The Colors in the Quran All Praises are due solely to Allah, He is alone and hasn t any partners. I attest to the fact the whomsoever Allah guides no one can mislead him and everyone Allah leads astray no one or nothing can guide him. May Allah s peace and blessings be upon Muhammad, his family, his companions and everyone who follows their path until the Last Day. Among the amazing things that has reached through the Quran is the mentioning of certain colors in certain places. Briefly in this article I ve translated the colors mentioned in Allah s Speech. The colors that are mentioned in the Quran are: Yellow This the first color mentioned in the Quran and it s mentioned 5 times in 5 different verses. It s a pleasing color to the eyes

The origin of this research stems from a blessed Muslim brother asking me a question about 70 mentioned in the Quran and Sunnah; following a Tweet I shared a while back. He wanted to know what exactly did it refer to, and does it always mean numerous. He kept asking me and asking me, so I also titled this paper The Clear answer for the one who asked me 70 times about the meaning of 70. In an attempt to answer him I collected 40 ahadith and one verse from the Quran with explanations based on the understanding of the Salaf. In other areas for our benefit and our children I added math questions hoping my brothers and sisters will enjoy learning.(صلى الله عليه و سلم) from the Sunnah of our Prophet This paper is nowhere near perfection, and that belongs soley to Allah the Most High. Your Brother in need of Allah s Mercy

Abu Aaliyah Abdullah Battle PhD student in (Sunnah) Academic/Khateeb in Qatar Allah( تعالى ) said: Whether you (O Muhammad ) ask forgiveness for them (hypocrites) or ask not forgiveness for them (and even) if you ask seventy times for their forgiveness Allah will not forgive them, because they have disbelieved in Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad ).[ At-Taubah: 80] Imam Al-Baghawee[516H] said : seventy times in this verse refers to an enormous amount of times. That the Messenger of (ﷺ) Allah said: The Jews split into seventy-one sects, one of which will be in Paradise and seventy in Hell. The Christians split into seventy-two sects, seventy-one of which will be in Hell and one in Paradise. I swear by the One Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad, my nation will split into seventy-three sects, one of which will be in Paradise and seventy-two in Hell. It was said: O Messenger of Allah, who are they? He said: The main

body. [2] The number 73 in this hadith refers to numerous amount and isn t restricted to 73 sects. Some scholars have said that 71 was mentioned for the Jews, 72 for the Christians and 73 for the Muslims to show that we will split up the most compared to the previous nations. [3] Chapter 2: Seeking forgiveness 70 times a day Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying: By Allah, I seek Allah s forgiveness and repent to Him more than seventy times a day. [4] AL-Munawee said: 70 times a day here refers to a numerous amount of times and not the number 70.[5] Question: If (ﷺ) He sought Allah s Forgiveness 70 times a day how many times would that total in a period of 10 days? Chapter 3: 70 branches of Iman The Prophet (ﷺ) said, Iman has over seventy branches or over sixty branches the uppermost of which is the declaration: None has the right to be worshipped but Allah ; and the least of which is the removal of harmful object from the road, and modesty is a branch of Iman. [6] This hadith refers to branches of faith which

include actions. Imam Al-Bayhaqi compiled a book called the branches of faith. He collected 77 chapters and included in each chapter are the actions of Iman. Chapter 4: avoiding sins and repenting 70 times a day Abu Bakr (May Allah be pleased with him)narrated: That the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: He who seeks forgiveness continuously cant be considered a persistent sinner, even if he sins seventy times in a day. [7] Ibn Hajr said : This refers to a large excessive amount of times.and not 70 times exactly.[8] Chapter 5 : 70 Martyrs in Jihad Qatada(May Allah be pleased with him)said: ال ك ذ اب. م س ي ل م ة ي و م ب ك ر We do not know of any tribe amongst the Arab tribes who lost more martyrs than Al-Ansar, and they will have superiority on the Day of Resurrection. Anas bin Malik told us that seventy from the Ansar were martyred on the day of Uhud, and seventy on the day (of the battle of) Bir Ma una, and seventy on the day of Al-Yamama. Anas added, The battle of Bir Ma una took place during the lifetime of Allah s Messenger (ﷺ) and the battle of Al-Yamama, during the caliphate of Abu Bakr, and it

was the day when Musailamah Al-Kadhdhab was killed. [9] Ibn Ishaq said : 65 from the Muhajireen and 4 from the Ansar were Martyred in the Battle of Uhud.[10] Question: There were 2 battles and in each battle 70 were martyred. How many martyrs is that in total? Chapter 6: 70,000 Angels asking for forgiveness Ali bin Abu Talib (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying, When a Muslim visits a sick Muslim at dawn, seventy thousand angels keep on praying for him till dusk. If he visits him in the evening, seventy thousand angels keep on praying for him till the morning; and he will have (his share of) reaped fruits in Jannah. [11] Question: If you visit a person at Thur and one at Maghrib how many Angels that day ask Allah s Forgiveness on your behalf? The Prophet (ﷺ) said Hell would be brought on that day (the Day of Judgment) with seventy thousand bridles, and seventy thousand angels dragging each bridle.[12]

