) magic Will go to Like 5. Nay, they say: se (revelations of the Qur'ân to Muhammad SAW) are mixture of jumbled confusing Mysterious false y (said) say nay All- Knower All- Hearer He the earth In the heavens

Let then bring us an Ayâh (sign as a proof) like the ones (Prophets) that were sent before (with signs)!" ancients Were sent as A sign Let then bring us (is) a poet Nay he He has invented it nay dreams 6. Not one of the towns (communities), of those which We destroyed before, believed (though We sent signs), will they then (be more willing to) believe? We sent not believe Will they then Which we have destroyed (one) of town Before Not believed 7. We did not send before (O Muhammad SAW) messengers except men whom we inspired with revelations, so ask the people of the Message [having knowledge of the Scriptures the Taurât (Torah), the Injeel (Gospel)] if do not know. You (did) if people (of) the Reminder So ask To We revealed men but Before 8. We did not create (the Messengers, with) bodies that did not eat food, nor were they immortals, y were nor food Not that eat bodies Not We made Not know 9. n We fulfilled to the promise, We saved those whom We willed, but We destroyed Al- Musrifûn (extravagant in oppression in sin). 10. Indeed, We have sent down for (O mankind) a Book, (the Qur'ân) in which there is a divine writ as r Reminder or a good counsel for. Will not then underst? 11. How many a town (community), extravagant how many We have destroyed We destroyed those whom we willed Will then not underst So We saved Your Reminder promise In which (is) We fulfilled to then immortals A book To Indeed We have sent down

Al-Anbiyâ' ( Prophets) 11 (Contd) that were unjust (persisted in evil deeds), have We destroyed, raised up after another people! n when another people After raised up Doing wrong That was A town (from) 12. n, when they perceived (saw) Our Torment (coming), behold, they (tried to) flee from it. 13. (It was said to ) Do not flee, but return to that wherein lived a luxurious life, to r homes, in order that may be questioned. what To But return Not flee flee From it Behold they Our torment y perceived 14. y cried: "Woe to us! Certainly! We have been Zâlimûn (wrong-doers, unjust disbelievers in the Oneness of Allâh)." Wrongdoers Surely we Woe to us y have been said You may be questioned In order that to r homes In it You live a luxurious life 15. n their cries did not cease, till We turned into stubble, totally extinguished /extinct. 16. We did not create the heavens the earth all that is between for a (mere) play. not We created That is reaped As a field We made till Cry of theirs that n not ceased 17. Had We intended to indulge in a pastime, We would surely have taken it from Ourselves, if such had been Our will at all. A pastime We take that Had We intended (as) players Between what the earth heavens 18. Nay, instead We fling (hurl) the truth against truth We fling nay Going to do If We were From Us Surely we could have taken it

Al-Anbiyâ' ( Prophets) 18 (Contd) the falsehood (disbelief), thus it gets smashed, behold, it (falsehood) is totally vanished; woe to for that (lie) which ascribe against Allâh (by uttering that Allâh has created this universe for pastime). You ascribe For that which woe to Is vanished it n when So it destroys or brains it out falsehood against 19. To Him belongs whosoever is in the heavens on earth. those who are near Him (i.e. the angels) are not too proud to worship Him, nor are they weary (of His worship). (to refrain) from Not they are proud (are) near Him those who the earth (is) in the heavens whosoever to Him (belongs) 20. y (the angels) glorify His Praises night day, () they never slacken (to do so). Never they slacken day night y glorify (Him) y are weary nor Worshipping Him 21. Or have they chosen (for worship) âliha (gods) from the earth who can raise (give life to) the dead? gods therein Had there been Raise the dead who From the earth gods y have taken (for worship) or 22. Had there been therein gods besides Allâh in the heavens the earth, then verily both would have been ruined. Glorified be Allâh, the Lord of the Throne, (High is He) above what they attribute to Him! Not He can be questioned y attribute ( to ) (high above) what (of) Throne Lord n Glorified is Surely would both have been ruined besides 23. He cannot be questioned as to what He does, while they will be questioned. 24. Or have they chosen to worship (other) âliha (gods) besides Him? Say: bring You say gods Besides Him y have taken (for worship) or Will be questioned While they He does As to what

But most of do not know the Truth, so they are averse. Not know Most of but (for) those before me Reminder (are) with me (for) those who This (is) Reminder Your proof 25. We did not send any Messenger before (O Muhammad SAW) but We revealed to (saying): Lâ ilâha illa Ana [none has the right to be worshipped but I (Allâh)], so worship Me (Alone none else)." We revealed but (from) any Messenger Before Not We sent (are ) averse So they truth 26. they say: " Most Beneficent (Allâh) has begotten a son (or children)." Glory to Him! y [those they call children of Allâh i.e. 'Iesa (Jesus) son of Maryam (Mary), 'Uzair (Ezra)], are but honoured servants. A son Most Has Gracious begotten they (said) say So worship Me But I god (there) is no that To 27. y do not speak until He has spoken, they act (only) on His Comm. 28. He knows what is before, what is behind, they cannot intercede except for with whom He is pleased. they st in awe for fear of Him. act (by) On His comm they In word Not they precede Him honoured slaves (they are) but Glory to 29. should any one of say: "Verily, I am an ilâh (a god) besides Him (Allâh), He is pleased with For whom except Not they intercede What (is) behind (is) before what He knows Besides Him (am) a god Verify I Of says whosoever St in awe From fear of Him they

