The breathtaking views of the snow-capped peaks as well as the views of Tibetan countryside will make you an unforgettable journey. Witness Buddhist prayer ceremonies, visit the homes of local Tibetans and observe religious customs to give you and insight into the Tibetan life and religious practices. After exploring the lake and surrounding area, we will follow the 3-day pilgrimage trail trek around the holy mountain to complete an once-in-a-lifetime Kora or Parikrama. Afterwards, we drive back to Kathmandu. Our Itinerary for You: Day 01: Arrival and Transfer to Hotel in Kathmandu (1350m) Upon your arrival a representative of Snowy Horizon will give you reception in our International Airport (TIA) and transfer to your confirmed accommodation in a private/ tourist car/van/hiace/bus (Depending on group size) for overnight in BB Plan. Day 02: Rest, sightseeing, preparation, assignment and briefing. Snowy horizon organizes a half day city tour in and around Kathmandu Valley to make you live touch with the monuments, temples and monasteries such as durbar square, Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath or Swayambhunath etc. and provide you leisure time for rest and preparation for next trip to Tibet and evening briefing at your hotel or at the office. Day 03: Kathmandu to Lhasa Flight and Transfer to Hotel (3,650m) A Snowy Horizon representative will drop you to TIA for trip departure to Lhasa with your Tibet Permit and Visit Visa papers by China Air in the morning and after a 70 minute fly over the Higher mountains between Mt. Everest and Mt. Kanchenjunga its Tibet agent will give you welcome reception at Lhasa Gonggar Airport (LXA) with a 4WD vehicle to drive 60km in the completely smooth and blacktopped high way to Lhasa City and assist you to check in at your confirmed accommodation with BB Plan.Lhasa is situated on the north bank of Kyi-chu River and in the Tibetan language means "Place of the Gods". Rest is important today as you acclimatize to the rarefied atmosphere of this high altitude city. Day 04: Sightseeing in and Around Lhasa Today the Tibetan English speaking guide will take you to visit Potala Palace, Ramoche Monastery and the Norbulingka. Potala Palace, the erstwhile home of the Dalai Lama, was built in 637 AD atop a single hill by the Tibetan king, Songtsen Gampo. 2 garden in Tibet. Your overnight accommodation with BB Plan will be at the same as previous day. Day 05: Sightseeing in and Around Lhasa In the second day of Lhasa sightseeing, you will be taken to visit Sera Monastery, Jokhang Monastery and Barkhor Market. The Sera Monastery, 5 km north of Lhasa, is one of Lhasa's prettiest monasteries and once upon a time sheltered a community of more than 5,000 monks. Jokhang Monastery, situated in the heart of Old Lhasa, houses, Tibet's most precious religious relic, a golden Sakyamuni Buddha which was brought as a gift by the Chinese Princess Wen Cheng on the occasion of her wedding to the Tibetan King, Songtsen Gampo. Your overnight accommodation with BB Plan will be at the same as previous day. Day 06: Lhasa to Gyantse Drive (3950) Today, after having breakfast your trip starts by drive from Lhasa to Gyantse (3950m) about 260km distance and it takes about seven hours to reach in the destination. While driving you will cross the passes named Kamba La (4794m) and Karo La (5010m) in between these two high passes your trail passing a long drive along the beach of the beautiful and emerge Lake called Yamadroke-Tso with the view of its panorama attaching with some snowcapped mountains in the south. Your overnight accommodation with BB Plan will be set at the hotel/lodge in Gyantse. Day 07: Gyantse to Shigatse Drive (3,900m) After having breakfast our guide will take you to visit Khumbum Stupa (Chorten) and Phalkor Monastery at Gyantse then drive to Shigatse (Xigatse) in an altitude of 3900m. After 90km drive in about two hours you will reach Shigatse and visit one of the oldest Panchen Lamas Tashilhunpo Monastery and accommodation with BB Plan in the Hotel at this town. Shigatse is second largest city in Tibet. Day 08: Drive from Shigatse to Shegar (4,050 m) the New Tingri Shegar is also known as New Tingri. From Shigatse you will be taken by drive to Shegar to be prepared for drive to Rongbuk to explore Mt. Everest base camp the next day. About 200km drive and 4 hours of time will be lost to complete this journey. Your overnight accommodation