1 Dua of Imam Husain (as) for the Day of Arafah The supplicatory prayer of Imam al-husayn (`a), the Chief of Martyrs, on the `Arafat Day is one of the famous prayers. Bishr and Bashir, the sons of Ghalib al-asadi, narrated that they, once, accompanied Imam al-husayn (`a) at the `Arafat Night when he left his tent with submission and reverence. He walked slowly until he, accompanied by a group of his household, sons, and servants, stopped at the left side of Mount `Arafat and turned his face towards the Holy Ka`bah. He then raised his hands (for supplication) to the level of his face, just like a poor man begging food, and said: ث غ ٱ ٱ ش ؽ ٱ ش ؽ ٤ In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. ا ف ػ ٠ ؾ ذ آ ؾ ذ O Allah, (please do) send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, ا ؾ ذ ٱ ز ١ ٤ ظ و ن بئ د اك غ Praise be to Allah Whose determination cannot be repelled by anything, ال ؼ ي بئ ب غ Whose gifts cannot be stopped by anything,

2 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 2 ال ق ؼ ف غ ف ب غ and Whose making cannot be resembled by the making of anyone. ٱ غ اد ٱ اع غ He is the All-magnanimous, the All-liberal. ك ي ش اع بط ٱ ج ذ ائ غ He originated the genus of the wonderfully created things ار و ث ؾ ز ٱ ق بئ غ and He perfected the made things by His wisdom. ال ر خ ل ٠ ػ ٤ ٱ ي ال ئ غ All growing things cannot be hidden from Him ال ر ن ٤ غ ػ ذ ٱ د ائ غ and all things deposited with Him shall never be wasted. ع بص ١ ف ب غ He is the Repayer on every deed, س ا ٣ ؼ ه ب غ the Enricher of every satisfied one, س اؽ م بس ع

3 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 3 the Merciful toward every suppliant, ض ٱ بك غ and the Revealer of the benefits ٱ ز بة ٱ غ ب غ ث ٱ س ٱ غ بى غ and the All-comprehensive Book with the glaring light. ذ ػ اد ع ب غ He is also the Hearer of prayers, ش ث بد د اك غ the Warder-off of anguishes, ذ س ع بد س اك غ the Raiser of ranks, غ ج بث ش ح ه ب غ and the Suppressor of the tyrants. ك ال ئ ؿ ٤ ش There is no god other than Him ال ؽ ٢ ء ٣ ؼ ذ and there is nothing equivalent to Him ٤ ظ ض ؽ ٢ ء

4 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 4 and nothing like a likeness of Him, ٱ غ ٤ غ ٱ ج ق ٤ ش and He is the All-hearing, the All-seeing, ٱ ي ٤ ق ٱ خ ج ٤ ش the All-gentle, the All-aware, ػ ٠ ؽ ٢ ء ه ذ ٣ ش and He has power over all things. ا ئ ٢ اس ؿ ت ئ ٤ ي O Allah, I willingly desire for You اؽ ذ ث ٱ ش ث ث ٤ خ ي and I testify to the Lordship of You, و ش ا ث ب ي س ث ٢ confessing that You are verily my Lord ا ئ ٤ ي ش د ١ and to You shall be my return. ا ث ز ذ ار ٢ ث ؼ ز ي You had begun bestowing on me ه ج ا ا ؽ ٤ ئب ز سا

5 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 5 before I was anything worth mentioning, خ و ز ٢ ٱ ز ش اة and You created me from dust. ص اع ز ٢ ٱالف ال ة You then put me up in the loins, آ ب ش ٣ ت ٱ (making me) saved from vicissitudes of time, ٱخ ز الف ٱ ذ س ٱ غ ٤ and change of ages and years. ك اص ظ بػ ب ف ت ئ ٠ س ؽ I was moving from a loin to a womb ك ٢ ر و بد ٱال ٣ ب ٱ بم ٤ خ throughout the passage of the past days ٱ و ش ٱ خ ب ٤ خ and the ancient ages; ر خ ش ع ٢ ش اك ز ي ث ٢ as You have not taken me out (to this world) on account of Your sympathy to me,

6 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 6 ي ل ي ٢ Your kindness to me, ئ ؽ غ ب ي ئ ٢ and Your compassion to me ك ٢ د خ ائ خ ٱ ل ش in the government of the heads of unbelief ٱ ز ٣ و ن ٱ ػ ذ ى who breached their covenant with You ز ث ٱ س ع ي and denied Your messengers. ي اخ ش ع ز ٢ ز ١ ع ج ن ٢ ٱ ذ However, You took me out on account of the guidance that You have already known about me ٱ ز ١ ٣ غ ش ر ٢ and You have made easy the way to it ك ٤ ا ؾ بر ٢ and You have brought me up in it. ه ج ر ي س ؤ ك ذ ث ٢

7 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 7 Even before that, You had compassion on me, ث غ ٤ ف ؼ ي through Your excellent conferral ع اث ؾ ؼ ي and Your affluent bestowals. ٠ ٣ ك ٱث ز ذ ػ ذ خ و ٢ ٢ So, You fashioned my creation from semen that gushed forth اع ز ٢ ك ٢ ظ بد ص ال س and put me up in triple darkness ث ٤ ؾ د ع ذ among flesh, blood, and skin. ر ؾ ذ ٢ خ و ٢ You have not made me witness my creation, ر غ ؼ ئ ٢ ؽ ٤ ئب ا ش ١ and You have not referred any part of my creation to me. ص اخ ش ع ز ٢ ز ١ ع ج ن ٢ ٱ ذ You then took me out on account of the guidance that You have already known about me

8 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 8 ئ ٠ ٱ ذ ٤ ب ر ب ب ع ٣ ب to the world, perfect and in sound health. ؽ ل ظ ز ٢ ك ٢ ٱ ذ ى ل ال ف ج ٤ ب You have safeguarded me in the cradle as small child. س ص ه ز ٢ ٱ ز اء ج ب ش ٣ ب You have provided me with wholesome milk as food. ػ ي ل ذ ػ ٢ ه ة ٱ ؾ ام You have made the hearts of the nursemaids tender. ل ز ٢ ٱال بد ٱ ش اؽ You have given me into the charge of merciful mothers. بر ٢ ى اس م ٱ غ ب You have saved me from the visits of the Jinn. ع ز ٢ ٱ ض ٣ بد ح ٱ و ق ب You have delivered me from increase and decrease. ك ز ؼ ب ٤ ذ ٣ ب س ؽ ٤ ٣ ب س ؽ So, Exalted be You, O All-merciful, O All-beneficent. ؽ ز ٠ ئ ر ا ٱع ز ذ بى وب ث ٱ ال When I commenced (my life) by pronouncing words,

9 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 9 ار ذ ػ ٢ ع اث ؾ ٱإل ؼ ب You perfected for me the affluent bestowals, س ث ٤ ز ٢ ص ائ ذا ك ٢ ػ ب and brought me up with an increase every year. ؽ ز ٠ ئ ر ا ٱ ز ذ ك ي ش ر ٢ When my creation was accomplished, ٱػ ز ذ ذ ش ر ٢ and my power became straight, ا ع ج ذ ػ ٢ ؽ غ ز ي You put me under the obligation of Your Claim, ث ب ا ز ٢ ؼ ش ك ز ي which is that You inspired me with recognition of You س ػ ز ٢ ث ؼ غ بئ ت ؽ ز ي and alarmed me by the wonders of Your wisdom, ا ٣ و ظ ز ٢ ب ر س اد ك ٢ ع بئ ي اس م ي and You aroused in me that which You created in Your heavens and lands, ث ذ ائ غ خ و ي

10 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 10 which is the excellent creation of You. ج ز ٢ ؾ ش ى ر ش ى You attracted my attentions to thank and mention You. ا ع ج ذ ػ ٢ ى بػ ز ي ػ ج بد ر ي You made obligatory on me to obey and worship You. ك ز ٢ ب ع بء د ث س ع ي You made me understand that with which Your Apostles came. ٣ غ ش د ٢ ر و ج ش م بر ي You made easy for me to find agreeable Your pleasure. ذ ػ ٢ ك ٢ ع ٤ غ ر ي You bestowed upon me with the favor of all that, ث ؼ ي ي ل ي out of Your aid and Your gentleness. ص ئ ر خ و ز ٢ خ ٤ ش ٱ ض ش As You created me from the best of soil, ر ش ك ٣ ب ٢ ئ ٢ ؼ خ د اخ ش You, my God, have not wanted for me to have a certain favor (and to be deprived of another)

11 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 11 س ص ه ز ٢ ا اع ٱ ؼ بػ and You therefore provided me with the various kinds of living ف ف ٱ ش ٣ بػ and types of wealth, ث ي ٱ ؼ ظ ٤ ٱالػ ظ ػ ٢ out of Your great and grand conferral upon me, ئ ؽ غ ب ي ٱ و ذ ٣ ئ ٢ and Your eternal kindness to me. ؽ ز ٠ ئ ر ا ار ذ ػ ٢ ع ٤ غ ٱ ؼ As You perfected for me all the graces ف ش ك ذ ػ ٢ ٱ و and warded off all misfortunes, ٣ ؼ ي ع ٢ ع ش ار ٢ ػ ٤ ي my ignorance of You and challenge have not stopped You ا د ز ٢ ئ ٠ ب ٣ و ش ث ٢ ئ ٤ ي from showing me that which takes me near to You, ك و ز ٢ ب ٣ ض ل ٢ ذ ٣ ي