Those who Not (seen) known have wrongdoers We recompense thus (with) Hell We will requite or recompense n such 30. Have not those who disbelieve known that the heavens the earth were joined together as one united piece, then We parted? We have made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe? We have made n We parted Joined together were the earth heavens that disbelieved 31. We have placed on the earth firm mountains, lest it should shake with, We placed therein broad paths ways for to pass through, that they may be guided (in direction). Firm mountains (in)on the earth We have made or placed Will then not they believe living everything From water 32. We have made the heaven a roof, safe well guarded. Yet they turn away from its signs (wonders of the universe). We have made Be guided That they may highways broad therein We placed Lest it should shake with 33. He is the One who has created the night the day, the sun the moon, each floating in its (celestial) orbit. Who He (it is) Turn away Its signs from Yet they Safe well guarded A roof heaven floating In an orbit each the moon the sun the day night Has created

Will live forever n they You die n if immortality Before To any human being Not We granted 35. Everyone has (is certain) to taste death, We shall test with bad /evil good (situations), to Us will be returned. to Us As a temptation good With evil We shall try death Is going to taste Every one (soul) 36. when those who disbelieve (in the Oneness of Allâh) see (O Muhammad SAW), they do not take but for mockery (saying to one another): "Is this the one who talks (badly) about r gods?"- they selves reject even the mention of the Most Beneficent (Allâh). Is this man For mockery except y take not (is) disbelieve they (of) the Most created Gracious Those who disbelieved At the mention While they See when (about) r gods You will be returned Mentions/ talks One who 37. Man is created of haste; I will show My Ayât (signs, torments, evidences, lessons revelations).so do not ask Me to hasten (). 38. they say: "When will these promises be (fulfilled), if are truthful." Promise (will come to pass) this when they say So not ask me to hasten My signs I will show haste of 39. If only those who disbelieved knew (the time) when they will not be able to ward off from Not they will ward off time when Those who disbelieved If knew truthful You are if

All of a sudden It will come upon nay Will be helped Not they ir backs from nor Fire ir faces 40. Nay, it (the Fire or the Day of Resurrection) will come upon all of a sudden will astonish, they will have no power to avert it, nor will they get respite. Indeed were mocked Will get respite they nor Avert it So not they will be able to n will perplex 41. Indeed (many) Messengers were mocked before (O Muhammad SAW), but the scoffers were besieged by what they used to ridicule. To mock At it y used to what From mocked Those who n surrounded Before Messengers 42. Say: "Who can protect in the night or in the day from the (punishment of the) Most Beneficent (Allâh)?" Nay, but they turn away from the remembrance of their Lord. (of) their Lord From the remembrance Nay but they From the Most Gracious the day In the night Will protect who You say 43. Or do they have âliha (gods) who can protect from Us? y have no powers even to help selves, nor will they have anyone to protect from Us (from Our Torment). To help No they have power From Us Who can guard gods (for ) have they or Turn away 44. Nay, We gave the luxuries of this life to these people their fathers until until their fathers (to) these (people) We gave luxuries nay Can be protected or be kept company with From Us they nor selves

Is it then they who will prevail? Its outlying borders from We reduce it l That We come to Did then not they see (the period) the life Upon Grew long 45. Say (O Muhammad SAW): "I warn only by virtue of the revelation (from Allâh not by any other opinion). But the deaf (who follow others blindly) will not hear the call, even when they are warned. call deaf will hear but Not By the revelation I warn only You say Who will overcome Is it then they 46. if a slightest whiff of the Torment of r Lord were to touch, they will surely cry: "Woe unto us! Indeed we have been Zâlimûn (unjust wrongdoers). Surely they will (say) cry (of) r Lord Of Torment A breath Touches if y are warned ever when 47. We shall set up just scales (balances) to do justice on the Day of Resurrection (Judgement), then none will be dealt with unjustly in anything; even if it (a deed) is to the measure /weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it Sufficient are We as Reckoners. (of) On the Day Resurrection We will bring it (of) justice balances We shall set up Of mustard (of) seed weight (there) be if Wrongdoers Verily we have been Woe to us At all One/soul n not will be wronged/will be dealt with unjustly 48. indeed We granted to Mûsa (Moses) Hârûn (Aaron) the criterion (of right wrong), a shining light [the Taurât (Torah)] a shining light criterion Aaron Moses indeed We granted/gave Reckoners We as suffice are

Al-Anbiyâ' ( Prophets) 48 (Contd) a Reminder for Al-Muttaqûn (the pious the God fearing); Hour of While they With unseen ir Lord fear Those who For the pious persons a Reminder 49. Those that fear their Lord without seeing Him, dread the Hour (of the Reckoning. 50. this is a blessed Reminder (the Qur'ân) which We have sent down, will then (dare to) reject /deny it? Rejectors/deniers Of it Are then Which We have sent down blessed (is) a Reminder this (are) afraid 51. indeed We bestowed aforetime on Ibrâ (Abraham) wisdom guidance, We were Well-Acquainted with (as to his Belief in the Oneness of Allâh). To his father When he said Well- Acquainted With We were A foretime His guidance Abraham Indeed We gave 52. When he said to his father his people: "What are these images / statues, to which are devoted?" 53. y said: We found our fathers worshipping." We found y said (are) devoted To it which images What (are) these his people 54. He said: "Indeed r fathers have been in manifest error." 55. y said: "Have brought us the truth, or are one of those who are just playing about?" In error r fathers Indeed have been He said worshipping To Our fathers 56. He said: "Nay, r Lord is Your Lord nay He said Those who play (one) of or truth Have brought us y said manifest

