2 Background ANSAR Foundation has been working in Rajanpur for over three years. Rajanpur is situated in the Southwest of Punjab to the west of the Indus River. Agriculture (mainly cotton and sugarcane) is the main source of income for the area due to an established canal irrigation system. It comprises mainly villages from which most of the inhabitants work the land under a feudal system run by local landlords. So, although the lands are fertile the inhabitants remain in poverty due to exploitation by land owners. The reasons ANSAR Foundation has selected Rajanpur as an area for support is summarized below: The villages in this district are not at the forefront of mainstream charity appeals or media coverage and thus forgotten about in Pakistan. The landlords do little to support or develop the infrastructure of the region. The people have suffered greatly from recent flooding and little has been done in terms of compensation or rebuilding. From the donations received this year ANSAR Foundation purchased 8 cows which were sacrificed and the meat distributed to the poor across different areas. This report aims to provide a photo record of the completion of the project in order to fulfill our pledge to our donors for accountability of ensuring their charity reaches the people it was intended for.

3 Cow Number 1 The first cow was sacrificed and the meat distributed amongst the poor in Shahwali, Tehsil Rojhan of Rajanpur. As per the instruction of the donor the seven shares for this cow were as follows; 1. Prophet Muhammad s.a.w 2. Muhammad Yunus 3. Mrs Noorunnisa Yunus 4. Mrs Obeeda Yunus 5. Miss Jamila Yunus 6. Miss Hanaa Yunus 7. Master Zaki Yunus

4 Cow Number 2 The second cow was sacrificed and the meat distributed amongst the poor in Shahwali, Tehsil Rojhan of Rajanpur. As per the instruction of the donors the seven shares for this cow were as follows; 1. Mumtaz Hussain 2. Taj Begum Hussain 3. Shahjahan Hussain 4. Khadeejah Hussain 5. Joweriah Saeed 6. Afia Saeed 7. Sharaf Deen

5 Cow Number 3 The third cow was sacrificed and the meat distributed amongst the poor in Rajanpur city. As per the instruction of the donors the seven shares for this cow were as follows; 1. 8 Cow Number 6 The sixth cow was sacrificed and the meat distributed amongst the poor in Mehrewala, Fazilpur, Rajanpur. 9 Cow Number 7 The seventh cow was sacrificed and the meat distributed amongst the poor in Moza Sindh Gabol, Rajanpur.