12 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 12 and from leading me to that which grants me proximity to You. ك ا د ػ ر ي اع ج ز ٢ So, if I pray You, You will respond to me; ئ ع ب ز ي اػ ي ٤ ز ٢ and if I beg You, You will give me; ئ اى ؼ ز ي ؽ ش ر ٢ and if I obey You, You will thank me; ئ ؽ ش ر ي ص د ر ٢ and if I thank You, You will give me more. ر ي ئ بال ال ؼ ي ػ ٢ All that is completion of Your favors for me, ئ ؽ غ ب ي ئ ٢ and Your kindness to me. ك غ ج ؾ ب ي ع ج ؾ ب ي So, all glory be to You; all glory be to You. ج ذ ١ ؼ ٤ ذ You are verily Originator and Reproducer (of the creation)

13 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 13 ؽ ٤ ذ غ ٤ ذ and worthy of all praise and full of all glory. ر و ذ ع ذ اع بؤ ى Holy be Your Names ػ ظ ذ آالؤ ى as Your bounties are so immeasurable. ؼ ي ٣ ب ئ ٢ اؽ ق ٢ ػ ذ دا ر شا ك ب ١ Which of Your favors, O my God, can I count in numbers and examples? ا ا ١ ػ ي ب ٣ بى اه ث ب ؽ شا Or which of Your gifts can I thank properly? س ة ٣ ب ٢ ا ض ش ا ٣ ؾ ق ٤ ب ٱ ؼ بد They are, O my Lord, too numerous to be counted by counters ا ٣ ج ؾ ػ ب ث ب ٱ ؾ بك ظ or to be realized by memorizers. ص ب ف ش ك ذ د س اد ػ ٢ Moreover, that which You have warded off and repelled, ا ٱ ن ش ٱ ن ش اء

14 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 14 O Allah, from (the various kinds of) harm and mischief ا ض ش ب ظ ش ٢ ٱ ؼ بك ٤ خ ٱ غ ش اء is more than that which came to me from wellbeing and joy. ا ب اؽ ذ ٣ ب ئ ٢ ث ؾ و ٤ و خ ئ ٣ ب ٢ And I bear witness, O my God, with my true belief, ػ و ذ ػ ض بد ٣ و ٢ ٤ and the fortitude of the determinations of my conviction خ ب ف ش ٣ ؼ ر ؽ ٤ ذ ١ and the purity of my open belief in Your Oneness ث بى م ٤ ش ١ and the essence of the secret of my conscience, ػ ال ئ ن غ بس ١ س ث ق ش ١ and the ties of the canals of the light of my sight, اع بس ٣ ش ف ل ؾ خ ع ج ٢ ٤ and the lines of my forehead خ ش م غ بس ة ل غ ٢ and the hallows of the courses of my breath, خ ز اس ٣ ق بس ػ ش ٢ ٤

15 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 15 and the (nasal) cavities of my nose, غ بس ة ف بؿ ع ؼ ٢ and the courses of the meatus of my hearing, ب م ذ اى ج و ذ ػ ٤ ؽ ل ز ب ١ and whatever my two lips hide and cover up, ؽ ش بد ل ظ غ ب ٢ and the motions of the vocalization of my tongue, ش ص ؽ ي ك ٢ ك ٢ and the socket of the palate of my mouth and jaw, بث ذ ام ش اع ٢ and the matrices of my dents, غ بؽ ي ؼ ٢ ؾ ش ث ٢ and the tasting of my food and my drink, ؽ ب خ ا سا ع ٢ and the carrier of my skill, ث ع ك بس ؽ ؽ ج بئ ػ و ٢ and the tube of the tissues of my neck ب ٱؽ ز ػ ٤ ر ب س ف ذ س ١

16 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 16 and what is included by the cloak of my chest, ؽ بئ ؽ ج ر ٢ ٤ and the carriers of the cord of my aorta, ٤ به ؽ غ بة ه ج ٢ and the cords of the pericardium of my heart, اك الر ؽ اؽ ٢ ج ذ ١ and the pieces of the retinues of my liver, ب ؽ ر ؽ ش اع ٤ ق ام ال ػ ٢ and that which is included by the cartilages of my ribs, ؽ و بم ل بف ٢ and the cavities of my joints, ه ج ل ػ ا ٢ and the interactings of my organisms, اى ش اف ا ب ٢ and the extremes of my fingertips, ؾ ٢ د ٢ and my flesh, and my blood, ؽ ؼ ش ١ ث ؾ ش ١

17 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 17 and my hair, and my skin, ػ ق ج ٢ ه ق ج ٢ and my nerve, and my sinews, ػ ظ ب ٢ خ ٢ ػ ش ه ٢ and my bones, and my brain, and my veins, ع ٤ غ ع اس ؽ ٢ and all of my organs, ب ٱ ز غ ظ ػ ٠ ر ي ا ٣ ب س م بػ ٢ and that which was pieced together during the days of my suckling, ب اه ذ ٱالس ك ٢ and whatever of my body that the ground carries, ٣ و ظ ز ٢ ٢ ع ٢ and my sleeping, and my wakefulness, and my motionlessness, ؽ ش بد س ػ ٢ ع غ د ١ and the movements of my bowing and prostration; ا ؽ ب ذ ٱع ز ذ د ذ ٱالػ ق بس

18 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 18 (by all that I bear witness) that if I try my best and strive throughout all ages ٱالؽ و بة ػ ش ر ب and all times, if I live them, ا اؤ د ١ ؽ ش اؽ ذ ح ا ؼ ي to thank properly only one of Your favors, ب ٱع ز ي ؼ ذ ر ي I will not be able to do that, ئ ال ث ي ٱ ع ت ػ ٢ ث ؽ ش ى except through a favor of You, which also requires me to thank You for it, اث ذا ع ذ ٣ ذا once again with new thanking ص بء ى بس كب ػ ز ٤ ذا and with praise that is newly acquired and newly prepared. اع ؽ ش ف ذ True is this! And if I try hard, ا ب ٱ ؼ بد ا ب ي as well as the counters from Your creatures,

19 ٱ Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 19 ا ؾ ق ٢ ذ ئ ؼ ب ي to count the scope of Your favoring, ع ب ل آ ل both the past and the present, ب ؽ ق ش ب ػ ذ دا we shall never be able to calculate it in number, ال اؽ ق ٤ ب ا ذا or count it in time. ٤ بد ا ٠ ر ي Too far is this! How can it be! ا ذ ٱ خ ج ش ك ٢ ز بث ي ٱ بى ن While it is You Who have informed in Your rational Book ٱ ق بد م ج أ ر ؾ ق ب and true news: ئ ر ؼ ذ ٱ ؼ خ ا ال And if you count Allah's favors, you will not be able to number them. ف ذ م ز بث ي ٱ ئ ج بؤ ى

20 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 20 True is Your Book, O Allah, and Your informing. ث ذ ا ج ٤ بؤ ى س ع ي Your Prophets and Messengers have conveyed ب ا ض ذ ػ ٤ ؽ ٤ ي what You revealed to them, from Your Revelation, ؽ ش ػ ذ ث د ٣ ي and what You have made plain for them and through them Your religion. ؿ ٤ ش ا ٣ ب ٢ ئ ٢ Nevertheless, O my God, اؽ ذ ث غ ذ ١ ع ذ ١ I bear witness by my ultimate possibility and my diligence ج ؾ ى به ز ٢ ع ؼ ٢ and the scope of my vigor and my capacity, اه إ ب ه ب and I say with full faith and conviction: ا ؾ ذ ٱ ز ١ ٣ ز خ ز ذا All praise be to Allah Who has not taken to Himself a son

21 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 21 ك ٤ س صب to be inherited, ٣ ؽ ش ٣ ي ك ٢ and Who does not have a partner in His kingdom, ك ٤ ن بد ك ٤ ب ٱث ز ذ ع to oppose Him in what He fashions, ٱ ز ال ٢ and Who does not have a helper to save Him from disgrace, ك ٤ ش ك ذ ك ٤ ب ف غ to help Him in what He makes. ك غ ج ؾ ب ع ج ؾ ب So, glory be to Him, glory be to Him. ب ك ٤ ب آ خ ئ ال ٱ ل غ ذ ر ب ر ل ي ش ر ب If there had been in them any gods except Allah, they would both have certainly been in a state of disorder and destruction. ع ج ؾ ب ٱ ٱ اؽ ذ ٱالؽ ذ ٱ ق ذ All glory be to Allah, the One, the Only One, the Besought of all,

