ALLAH "Allah جل جلاله has ninety-nine names, one-hundred minus one, and whoever knows them will go to Paradise" (al-bukhaari, Vol. 3, Book 50, Hadith 894)
Al-Ahad Allah is One He is the One God He has no Partner He is One and Alone
Story: Bilal (R.A) Bilal (R.A) was the slave of Umayyah, Umayyah believed in many gods and worshiped idols. When Bilal (R.A) became a Muslim, Umayyah did not like it so he told Bilal (R.A) to leave Islam and come worship idols with him. When Bilal (R.A) refused his master's order, Umayyah became angry with him and decided to punish him. As his punishment, Umayyah made Bilal lie on the burning sand under the hot son. Then Umayyah placed a heavy stone on Bilal's chest and said "Give up Islam or die!" Bilal (R.A) suffered so much pain but he did not give up Islam. He would only say "Allah is One, Allah is One!" Umayyah, along with the others, took turns to whip Bilal (R.A) and he was left in the sun to suffer more. Then they came back, held Bilal (R.A) from his tied hands and dragged him in the streets. But Bilal (R.A) was patient and kept repeating the same words "Allah is One, Allah is One!" At last, Abu Bakr (R.A) bought Bilal (R.A) from Umayyah and set him free. Bilal (R.A) became the first Muezzin of Islam and a close friend of Prophet.ﷺ Muhammad
Al-Khaliq The Creator Allah made everything from nothing He made the sky and put everything in it. He made the earth and everything on it.
Story: The Creator of the Worlds Prophet Ibraheem (A.S) said to his father and his people, "What do you worship?" They said "We worship idols." Ibrahim (A.S) asked "Do they listen to you when you call on them? Do they do you any good or any harm?" They replied "No, but we found our fathers doing so." Prophet Ibraheem (A.S) then told the people "The things that you worship are my enemies. I worship the Creator of the Worlds. He created me and He guides me. He gives me food and drink. And when I am ill, He cures me. He will cause me to die and then to live again and who I hope will forgive my faults on the Day of Judgement."
Al-Muhyi The Giver of Life Allah made a chicken from an egg Allah made a tree from a seed Allah made you and me
Story: Adam (A.S) The first man to be created by Allah جل جلاله was Adam (A.S). He was different from animals and plants in many ways. Adam (A.S) could think, which plants and animals cannot do. Adam (A.S) could talk and communicate his thoughts, plants and animals cannot do that. Who gave all this to Adam (A.S)? Indeed it is Allah جل جلاله, the Giver of Life. Allah جل جلاله gave Adam (A.S) the gift of speech. Allah جل جلاله gave Adam (A.S) the gift of the mind so that he could think.
As-Samee All-Hearing Allah hears our silent thoughts, whispers and duas. He hears all the people in the whole world at the same time.
Story: A prayer for help Once Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and his companions were faced by an enemy of 1000 people at a place called Badr. At that time the Muslims had only 2 horses and about 70 camels. The place where they were camped had very dry, loose sand which made it difficult to walk and there was no source of water anywhere near them to drink. However, their enemy had all the benefits; they were in greater number, they had all kinds of weapons and they were camped at a site where the ground was hard. They also had a few wells that provided them with drinking water. Prophet Muhammad ﷺ lifted his hands and made dua unto Allah جل جلاله to help the Muslims against their enemy. Allah جل جلاله answered his dua and caused a rainfall which hardened the ground as well as providing fresh water to drink. At the same time, this rainfall had caused the ground on the enemy side to become slippery and the water in their wells became muddy and undrinkable. The following day, Allah جل جلاله helped the Muslims to fight against their enemy by sending down angels to fight with them. In the end the Muslims had defeated their enemy with the help from Allah جل جلاله who is All-Hearing.
Al-Aleem All-Knowing Allah knows everything, nothing is hidden from His Knowledge. Allah knows the good and the bad we do.
Story: Umar (R.A) During the time when Umar (R.A) was the leader of the Muslims, he was walking in the streets of Madina and as he passed by a certain house he heard voices coming from inside. A women and her daughter were having a conversation, the mother said "Let us mix some water with the milk, we can make more money because we are poor. We need the money and nobody will know what we did." After hearing what her mother said, the daughter replied "No, it is wrong to mix water with the milk and then to sell the milk. It is against Umar (R.A)'s ruling and it is dishonest." The mother replied "Umar (R.A) is not here and he does not know what we are doing." The daughter replied to her mother by saying "We must obey Umar (R.A), even if he is not here. Besides, he may not know but how can we hide from Allah جل جلاله? He sees everything and knows all." After hearing their conversation, Umar (R.A) walked off silently because he was very pleased with the girl.
Al-Baseer All-Seeing Allah sees in the darkness and in the light Allah sees but needs no eyes Allah sees everything we do no matter where we are.