So he broke to pieces, (all) except the biggest of, that they might turn to it. who y said return To it That they might Of biggest except Fragments /pieces So he made 59. y said: "Who has done this to our âliha (gods)? He must indeed be one of the wrong-doers." 60. y said: "We heard a ng man talking (against) who is called Ibrâ (Abraham)." Talking against A ng man We heard y said wrongdoers (is) among Surely he To our gods this Has done 61. y said: "n bring before the eyes of the people, that they may testify." That they may (of) the people eyes (on) before n bring y said Abraham (to ) who Is called 62. y said: "Are the one who has done this to our gods, O Ibrâ (Abraham)?" 63. [Ibrâ (Abraham)] said: "Rather, Nay / rather He said O Abraham To our gods this done Have y said Testify/bear witness

So they turned to selves said: "Verily, are the Zâlimûn (polytheists, unjust wrong-doers)." 65. n they turned to selves (reversed their position), hanging their heads (they replied): "Indeed [Ibrâ (Abraham)] know well that these (idols) do not speak!" (on) to selves (their heads) n they turned wrongdoers You (are) Verily n they said selves to 66. [Ibrâ (Abraham)] said: "Do then worship besides Allâh, things that can neither profit, nor harm? That which Besides Do then worship He said speak se (idols) not Indeed know 67. "Fie upon, upon that which worship besides Allâh! Have then no understing (sense)?" 68. y said: "Burn help r âliha (gods), if are to take action." Besides You worship for that which (for) upon fie harm Nor At all Neither can profit 69. We (Allâh) said: "O fire! For the worlds (in it) Which We have blessed l to Lot We rescued worst losers 72. We bestowed upon Ishâque (Isaac), (a grson) Ya'qûb (Jacob). Each one We made righteous. righteous We made each one As an extra Jacob Isaaq Upon We bestowed 73. We made leaders, guiding (mankind) by Our Comm, We inspired to do good deeds, establishing /performing Salât (Iqâmatas-Salât), the giving of Zakât to Us (Alone) they worshipped. Doing (of) good deeds To We revealed By Our Comm guiding leaders We made 74. (remember) Lout (Lot), We gave Hukman (right judgement of the affairs Prophethood) (religious) knowledge, We saved from the town (folk) who practised Al- Khabâ'ith (evil, wicked filthy deeds). Verily, they were a people given to evil, were Fâsiqûn (inequitousd, disobedient to Allâh). judgement We gave Lot worshippers Of Us they were Zakat giving (of) prayer performing 75. We admitted to Our Mercy, truly, he was of the righteous. were Verily they Wicked filthy deeds Had been working which From the town We saved knowledge righteous (was) of Verily he (in) to Our mercy We admitted Wicked, rebellious A people evil

We listened to his invocation saved his family from great distress. distress from his family We saved To So We answered aforetime When he cried (remember) Noah 77. We helped against people who denied Our Ayât (verses, evidences, lessons, signs revelations). Verily, they were a people given to evil. So We drowned all. were Verily they Our signs Denied/beli ed who people against We helped great 78. (remember) Dawûd (David) Sulaimân (Solomon), when they gave judgement in the case of the field in which the sheep of certain people had pastured at night We were witness to their judgement. In (the case of) field/tillage y gave judgement when Solomon (remember) David all So We drowned evil A people 79. We enabled Sulaimân (Solomon) to underst (the case), to each of We gave Hukman (right judgement of the affairs Prophethood) knowledge. We subjected the mountains the birds to glorify Our Praises along with Dawûd (David), it was We Who did (of all these things). Solomon So We made to underst it witness To their judgement We were Sheep (of) people In which Had pastured when 80. We were the One who knew everything. (were some) who dived devils of Knowers Of every thing We are therein Which We had blessed 82. as for the Shayâtin (devils from the jinns, We subjugated for ), there were some who dived for, did other work besides that; it was We Who kept watch over. Job (remember) guards For We were Besides that (other) work worked For 83. (remember) Ayûb (Job), when he called his Lord saying: "Verily, disease /distress has seized me, You are the Most Merciful of all those who show mercy." 84. So We answered his call, We removed the distress that was on, We restored his family to (that he had lost), the like thereof along with, as a mercy from Ourselves a Reminder for all who worship Us. So We answered (of) those who show mercy (are) Most Merciful distress/ affliction Has seized me/ touched me Verily I (to) his Lord When he cried 85. (remember) Isma'îl (Ishmael), Idris (Enoch) Dhul-Kifl (Isaiah), they were all from among from As a mercy With the like thereof His family We restored to From distress (was) with or on That what n We removed (to) (were) from among all Dhul- Kifl (Isaiah) Idris (remember) Ishmael For those who worship a Reminder Ourselves

16 Part: 17 & Page Surah: 21. Al-Anbiyâ' ( Prophets) 85 (Contd) those who were patient. 86. We admitted to Our Mercy. Verily, they were of the righteous. (remember) righteous (were) of Verily they (in) to Our Mercy We admitted patient ones 87. (remember) Dhan- Nûn (the man of the fish Yunus or Jonah), when he went off in anger, imagined that We shall not take to task (punish ). But he cried through the depth of darkness (saying): Lâ ilâha illa Anta [none has the right to be worshipped but You (O Allâh)], Glorified ( Exalted) are You [above all that (evil) they associate with You]. Truly, I have been of the unjust wrong-doers." In/through the darkness (to) So We answered n he cried Over wrongdoers That never We have power (from) of Have been imagined Truly I In anger He went off Glorified are You when Dhun_Nun (Johah) But You god That (there is) no 88. So We answered his call, rescued from the distress. thus We do rescue the believers (who believe in the Oneness of Allâh, do righteous deeds). His Lord When he cried to (remember) Zakariyya believers We deliver thus From the distress We delivered 89. (remember) Zakariya (Zachariah), when he cried to his Lord: "O My Lord! Do not leave me single (childless), though You are the Best of the inheritors." 90. So We answered his call, We bestowed upon Yahya (John), cured his wife (to bear a child) for. Verily, they used to hasten on to do good deeds, On We bestowed So We answered (of) the inheritors (are) Best You single Not leave me O My Lord Good deeds (in) Used to, were hasten to do Verily they His wife For We cured, made sound Yahya (John)

