HYPOCRISY DELIBERATELY IGNORING FACTS TO PROMOTE ILL-FATED HIDDEN AGENDA BY ALI MOHAMED In response to Mr ALI Mohamed s article titled It is time to Stop the Reign of Terror of the Liyu Police, that was published on Somalilandpress.com on Wed, June 29, 2016, I am delighted to react in the context of the article based on reasonable facts. Also to demonstrate heartfelt need and love of the Liyu police for people of the population of the region and also i am proud to high light the leadership quality of President Abdi Mohamoud Omar. When you deeply evaluate the core issues of that article or the false ambition beyond reality fabricated by Mr Ali Mohamed, you can easily understand that the writer is biased and against the will and prosperity of the region in terms of social, economy and political and that he does not totally believe the sovereignty of Ethiopia and its borders The second agenda that writers is campaigning is to ignore the internationally recognised and existing border that Ethiopia shares with Somaliland region of Somalia. Simply by promoting a propaganda based on clan mentality, when mentioning the kinship relation between the Ethiopian people residing in the border and those people residing Burco town of Somalia. In addition he does not totally have a hint of knowledge of the Ethiopian governmental system which emanate from the 1995
constitution of the federal democratic republic of Ethiopia (FDRE). But he is considering blindly, that it is based on clan system like in the case of Somalia. In addition the writer is apparently promoting the spread and advancement of illegal trade of terrorist groups like al-shabab, which will not be likely to happen in the Ethiopian territory. Because it is totally against Ethiopian trade policy, strategies and goals that would have negative subsequent to our general economic development strategies in accordance with Growth and Transformation Plan 2 of the country. Moreover, unethically, the writer as well as the Somaliland press colleagues is intentionally spoiling the dignity and genuine leadership of H.E Abdi Mohamoud Omar the president of the region. But this intentional defamation made to our beloved president will never happen also. Referring with article posted somalilandpress.con on June 29, 2016, by Ali Mohamed The Liyu police were retaliating, after a group of armed men attacked customs police for confiscating a vehicle transporting Khat (a leafy plant, which acts as stimulant when chewed), belonging to a local dealer, for failing to pay taxes. With this context, I would like to reveal to the public that the liyu police do not take retaliation from their people, because they are government army and not tribal militia which have no code of conduct like in the case of Somalia of what Mr Ali have in mind and experienced. And they are from the people and they are for the people. But the fact is the armed group unlawfully attacked the customs police to take forcefully, the vehicle that carried the contraband which is contrary to the Ethiopian trade policy with neighbouring countries like Somalia, Kenya, and Djibouti. Because the contraband on which Mr: ALI Mohamed is arguing for is against the peace and economy of whole Ethiopia. And one of the strategies and policies of Ethiopia is that it will never allow contraband on it is territory so the writer should refrain from clannish mentality and should respect the sovereignty of Ethiopia and its border and internal affairs as well. Referring with article posted somalilandpress.con on June 29, 2016, by Ali Mohamed stated that The Liyu police have no formal training or discipline Mr Ali Mohamed said in his article I strongly believe it is time to stop the reign of terror of the Liyu police. This paramilitary force is not going to change its
behavior or reform itself because they are not a professional police force operating under the rule of law. They are neither protecting nor serving the people in the region Mr Ali also stated in his biased and baseless article In fact, it is time to disband the Liyu police and replace it with an inclusive force from all Somali clans in the region trained by the United Nations or EU. in the real context, the fact is that as Mr Ahmed Deeq H. addressed on his article Liyu police is Ethiopian Somali Region special force that was established in 2008 G.C. in accordance with police proclamation that emanate from the constitution of Ethiopia of (1995) of the federal democratic republic of Ethiopia (FDRE). One of their important mandates is to defend people and their belongings from any threats both internal and external and to calm down longstanding conflict that hindered the region s progress and caused to lag behind from other regions of country for decades. Therefore on what base and ground can Mr Ali and his colleagues who are apparently working for and promoting the agendas of anti-peace elements can stop the reign of the liyu police? Rather it is time to reward on their effort on the peace of the Ethiopian Somali regional state based on their Ethiopian border. In addition, as Mr Ahmed Deeq H. clearly mentioned on his article this force has been created from the result of the tears, tortures, rapes and killings of civil society by ONLF. Because the liyu police are from people and for people of Somali region to protect the safety of their own people and security of region, and Ethiopia country at large. They have the mandate to protect the people of the region. I want to explicitly demonstrate to all writers of the somalilandpress.com and their colleagues that this Special force is not a like tribal militia from any specific sub-clan in the region rather; they are holistic and governmental arms who are screened, registered and recruited from kebeles and woredas based modality and trained standard Ethiopian military training package and armed with modern arms. Besides being regional state Special Forces; they are part and parcel of Ethiopian arms and they are also the products of Ethiopian military :- (Ahmed Deeq) of which Ethiopia as a whole is proud of their existence and their effort in the defeat of the terrorist groups. But Mr Ali Mohamed unreasonably said this force is not trained and not professional which is biased and baseless article. Mr Ali said blindly, this force