Story: Allah can see you anywhere Junayd was a man who lived in Baghdad. He was a very religious person (saint) and had many followers. Among his followers, one of them was his favorite and Junayd noticed that some of the other followers were jealous of the favorite one. One day, Junayd called all his followers to meet with him. He said to them "Each one of you will take a chicken and slaughter it in a place where no one can see you. Then bring the meat to me. I am going to have a special dish prepared for you." All his followers went in their own direction and began slaughtering their chicken in a place where they thought nobody could see them. Later in the day, all of the followers returned with the meat except for the favorite one who came back with his chicken still alive. Junayd asked him "Why did you not slaughter the chicken?" He replied "I could not find such a place where no one could see me. No matter where I went Allah جل جلاله could still see me!" After hearing what he said, Junayd turned to the other followers and said "Now, do you see why I like him so much?"
Al-Wadud All-Loving Allah loves all His creation, we are all equal before Him. Allah loves people of all color.
Story: A mother's love Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was sitting and talking to his companions (R.A). Then a man came up to them and said "a wonderful thing happened, I was passing by a bush and heard a chirping noise. I peeped in and saw two young pigeons. I picked them up in my wrapper and started walking. By this time the mother pigeon came back to see her nest was empty. She began flying above us. As I opened my wrapper and how strange! The mother pigeon came down into my wrapper and sat over her young ones. See! They are still in my wrapper." Prophet Muhammad ﷺ saw the birds and said to the man, "Go at once and put them back in their nest. A mother has much love for her young ones. However, my companions, Allah جل جلاله has far more love and concern for His creation."
Ar-Raheem Most Merciful Allah does not wrong anyone He is merciful to animals He forgives our mistakes Allah shows his Mercy to those in difficulty.
Story: The blind snake A gang of robbers were on their way to their destination. They began to feel hungry and stopped at a place where they saw three date trees. Two of the three trees were green and had fruit growing on them but the third one was dry and had no fruit or leaves. One member of the gang saw a bird flying with fruit from the green tree and taking it to the dry tree. This happened a few times until the robber became curious. He wanted to know what the bird was doing with the fruit. So, he climbed up the tree and saw a snake at the top of it. The snake was blind and its mouth was open. The bird was putting dates in its mouth. When the robber saw this, he was surprised and began to cry. He said " O Allah, you have caused this bird to provide for the snake with food and I am busy robbing others." Through this the robber saw the kindness of Allah جل جلاله. The robber broke his sword and begged Allah جل جلاله to forgive him. He told his partners what he saw and they all broke their swords and decided to give up their evil ways.
Ar-Razaq The Provider Allah alone is the true provider He gives us rain, air, food and drink Allah provides but his provision never comes to an end.
Story: The fish in the sea Prophet Muhammad ﷺ sent a group of three-hundred men towards the sea-shore on a mission. Before they left he gave each person a bag full of dates. After 15 days had passed the dates began to slowly finish and the men ran short of food. The Ameer collected all the dates that were left with each person and stored them in a bag. He would give one date to each person for the day and at last when all the dates were finished the men began to worry. During all this hardship, the men made sabr and were patient and Allah جل جلاله had mercy on them and they arrieved near the sea. A big fish known as 'ambar' came to shore. It was so big that they lived on it for 18 days. They also filled their bags with the remaining portion which lasted them until they reached Madeena. When this event was related to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ he said "the fish was provided for you by Allah جل جلاله.

Al-Wali The Protecting Friend Allah helps those who are patient Allah needs no one's help, He is the true helper Allah helps us when we are in difficulty
Story: Asking for Allah s 'جل جلاله help The Quraysh army, who were the enemies of the Muslims, had about 1,000 men in their army. The men were fully armed and had come to fight the Muslims. The Muslims at the time had about 300 men and only 2 horses. Most of them had swords but only a few men had armor. The armies met at a place called Badr. Prophet Muhammad prayed to Allah "O Allah! We need your help! If this small ﷺ group of ours is killed, there would be none left to worship you. Neither our number nor our strength is of any use. Your help alone can save us!" The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ urged the Muslims to fight and said "those who died fighting the enemy, would get Jannah." Although the Muslims were all on foot and 300 of the enemy men were on horseback, Allah جل جلاله had sent down angels to help the Muslims fight, the Muslims fought very bravely and won the battle. In the end, the Muslims lost 14 men, the enemy lost 70 men and 70 were taken as prisoners.
Al-Hafeez The Protector Allah protects us from wild and poisonous animals If Allah protects us then nothing can harm us Allah alone is the true Protector
Story: جل جلاله Protected by Allah When the people of Makkah planned to kill Prophet Muhammad, ﷺ he and his companion, Abu Bakr (R.A) left Makkah to go to Madina. After they left, men were sent in all directions to look for him and a reward of 100 camels was offered to anyone.ﷺ who captured Prophet Muhammad The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and Abu Bakr (R.A) hid in a cave in Mount Thoor. One search party reached the entrance of the cave, they were so close to the cave that those inside the cave could hear their voices. Abu Bakr was concerned, he said "O Messenger of Allah, the enemy will see us!" The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was calm, he replied "don t be afraid! Surely Allah is with us." Then a voice was heard from the outside of the cave saying, "nobody has entered the cave. Look at the spider's web over the entrance of the cave!" The search party left the cave and went in another direction. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and Abu Bakr (R.A) were protected by Allah جل جلاله and no one could harm them.