Question: There are 70,000 bridles connected to Hell and each bridle of Hell will have 70,000 Angels pulling it, so how many Angels will Allah use? Abu Hurairah(May Allah be pleased with him)said that they suffered from hunger and they were seven. He said: Then the Prophet (ﷺ) gave me seven dates, one date for each man. [13] Question: There were 7 hungry Sahabah and the Prophet صلى) وسلم عليه (الله gave each one only 1 date, and if he wanted to give each one of them 7 dates how many date would he have needed? Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) said: الطيالسة عليهم ألفا سبعون أصبهان The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, Dajjal (the Antichrist) will be followed by seventy thousand Jews of Isfahan and will be dressed in robes of green colored satin. [14] Shaykh Abdur Rahman Al-Mubarkfuri said: This hadith doesn t indicate that the Dajjal will come from Isfahan.[15] Chapter 10: 70 injured and 70 Martyred

Al-Bara bin `Azib(May Allah be pleased with him)said : On the day of Uhud the Prophet (ﷺ) appointed `Abdullah bin Jubair as chief of the archers, and seventy among us were injured and martyred. On the day (of the battle) of Badr, the Prophet (ﷺ) and his companions had inflicted 140 casualties on the pagans, 70 were taken prisoners, and 70 were killed. Abu Sufyan said, This is a day of (revenge) for the day of Badr and the issue of war is undecided. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, Every slave of Allah who observes Saum (fasting) for a day in the Cause of Allah, Allah will keep his face from Hell-fire at a distance of seventy Autumns. [17] Ibn Hajr said: The word (Khareef ) Autumn is used in the hadith but it implies years. Autumn was chosen as it is the best season in the year. During this season, fruits are harvested and there are mild temperatures along with dry and humidity. 70 in this hadith refers to a vast amount.[18] Chapter 12: 70 Years for sinning

It was narrated from Al-Qasim bin Al-Mukhaimirah, from a man among the Companions of the Prophet that the Prophet said: Whoever kills a man from among Ahl Adh-Dhimmah.[2] he will not smell the fragrance of Paradise, and its fragrance may be detected from a distance of seventy years. [19] Al-Munawee said: 70 refers to the great distance from Jannah s fragrance and doesn t refer to 70 years exactly. When did the Shia Cult appear? The Shia sect appeared by a Jewish man named Abdullah bin Saba. He was a hypocrite who claimed he loved the Prophet s household and was fanatical towards Ali ibn Abee Talib.

Abdullah ibn Saba alleged that Ali was supposed to be the Caliph after the Prophet through a will. His fanaticism towards Ali lead him to raise Ali to the status of Lordship that only Allah has. 2. Why are the Shia called Rafidha? They are called Rafidha because a group of them went to Zayd ibn Ali ibnul Hussain and asked him to free himself from Abu Bakr and Umar in order to be with them, but he refused and told them that they are companions of his grandfather. For that answer they replied to him saying, We reject you and that is how they earned the name Rafidha. That s the claim from one of their Imams called Al-Majlisee; however there are other claims that explain how they earned their name. Some of those include the fact they reject the Caliph of Abu Bakr and Umar, and others say they reject the deen and Sunnah. 3. How many factions are the Rafidha divided into? The books of Aqeedah mention that the Rafidha have divided into more than 73 sects. Even the hadith about 73 sects, then the Rafidha says it applies to them being the saved the sect. 4. What are the Shia beliefs about Allah s Attributes? The Rafidha are the first to mention Tajseem. Ibn Taymiyyah mentioned some of the senior scholars of Rafidha; Hisham ibn Al-Hakam, Hisham ibn Salim, Yunus ibn Abdir Rahman and Abu Ja far. All of these scholars follow the doctrine of Jahmiyyah. The Rafidha say Allah isn t described with time, with place, with how, movement or anything connected to a body. The Rafidha denies Allah s descends, they say the Quran is created, and they deny Allah will be seen in the Next life.

5. What is the Shia s belief towards the Quran that Allah said He would protect? The Rafidha say the Quran that we read isn t the Quran that was revealed to Muhammad. They say the Quran has been changed. There are some verses missing and others have been deleted. The majority of Hadith scholars from the Shia believe that the wording the Quran has been distorted. 6. How do the Shia feel about the Prophet s companions. The Rafidha s belief about the companions is built on cursing, slander, and deeming them apostate. Al-Kulayni,a Shia scholar of hadith said, All of the companions of the Prophet(ﷺ)went apostate except for three;al-miqdad ibn Al-Aswad, Abu Dharr, and Salman Al-Farisee. 7. Can you mention some of the ways the Jews and the Shia resemble each other? Ibn Taymiyyah said : The test for the Jews and Rafidha is the Jews say only the Family of David can rule and likewise the Rafidah say only the children of Ali can rule. The Jews say there is no Jihad until the Dajjal emerges and the Rafidha say there isn t no Jihad until the Mahdi appears and voices calls out from the sky. The Jews and Rafidha both delay the prayer until the stars appear. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: My community will remain well, or he said: will remain on its natural condition, so long as it would not delay the evening prayer until the stars shine brightly just like a network.[1] The Jews distort and change the meaning of the Torah and similarly the Rafidha do the same with the Quran. The Jews and Rafidha don t allow wiping over footwear. The Jews hate Jibril and the Rafidha say he was wrong for