22 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 22 ٱ ز ١ ٣ ذ ٣ ذ Who begets not nor is He begotten, ٣ ل ا اؽ ذ and there is none like Him. ا ؾ ذ ؽ ذا ٣ ؼ بد ؽ ذ الئ ز ٱ و ش ث ٤ All praise be to Allah praise that is equal to the praise of His Favorite Angels, ا ج ٤ بئ ٱ ش ع ٤ and His missioned Prophets. ف ٠ ٱ ػ ٠ خ ٤ ش ر May Allah send blessings to His Select, ؾ ذ خ بر ٱ ج ٤ ٤ Muhammad, the Seal of Prophets, آ ٱ ي ٤ ج ٤ ٱ ي ب ش ٣ ٱ خ ق ٤ ع and upon his Household, the pure, immaculate, and wellchosen, and may He send benedictions upon them. The Imam (`a) then besought Almighty Allah so earnestly that his eyes shed tears. He then said:

23 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 23 ا ٱع ؼ ٢ اخ ؾ بى ب ٢ اس اى O Allah, (please) make me fear You as if I can see You. اع ؼ ذ ٢ ث ز و اى Make happy by fearing You. ال ر ؾ و ٢ ث ؼ ق ٤ ز ي Do not make me unhappy by disobeying You. خ ش ٢ ك ٢ ه ن بئ ي Choose for me through Your decree. ث بس ى ٢ ك ٢ ه ذ س ى Bless me through Your determination, اؽ ت ؽ ز ٠ ال ر ؼ غ ٤ ب ا خ ش د so that I will not long for hastening that which You have delayed ال ر بخ ٤ ش ب ػ غ ذ or delaying that which You would hasten. ا ٱع ؼ ؿ ب ١ ك ٢ ل غ ٢ O Allah, (please) make my richness in my conscience, ٱ ٤ و ٤ ك ٢ ه ج ٢

24 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 24 conviction in my hear, ٱإل خ ال ؿ ك ٢ ػ ٢ sincerity in my deeds, ٱ س ك ٢ ث ق ش ١ light in my sight, ٱ ج ق ٤ ش ح ك ٢ د ٢ ٣ and insight in my religion. ز ؼ ٢ ث غ اس ؽ ٢ Make me find enjoyment in my organs. ٱع ؼ ع ؼ ٢ ث ق ش ١ ٱ اس ص ٤ ٢ Make my hearing and my sight sound until I am inherited. ٱ ق ش ٢ ػ ٠ ظ ٢ Grant me victory over him who wrongs me, اس ٢ ك ٤ ص بس ١ أس ث ٢ make me witness my avenge and objective in him, اه ش ث ز ي ػ ٢ ٤ and make it the delight of my eye. ا ٱ ؾ ق ش ث ز ٢

25 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 25 O Allah, (please) relieve my agony, ٱع ز ش ػ س ر ٢ conceal my flaws, ٱؿ ل ش ٢ خ ي ٤ ئ ز ٢ forgive my sin, ٱخ غ ب ؽ ٤ ي ب ٢ drive away my devil from me, ك ي س ب ٢ redeem my mortgage, ٱع ؼ ٣ ب ٢ ئ ٢ ٱ ذ س ع خ ٱ ؼ ٤ ب and decide for me, O my God, the supreme rank ك ٢ ٱ ٥ خ ش ح ٱال ٠ in the Hereafter and in the former (life). ا ي ٱ ؾ ذ ب خ و ز ٢ O Allah, all praise be to You for You have created me ك غ ؼ ز ٢ ع ٤ ؼب ث ق ٤ شا and made me hear and see. ي ٱ ؾ ذ ب خ و ز ٢

26 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 26 All praise be to You for you have created me ك غ ؼ ز ٢ خ وب ع ٣ ب س ؽ خ ث ٢ and made my creation perfect, on account of Your having mercy on me, ه ذ ذ ػ خ و ٢ ؿ ٤ ب and You could dispense with creating me. س ة ث ب ث ش ار ٢ ك ؼ ذ ذ ك ي ش ر ٢ O my Lord, as You gave rise to me and perfected my creation; س ة ث ب ا ؾ بر ٢ ك بؽ غ ذ ف س ر ٢ O my Lord, as You originated me and did well my form; س ة ث ب اؽ غ ذ ئ ٢ ك ٢ ل غ ٢ ػ بك ٤ ز ٢ O my Lord, as You conferred favors on me and granted me wellbeing in my self; س ة ث ب بر ٢ ك و ز ٢ O my Lord, as You saved me and led me to success; س ة ث ب ا ؼ ذ ػ ٢ ك ذ ٣ ز ٢ O my Lord, as You bestowed favors on me and guided me; س ة ث ب ا ٤ ز ٢ خ ٤ ش اػ ي ٤ ز ٢

27 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 27 O my Lord, as You presented me and gave me from every good; س ة ث ب اى ؼ ز ٢ ع و ٤ ز ٢ O my Lord, as you fed me and watered me; س ة ث ب اؿ ٤ ز ٢ اه ٤ ز ٢ O my Lord, as You enriched me and gave me to hold; س ة ث ب اػ ز ٢ اػ ض ص ر ٢ O my Lord, as You helped me and braced me; س ة ث ب ا ج غ ز ٢ ع ز ش ى ٱ ق بك ٢ O my Lord, as you clothed me from Your pure cover ٣ غ ش د ٢ ف ؼ ي ٱ بك ٢ and made easy for me Your adequate making, ف ػ ٠ ؾ ذ آ ؾ ذ so, (please) send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, اػ ٢ ػ ٠ ث ائ ن ٱ ذ س help me against calamities of ages ف ش ف ٱ ٤ ب ٢ ٱال ٣ ب and changes of nights and days,

28 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 28 غ ٢ ا ا ٱ ذ ٤ ب rescue me from the horrors of this world ش ث بد ٱ ٥ خ ش ح and the anguishes of the Hereafter, ٱ ل ٢ ؽ ش ب ٣ ؼ ٱ ظ ب ك ٢ ٱالس ك and save me from the evils of what the wrongdoers do in the earth. ا ب اخ بف ك ٱ ل ٢ O Allah, as to what I anticipate, (please) save me (from it). ب اؽ ز س ك و ٢ As to what I watch out, (please) protect me (against it). ك ٢ ل غ ٢ د ٢ ٣ ك ٱؽ ش ع ٢ Safeguard me in my soul and religion, ك ٢ ع ل ش ١ ك ٱؽ ل ظ ٢ watch over me in my journeys, ك ٢ ا ٢ ب ٢ ك ٱخ ل ٢ be in charge of my family members and properties during my absence,

29 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 29 ك ٢ ب س ص ه ز ٢ ك ج بس ى ٢ bless me in that which You provide as sustenance, ك ٢ ل غ ٢ ك ز ٢ make me see myself as humble, ك ٢ اػ ٤ ٱ بط ك ؼ ظ ٢ make people see me as great, ؽ ش ٱ غ ٱإل ظ ك غ ٢ keep me sound from the evils of the Jinn and people, ث ز ث ٢ ك ال ر ل ن ؾ ٢ do not disclose me because of my sins, ث غ ش ٣ ش ر ٢ ك ال ر خ ض ٢ do not disgrace me because of the secret side (of myself), ث ؼ ٢ ك ال ر ج ز ٢ do not try me in my deeds, ؼ ي ك ال ر غ ج ٢ do not deprive me of Your bounties, ئ ٠ ؿ ٤ ش ى ك ال ر ٢ and do not refer me to anyone other than You.

30 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 30 ئ ٢ ئ ٠ ر ٢ To whom do You entrust me? ئ ٠ ه ش ٣ ت ك ٤ و ي ؼ ٢ To a relative, and he will rupture my relation with him! ا ئ ٠ ث ؼ ٤ ذ ك ٤ ز غ ٢ Or to a strange, and he will glower at me! ا ئ ٠ ٱ غ ز ن ؼ ل ٤ ٢ Or to those who deem me weak! ا ذ س ث ٢ ٤ ي ا ش ١ While You are my Lord and the master of my affairs! اؽ ئ ٤ ي ؿ ش ث ز ٢ ث ؼ ذ د اس ١ I complain to You about my alienation and my foreignness ا ٢ ػ ٠ ز ا ش ١ and my ignominy in the eyes of him whom You have given domination over me. ئ ٢ ك ال ر ؾ ػ ٢ ؿ ن ج ي So, O my God, do not make Your wrath come upon me. ك ا ر ؿ ن ج ذ ػ ٢ ك ال اث ب ٢ ع اى

31 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 31 If You are not wrathful with me, then I care for nothing save You. ع ج ؾ ب ي ؿ ٤ ش ا ػ بك ٤ ز ي ا ع غ ٢ All glory be to You; yet, Your granting me wellbeing is more favorable for me. ك بع ب ي ٣ ب س ة ث س ع ي So, I beseech You, O my Lord, in the name of the Light of Your Face ٱ ز ١ اؽ ش ه ذ ٱالس ك ٱ غ ب اد to which the earth and the heavens have shone, ؾ ل ذ ث ٱ ظ بد by which all darkness has been uncovered, ف ؼ ث ا ش ٱال ٤ ٱ ٥ خ ش ٣ and by which the affairs of the past and the coming generations are made right, ا ال ر ٤ ز ٢ ػ ٠ ؿ ن ج ي (please) do not cause me to die while You are wrathful with me ال ر ض ث ٢ ع خ ي ي and do not inflict on me Your rage.

