7 Diwali is known as the "Festival of Lights". It is an ancient Hindu festival celebrated in autumn every year. Diwali night falls between mid-october and mid- November. Before Diwali night, people clean, renovate and decorate their homes. On Diwali night, Hindus dress up in new clothes, light up diyas (lamps) inside and outside their home; participate in family puja typically to Lakshmi - the goddess of wealth and prosperity. After prayers, fireworks follow, then a family feast and an exchange of gifts between family members and close friends take place. This festival personifies that all the darkness will be ruined and our lives will be filled with light of peace and happiness.

9 DON T WASTE FOOD, IT AIN T GOOD, POEM DON T WASTE FOOD PEOPLE COMING TO OUR DOOR, ALWAYS ASKING FOR MORE. MILLIONS DIE DUE TO THE LACK OF FOOD,SO IS THEIR FATE, BUT WE RE LUCKY TO HAVE EVERY TIME ENOUGH IN OUR PLATE. AND TO GROW THE FOOD WE SO COMFORTABLY EAT,RATHER THAN JUST RICE AND WHEAT. FOOD IS SOMETHING YOU SHOULD NOT WASTE, EVEN IF YOU DON T LIKE THE TASTE. ABOUT THE POOR YOU SHOULD ALWAYS THINK, AND DON T WASTE ANY FOOD OR DRINK ONLY DRINK AND EAT WHAT YOU NEED, TAKING TOO MUCH IS CALLED GREED EAT IT,TASTE IT BUT DO NOT WASTE IT
10 Diwali Diwali is celebrated in October 23 to November. Diwali Is celebrated because Lord Rama, King of Ayodhya, his wife Sita and brother Lakshmana returned to Ayodhya after a 14 year exile. They had fought a war in which he killed the demon king Ravana. The people of Ayodhya lit diyas or oil lamps in rows. Basically Diwali is a three day celebration. The first day of Diwali is Dhanteras. We draw rangolis with colored sand to welcome guests. We arrange oil diyas around the house, people buy something for the house or some jewelry for the women of the house. The next day is Kali Chaudas is also called Chhoti Diwali. On the dark new moon night, the entrances to all homes are lit up and decorated with rangoli patterns to welcome Lakshmi, the radiant consort of Vishnu and the goddess of wealth and lustre. Lakshmi Puja is performed on this day. The day ends with a mega cracker bursting sessions. For 5-6 hours, every family burns fire crackers worth thousands of rupees. Popular fire crackers are sparkling pots, bombs, rockets etc. & that s how we celebrate Diwali Breast Cancer awareness programme We had an assembly on the topic breast cancer, a doctor had delivered a speech on the topic breast cancer, the preventive measures, what are the symptoms etc. She had also talked about different check-ups that women and men should take once in year. She had told that we should spread the awareness about breast cancer.