Her chastity guarded she who Humble, meek (for) before us they were fear With hope y used to call on us 91. (remember) she who guarded her chastity [Virgin Maryam (Mary)], We breathed into Our Rûh [through Jibrael (Gabriel)], We made her her son ['Iesa (Jesus)] a sign for Al-'Alamin (universe, worlds all that exist therein). this truly For the worlds A sign her son We made her Through Our spirit (Gabriel) Into her n we breathed 92. Truly! This, r Ummah is one religion, I am r Lord, therefore worship Me (Alone). 93. But they have broken up differed as regards their religion among selves. () all of shall (ultimately) return to Us. Among ir affair (religion) But they have broken up So worship Me (am) r Lord I one (is) nation Your (nation) religion 94. So whoever does righteous good deeds while he is a believer (in the Oneness of Allâh), his efforts will not be rejected. Verily! We record it in his Book of deeds. n not will be rejected (is) a believer he Righteous deeds (from) does So whoever y shall return To Us all 95. a ban is ordained on (people of) town which We have destroyed that they shall not return (to enjoy a new lease of life). 96. Until, when Ya'jûj Ma'jûj (Gog Magog) are let loose (from their barrier), they begin swooping down from every mound. Not shall return That they Which We have destroyed On town a ban (is laid) (are) recorders, writers For His efforts verily We Swoop down mound every from they Magog Gog Are let loose when until

Al-Anbiyâ' ( Prophets) 97. the (fulfilment of) true promise (Day of Resurrection) shall draw near, then (at resurrection); shall see the eyes of the disbelievers fixedly stare in horror. (y will say): "Woe to us! We were indeed heedless of this; nay, but we were Zâlimûn (unjust wrong-doers)." 98. Certainly! You (disbelievers) that which are worshipping now besides Allâh, are (but) fuel for Hell! (Surely), are bound to enter it. Woe to us besides (of) those who disbelieved You worship that which gazes Is fixed (it) n when Certainly Wrong-doers But we were true From this promise In heedlessness Shall draw near Indeed we were 99. Had these (idols) been âliha (gods), they would not have entered there (Hell), all of will abide therein (for ever). gods se (idols) If were Will enter You it Hell (are) fuel (for) 100. re they shall groan/scream with anguish the roaring noise in hell will not let hear anything Verily those for whom the good (news) has preceded from Us, they will be far removed from (Hell). Not will hear therein they (will be) breathing out with deep sighs roaring therein For Will abide therein all of Not they would have entered it 102. y shall not hear the slightest sound of it (Hell), while they abide in delights which their own selves desire. Not they shall hear Will be removed far From it they good From Us For whom Has preceded those verily 103. Hour of the greatest terror (on the Day of Resurrection) will not grieve, terror Not will grieve abide ir ownselves That which desire in they Slightest sound of it

(remember) the Day You were promised which (is) r Day this angels will meet greatest 104. (remember) the Day when We shall roll up the heavens like a scroll rolled for writing, just as We originated the first creation, so We shall repeat it, (it is) a promise binding upon Us. Truly, We shall do so. We shall repeat it creation first As We began For books scroll Like a rolled up heavens We shall roll up 105. indeed We have written in Zabûr (Psalms) after the exhortation (the message given to Moses), that My righteous slaves shall inherit the l Verily, in this (the Qur'ân) there is a plain Message for people who worship Allâh (the true believers of Islâmic Monotheism). that After the Book (the Saved Tablet) In the Psalms indeed We have written doers Truly We are Upon Us (it is) a promise 107. We have sent not (O Muhammad SAW) but as a mercy for the 'Alamîn (the worlds, the Universe all that exist therein) Who worship () For a people Indeed (is) a preaching Message In this verily righteous My slaves Shall inherit it l 108. Say (O Muhammad SAW): "It is revealed to me that r Ilâh (God) is only one Ilâh (God - Allâh). Will then submit to His Will (become Muslims stop worshipping others besides Allâh)?" Your god that To me It is revealed only say For the worlds As a mercy but We have sent not 109. But if they (disbelievers) turn away say (to O Muhammad SAW): "I have warned all alike, All alike I give a notice n say y turn away But if Submit (to his will) Will then One (is) God

From spoken word loud knows Verily He What are promised Or far Whether is near I do know not 110. (Say O Muhammad SAW) Verily, He (Allâh) knows that which is spoken aloud (openly) that which conceal I do not know (if this reprieve), perhaps it may be a trial for, an enjoyment for a while (until an appointed time). For a while an enjoyment For A trial Perhaps it may be not I know That which conceal He knows 112. He (Muhammad SAW) said: My Lord! Judge with truth! our Lord is the Most Beneficent, the One whose Help is to be sought against that (blasphemous) statement which utter. That which attribute against Whose help is sought (is) the Most Gracious our Lord In truth Judge My Lord He said ( Pilgrimage) In Name of Allâh, Most Beneficent, Most Merciful. 1. O mankind! Fear r Lord be dutiful to Him! Verily, the earthquake of the Hour (of Judgement) is a terrible thing. Day terrible (is) a thing (of) the hour earthquake verily Your Lord fear O mankind 2. Day shall see it, every nursing mother will forget her nursling, every pregnant one will drop her load, Her load Every pregnant woman will drop She nursed whoever Every nursing (mother) Will forget You shall see it