32 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 32 ي ٱ ؼ ز ج ٠ ي ٱ ؼ ز ج ٠ You have the right to scold; You have the right to scold; ؽ ز ٠ ر ش م ٠ ه ج ر ي until You are pleased (with me) before that. ال ئ ئ ال ا ذ There is no god save You; س ة ٱ ج ذ ٱ ؾ ش ا Lord of the Holy City, ٱ ؾ ؼ ش ٱ ؾ ش ا the Holy Monument, ٱ ج ٤ ذ ٱ ؼ ز ٤ ن and the Ancient House ٱ ز ١ اؽ ز ٱ ج ش خ that You have encompassed with blessing ع ؼ ز بط ا ب and made security for people. ٣ ب ػ ل ب ػ ػ ظ ٤ ٱ ز ة ث ؾ O He Who pardoned the grand sins by His forbearance!

33 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 33 ٣ ب اع ج ؾ ٱ ؼ بء ث ل ن O He Who bestowed bounties by His favoring! ٣ ب اػ ي ٠ ٱ غ ض ٣ ث ش O He Who gave in abundance by His generosity! ٣ ب ػ ذ ر ٢ ك ٢ ؽ ذ ر ٢ O my means in my hardship! ٣ ب ف بؽ ج ٢ ك ٢ ؽ ذ ر ٢ O my companion in my loneliness! ٣ ب ؿ ٤ بص ٢ ك ٢ ش ث ز ٢ O my relief in my agony! ٣ ب ٢ ٤ ك ٢ ؼ ز ٢ O my Benefactor in my amenities! ٣ ب ئ ٢ ئ آث بئ ٢ O my God and the God of my forefathers: ئ ث ش ا ٤ ئ ع بػ ٤ Abraham, Ishmael, ئ ع ؾ بم ٣ ؼ و ة Isaac, and Jacob;

34 ظ ٣ Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 34 س ة ع ج ش ائ ٤ ٤ بئ ٤ ئ ع ش اك ٤ the Lord of Gabriel, Michael, and Seraph; س ة ؾ ذ خ بر ٱ ج ٤ ٤ the Lord of Muhammad, the Seal of Prophets, آ ٱ ز غ ج ٤ and his elite Household; ض ٱ ز س اح ٱإل غ ٤ the Revealer of the Torah, the Gospel, ٱ ض ث س ٱ ل ش ه ب the Psalms, and the Furqan; ض ٤ ؼ ى the Revealer of kaf-ha-ya-`ayn-sad and ta-ha, ya-sin, ٱ و ش آ ٱ ؾ ٤ and the Qur'an, full of wisdom. ا ذ ل ٢ ؽ ٤ ر ؼ ٢ ٤ ٤ ٱ ز ا ت ك ٢ ع ؼ ز ب You are my haven when the wide courses fail to carry me ر ن ٤ ن ث ٢ ٱالس ك ث ش ؽ ج ب

35 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 35 and when the earth, despite its width, become too narrow to bear me. ال س ؽ ز ي ذ ٱ ب ٤ Without Your mercy, I would have been of those perishing. ا ذ و ٤ ػ ض ش ر ٢ You overlook my slips; ال ع ز ش ى ئ ٣ ب ١ ذ ٱ ل ن ؽ ٤ and without Your covering me, I would have been of those exposed. ا ذ إ ٣ ذ ١ ث ٱ ق ش ػ ٠ اػ ذ ائ ٢ You aid me with Your support against my enemies; ال ق ش ى ئ ٣ ب ١ ذ ٱ ث ٤ and without Your support, I would have been of those overwhelmed. ٣ ب خ ل غ ث ٱ غ ٱ ش ك ؼ خ O He Who gives Himself exclusively superiority and highness; ك ب ٤ بؤ ث ؼ ض ٣ ؼ ز ض so, His friends pride themselves on account of His pride. ٣ ب ع ؼ ذ ٱ ى ٤ ش ٱ ز خ ػ ٠ اػ به

36 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 36 O He for Whom the kings put the yoke of humiliation on their necks; ك ع ي ار خ بئ ل for they are fearful of His authority. ٣ ؼ خ بئ خ ٱالػ ٤ ب ر خ ل ٢ ٱ ق ذ س He knows the stealthy looks of eyes and that which the breasts conceal ؿ ٤ ت ب ر بر ٢ ث ٱالص خ ٱ ذ س and the future of the times and ages. ٣ ب ال ٣ ؼ ٤ ق ئ ال O He save Whom none knows how He is! ٣ ب ال ٣ ؼ ب ئ ال O He save Whom none knows what He is! ٣ ب ال ٣ ؼ ب ٣ ؼ ئ ال O He save Whom none knows what He knows! ٣ ب ج ظ ٱالس ك ػ ٠ ٱ بء O He Who surfaced the earth over the water ع ذ ٱ اء ث ٱ غ بء and blocked the air with the heavens!

37 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 37 ٣ ب ا ش ٱالع بء O He Who has the noblest of names! ٣ ب ر ا ٱ ؼ ش ف ٱ ز ١ ال ٣ و ي غ اث ذا O Owner of favor that is never interrupted! ٣ ب و ٤ ل ٱ ش ت ٤ ع ق ك ٢ ٱ ج ذ ٱ و ل ش O He Who directed the caravan towards Joseph in the wasteland, خ ش ع ٱ غ ت took him out of the pit, ع بػ ث ؼ ذ ٱ ؼ ج د ٣ خ ب and made him king after enslavement! ٣ ب س اد ػ ٠ ٣ ؼ و ة O He Who had returned him to Jacob ث ؼ ذ ا ٱث ٤ ن ذ ػ ٤ ب ٱ ؾ ض ك ظ ٤ after his eyes became white on account of the grief, and he was a repressor of grief! ٣ ب بؽ ق ٱ ن ش ٱ ج ػ ا ٣ ة O He Who removed the distress and misfortune from Job

38 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 38 غ ي ٣ ذ ١ ئ ث ش ا ٤ ػ ر ث ؼ ٱث and withheld the hands of Abraham from slaying his son ث ؼ ذ ج ش ع ك بء ػ ش after his old age and termination of his lifetime! ٣ ب ٱع ز غ بة ض ش ٣ ب O He Who responded to Zachariah ك ت ٣ ؾ ٠ ٤ and granted him John ٣ ذ ػ ك ش دا ؽ ٤ ذا without leaving him alone and lonely! ٣ ب اخ ش ط ٣ ظ ث ي ٱ ؾ د O He Who took Jonah out of the belly of the big fish! ٣ ب ك ن ٱ ج ؾ ش ج ٢ ئ ع ش ائ ٤ O He Who cleft the sea to the children of Israel; ك ب غ ب ع ؼ ك ش ػ ع د ٱ ش ه ٤ so, He saved them and made Pharaoh and his army of the drowned! ٣ ب اس ع ٱ ش ٣ بػ ج ؾ ش اد ث ٤ ٣ ذ ١ س ؽ ز

39 ب ٣ Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 39 O He Who sent the winds, bearing good news, before His mercy! ٣ ب ٣ ؼ غ ػ ٠ ػ ق ب خ و O He Who has no hastiness on His creatures who disobey Him! ٣ ب ٱع ز و ز ٱ غ ؾ ش ح ث ؼ ذ ى ٱ غ ؾ د O He Who saved the sorcerers after their long denial! ه ذ ؿ ذ ٱ ك ٢ ؼ ز and after they had lived in His bounty, س ص ه ٣ ؼ ج ذ ؿ ٤ ش eating from His sustenance, but serving someone else other than Him, ه ذ ؽ بد بد acting in opposition to Him, antagonizing Him, ز ث ٱ س ع and denying His messengers. ٣ ب ا ٣ ب ا ٣ ب ث ذ ١ ء O Allah! O Allah! O Originator! ٣ ب ث ذ ٣ ؼب ال ذ ي

40 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 40 O Fashioner! There is no equal to You. ٣ ب د ائ ب ال ل بد ي O Everlasting! There is no end to You. ٣ ب ؽ ٤ ب ؽ ٤ ال ؽ ٢ O Ever-living when there was no living thing! ٣ ب ؾ ٢ ٤ ٱ ر ٠ ل ظ ث ب غ ج ذ O Raiser from the dead! ٣ ب ه بئ ػ ٠ O He Who watches every soul as to what it earns! ٣ ب ه ؽ ش ١ ك ٣ ؾ ش ٢ O He to Whom I rarely turned thankful; yet, He did not deprive me, ػ ظ ذ خ ي ٤ ئ ز ٢ ك ٣ ل ن ؾ ٢ against Whom I committed grand sins; yet, He did not disclose me, س آ ٢ ػ ٠ ٱ ؼ بف ٢ ك ٣ ؾ ش ٢ and Who saw me insisting on disobeying Him; yet, He did not divulge me. ٣ ب ؽ ل ظ ٢ ك ٢ ف ش ١