giving revelation to Muhammad. Additionally, the Rafidha follow the Christians in some aspects of their religion. They don t give their women Dowries for marriage and they believe in temporary marriages. 8. What do the Shia believe about their Imans? The Shia believe that their Imans are infallible and know the unseen. The Shia take whatever their Imams say is Halal to be Halal and whatever they say is Haraam is prohibited. 9. What do they Shia say about reincarnation? The Shia invented a Bid ah called reincarnation. Al-Mufeed said: The Imams all agree that reincarnation is a must for most of the deceased. 10. What is Taqiyyah? Taqiyyah according to Shia doctrine is saying or doing something contradictory to what you really believe in order to repel harm from yourself or your property,or to protect your honor. The Shia claim the (ﷺ) Prophet did it. They allege that when the leader of the hypocrites, Abdullah ibn Abee Salul died the Prophet offered his funeral prayer and Umar questioned him saying, Didn t Allah prohibit this action? Therefore the Prophet (ﷺ) responded to him saying, Do you know what you are talking about?, I asked Allah to fill his throat with fire, fill his grave with the fire and burn him in Hell. Look at how they lie on the Prophet! Is it even conceivable that the Prophet cursed a hypocrite and his companions asked

him for mercy?! 11. What is the blessed mud? The Shia believe that the dirt from the grave of Al-Hussain is a cure for everything. In fact some of the Shia say place the dirt from the grave of Al-Hussain in the mouths of your newborns. 12. How do the Shia feel about Ahlus Sunnah? The Rafidha s Aqeedah is the blood, wealth and life of Ahlus Sunnah are all Halal for them. What s more is the Shia think that the disbelief of Ahlus Sunnah is worse than the disbelief of the Jews and the Christians. They say the Jews and the Christians disbelief is at the origin, but Ahlus Sunnah is worse because they went apostate. 13. What do the Rafidha say about Mut a? Mut a is a temporary marriage that was abrogated; however the Shia believe that Mut a is one of the highest forms of faith. Fathullah Al-Kashanee said: Mut a is from our deen and whoever denies it rejects our religion. Moreover, rejecting it means a person is practicing a religion other than ours. The Children from a Mut a marriage is better than the children of a long term marriage. The person who rejects the Mut a is an infidel.[2] 14. What are the holy sites according to Shia doctrine? The Shia consider the graves of their Imans and leaders to be sacred. They say Kufa, Karabala, and Qum are sacred.. They say Karbala is more sacred the Mecca. 15. What is the Shias stance towards Muslim rulers around the World?

The Shia consider every leader or government that doesn t follow the 12 Imans is false. They say it s not permissible to obey a ruler who wasn t sanctioned by Allah, except through Taqiyyah. 16. What do the Shia think about the 10 th of Muharram and its virtue? The Shia hold parties, mock funerals, and wail in the streets. On the 10 th of Muharram they hold protests in the streets and at designated squares. They wear black as a sign of mourning for Al-Hussain. They believe the first 10 days of this month has virtue, so they beat themselves over their cheeks, backs and chests. May Allah guide us to follow the Sunnah and die upon him. I ask Allah to let people see falsehood for what it truly is and avoid it, and to recognize the truth as it is and follow it. 41 The women and men are equally the same in their prayers. Although it is recommended that women during their menstruation cycles sit in their musala in their homes during the times of the prayers and make thikr of Allah ;instead of praying.[3] fasts in Ramadhan Observes this obligatory fast except the days of her cycle.[4] If both spouses are engaged in intercourse at the time of the Athdan then stop immediately their fast is still correct.[5] Safeguards her chastity from all kind of unlawful sexual relations. This includes sex during menses, sodomy, masturbation and lesbianism. [6] If her husband is crazy and asks her to have sex during fasting hours of Ramadhan and she obeys him, then she must pay the Kafarrah. Obeys her husband Obedience towards the husband is mentioned lastly apart from the other obligations Allah has ordered.[7] Imam Al-Munawee said: She must obey him in the things that aren t prohibited by Allah. [8]

She will enter into Jannah from any door she wishes. She must also avoid the major sins or repent from them. [9] Al-Ameer As-San anee said: These are the basic righteous deeds that serve as means for her to enter Jannah; if she performs them and avoids Haraam acts. Issue Why wasn t Zakah and Hajj mentioned? Al- Munawee said: Because in most cases women are negligent of these acts.and as for Zakah, then in some cases women don t have money or the amount that makes Zakah a duty on her. Also, women aren t always able to get the sum needed to perfrom Hajj, therefore He (ﷺ) encouraged them to do the things that are obligatory for her to do which don t require money.