(will be ) severe Torment (of) but (will be ) drunken Yet not they As in a drunken state mankind shall see 3. among the people, there is one who disputes concerning Allâh, without knowledge, follows every rebellious (disobedient to Allâh) Shaitân (devil). rebellious Every devil (he) follows Without knowledge In (concerning) disputes (is he) who Among mankind 4. For (the devil) it is decreed that whosoever follows, he will mislead, will drive to the torment of the Fire. (of) the Fire torment To will guide Will mislead Verily he Whosoever follows That It is decreed (written) for From dust We have created n verily Resurrection about In doubt If are O mankind 5. O mankind! If are in doubt about the Resurrection, then verily! We have created (Adam) from dust, then from a Nutfah (mixed drops of semen female ovum embryo), then from a clinging form then from a little lump of flesh, some formed some unformed, so that We may make (it) clear to (to show Our Power Ability to do what We will). We cause to remain in the wombs whom We will for an appointed term; then We bring out unformed We bring out n formed From a little lump of human flesh Term an appointed For Whom we will then From a clot then From mixed drops of male female sexual discharge In the wombs We cause to remain (it) To then That We may make (it) clear

22 Part: 17 & Page ( Pilgrimage) 5 (Contd) as infants, then (give growth) that may reach r age of full strength. among there is one who dies (ng), among there is one who is carried to the miserable old age, so that he knows nothing even after having knowledge. see the earth barren, but when We send down water (rain) on it, it is stirred (to life), it swells puts forth every pleasant pair (kind) of vegetation (growth). Is brought back (there is he) who among Dies (there is he) who earth see Anything Having known among Your age of full strength You may reach n After So that not he knows miserable age As infants To Every kind (from) puts forth it swells It is stirred Water On it We send down But when Barren 6. That is because Allâh, He is the Truth, it is He Who gives life to the dead, it is He Who is Powerful to do all things. All things (on) it is He Who is To the dead Who gives life it is he Is (He) the truth Because That (is) Lovely 7. surely, the Hour (of Doom) is bound to come, there is no doubt about it, certainly, Allâh will resurrect those who are in the graves. (are) in the graves Those who Will resurrect that About it (there is) no doubt Is coming Hour surely Able to do 8. among men is one who disputes about Allâh, without knowledge or guidance, or a Book giving A Book nor Nor guidance Without knowledge About disputes (is he) who Among mankind

23 Part: 17 & Page ( Pilgrimage) 8 (Contd) light (from Allâh), A disgrace In the world For (there is) Path of from To mislead (others) Bending his side Giving light 9. Bending his neck in arrogance to lead (people) far astray from the Path of Allâh. For there is disgrace in this worldly life, on the Day of Resurrection /judgement We shall make taste the torment of burning (Fire). Your hs Have sent forth That (is)because of what (of) burning (Fire) torment On the Day (of) Resurrection We shall make taste 10. (Will say to ) All this is because of what r hs have sent forth, verily, Allâh is not unjust to (His) slaves. very edge upon worships (is he) who mankind among To His slaves unjust Is not Verily 11. among mankind is one who worships Allâh as it were, upon the very edge (of doubt); if good befalls, he is content therewith; but if a trial befalls, he turns back on his face (reverts back to disbelief after embracing Islâm). He loses both this world the Hereafter. That is the evident loss. His face on He turns back Besides A trial Befalls if With it He is content good Befalls who He calls evident It is the loss that the Hereafter if He loses this world 12. He invokes besides Allâh unto that which neither harms nor benefits. That is manifest extreme error. 13. He invokes others beside Allâh He calls Far away A straying (it) is that Profits nor Not hurts Unto that which

Truly, Allâh will admit those who believe do righteous good deeds to Gardens underneath which rivers flow (in Paradise). Verily, Allâh does what He wills. Beneath flowing (to) Gardens Do righteous deeds Those who believe Will admit truly 15. Whoever thinks that Allâh will not help (Muhammad SAW) in this world in the Hereafter, he should stretch a rope to the sky then cut (Allâh s communication) off (from the prophet) then see whether his plan /effort can really remove what irritates! n let see Not help Let strangle self that then (was) thinks To the ceiling(sky) whoever A rope What He wills Let stretch out does verily rivers Hereafter In this world 16. so have We sent it (this Qur'ân) down (to Muhammad SAW) as clear signs (proofs), surely, Allâh guides whom He wills. clear As signs We sent it down thus What he rages His plan Will remove whether 17. Verily, those who believe (in Allâh in His Messenger Muhammad SAW), those who are Jews, Who are Jews those Those who believe verily He wills whom guides That

Allâh is Witness over all things. Will judge That truly those who worship others besides Do not see (is) a witness the Magians everything over Verily the Christians On the Day (of) Resurrection Sabians Between 18. Have not seen that to Allâh prostrates whoever is in the heavens whoever is on the earth, the sun, the moon, the stars, the mountains, the trees, Ad- Dawâb (moving living creatures, beasts), many from mankind? But there are many (people) on whom the punishment is justified. whomsoever Allâh disgraces, none can honour. Verily! Allâh does what He wills. Is justified the moon (there are) many the sun (is) on the earth mankind of many whoever the animals (is) in the heavens the trees whoever Prostrates to Him the mountains stars does Verily Any to honour n (there is) not (for) Disgraces whomsoever punishment On whom 19. se two opponents (believers disbelievers) dispute with each other about their Lord; then as for those who disbelieve, disbelieved n those who About their Lord Dispute (with each other) opponents se two Whatever He wills

