In addition to these issues related to the discourse of the Qur Én, this course will also include the discussion on the views of scholars about how to benefit from the Qur Énic principles of discourse in one s interaction and dialogue with the different categories of the people. 1
2 Course Objectives Learning Outcomes This course aims: 1. To acquaint the students with the unique features of the Qur Énic discourse in its various styles, and its specific purposes. 2. To educate them about various methods of Qur Énic discourse, its rhetoric and semantics. 3. To equip them with the understanding of how to correctly interact with the Qur Énic discourse. Upon completion of this course the student will be able to: 1. Analyze the meaning, purpose, categories, and specific features of Qur Énic Discourse and its impact on the Muslim life and SharÊÑah transactions (C5,CS3) 2. Apply various styles of Qur Énic Discourses in interpreting Qur anic verses (A4) 3. Observe the different styles of the Qur Énic discourse in dialogue with people of other religious and cultural affiliations.
