Suggested Study Program -> - this program is open to all seekers of correct knowledge - no matter the present level of knowledge, every participant is encouraged to do the studies starting at level one - a person might be confident he/she would pass a test right now on a topic but review of information has many benefits, including correcting misinformation and reminding us of what we thought we knew but had forgotten. Audio -> - all the lectures are on Study -> - students either work individually - or make their own study group 4. Reminder -> - taking notes facilitate memorization of important points of a lecture 5. Testing -> - one test per month, starting after Ramadan in shaa Allaah - each test covers one of the three divisions of each level - three tests per level, so three months to complete a level - each student is responsible to obtain questions for each test 5

Details about taking a test -> The tentative method is- -on last Friday of each month, questions are given in class - the following Thursday is the limit date for doing each test - answers are to be sent to info@understand-islam.net - please label the precisely, example -> Level - Test - please sign with same ID you use for attending class - please sign also with your real name An alternative method of making Exams available on the site is under preparation. The final implementation of either method will be announced in shaa Allaah. 7. Review of latest test -> - done in class on the first Friday of each month 8. Daily classes on present topics -> - regular attendance is expected from each participant - please remember to use the same ID to attend daily classes 9. Registration -> - sisters register with umm_a7med - brothers register with Submitter to Allah 0. Eligibility -> - a new seeker of correct knowledge can join at any time - commitment to do one's best to keep up with the studying - remember to ask for assistance from those able to help you ========== Qur-aan Study and Memorization. commit to learn a certain minimum of verses or lines daily. know the overall meaning in your own language. read the accompanying tafseer and take notes 4. {even if you have a teacher}, record your own recitation to check for errors BEFORE memorizing one verse or one line 5. Why learn to read Qur-aan in Arabic? -> - Qur-aan was revealed in Arabic - transliteration is not Arabic, nothing can replace Arabic script - don't rush when learning letters /signs and sounds of letters - learning a surah directly from Arabic script cannot { and should not} happen before acquiring a minimum proficiency in reading Arabic correctly - some errors in reading are serious as they change the meaning of the Qur-aan and are difficult to correct after they are memorized 7. Going ahead of the schedule for Qur-aan study -> - at any time, do not wait for the program to catch up with your present level of study and memorization - the one who already did the study and memorization for one level should move on to the next level right away - the one who finished juz 'amma should also commit to learn a minimum of verses or lines everyday and study another juz - remember to continue to know the overall meaning in your own language and do this for every surah you are studying - remember to continue to read the tafseer of the surah you are presently learning ======================================================================= Jazaakum Allaahu Khairan.. 7