Boiling water ir heads over Will be poured down Of fire garments For Will be cut out 20. With it will melt or vanish away what is within their bellies, as well as (their) skins. whenever Of iron (are) hooked rods for skins (is) in their bellies what With it Will melt 21. for are hooked rods of iron (to punish ). 22. Every time they seek to get away from their anguish, they will be driven back therein, (it will be) said to : "Taste the torment of burning!" torment (of) burning (Fire) (it will be said to ) taste therein y will be driven back From/due to anguish there from To get away y seek 23. Truly, Allâh will admit those who believe (in the Oneness of Allâh) do righteous good deeds, to Gardens underneath which rivers flow (in Paradise), wherein they will be adorned with bracelets of gold pearls their garments therein will be of silk. Beneath therein flowing their garments (to) Gardens Righteous deeds do Those who believe Will admit pearls Of gold With bracelets y will be adorned in Truly rivers 24. they are guided (in this world) unto good word (of faith) they are guided to the Path of (Allâh), Who is Worthy of all praises. Of Him Who is Worthy of praise Path to they are guided speech (of) goodness unto they are guided (will be) of silk

(We will punish) Those who disbelieve hinder (people) from the Path of Allâh, from Al- Masjid-al-Harâm (at Makkah) which We have made (available) to (all) people, where the dweller (resident) in it the visitor are equal there [as regards its sanctity pilgrimage (Hajj 'Umrah)]. whoever commits unjust evil actions therein or do wrong, for We shall cause to taste a painful torment. We have made (open) Or to do wrong which To evil actions the Mosque Sacred therein inclines Path (of) whoever from the visitor In it hinder (men) dweller Those who disbelieve (are) equal verily To (all) mankind 26. (remember) when We pointed out for Ibrâ (Abraham) the site of the (Sacred) House (the Ka'bah at Makkah) (saying): "Associate not anything (in worship) with Me, sanctify My House for those who perform circumambulation around it, those who st up for prayer, those who bow (submit selves with humility obedience to Allâh), make prostration (in prayer);" site (of) the (Sacred) House those who bow down those who st up for prayer Abraham We showed For those who circumambulate (it) (remember) when My House cleanse painful A torment anything With Me from We will cause to taste Associate not (in worship) that 27. proclaim to mankind (the obligation of) the Hajj (pilgrimage); they will come to on foot on every lean camel, travelling through every deep distant mountain highway (to perform Hajj). y will come Every lean (camel) on On foot y will come to pilgrimage To mankind proclaim make prostration 28. That they may witness (attain) benefits to selves (reward of Hajj in the Hereafter, also some lawful worldly gain), mention the Name of Allâh Name (of) mention To Things that are of benefit That they may witness Deep ( distant) Every mountain highway from

28 Part: 17 & Page ( Pilgrimage) 28 (Contd) on appointed (specific) days (10th, 11th, 12th, 13th day of Dhul- Hijjâh), over what He has provided of the (sacrificial) animals (at the time of their slaughtering). n eat thereof feed therewith the poor who have a very hard time. thereof n eat (of) cattle beast from He has provided whatever over Days appointed on 29. n let remove all dirt complete the prescribed duties (Manâsik of Hajj) for, perform their vows circumambulation around the Ancient House (the Ka'bah at Makkah). ir vows perform ir prescribed duties n that sacred thing (of) honours Let complete whoever then poor Who had a very hard time feed That is House Ancient circumambulate 30. That (Manâsik prescribed duties of Hajj is the obligation that mankind owes to Allâh), whoever honours the sacred things of Allâh, then that is better for with his Lord. cattle are lawful to, except those (that will be) mentioned to (as exceptions). So shun the abomination (worshipping) of idol, shun false speech. So shun To What will be mentioned except cattle To are made lawful (with) to his Lord For (is) better 31. Hunafâ' Lillâh (Inclining to worship none but Allâh), not associating partners (in worship) unto Him whoever assigns partners to Allâh, it is as if he had fallen from the sky, was snatched by the birds, Associating partners Blown (overcome) or not birds Being upright to had snatched lying speech shun From the sky He had fallen (it is) as if To idols of abomination (worshipping) Assigns partners whoever Unto Him

29 Part: 17 & Page ( Pilgrimage) 31 (Contd) or the wind had thrown to a far off place. n it is truly Symbols (of) honours whosoever that Far off A place to wind 32. Thus it [prescribed duties of Hajj (as mentioned earlier) an obligation that mankind owes to Allâh]: whosoever honours the sanctity of the Symbols of Allâh, then surely such things emanate from the piety of the heart. y are brought for sacrifice n (afterwards) Term an appointed for benefits In You have (of) the hearts piety from 33. For there are benefits in (cattle offered for sacrifice) for an appointed term, then they are brought for sacrifice unto the ancient House (the Haram - sacred territory of Makkah city). Name (of) That they may mention Religious ceremonies We have appointed For every nation House the Ancient unto 34. for every religion We have appointed religious rite (of sacrifice), that they may mention the Name of Allâh over what he has provided for of (the sacrificial) animals. r Ilâh (God) is One Ilâh (God Allâh), so must submit to Him Alone. (O Muhammad SAW) give glad tidings to the Mukhbitin (those who obey Allâh with humility are humble) submit To Him those patient (is) God One ir hearts r God Are filled with fear (of) cattle Is mentioned When (if) beast of That (what) We have given those To those who obey with humility over give glad tidings 5. Those whose hearts are filled with awe when Allâh is mentioned; who patiently bear whatever may befall (of calamities); who are steadfast in performing /establishing prayers (AsSalât) who spend (in Allâh's Cause) out of what We have provided. y spend We have provided out of what prayer who perform Whatever may befall (on)

