Haq al Muslim There is so much rights of the Sisterhood in Muslim so that the Muslim society is strong. May Allah make us apply this even in a small scale. Haq al Muslim ala al Muslim 1. Haq al Muslim idza laqeetahu fa sallam alaih è If you meet her, must say SALAM. This unites the heart. Rasulullah said Don t you want me to tell you of things that if you do it, it will spread love between you. Afshu/spread salamu alaikum ie do not just make a salam to one but make salam to everybody. The Rasulullah also said, Before the Day of Judgement, there is salam called SALAM UL KHAASAH / special salam made only to people I know! = must not skip over ladies to give salam to those we know ONLY. BUT must give salam to ALL to create love. Hadith in Paradise there are rooms, transparent houses. Allah prepare special houses / rooms to those (i) who give food, (ii) who spread salam, (iii) praying while people are sleeping. ADAB IS SALAM / How to make salam : If you are coming, you should start saying salam. Be the one who start salam even in SMS. AFSHU/spread SALAM. Use TAHIYYAT ul ISLAM ie Assalamu alaikum. Not Hi!, etc. As salam is ISM from ASMA* Allah. When we say salam, that means peace, you are telling everyone that Allah is free from faults so you are praising Allah. And Allah will give you the peace. o If I say As salamu alaikum, I get 10 hasanat. o Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah è salam + special Mercy= 20 hasanat

2 o Assalamualaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuhu è salam + special mercy + barakaat = 30 hasanat o Assalamualaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuhu Wa maghfiratuhu è forgiveness = extra hasanat o DO NOT answer : 1. Wa alaikum! 2. Wa alaikum assalam wa rahmah! 3. One man came to Rasulullah saying Alaika salam, ya Rasulullah! Rasulullah said La takul / don t say Alaika salam!!! because this is greeting of the death!!!!! ALWAYS START WITH ASSALAMU ALAIKUM ( Some start with the reply & wrong one too alaika / alaikum as salam è TAHIYYATUL MAUTA ie for the dead 4. DO not answer Wa alaika / alaikum to Muslims è this is just to answer non Muslims 5. Don t start salam with non Muslim. Say other greeting Good morning o You enter & leave with Assalamualaikum wr wb wm o When separated while walking, give salam again once together again. o As Salam qabl Kalam / Salam before talking o When you enter a place that need to be quiet, say SALAM QUIETLY o Washroom do not reply Salam when in toilet. o When praying, do not answer SALAM o When friend ask you to pass her salam to another friend, carry the salam to the friend amanah o You have to repeat 3 times when no one answer. If no one answer, do not repeat anymore. Good to be first one to give salam ( recommended to be 1st one; but not obligatory ). o When someone gives salam. OBLIGATORY/ WAAJIB to answer (because for ALLAH) with the better / best. 2. IJAABAT IL DA WAH

3 * If a friend invites you, you must accept for the sake of Allah UNLESS you know there is haram in the function eg music, free mixing. Do not accept the invitation for other niat like not wanting your friend hurt. Rights of Allah come first so you have a valid reason to turn down the invitation. In times of Rasulullah, there is no social function regularly like now coffee morning, brunch, lunch, tea, lunch. Supper you cannot exceed the limit. Once in a while is OK. If a gathering of non practicing Muslims, you go for the sake of Allah, but leave quickly. Always see who you are sitting with è if they are of dunia, arrogant, then you want to guard yourself. You want to do da wah too so depend on situation. Silatul Rahim then ask Allah for guidance & make istikharah. They may have doubt or may make you more jealous. 3. Nasihah : You will give sincere advice for the sake of Allah when your friend seeks your advice * Advice is truthfully given * Advice seeking Allah Pleasure not to please her eg that school has good curriculum but not good for the children because no Islamic studies at all. * The right advice does not depend on how much knowledge you have. The advice is with hiqmah/wisdom because wrong advice can create problems. Flee to Allah to give good advice that is good for her * When a friend seeks advice, do not expose her to everybody else. * Do not give advice in front of people lest she is embarrassed. Advice secretly / privately. 4. Sneezing : * Hadith of Rasulullah pbuh : Allah loves sneezing & He hates yawning. * If we sneeze, we must say Alhamdulillah & the ones who hear us must say Yarhamukallah. Then whoever hear this must then reply / Yahdiikumullahu wa yuslihu baalakum

4 (Yawning : Supress the yawn or close your hand over your mouth. Yawning at dars is worse because angels are writing. If you open your mouth while yawning, satan laughs at you. Someone yawning looks lazy, heedless.) When one person sneezes, * SUNNAH KIFAYAT to answer ( one answer is enough) but the best / afdhal is if everyone answer with Yarhamukallah to get reward. The Jew went to see Rasulullah & pretend to sneeze so that Rasulullah will say Yarhamukallah. These are all manners & no Deen has better manners than Islam è Salman al Faarisi said Islam even taught us how to go to the bathroom. No other religion teaches about sneezing. They just say sneezing is good for your body. * Only say Yarhamukallah maximum 3 times to a person with multiple sneezes. More than 3 x, say Innaka mazkuum / You are having a flu. * When Allah created Adam & blew his soul in him, Adam sneezed saying ALHAMDULILLAH. Allah replied YARHAMUKALLAH. Then Allah tell Adam to give salam to malaikat with ASSALAMU ALAIKUM. Adam gave salam, and the angels said HAADZIHI TAHIYYATUKA wa TAHIYYATU BANIIKA / this is your greeting & the greeting of all your children è this is since ADAM s time so not just for Ummah of Prophet Mohammad s.a.w. 5. Our friend s right when she is sick * When she is sick, we should visit her. Virtues of visiting the sick : ** 70,000 angels will make doa for us *** Allah is with the maridh/sick by His Knwoledge, by Seeing,etc **** The person is drowned in Allah s Rahmah. When you visit, you will be included in the Mercy of Allah. *** You wlll have Paradise * Adab ziyyarat ul maridh / Manners of visiting the sick ** Good niat intention made for Allah only and I want the above rewards (i) (iv) *** Not for the sake of people She don t visit me, so I don t visit her!! Sometimes you want to visit he sick, but we delay because did not buy gift yet **** Choose a good time not nap time *** Make it a short visit

5 ** Visiting even if small child. Even if she is in coma. *** Rasulullah pbuh visited a Jewish boy who was sick & told him about Islam. The boy looked at the father Can I embrace Islam?. The father said Yes. Obey Abel Qaasm / Mohamad salallahu alaihi wassallam The boy embraced Islam before death. **** Tell the sick about reward of the patient, of sabr. DO not depress them è Do not tell her because of your sins, you are sick!! Do not tell news of grave, Hell fire. ***** Do ruqya on her, doa on them. è Good impact on the sick 6. DEATH of a friend Men must witness/follow the jenazah. (Not for women to witness jenazah.). And if he does solat ul Jenazah / funeral prayer, he get 2 rewards as huge as the Mount of Uhud. Women can do this in Masjid Al Haram Make ISTIGHFAR for them. When someone dies, Rasulullah said : SALULAHU TAHBIT / Ask Allah to keep him firm ( because questioning starts now) Remember him in good make doa, Take care of his children buy for them, visit at Eid