41 ٣ Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 41 O He Who safeguarded me in my early life! ٣ ب س ص ه ٢ ك ٢ ج ش ١ O He Who provided me with sustenance in my old age! ٣ ب ا ٣ بد ٣ ػ ذ ١ ال ر ؾ ق ٠ O He Whose favors to me are innumerable ؼ ال ر غ بص and Whose bounties cannot be compensated! ٣ ب ػ بس م ٢ ث ٱ خ ٤ ش ٱإل ؽ غ ب O He Who receives me with good turn and kindness ػ بس م ز ث ٱإل ع بء ح ٱ ؼ ق ٤ ب but I meet Him with offense and disobedience! ٣ ب ذ ا ٢ إل ب O He Who had guided me to faith ه ج ا اػ ش ف ؽ ش ٱال ز ب before I learnt showing gratitude! ٣ ب د ػ ر ش ٣ نب ك ؾ ل ب ٢ O He Whom I besought in sickness; so, He restored me to health,

42 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 42 ػ ش ٣ ب ب ك غ ب ٢ in bareness; so, He covered me, ع بئ ؼب ك بؽ ج ؼ ٢ in hunger; so, He satiated me, ػ ي ؾ ب ب ك بس ا ٢ in thirst; so, He quenched my thirst, ر ٤ ال ك بػ ض ٢ in humility; so, He granted me dignity, ع ب ال ك ؼ ش ك ٢ in ignorance; so, He taught me, ؽ ٤ ذا ك ض ش ٢ in loneliness; so, He increased my number, ؿ بئ جب ك ش د ٢ in foreignness absence; so, He returned me home, و ال ك بؿ ب ٢ in poverty; so, He enriched me, ز ق شا ك ق ش ٢ in victory-seeking; so, He supported me,

43 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 43 ؿ ٤ ب ك ٣ غ ج ٢ and in richness; so, He did not deprive me. ا غ ذ ػ ع ٤ غ ر ي ك ٱث ز ذ ا ٢ When I withheld praying Him in all these situation, He took the initiative. ك ي ٱ ؾ ذ ٱ ؾ ش So, all praise and thanks be to You; ٣ ب اه ب ػ ض ش ر ٢ O He Who overlooked my slips, ل ظ ش ث ز ٢ relieved my agonies, اع بة د ػ ر ٢ responded to my prayer, ع ز ش ػ س ر ٢ covered my flaws, ؿ ل ش ر ث ٢ forgave my sins, ث ٢ ى ج ز ٢

44 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 44 settled my need, ق ش ٢ ػ ٠ ػ ذ ١ and supported me against my enemy. ئ اػ ذ ؼ ي ي If I count Your bounties, favors, ش ائ ؾ ي ال اؽ ق ٤ ب and liberal gifts, I will never number them. ٣ ب ال ١ ا ذ ٱ ز ١ ذ O my Master! It is You Who bestowed (upon me). ا ذ ٱ ز ١ ا ؼ ذ It is You Who conferred favors (upon me). ا ذ ٱ ز ١ اؽ غ ذ It is You Who did good (to me). ا ذ ٱ ز ١ اع ذ It is You Who treated (me) excellently. ا ذ ٱ ز ١ اك ن ذ It is You Who favored (me). ا ذ ٱ ز ١ ا ذ

46 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 46 It is You Who protected (me). ا ذ ٱ ز ١ ع ز ش د It is You Who covered my faults. ا ذ ٱ ز ١ ؿ ل ش د It is You Who forgave (me). ا ذ ٱ ز ١ اه ذ It is You Who overlooked my sins. ا ذ ٱ ز ١ ذ It is You Who established (me). ا ذ ٱ ز ١ اػ ض ص د It is You Who consolidated (me). ا ذ ٱ ز ١ اػ ذ It is You Who helped (me). ا ذ ٱ ز ١ ػ ن ذ د It is You Who backed (me) up. ا ذ ٱ ز ١ ا ٣ ذ د It is You Who aided (me). ا ذ ٱ ز ١ ق ش د

47 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 47 It is You Who supported (me). ا ذ ٱ ز ١ ؽ ل ٤ ذ It is You Who restored (me) to health. ا ذ ٱ ز ١ ػ بك ٤ ذ It is You Who granted (me) wellbeing. ا ذ ٱ ز ١ ا ش ذ It is You Who honored (me). ر ج بس ذ ر ؼ ب ٤ ذ Blessed be You and Exalted be You. ك ي ٱ ؾ ذ د ائ ب So, all praise be to You permanently, ي ٱ ؾ ش اف جب اث ذا and all thanks be to You enduringly and eternally. ص ا ب ٣ ب ئ ٢ ٱ ؼ ز ش ف ث ز ث ٢ However, it is I, O my God, who confess of my sins; ك ٱؿ ل ش ب ٢ so, (please) forgive them to me. ا ب ٱ ز ١ ا عب د

48 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 48 It is I who did badly. ا ب ٱ ز ١ اخ ي ب د It is I who did wrong. ا ب ٱ ز ١ ذ It is I who had evil intention. ا ب ٱ ز ١ ع ذ It is I who acted impolitely. ا ب ٱ ز ١ ؿ ل ذ It is I who was inadvertent. ا ب ٱ ز ١ ع د It is I who was inattentive. ا ب ٱ ز ١ ٱػ ز ذ د It is I who leaned (on something other than You). ا ب ٱ ز ١ ر ؼ ذ د It is I who did wrong deliberately. ا ب ٱ ز ١ ػ ذ د It is I who promised. ا ب ٱ ز ١ اخ ل ذ

49 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 49 It is I who failed to fulfill it. ا ب ٱ ز ١ ض ذ It is I who breached. ا ب ٱ ز ١ اه ش س د It is I who confessed. ٱ ز ١ ا ب ٱػ ز ش ك ذ ث ؼ ز ي ػ ٢ ػ ذ ١ It is I who testified to Your favors upon and with me, اث ء ث ز ث ٢ ك ٱؿ ل ش ب ٢ and I now acknowledge of my sins; so, (please) forgive them to me. ٣ ب ال ر ن ش ر ة ػ ج بد O He Who is not injured by the sins of His servants, ٱ ٢ ػ ى بػ ز and Who can surely do without their obedience, ٱ ك ن ػ ف ب ؾب and Who inspires those of them to do good, ث ؼ ز س ؽ ز out of His aid and mercy.

50 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 50 ك ي ٱ ؾ ذ ئ ٢ ع ٤ ذ ١ So, all praise be to You, O my God and my Master. ئ ٢ ا ش ر ٢ ك ؼ ق ٤ ز ي O my God: You ordered me, but I disobeyed You. ٤ ز ٢ ك ٱس ر ج ذ ٤ ي You warned me, but I violated Your warning. ك بف ج ؾ ذ ال ر ا ث ش اء ح ٢ ك بػ ز ز س So, I am now lacking neither justification to apologize ال ر ا ه ح ك ب ز ق ش nor power to support myself. ك ج ب ١ ؽ ٢ ء اع ز و ج ي ٣ ب ال ١ By which thing can I now meet You, O my Master? اث غ ؼ ٢ ا ث ج ق ش ١ Is it by my hearing, my sight, ا ث غ ب ٢ ا ث ٤ ذ ١ ا ث ش ع ٢ my tongue, my hand, or my foot? ا ٤ ظ ب ؼ ي ػ ذ ١ Are all these not Your bounties on me

51 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 51 ث ب ػ ق ٤ ز ي ٣ ب ال ١ and with all of them I have disobeyed You, O my Master? ك ي ٱ ؾ غ خ ٱ غ ج ٤ ػ ٢ You have absolute argument and claim against me. ٣ ب ع ز ش ٢ ٱ ٥ ث بء ٱال بد ا ٣ ض ع ش ٢ O He Who covered me from fathers and mothers lest they might have driven me away, ٱ ؼ ؾ بئ ش ٱإل خ ا ا ٣ ؼ ٤ ش ٢ from relatives and friends lest they might have gibed me, ٱ غ ال ى ٤ ا ٣ ؼ به ج ٢ and from rulers lest they might have punished me. ٱى ؼ ٱ ٣ ب ال ١ Had they, O my Master, seen ػ ٠ ب ٱى ؼ ذ ػ ٤ ٢ that which You knew about me, ئ را ب ا ظ ش ٢ they would certainly have granted me no respite ش ك ن ٢ ه ي ؼ ٢

52 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 52 and they would have rejected and parted company with me. ك ب ا ب ر ا ٣ ب ئ ٢ Here I am now, O my God, ث ٤ ٣ ذ ٣ ي ٣ ب ع ٤ ذ ١ between Your hands, O my Master, خ بم غ ر ٤ submissive, humble, ؽ ق ٤ ش ؽ و ٤ ش helpless, and worthless. ال ر ث ش اء ح ك بػ ز ز س I am now lacking neither justification to apologize ال ر ه ح ك ب ز ق ش nor power to support myself, ال ؽ غ خ ك بؽ ز ظ ث ب nor excuse to advance as a plea, ال ه بئ اع ز ش ػ اػ ع ءا nor can I claim not committing and not acting badly. ب ػ غ ٠ ٱ غ ؾ د ع ؾ ذ د ٣ ب ال ١ ٣ ل ؼ ٢

53 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 53 How can denial, if I deny, O my Master, serve me? ٤ ق ا ٠ ر ي How and in what manner can I do so, ع اس ؽ ٢ ب ؽ ب ذ ح ػ ٢ ث ب ه ذ ػ ذ while all my organs are witnesses for what I did? ػ ذ ٣ و ٤ ب ؿ ٤ ش ر ١ ؽ ي I know for sure and without doubt ا ي ع بئ ٢ ػ ظ بئ ٱال س that You will interrogate me about these grand matter, ا ي ٱ ؾ ٱ ؼ ذ ا ز ١ ال ر غ س You are the Just Judge Who never wrongs, ػ ذ ي ٢ Your justice will ruin me, ػ ذ ي ش ث ٢ and from Your all justice I flee. ك ا ر ؼ ز ث ٢ ٣ ب ئ ٢ If You, O my God, chastise me, ك ج ز ث ٢ ث ؼ ذ ؽ غ ز ي ػ ٢

54 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 54 then it is because of my sins after Your claim against me; ئ ر ؼ ق ػ ٢ and if You pardon me, ك ج ؾ ي ع د ى ش ي then it is on account of Your forbearance, magnanimity, and generosity. ال ئ ئ ال ا ذ ع ج ؾ ب ي There is no god save You. All glory be to You. ئ ٢ ذ ٱ غ ز ل ش ٣ I have been of those seeking forgiveness. ال ئ ئ ال ا ذ ع ج ؾ ب ي There is no god save You. All glory be to You. ئ ٢ ذ ٱ ؽ ذ ٣ I have been of those professing Your Oneness.

