3 Unit One Islam is my Deen

4 Lesson One Revision This is my Deen ( Inna alddeena AAinda Allahi alislamu. Allah says what means: The only [true] religion in the sight of Allah is Ul Islam. (Aal-Imran:19) Islam is a true Religion. Those who follow Islam are called Muslims. There are over a thousand million Muslims in the world. Islam began in Arabia where the Prophet was born. Makkah 8

5 Revision Muslims believe in One God who is Allah. Allah sent Prophet Mohammed to teach us Islam. Muslims believe in their Prophet Mohammed as Allah s messenger. Prophet Mohammed was the last prophet to be sent by Allah. Muslim s holy book is The Quran. Muslim s holiest place is Makkah. 9

6 Revision Remember Allah is One. Mohammed is Allah s messenger. Islam is a Deen (Religion). Quran is a Holy Book. Makkah is a Holy Place. 10

7 Revision Lesson Two This is my Deen THE PILLARS OF ISLAM To testify that there is no true God but Allah and that Mohammad s is His last Messenger. Ashadu an la ilaha illa Allah wa Ashadu anna Muhammadan abduhu wa rasuluh. Color the word Shahadah To perform prayers (5 times a day). 11

9 Revision To fast during the month of Ramadan. Color the word Sawm To perform Hajj. Color the word: Hajj 13

10 Lesson Three Revision This is my Quran 14 Angel Jibreel brought the holly book from Allah to Prophet Mohammad. This book is the Quran. Quran is Allah s words. We can read what Allah says in the Quran. We should learn what Allah says in the Quran and follow it. If we follow what Allah says in the Quran, we will be good Muslims. Allah sent the Quran in Arabic language. We should read the Quran in Arabic. Allah sent the Quran to Prophet Mohammad to teach us about Allah and Islam. The Quran was sent to the Prophet in 23 years.

12 Lesson Four Revision This is the Quran Surat Al-Qadr 16 Transliteration: (1)Inna anzalnahu fee laylati alqadri. (2)Wama adraka ma laylatu alqadri. (4)Tanazzalu almalaikatu waalrroohu feeha. (5)biithni rabbihim min kulli amrin. (6)Salamun hiya hatta matlaaai alfajri. 13 Revision What does the surah guide us to? 1- Allah has sent the Quran down in the night of Al-Qadr. 2- The night of Al-Qadr is better than a thousand months. 3- All that night, there is Peace and Goodness from Allah to Muslims. I am a Muslimah I can memorize Surat Al-Qadr 17

14 Lesson Five Revision This is my Deen The Qiblah The Qiblah is the direction of the Kaabah. Kaabah is in Makkah. Makkah is in Saudi Arabia. Muslims face the Qiblah while praying. 18

15 Revision Mosques are built in such a way that one side of the building faces the Qiblah. Muslims face the Qiblah while reading the Quran. Your teacher will show you the Qiblah. I am a Muslim I turn my face to the Qiblah when I pray or read the Quran 19

16 Lesson Six Revision Reading The Quran 20 These are my manners when I read the Quran: 1- I face the Qiblah when I read the Quran. 2- I should be clean. 3- My clothes should be clean. 4- The place where I read the Quran should be clean. 5- Before I read I say the Ta awwudh. Audhu billahi min Ash-Shaytan-ir-rajeem.

17 Revision And Tasmiyah: Bismi-llah ir-rahman ir-raheem Sadaqa Allah ul-adtheheem I am a Muslim Quran is a special book, so I treat it with care. I read the Quran everyday, so Allah will love me more. Quran was given in the Arabic language; I should learn how to read it in Arabic. Learn The Qiblah: is the direction of the Kaabah Ta awwudh: is to say (Owthzubillahi minash Shaytanir Rajeem) Tasmiyah: is to say (Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem) Sadaq Allahul Owthzeem: means The Great Allah has spoken the truth 21

18 Lesson Seven Revision This is Allah Al-Waahid (The One ) Al-Ahad (The Singular) Allah is forever One and has never and will never have another alongside Him. Allah al-waahid Allah has no second. Allah has no partner. Allah is al-ahad. Allah has no peer. Allah is al-waahid al-ahad. I am a Muslim 22 My Ilaah (God) is One Ilaah (God Allah) Allah is One and is Perfect in all ways.

19 Revision Lesson Eight This is my Dua Allah has created plants and animals. We can make our clothes from animal s skin. We can make our clothes from plants and trees. Allah has given us clothes. Clothes cover our bodies. Clothes keep us warm. Clothes protect us from rain and sun. Al-hamdulillah 23

20 Revision I am a Muslimah This is what I say when I get dressed: (Al-hamdulilahil-ladhi kasani ma uwari bihi Praise be to Allah who has given me clothing with which I cover my body and adorn myself in life.) 24