Budn (the big animals of sacrifice like cows, oxen, or camels driven to be offered as sacrifices by the pilgrims at the sanctuary of Makkah); We have made for as among the Symbols of Allâh, therein have much good. So mention the Name of Allâh over when they are drawn up in lines (for sacrifice). n, when they are down on their sides (after slaughter), eat thereof, feed the beggar who does not ask (is content) the beggar who asks. Thus We have made subjugated to that may be grateful. Name of poor man (who does not ask) men So mention Much good In You have symbols (of) feed thereof eat On their sides Never reaches May be grateful That To (as) among y are down We have made subject For We have made n when thus (they are) drawn up in lines (for sacrifice) Cows, oxen or camels Over the beggar who asks (men) 37. It is neither their meat nor their blood that reaches Allâh, but it is piety from that reaches Him. Thus have We made subjugated to that may glorify Allâh for His Guidance to. give glad tidings (O Muhammad SAW) to the Muhsinûn (doers of good deeds). To He made subject thus From piety Reaches but ir blood nor ir meat 38. Truly, Allâh defends those who believe. Verily! Allâh does not like any treacherous ingrate to Allâh [those who disobey Allâh but obey Shaitân (Satan)]. defends Truly To doers of good give glad tidings What He guided for That may magnify 39. Permission to fight is given to those (believers) against whom fighting is launched Who are fought against To those Permission is given ingrate treacherous every Not likes Verily Who believe those

31 Part: 17 & Page ( Pilgrimage) 39 (Contd) () because they (believers) have been wronged, surely, Allâh is Powerful to give victory. Have been expelled Those who (is) Able To give victory surely y have been wronged Because they (of) That had people checks it not been Our Lord (is) y said that Only/but Without just cause ir homes from 40. Those that have been expelled from their homes unjustly only because they said: "Our Lord is Allâh." - For had it not been that Allâh checks one set of people by means of another, monasteries, churches, synagogues, mosques, wherein the Name of Allâh is mentioned (praised), much would surely have been pulled down. Verily, Allâh will help those who help His (Cause). Truly, Allâh is All- Strong, All-Mighty. mosques synagogues churches monasteries Would have been pulled down By another One set truly Help Him (His Cause) Those who Verily, will help much Name (of) wherein Is mentioned 41. Those (Muslim rulers) who, if We give authority in the l, (they) establish prayers Iqamat-as- Salât, to pay the Zakât they enjoin what is just, fair all that Islâm orders one to do (Al-Ma'rûf,) forbid unjust, unfair wrong (Al- Munkar); with Allâh rests the fate of (all) matters. prayer y establish In the l We give power if Those who All- Mighty (is) All- Strong (of all) matters end with rests Forbid evil they good they comm Zakat (charity alms) pay

32 Part: 17 & Page ( Pilgrimage) 42. if they reject (O Muhammad SAW), so (the prophets) were rejected, before, (by) the people of Nûh (Noah), 'Ad Thamûd, Thamud Ad people (of) Noah Before Verily denied y deny if 43. the people of Ibrâ (Abraham) the people of Lout (Lot), Moses was denied dwellers (of) Madyan(Midian) people (of) Lot people (of) Abraham 44. the dwellers of Madyan (Midian); Mûsa (Moses) was (also) rejected, but I gave some respite to the disbelievers for a while, then I seized, how (terrible) was My Punishment. (from) a township many My punishment was how (terrible) I seized then To the disbelievers But I granted respite 45. many a townships have We destroyed while they were steeped in wrong doing transgression, so that they remain in ruins (up to this day), (many) a deserted well lofty castles! (many) a deserted well Its roofs in lies So that it (was) wrongdoer While it We have destroyed 46. Have they (people Mecca) not travelled through the l, have had hearts herewith to underst ears to hear with? Verily, it is not the eyes that turn blind, but hearts they have Through the l Have not they travelled lofty castle but eyes Not turn blind verily With To hear ears Or With To underst

33 Part: 17 & Page ( Pilgrimage) 46 (Contd) it is the hearts which are in their chests that turn blind. never On the Torment y ask to hasten (are)in the breasts which hearts Grow blind 47. they ask to hasten (to bring) the torment! Allâh will never fail in His Promise. verily, a day with r Lord is like one thous years of what reckon. You count (reckon) Of what (is) as a thous years With r Lord A day verily His promise fails 48. many a township did I give respite while it was indulging in wrong-doing. n (in the end) I seized it (with punishment). to Me is the (final) return (of all). 49. Say (O Muhammad SAW): "O mankind! I am (sent) to only as a plain Warner." (is) the final return to Me I seized it n (in the end) Was given to wrongdoing While it To it I gave respite Of a township many 50. So for those who believe (in the Oneness of Allâh) do righteous good deeds, for there is forgiveness Rizqûn Karîm (generous /dignified provision). So those who believe (am) a warner plain To I verily O mankind say 51. But those who strive against Our Ayât (signs, verses, evidences revelations) to frustrate obstruct ; they will be dwellers of the Hell-fire. 52. Never did We send a Messenger or a Prophet before, Those who strive generous provision (is) forgiveness For Righteous deeds do Before not We sent dwellers (of) the Hell-Fire Those are To frustrate () Our Signs against