55 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 55 ال ئ ئ ال ا ذ ع ج ؾ ب ي There is no god save You. All glory be to You. ئ ٢ ذ ٱ خ بئ ل ٤ I have been of the fearful. ال ئ ئ ال ا ذ ع ج ؾ ب ي There is no god save You. All glory be to You. ئ ٢ ذ ٱ ع ٤ I have been of the apprehensive. ال ئ ئ ال ا ذ ع ج ؾ ب ي There is no god save You. All glory be to You. ئ ٢ ذ ٱ ش اع ٤ I have been of those hoping (for You). ال ئ ئ ال ا ذ ع ج ؾ ب ي There is no god save You. All glory be to You. ئ ٢ ذ ٱ ش اؿ ج ٤ I have been of those desiring (for You). ال ئ ئ ال ا ذ ع ج ؾ ب ي There is no god save You. All glory be to You.

56 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 56 ئ ٢ ذ ٱ ٤ I have been of those professing that there is no god save You. ال ئ ئ ال ا ذ ع ج ؾ ب ي There is no god save You. All glory be to You. ئ ٢ ذ ٱ غ بئ ٤ I have been of those beseeching (You). ال ئ ئ ال ا ذ ع ج ؾ ب ي There is no god save You. All glory be to You. ئ ٢ ذ ٱ غ ج ؾ ٤ I have been of those glorifying (You). ال ئ ئ ال ا ذ ع ج ؾ ب ي There is no god save You. All glory be to You. ئ ٢ ذ ٱ ج ش ٣ I have been of those professing that You are the Greatest. ال ئ ئ ال ا ذ ع ج ؾ ب ي There is no god save You. All glory be to You. س ث ٢ س ة آث بئ ٢ ٱال ٤ You are my Lord and the Lord of my bygone fathers.

57 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 57 ا ز ا ص بئ ٢ ػ ٤ ي غ ذا O Allah, this is my praise for You, celebrating Your glory, ئ خ ال!ف ٢ ز ش ى ؽ ذا my sincerity to mention You and profess Your Oneness, ئ ه ش اس ١ ث أال ئ ي ؼ ذ دا and my acknowledgment of Your bounties, counting them, ئ ذ و ش ا ا ٢ اؽ ق ب although I confess that I could never count them ض ش ر ب ع ج ؿ ب for they are innumerable, abundant, ر ظ ب ش ب ر و بد ب ئ ٠ ؽ بد س ب continuous, and prior to a certain event. ر ض ر ز ؼ ذ ٢ ث ؼ ب You have been conferring upon me with these bounties ز خ و ز ٢ ث ش ار ٢ since You created and originated me ا ٱ ؼ ش from the beginning of my age

58 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 58 ٱإل ؿ بء ٱ ل و ش through meeting my poverty ؾ ق ٱ ن ش relieving me from harm, ر غ ج ٤ ت ٱ ٤ غ ش giving me means of easiness, د ك غ ٱ ؼ غ ش repelling misery from me, ر ل ش ٣ ظ ٱ ش ة alleviating my agonies, ٱ ؼ بك ٤ خ ك ٢ ٱ ج ذ granting me wellbeing in my body, ٱ غ ال خ ك ٢ ٱ ذ ٣ and furnishing me with sound faith. س ك ذ ٢ ػ ٠ ه ذ س ر ش ؼ ز ي ع ٤ غ ٱ ؼ ب ٤ If all creatures assist me to be able to mention Your bounties, ٱال ٤ ٱ ٥ خ ش ٣ including the past and the coming generations,

59 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 59 ب ه ذ س د ال ػ ٠ ر ي neither I nor will they be able to do that. ر و ذ ع ذ ر ؼ ب ٤ ذ Holy be You and Exalted be You; س ة ش ٣ ػ ظ ٤ س ؽ ٤ You are All-generous, All-great, and All-merciful Sustainer. ال ر ؾ ق ٠ آال ؤ ى Your bounties are innumerable, ال ٣ ج ؾ ص بؤ ى (proper) praise of You is unreachable, ال ر بك ٠ ؼ بؤ ى and Your graces cannot be rewarded. ف ػ ٠ ؾ ذ آ ؾ ذ (Please) send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, ار ػ ٤ ب ؼ ي perfect Your bounties for us, اع ؼ ذ ب ث ي بػ ز ي

60 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 60 and make us happy by obeying You. ع ج ؾ ب ي ال ئ ئ ال ا ذ All glory be to You. There is no god save You. ا ئ ي ر غ ٤ ت ٱ ن ي ش O Allah, verily, You answer the distressed, ر ؾ ق ٱ غ ء remove the evil, ر ٤ ش ٱ ش ة aid the anguished, ر ؾ ل ٢ ٱ غ و ٤ cure the ailed, ر ٢ ٱ ل و ٤ ش enrich the poor, ر غ ج ش ٱ غ ٤ ش set the broken, ر ش ؽ ٱ ق ٤ ش have mercy on the young, ر ؼ ٤ ٱ ج ٤ ش

61 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 61 help the old, ٤ ظ د ي ظ ٤ ش none can help against You, ال ك ه ي ه ذ ٣ ش none is more powerful than You, ا ذ ٱ ؼ ٢ ٱ ج ٤ ش and You are the Most High, the All-great. ٣ ب ي ن ٱ ج ٱالع ٤ ش O He Who release the shackled captive! ٣ ب س اص م ٱ ي ل ٱ ق ٤ ش O He Who provides sustenance to the young child! ٣ ب ػ ق خ ٱ خ بئ ق ٱ غ ز غ ٤ ش O He Who is the Preserver of the afraid seeker of refuge! ٣ ب ال ؽ ش ٣ ي ال ص ٣ ش O He Who has neither partner nor assistant, ف ػ ٠ ؾ ذ آ ؾ ذ (please) send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,

62 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 62 اػ ي ٢ ك ٢ ز ٱ ؼ ؾ ٤ خ and grant me, in this evening, اك ن ب اػ ي ٤ ذ ا ذ the best of what You have granted and awarded اؽ ذا ػ ج بد ى to any of Your servants, ؼ خ ر ٤ ب including a grace that You donate, آال ء ر غ ذ د ب bounties that You re-offer, ث ٤ خ ر ق ش ك ب a tribulation that You deter, ش ث خ ر ؾ ل ب an anguish that You remove, د ػ ح ر غ ؼ ب a prayer that You answer, ؽ غ خ ر ز و ج ب a good deed that You admit,

63 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 63 ع ٤ ئ خ ر ز ذ ب and an evildoing that You screen. ئ ي ي ٤ ق ث ب ر ؾ بء خ ج ٤ ش Verily, You are All-tender to him You will, and All-aware, ػ ٠ ؽ ٢ ء ه ذ ٣ ش and You have power over all things. ا ئ ي اه ش ة د ػ ٢ O Allah, Verily, You are the nearest of those whom are prayed, اع ش ع اع بة You are the promptest of those who may respond, ا ش ػ ل ب the most generous of those who may pardon, ا ع غ اػ ي ٠ the most liberal of those who give, اع غ ع ئ and the most responding of those whom are asked. ٣ ب س ؽ ٱ ذ ٤ ب ٱ ٥ خ ش ح س ؽ ٤ ب

64 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 64 O All-beneficent of the world and the Hereafter, and Allmerciful! ٤ ظ ض ي غ إ No besought one is like You ال ع اى ب and none save You is hoped. د ػ ر ي ك بع ج ز ٢ I prayed You and You answered me. ع ب ز ي ك بػ ي ٤ ز ٢ I besought You and You gave me. س ؿ ج ذ ئ ٤ ي ك ش ؽ ز ٢ I desired for You and You had mercy on me. ص و ذ ث ي ك غ ٤ ز ٢ I had confidence in You and You saved me. ك ض ػ ذ ئ ٤ ي ك ل ٤ ز ٢ I resorted to You in awe and You delivered me. ا ك ق ػ ٠ ؾ ذ O Allah, (please) send blessings to Muhammad,