with BB Plan will be set at the hotel/lodge in Shegar. Day 09: Shegar to Rongbuk (4,980m) After having breakfast we drive to the Rongbuk Monastery via the Pang-La pass. It is situated below the giant north face of Mt. Everest. The 90 km from Shegar to Rongbuk should approximately take three hours of driving to traverse and you can enjoy spectacular views of Mt. Everest (8,848m), Mt. Cho Oyu (8,201m) and Mt. 3 Day 10: Excursion to Everest Base Camp (North Face) (5,150 m) and drive to Tingri After an early morning two-hour trek from the Rongbuk Monastery to the Everest Base Camp (North Face) and back, drive from there to Tingri about 145 km which should take approximately five hours. Your overnight accommodation with BB Plan will be set at the hotel/lodge in Tingri. Day 11: Tingri to Saga Drive (4,580m) After having breakfast we will drive you from Tingri to Saga. The 216 km drive from Tingri to Saga should take approximately six hours. The overnight accommodation with BB Plan will be set at the hotel/lodge in Tingri. Day 12: Saga to Paryang Drive (4,750m) From Saga after having breakfast your drive starts for Paryang about 255 km away and should take approximately seven hours to be there. During the drive you will cross Zhongba on the way and will be accommodate at hotel/guest house and provided all meals cooked by our Day 13: Paryang to Lake Manasarovar Drive (4,560 m) After having breakfast in the morning from Paryang our driver will take you to Lake Manasarovar (Chiu Village) driving about 260 km and takes nearly six to seven hours to reach there and then you will be accommodate at hotel/guest house/tented camp and Day 14: Lake Manasarovar to Darchen Drive (4,550m) In Lake Manasarovar you will take a holy bath, take breakfast and move toward Darchen by about one hour and 30km drive where you will spend your whole leisure day for preparing to have Mt. Kailash Parikrama in the next day. In Darchen you will be accommodate at hotel/guest house/tented camp and provided all meals cooked by our Day 15: Darchen to Dirapuk Trek/Walk (4,765m) for Mt. Kailash Parikrama Today, you start your holy trek (Parikrama / Kora) in which you move for making circle for Mt. Kailash. You begin with an hour s drive towards Dirapuk, after which you have to trek for approximately four hours to reach Dirapuk. The trek offers numerous views of the western face of Mt. Kailash and its fantastically changing hues at sunrise and sunset. Also, for aged travelers and those not able to undertake the trek for fitness concerns, we can arrange a horse ride or a yak ride provided if we are informed for the same well in advance. Your accommodation will be at tented camp and you are provided all meals cooked by our Day 16: Dirapuk to Zutul-puk Trek/Walk (5,610m) This is your second day of trek around Mt. 4 complete. En-route, you will also pass Shivasthal, one of the highest points in your trek and if legend is to be believed, where Lord Shiva and his wife Parvati used to be stayed. Your accommodation will be at tented camp and you are provided all meals cooked by our Day 17: Zutul-puk to Darchen and Drive to Lake Manasarovar (4,560m) After breakfast you will start trek from Zutul-puk to Darchen, which should your about four hours time to finish the circumambulation of Mt. Kailash. You will then drive to Lake Manasarovar after an hour drive. Your accommodation will be at tented camp and you are Day 18: Drive from Lake Manasarovar to Paryang (4,750m) From Lake Manasarovar you are driving back to Paryang after passing around 260 km and it should approximately take six to seven hours to reach there. In Paryang you will be accommodate at hotel/guest house/tented camp and provided all meals cooked by our Day 19: Drive from Paryang to Saga (4,580m) Drive from Paryang to Saga which is around 255 km away and should approximately take seven hours to reach where you will be accommodate at hotel/guest house/tented camp and Day 20: Drive from Saga to Nyalam (3,700m) After about 155Kkm Drive from Saga you will reach Nyalam which should approximately take four hours where you will be accommodate at hotel/guest house/tented camp and Day 21: Nyalam to Kathmandu via Kodari Border (720m) Leave early in the morning and drive to the Kodari Border which should take approximately two hours to reach. After completing the immigration formalities, you will then cross the border and drive about four to five hours to be in Kathmandu.
