Sept A 4 Allah s Angels General Objectives: A To understand the need to believe in the Angels of Allah. 1. To learn that the belief in Angels is one of the six pillars of Faith. 2. To learn about the nature of Angels 3. To know how Angels help us. Sep A 5 The Books of Allah General Objectives: To focus on the importance of believing in the Books of Allah 1. Oct B 1 Ibraheem Searches for Allah General Objectives: To understand the story of Prophet Ibraheem s thirst to find One True Creator, Allah. 1. To learn how young Ibraheem struggled to believe in Allah. 2. To understand the story of Ibraheem s rejection of statues/images/idols. 3. To focus on the belief in Tawheed, oneness of Allah. Oct B 2 Prophet Ibraheem: Iman Made Him Brave General Objectives: To understand how Iman makes a Muslim brave and fearless. 1. To learn the story of Ibraheem s bravery when he denied to worship the idols and follow the ways of his family. 2. To learn the belief in Tawheed, the one ness of Allah, makes a person bold. 3. Oct B 3 When Fire Does Not Burn General Objectives: To understand the miracle of fire not burning Prophet Ibraheem, alaihis salam. 1. To appreciate and understand the fact that Allah surely helps those who believe in Him. 2. To learn the story of how the people threw Ibraheem in the fire and how he boldy accepted it. 3. To learn that Allah is always there for those who care to believe and put their Trust in Him. Khushoo During Prayer General Objective: To understand that khushoo (humility and concentration) is important aspect of a Muslim s prayer. 1 To appreciate that khushoo is a great virtue of Salah. 2. Feb C 5 Du aa: Ask and You will be Answered General Objective: To focus on the need to turn to Allah in du aa. 1 To understand what du aa is! 2. To learn that a Muslim has to turn to Allah Alone at all times for help and guidance. 3. Learn that Allah is Al Mujeeb and understand that Allah responds to one s du aa. (refer ayah in pg C 38) 4. To understand that Allah is the One Who cures people. 5. To learn the manners of making du aa. 6. To learn about the best times to make du aa. 7. To learn the duaa in pg C 43 by heart. Feb The New Messenger General Objective: To focus on the story of Prophet Muhammad becoming the Last Messenger of Allah. 1 To understand who a Prophet is and what is the Arabic word for Prophet and Messenger. To learn the story of the Prophet Muhammad s encounter with angel Jibreel in the cave of Hira. 3. To learn the surah al Alaq and understand its meanings. 4. To learn how the prophet felt after he became the Prophet through the story of Wrap me, Wrap me. 5. To recite the verses of Surah al Muddathir and understand its meaning and relevance. 6. To learn the story of Waraqah ibn Naufal. 7. To learn that Allah s one attribute is Al Noor, the Light. General Objective: To learn about the dawah of the Prophet to his near and dear ones. 1 To understand the basic terms: Sahabi, Sahaba, Sahabiyyag, Sahabiyyat, Radhiyallahu Anhu/Anha and learn their meanings 2. To learn about the rewards and punishments/jannah and Jahannum. 4. To learn about Abu Jahl, the father of ignorance, and his attitude towards Muslims. 5. To learn about the sufferings of Bilal, Yasir, Ammar and Sumayyah (may Allah be pleased with them) Apr D 3 Early Muslims Suffer General Objective: To learn about the sufferings and the plight of early Muslims with special reference to Abdullah bin Masood, and also about the first emigrants to Abnyssinia. 1 To learn the hadeeth on pg D 24 by heart and understand its meaning. Apr D 4 The Boycott Against Muslims General Objective: To learn about the history of the Boycott against the Makkan Muslims. 1 To learn the meaning of the word Boycott. 2. To read and understand the history of the persecution of Muslims during the Boycott time. 3. To appreciate the spirit of Muslims to withstand all pressures and persecutions despite the plight of the boycott. May 1-5 D 6 The Faithful Wife: Khadeejah General Objective: To appreciate the greatness of Khadeejah, the great wife of the Prophet. 1 To learn about the story of Khadeejah comforting the Prophet in times of distress. 2. 13 May 8-12 E 1 Cleanliness and Purity: It s my Nature General Objective: To understand and appreciate that importance and status of cleanliness in Islam. 1 To learn about what and how of Taharah 2. To learn that cleanliness and purity is one of the important pillars of Muslim faith. 3. To learn and memorise the hadeeth on Taharah. 4. To learn about najasah and how to keep oneself clean. 5.To learn about the etiquettes of using bath/washroom. 6. To learn by heart the du aa on entering and exiting toilet. 7. To learn some manners of keeping one s surroundings clean and green. May E 2 Co-operation: It s My Strength General Objective: To learn about the need to cooperate and work as a team. Specific Objective: 1 To learn the ayah in page E 13 about extending co-operation in matters of righteousness. 2 To learn the story of the dying man mentioned in page E16 3.