65 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 65 ػ ج ذ ى س ع ي ج ٤ ي Your servant, messenger, and prophet, ػ ٠ آ ٱ ي ٤ ج ٤ ٱ ي ب ش ٣ اع ؼ ٤ and to all of his Household, the pure and immaculate, ر ب ؼ بء ى and perfect for us Your graces, ئ ب ػ ي بء ى make us taste the pleasure of Your gifts, ٱ ز ج ب ي ؽ ب ش ٣ and register us as thankful for You ٥ ال ئ ي ر ا ش ٣ and as oft-referring to You. آ ٤ آ ٤ س ة ٱ ؼ ب ٤ Respond, respond! O Lord of the worlds! ا ٣ ب ي ك و ذ س O Allah, Who owns; therefore, He controls, ه ذ س ك و ش and controls; therefore, He has absolute authority,

66 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 66 ػ ق ٢ ك غ ز ش and is disobeyed; yet, He covers, ٱع ز ل ش ك ل ش and is prayed for forgiveness; therefore, He forgives. ٣ ب ؿ ب ٣ خ ٱ ي ب ج ٤ ٱ ش اؿ ج ٤ O He Who is the aim of seekers and desirers ز ٠ ا ٱ ش اع ٤ and the ultimate purpose of the hope of hopers! ٣ ب اؽ به ث ؽ ٢ ء ػ ب O He Who encompasses all things in knowledge ع غ ٱ غ ز و ٤ ٤ س اك خ س ؽ خ ؽ ب and covers those who quit (their sins) with tender, mercy, and forbearance! ا ئ ب ز ع ئ ٤ ي ك ٢ ز ٱ ؼ ؾ ٤ خ O Allah, we turn our faces to You in this evening ٱ ز ٢ ؽ ش ك ز ب ػ ظ ز ب that You deem honorable and reverential ث ؾ ذ ج ٤ ي س ع ي

67 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 67 (asking You) in the name of Muhammad, Your Prophet, Messenger, خ ٤ ش ر ي خ و ي the best of Your creation, ا ٤ ي ػ ٠ ؽ ٤ ي Your trustee on Your Revelation, ٱ ج ؾ ٤ ش ٱ ز ٣ ش the bearer of glad tidings, the warner, ٱ غ ش اط ٱ ٤ ش and the shining lantern, ٱ ز ١ ا ؼ ذ ث ػ ٠ ٱ غ ٤ with whom You have conferred upon the Muslims, ع ؼ ز س ؽ خ ؼ ب ٤ and whom You made mercy for the worlds. ا ك ق ػ ٠ ؾ ذ آ ؾ ذ So, O Allah, bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, ب ؾ ذ ا ز ي ي ٣ ب ػ ظ ٤

68 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 68 forasmuch as Muhammad deserves that from You, O Allgreat. ك ق ػ ٤ ػ ٠ آ So, (please) send blessings to him and his Household, ٱ ز غ ج ٤ ٱ ي ٤ ج ٤ ٱ ي ب ش ٣ اع ؼ ٤ the elite, pure, and immaculate all of them, ر ذ ب ث ؼ ل ى ػ ب and encompass us with Your pardoning us. ك ا ٤ ي ػ غ ذ ٱالف اد ث ق ف ٱ بد To You are the voices of various languages clamoring; ك ٱع ؼ ب ٱ ك ٢ ز ٱ ؼ ؾ ٤ خ so, decide for us, O Allah, in this evening ق ٤ جب خ ٤ ش ر و غ ث ٤ ػ ج بد ى a share from every good item that You distribute among Your servants, س ر ذ ١ ث illumination by which You guide, س ؽ خ ر ؾ ش ب mercy that You spread,

69 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 69 ث ش خ ر ض ب blessing that You bring down, ػ بك ٤ خ ر غ ب wellbeing that You extend, س ص م ر ج غ ي and sustenance that You stretch, ٣ ب اس ؽ ٱ ش اؽ ٤ O most Merciful of all those who show mercy! ا اه ج ب ك ٢ ز ا ٱ ه ذ O Allah, turn us in this hour غ ؾ ٤ ل ؾ ٤ successful, flourishing, ج ش س ٣ ؿ ب ٤ blessed, and gainers. ال ر غ ؼ ب ٱ و ب ي ٤ Do not include us with the despondent. ال ر خ ب س ؽ ز ي Do not leave us without Your mercy.

70 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 70 ال ر ؾ ش ب ب إ ك ن ي Do not deprive us of that which we hope from Your favor. ال ر غ ؼ ب س ؽ ز ي ؾ ش ٤ Do not make us deprived of Your mercy, ال ل ن ب إ ػ ي بئ ي ه ب ي ٤ or despair of the favor of what we hope from Your gifts. ال ر ش د ب خ بئ ج ٤ Do not turns us down disappointed ال ث بث ي ي ش د ٣ or driven away from Your door. ٣ ب اع د ٱالع د ٣ O most Magnanimous of all those who treat magnanimously ا ش ٱال ش ٤ and most Generous of all those who act generously! ئ ٤ ي اه ج ب ه ٤ To You are we advancing with full conviction ج ٤ ز ي ٱ ؾ ش ا آ ٤ ه بف ذ ٣

71 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 71 and to Your Holy House are we betaking ourselves purposefully; ك بػ ب ػ ٠ بع ب So, (please) help us do our rituals (perfectly) ا ب ؽ غ ب perfect for us our pilgrimage ٱػ ق ػ ب ػ بك ب pardon us, and grant us wellbeing. ك و ذ ذ د ب ئ ٤ ي ا ٣ ذ ٣ ب We are stretching our hands toward You; ك ٢ ث ز خ ٱال ػ ز ش اف ع خ so, they are marked by the humiliation of confession. ا ك بػ ي ب ك ٢ ز ٱ ؼ ؾ ٤ خ ب ع ب بى O Allah, grant us in this evening that which we have besought from You ٱ ل ب ب ٱع ز ل ٤ بى and save us from that which we have besought You to save us; ك ال بك ٢ ب ع اى for we have no savior but You

72 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 72 ال س ة ب ؿ ٤ ش ى and we have no sustainer but You. بك ز ك ٤ ب ؽ ي Your decree is prevalent on us, ؾ ٤ و ث ب ػ ي Your knowledge is encompassing us, ػ ذ ك ٤ ب ه ن بؤ ى and Your decisions about us is just. ئ ه ل ب ٱ خ ٤ ش (Please) decree for us that which is good ٱع ؼ ب ا ٱ خ ٤ ش and make us of the people of goodness. ا ا ع ت ب ث غ د ى ػ ظ ٤ ٱالع ش O Allah, decide for us, on account of Your magnanimity, a great reward, ش ٣ ٱ ز خ ش a generous reserve, د ا ٱ ٤ غ ش

73 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 73 and a permanent easiness, ٱؿ ل ش ب ر ث ب اع ؼ ٤ and forgive us all our sins, ال ر ب غ ٱ ب ٤ do not annihilate us with those annihilated, ال ر ق ش ف ػ ب س اك ز ي س ؽ ز ي and do not drive away from us Your tenderness and mercy; ٣ ب اس ؽ ٱ ش اؽ ٤ O most Merciful of all those who show mercy! ا ٱع ؼ ب ك ٢ ز ا ٱ ه ذ ع ب ي ك بػ ي ٤ ز O Allah, include us, at this hour, with them who besought You and You thus gave them, ؽ ش ى ك ض د ر who thanked You and You thus increased them, ص بة ئ ٤ ي ك و ج ز who returned to You and You thus accepted them, ر ق ئ ٤ ي ر ث ب ك ل ش ر ب and who renounced all their sins before You and You thus forgave them;

74 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 74 ٣ ب ر ا ٱ غ ال ٱال ش ا O Lord of Majesty and Honor! ا و ب ع ذ د ب O Allah, purify us and lead us to success ٱه ج ر ن ش ػ ب and admit our earnest entreaty; ٣ ب خ ٤ ش ع ئ O He Who is the best of all those who are besought ٣ ب اس ؽ ٱع ز ش ؽ and most Merciful of all those whose mercy is sought! ٣ ب ال ٣ خ ل ٠ ػ ٤ ئ ؿ بك ٱ غ ل O He from Whom the closing of eyelids cannot be hidden, ال ؾ ظ ٱ ؼ ٤ nor are the glances of eyes, ال ب ٱع ز و ش ك ٢ ٱ nor is that which settles in the unseen, ال ب ٱ ي د ػ ٤ ن ش اد ٱ و ة nor are things vanished under the secrets of hearts.