should be trained by the United Nations and EU. Ethiopia is an existing and well known country for the discipline and well training of its soldiers. It is for this reason and reputation that the Ethiopian solders participate in the United Nations missions in different parts of the world. So what is the kind of training that the writer is talking about? Meaning the writer is talking without thinking reasonably and proof less arguments. Similar to the work they have for the region, whenever deemed necessarily Ethiopian Somali region s special force can be used to take part security operation in other parts of the country as well as, they are still part of Ethiopian arms in AMISON peacekeeping mission inside Somalia. Somali region special force is also strongly force that fights against terrorist groups in the horn of Africa like al-shabab (al-qushash) and has an excellence success record against al-shabab inside Somalia in several occasions that no one can deny or hide :- Ahmed Deeq H. Referring with article posted somalilandpress.con on June 29, 2016, by Ali Mohamed Over the government s plan to expand the zoning of the Addis Ababa, Ethiopia s capital, Ethiopian security forces have fired on and killed hundreds of students, farmers, and other peaceful protesters with blatant disregard for human life, in this juncture, Mr Ali Mohamed is clearly propagating a hidden agenda of an enemy and interfering the internal affairs of Ethiopia and its sovereignty through promoting the tendency of the antipeace elements like Gunbot 7, OLF, ONLF, Al-shabab and shacbia (Eretria). Despite the fact that there is the highest level of co-existence between the Ethiopian government and the Somaliland state in terms of political, economy and social. The writer is intentionally deteriorating their long relation that existed. So we urge the Somaliland government to investigate deeply the bad motive and the defamation of the writers of the Somaliland press. I would like to confidently ring a bell as Ahmed Deeq stated on his article to the people of horn of Africa region around world particularly; Somalis who are misconceived about Liyu Police through their deliberate action like Mr Ali Mohamed or those of you hosting international terrorist and intentionally against Liyu police for doing excellent security jobs in the horn should
understand this force is reliable security force in the horn of Africa region that fighting against terrorists in the horn; who are part & parcel of Ethiopian arms, Who will stand today and tomorrow for the protection and development of their people whenever and where ever necessary :- Ahmed Deeq H. I would like to further declare that, the Somaliland press is intentionally and apparently damaging the peace coexistence of Ethiopian Somali region, Somaliland state, and Ethiopia in general; in terms of political, economy, and social. To be an example, the Ethiopian Somali region government under the leadership of H.E President Abdi Mohamoud Omar, helped the Somaliland people during the drought from the EL-Nina impact that affected the life of thousands of livestock by providing grass (fodder) that grown Godey agricultural project to save the life of the livestock (Animals) of Somaliland population so as to enhance their livelihood. Similarly to build the capacity of young generations of Somaliland, Putland, the Ethiopian Somali region government provided education opportunity to different fields from Jigjiga University, Jigjiga nursing school, Godey nursing school, and other TVET schools that exist in the region. There is also political and economic collaboration between the Ethiopian Somali region population and the Somaliland population. Despite the presence of all these important relations. The Somaliland press writers and their colleagues have strong conspiracy collaborating with the terrorists and to spoil this long time existed coexistence and harmony to live together between the communities of Somali region and Somaliland. So these bad motive writers should bear in mind that, the support the Ethiopian Somali region have to the Somaliland border communities is Action is loader than words. I am strongly telling to Mr Ali Mohamed, his colleagues and the Somaliland press; that terrorist groups in the horn of Africa cannot smuggle weapons into Ethiopian Somali region across borders that we share with Somalia in general and particularly in Somaliland. Moreover, we will never allow for anti-peace elements to carry out explosive terrorist missions inside Ethiopia. Similarly, as Mr Ahmed Deeq cited on his article they can never create or have an opportunity that our enemy as well as global enemy can use to harm our peace driven population in the region in particular and Ethiopia in general.
Thus, the writers and the Somaliland press have no legitimate to ignore the internationally recognised and existing border that Ethiopia shares with Somaliland state and the rest of Somalia; simply by promoting propaganda based on clan mentality and the like. For instance, when mentioning the kinship relation between the Ethiopian people residing in the border and those people residing Burco town of Somalia. Let that we can be brothers and sisters, yet we have a different nationalities. As Mr Ahmed D. Hussein Cited on his article the Ethiopian Somali region people commonly shared with other people of Somalia language, religion and culture, inter-marriage but we have different nationality which is Ethiopian nationality and we are a part and parcel of the Ethiopian nations and nationalities and peoples in terms of nationality Therefore, we strongly say no to further misunderstanding of our Ethiopian nationality with the nationality of Somali people residing in Somalia in general, be it Somaliland and the rest of Somalia as happened before H.E the president of Abdi Mohamoud Omar came into power. The most respected and genuine president ever came across Somali region of Ethiopia, he dramatically changed black history of our region and opened a new golden historic page for people of Ethiopian Somali region through his leadership quality :- Ahmed Deeq. So we advise this writer, his colleagues and the Somaliland press to refrain from continues bad motives and conspiracy towards the development of the Ethiopian Somali region. Finally, I would like to give special appreciation Mr Ahmed Deeq Hussein for his tireless efforts to initiate & advocate educated elites of region to respond any unethical articles and fabricated propaganda against Ethiopian Somali Region wellbeing.