34 Part: 17 & Page ( Pilgrimage) 52 (Contd) but; when he did recite the revelation or narrated or spoke, Shaitân (Satan) cast doubts (some falsehood) in it. But Allâh abolishes that which Shaitân (Satan) throws in. n Allâh establishes His Revelations. Allâh is All-Knower, All- Wise: His recitation in Satan threw He did recite the revelation (is) All- Knower His revelations Establishes when but Prophet nor Messenger any then Satan What throws in But abolishes 53. That He (Allâh) may make what is thrown in by Shaitân (Satan) a trial for those in whose hearts is a disease (of hypocrisy disbelief) whose hearts are hardened. certainly, the Zalimûn (unjust wrong-doers) are in an opposition far-off (from the truth against Allâh's Messenger the believers). (is) a disease In whose hearts For those that know Far-off (are) in an opposition A trial Satan What throws That He () may make wrongdoers certainly ir hearts hardened All-Wise 54. that those who have been given knowledge may know that it (this Qur'ân) is the truth from r Lord, that they may believe therein, their hearts may submit to it with humility. verily, Allâh is the Guide of those who believe, to the Straight Path. To it will not cease may submit In it So that they may believe From r Lord (is) the truth Straight Path to (of) those who believe That it (this Quran) (is) the guide Have been given knowledge verily Those who ir hearts

35 Part: 17 & Page ( Pilgrimage) 55. those who disbelieve will not cease to be in doubt about it (this Qur'ân) until the Hour comes suddenly upon, or there comes to the torment of the futile Day (after which there will be no night). Or there suddenly Hour comes to Comes to until About it (Quran) doubt (to be) in Those who disbelieved 56. sovereignty on that Day will be that of Allâh. He will judge between. So those who believed (in the Oneness of Allâh) did righteous good deeds shall be in Gardens of bliss (Paradise). So those who believed Our Verses denied Between He will judge Those who disbelieved (will be) for On that Day Gardens (of) delight sovereignty (will be) in (of) a Day futile (after which there will be no night) Righteous good deeds torment did 57. those who disbelieved denied Our signs Verses (of this Qur'ân), for will be a humiliating torment (in Hell). 58. Those that emigrated in the Cause of Allâh after that were killed or died, surely, Allâh will provide a good provision for. verily, it is Allâh Who indeed is the Best of those who make provision. y were killed n (after that) Of those who provide sustenance Cause (of) (is) Best It is He who indeed in those who emigrated A torment humiliating Verily For (will be) good provision Surely will provide for died (those) or 59. Definitely, He will admit to an entrance with which they shall be wellpleased, verily, Allâh is All-Knowing, Most Forbearing. That is so Most Forbearing (is) indeed All- Knowing verily With which they shall be well pleased An entrance Truly He will make enter 60. That is so.

36 Part: 17 & Page ( Pilgrimage) 60 (Contd) whoever has retaliated with the like of that which he was made to suffer, then has again been wronged, Allâh will surely help. Verily! Allâh is Most-Pardoning, Most- Forgiving. Verily Will surely help He has again been wronged (against ) then (with it) (of) that which he was made to suffer With the like Has retaliated whoever 61. That is because Allâh merges the night into the day, He merges the day into the night. verily, Allâh is All-Hearing, All- Seeing. day merges Into the day night merges because That (is) Oft- Forgiving (is) Oft- Pardoning 62. That is because Allâh is the Truth (the only True God of all that exists); what they (the polytheists /disbelievers) invoke besides Him, it is Bâtil (false); verily, Allâh He is the Most High, the Most Great. what that Most Great He (is) the Truth (is) the Most High because That (is) All-Seer (is) All- Hearer verily Into the night He that falsehood It is Besides Him y invoke 63. Did not see that Allâh sends down water (rain) from the sky, then the earth becomes green? Verily, Allâh is the Most Kind Courteous, Well- Acquainted with all things. verily green earth becomes Water (rain) sky from Sends down That Do not see 64. To Him belong all that is in the heavens all that is on the earth. verily, Allâh verily (is) in the earth what (is) in the heavens what To Him (belongs) () Well- Acquainted (is) Most Kind

37 Part: 17 & Page ( Pilgrimage) 64 (Contd) He is Rich (Free of all needs); worthy of all praise. the ships (is) on the earth what To Has subjected That Do not see Worthy of all praise (is) Rich (free of all wants) He 65. Did not see that Allâh has subjugated to (mankind) all that is on the earth, the ships that sail through the sea by His Comm? He withholds the sky from falling on the earth except by His permission. Verily, Allâh is, for mankind, full of Kindness, Most Merciful. By His Leave except On the earth Lest it fall heaven he withholds By His Comm Through the sea That sail 66. He is the One who gave life, then will cause to die, will again give life (on the Day of Resurrection). Verily! Man is indeed an ingrate. He will cause to die then Gave life Who (it is) He Most Merciful (is) full of kindness For mankind Verily 67. For every religious community, We have ordained religious rites /ways of worship which they ought to observe; so let (disbelievers) not dispute with on this matter, but invite to r Lord. Verily! You (O Muhammad SAW) indeed are on the (true) straight guidance (the true religion of Islam). That they guidance Religious ceremonies (are) indeed on We have ordained Verily For every nation To r Lord invite () (is) an ingrate Verily man He will again give life In the matter So not let dispute with then Follow it 68. if they argue with, say (to ); "Allâh knows best of what do. Of what do Knows best n say y argue with if straight

38 Part: 17 & Page ( Pilgrimage) 69. "Allâh will judge between on the Day of Resurrection about that wherein used to differ." Do not know To differ In it You used About what (on) the day (of) Resurrection Between Will judge 70. Do not know that Allâh knows all that is in heaven on earth? Verily, it is (all) recorded in the Book (Al-Lauh Al-Mahfûz). Verily! That is easy for Allâh.