75 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 75 ا ال ر ي ه ذ اؽ ق ب ػ ي Verily, all that has been encompassed by Your knowledge ع ؼ ؽ ي and covered by Your forbearance. ع ج ؾ ب ي ر ؼ ب ٤ ذ ػ ب ٣ و ٱ ظ ب All glory be to You; and Exalted be You above all that the wrongdoers say, ػ ا ج ٤ شا in high exaltation! ر غ ج ؼ ي ٱ غ ب اد ٱ غ ج غ Declaring You glory are the seven heavens, ٱالس م ك ٤ the (layers of the) earth, and all beings therein. ئ ؽ ٢ ء ئ ال ٣ غ ج ؼ ث ؾ ذ ى There is not a thing but celebrates Your praise. ك ي ٱ ؾ ذ ٱ غ ذ Yours are all praise, glory, ػ ٱ غ ذ

76 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 76 and exaltation of majesty. ٣ ب ر ا ٱ غ ال ٱال ش ا O Owner of majesty, honor, ٱ ل ن ٱال ؼ ب grace, favoring, ٱال ٣ بد ١ ٱ غ غ ب and huge bestowals. ا ذ ٱ غ اد ٱ ش ٣ You are the All-magnanimous, the All-generous, ٱ ش ؤ ف ٱ ش ؽ ٤ the All-tender, the All-merciful. ا س ص ه ي ٱ ؾ ال ا ع غ ػ ٢ O Allah, provide me largely with Your legally gotten sustenance, ػ بك ٢ ك ٢ ث ذ ٢ د ٢ ٣ grant me wellbeing in my body and my faith, آ خ ك ٢ secure my fears,

77 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 77 اػ ز ن س ه ج ز ٢ ٱ بس and release me from Hellfire. ا ال ر ش ث ٢ O Allah, (please) do not plan against me, ال ر غ ز ذ س ع ٢ do not draw me near to destruction, ال ر خ ذ ػ ٢ do not overreach me, ٱد س ا ػ ٢ ؽ ش ك غ و خ ٱ غ ٱإل ظ and drive away from me the evils of the corruptive Jinn and men. Imam al-husayn (`a) then raised his head and sight to the sky with teary eyes and said with an audible voice: ٣ ب اع غ ٱ غ ب ؼ ٤ O most Hearing of all those who can hear! ٣ ب اث ق ش ٱ بظ ش ٣ O most Seeing of all those who can see! ٣ ب اع ش ع ٱ ؾ بع ج ٤ O swiftest of all those who call to account!

78 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 78 ٣ ب اسؽ ٱ ش اؽ ٤ O most Merciful of all those who show mercy! ف ػ ٠ ؾ ذ آ ؾ ذ (Please) send blessings to Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, ٱ غ بد ح ٱ ٤ ب ٤ the auspicious chiefs; اع ب ي ٱ ؽ بع ز ٢ and I beseech You for my request ٱ ز ٢ ئ اػ ي ٤ ز ٤ ب ٣ ن ش ٢ ب ؼ ز ٢ that if You answer, anything else that You reject will not harm me ئ ؼ ز ٤ ب ٣ ل ؼ ٢ ب اػ ي ٤ ز ٢ and if You reject, anything else that You respond will not benefit me. اع ب ي ك بى س ه ج ز ٢ ٱ بس I beseech You for releasing me from Hellfire. ا ذ ئ ئ ال ال There is no god save You,

79 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 79 ؽ ذ ى ال ؽ ش ٣ ي ي only You, there is no partner with You. ي ٱ ي ي ٱ ؾ ذ To You is the kingdom and to You is all praise, ا ذ ػ ٠ ؽ ٢ ء ه ذ ٣ ش and You have power over all things. ٣ ب س ة ٣ ب س ة ٣ ب س ة O my Lord! O my Lord! O my Lord Imam al-husayn (`a) then repeated ya-rabbi so frequently and effectively that he attracted the attentions of all the others who, instead of praying for granting their needs, surrounded Imam al-husayn (`a) to listen to him and pray for the response of his supplication. Then, they wept with him. At sunset, they left Mount `Arafat with him. This is the end of Imam al-husayn s supplicatory prayer on the `Arafat Day according to the narrations of al-kaf`ami in his book of al-balad al-amin and `Allamah al-majlisi in his book of Zad al-ma`ad. As for Sayyid Ibn Tawus, he, in his book of Iqbal al-a`mal, adds the following statements to the supplicatory prayer:

80 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 80 ئ ٢ ا ب ٱ ل و ٤ ش ك ٢ ؿ ب ١ O my God, I am needy despite my richness; ك ٤ ق ال ا ك و ٤ شا ك ٢ ك و ش ١ so, how can I not be needy in my neediness? ئ ٢ ا ب ٱ غ ب ك ٢ ػ ٢ O my God, I am ignorant despite my knowledge; ك ٤ ق ال ا ع ال ك ٢ ع ٢ so, how can I not be ignorant in my ignorance? ئ ٢ ئ ٱخ ز ال ف ر ذ ث ٤ ش ى O my God, the variety of Your regulating of matters ع ش ػ خ ى اء و بد ٣ ش ى and the swiftness of changes in Your ordainments ؼ ب ػ ج بد ى ٱ ؼ بس ك ٤ ث ي have urged Your servants, who recognize You, ػ ٱ غ ئ ٠ ػ ي بء not to stop at a certain gift ٱ ٤ بط ي ك ٢ ث ال ء and not to despair of You in tribulations.

81 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 81 ئ ٢ ٢ ب ٤ ٣ ن ث إ ٢ O my God, coming out of me is that which fits my lowliness; ي ب ٤ ٣ ن ث ش ي but coming from You is that which befits Your nobleness. ئ ٢ ف ل ذ ل غ ي ث ٱ ي ق ٱ ش اك خ ٢ O my God, You had ascribed to Yourself gentleness and kindness to me ه ج ع د م ؼ ل ٢ before the existence of my weakness. اك ز ؼ ٢ ب ث ؼ ذ ع د م ؼ ل ٢ Will You deprive me of these two after the emergence of my weakness? ئ ٢ ئ ظ ش د ٱ ؾ بع ٢ O my God, if amenities appear in my conduct, ك ج ل ن ي ي ٱ خ ػ ٢ then that is on account of Your favors and Your conferral on me. ئ ظ ش د ٱ غ ب ب ٢ If evildoings appear in my conduct,

82 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 82 ك ج ؼ ذ ي ي ٱ ؾ غ خ ػ ٢ then that is still Your justice and You have claim against me. ئ ٢ ٤ ق ر ٢ ه ذ ر ل ذ ٢ O my God, how may it be that You abandon me after You have vouched for me? ٤ ق ام ب ا ذ ٱ بف ش ٢ How may I be aggrieved and You are my support? ا ٤ ق اخ ٤ ت ا ذ ٱ ؾ ل ٢ ث ٢ How may I be disappointed and You are undertaking my affairs? ب ا ب ار ع ئ ٤ ي ث ل و ش ١ ئ ٤ ي Here I am begging You by my need for You. ٤ ق ار ع ئ ٤ ي How can I beg You ث ب ؾ ب ا ٣ ق ئ ٤ ي by something that is impossible to reach You? ا ٤ ق اؽ ئ ٤ ي ؽ ب ٢ How can I complain to You about my manners

83 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 83 ال ٣ خ ل ٠ ػ ٤ ي while they cannot be hidden from You? ا ٤ ق ار ش ع ث و ب ٢ How can I interpret my words ي ث ش ص ئ ٤ ي while You are their source? ا ٤ ق ر خ ٤ ت آ ب ٢ How come that You may let down my hopes, ٢ ه ذ ك ذ د ئ ٤ ي while they are addressed to You? ا ٤ ق ال ر ؾ غ اؽ ا ٢ How come that You may not improve my conditions ث ي ه ب ذ while they are originated by You? ئ ٢ ب ا ي ل ي ث ٢ O my God, how gentle You are to me غ ػ ظ ٤ ع ٢ despite my notorious ignorance!

84 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 84 ب اس ؽ ي ث ٢ How merciful You are to me غ ه ج ٤ ؼ ك ؼ ٢ despite my hideous deeds! ئ ٢ ب اه ش ث ي ٢ O my God, how nigh to me You are اث ؼ ذ ٢ ػ ي and how far from You I am! ب اس اك ي ث ٢ How kind to me You are; ك ب ٱ ز ١ ٣ ؾ غ ج ٢ ػ ي so, what is that which can prevent me from You? ئ ٢ ػ ذ ث ٱخ ز ال ف ٱ ٥ ص بس O my God, I have known, through variety of signs ر و ال د ٱالى اس and changes of phases, ا ش اد ى ٢ ا ر ز ؼ ش ف ئ ٢ ك ٢ ؽ ٢ ء

85 Dua of Imam Husain (a) for Arafah Day 85 that what You want from me is that You introduce Yourself to me in all things ؽ ز ٠ ال اع ي ك ٢ ؽ ٢ ء so that I will not ignore You in any thing. ئ ٢ ب اخ ش ع ٢ إ ٢ O my God, whenever my lowliness suppresses my voice, ا ي و ٢ ش ي Your nobility encourages me to speak. ب آ ٣ غ ز ٢ ا ف بك ٢ Whenever my features lead me to despair (of You), اى ؼ ز ٢ ي Your bestowals make me crave for You. ئ ٢ ب ذ ؾ بع غ ب ب O my God, as for he whose good deeds are wrongdoings; ك ٤ ق ال ر غ ب ئ غ ب ب how can his wrongdoings not be wrongdoings? ب ذ ؽ و بئ و د ػ ب ١ As for he whose facts are mere claims,
