1 Chapter 1 Revelation Of The Holy Spirit The Bible first mentions the Holy Spirit in the book of Genesis. Before the beginning of the heavens and the earth, God was present. Before God created the earth, He began, for God always existed. The Bible is an earth book, not a heaven book. It was written to mankind to teach him the laws and principles that will enable him to understand how he is to live on this earth and develop a relationship with his Creator. The Word of God has very little to say about heaven, but a lot to say about earth. When you begin to study the Bible, you will discover the need to throw away some of your

2 The Holy Spirit traditional church songs. These are the songs that cause you to become heaven bound rather than earth bound. The Word of God says, "The meek shall inherit the earth". Do not throw away your inheritance!! God is beginning to bring the Church into fresh revelation. We are beginning to understand that God has'a plan for this planet that we inhabit!! It is critical for you to realize that, in order to fulfill the purpose of God on this earth, you MUST be empowered with the Holy Ghost!! It is dangerous to live in this day and hour without Him! You need the supernatural power and guidance of the Holy Ghost in order to survive in this day and age! God is raising up a prophetic generation in this hour who is going to be acquainted with the works of the Holy Ghost! The drugs in our streets are a problem generated by witchcraft and offers the user a false sense of security and power that can only be found in God. Drugs are like a witch's potion that causes the minds of men and women to become disillusioned, and to lose sight - of purpose and destiny. It is a satanic plot to strip you of your direction on earth so that your potential would putrefy and rot in the stench of the grave. You must be filled or empowered by the Holy Ghost in order to fight the demonic onslaught that generates from the pit of hell. The Holy Spirit and Purpose "In the beginning, God created the heaven and

3 Revelation Of The Holy Spirit the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God rnoved upon the face of the waters." Genesis 1:l-2 In the beginning of time, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was "void", which means it was "without purpose". The earth was in existence with various life forms upon it, but the purpose of God for the planet had not yet been revealed. We know that destiny is not left up to chance, but rather, it is a matter of choice. God had not yet spoken to the earth about the direction that it was to go, so it was without purpose. Your life will remain void of purpose until God speaks a word in your ear. You need a "rhema" from God if you want direction--a "rhema" is simply a fresh, tailor-made word that only you can wear that will depict the pathway that He has destined for your life. Without a prophetic word, you will perish. Without a redemptive revelation from God, you are a wanderer. When you have a revelation from God, you will be successful. As long as you live without a redemptive revelation from God, you will remain without form and void. You will lack the discernment of your true purpose for being on this earth and you will live on the meager strength of your vain imaginations.

4 The Holy Spirit The people who become successful in life are individuals who are happy in their work. It has been proven that 80% of the work force consists of people who do not like the work that they are doing. If you are going into a field primarily for the financial benefits, you,are going into it for the wrong reason, because your future is not in your job, but rather, it's locked up within you and your willingness to seek God and discern your purpose. The individual who goes through life dissatisfied with their employment cowers in a web of frustration, and is haunted by the knowledge that they've been defeated by their fears and excuses. You are sent into the earth for a purpose, and it behooves each of us to discover our portion in God. "...The Spirit of God moved lipon the face of the waters." Genesis 1:2 This was the first mention Scripture of the Spirit of - God, and He was MOVING. This lets us know that the Holy Spirit doesn't sit still. Another point is that He was moving across the face of deep--moving over that which lacked form and was void. His movements began to create life in the presence of death and destruction. The Holy Spirit is still moving today. He is hovering over the areas in your life which are without form and void. The Holy Spirit is moving

5 Revelation Of The Holy Spirit over the lives of your loved ones who are marked for destruction. He is moving all over the earth. The Spirit of God is still upon all flesh. I wonder if He is waiting for us to prophesy, because when we start to prophesy, we invoke the Presence and activity of the Holy Spirit. When we start to prophesy, we begin to see the tangible evidence of the Holy Spirit in our lives. The Holy Spirit is here and is waiting for you to get a revelation of the truths of the Word of God and speak them forth into your life. Then the Holy Ghost can move upon those words to perform them. God's hands are tied on earth until He reveals His purpose to a man and it is declared to be so. Once you begin to understand who you are in Christ, you will no longer feel inferior; you will go boldly to the throne of grace in confidence, knowing that the Father's ears are attentive to your voice. There are some responses to God that have become a format of our traditional religiosity. It is not necessary to bow your heads when you come to the throne of grace. Jesus lifted up His eyes to heaven to pray, with His eyes open. We need to have our heads up and our eyes open. The bowing needs to be in the attitude of the heart and not necessarily the positioning of the body, though there are times when, in the expression of our worship unto God, it is

6 The Holy Spirit appropriate to physically bow and lie prostrate in His Presence. The Discovery of Truth When something is first mentioned in the Bible, it will continue,on with that same meaning or identity throughout the Scripture. You will be able to then follow that key throughout Scripture. This is how we learned that satan is an adversary. When he was in the Garden, he came to deceive. He will always come to deceive. He attempts to cause people to doubt the Word of God. You need to overcome the urge to doubt the Word of God. The Word of God is infallible---there are no mistakes in the Bible. The Word of God is life changing in its divine essence. The devil knows what is written in the Scriptures. You cannot fight him with a testimony or what you have heard the preacher say. You can only fight and overcome him by saying, "It is written..." You fight the devil with the Word of God, not with your vain philosophies or scientific discoveries. The Holy Bible was written by men who were inspired by the Holy Ghost. The Word of God touches every facet of life experiences. It is the final authority in every situation and circumstance. The Bible does not set out to prove the existence of God, but assumes that you already know that He

7 Revelation Of The Holy Spirit exists. The Bible says that only a fool will say in his heart that there is no God. God's desire is that you would impact your generation with the gift that He has placed in you. The enemy will always try to smite the shepherd because he 'knows that, without a leader, the sheep will scatter. If you destroy the leader, the organization will lose its direction. Many people have lost their direction because the leadership of the Holy Spirit is not evident in their lives. The purpose of God can only be made manifest through the leadership of the Holy Ghost. The reality is that you have not chosen God, He has chosen you. God was the One who dropped the desire in your heart to make the decision to follow Him. You are where you are today because the Holy Spirit set you up to be there. "Predestinated" means "to be destined before joining." Before the foundation of the world, God determined where you would be today. You may have been walking in one direction and the Holy Spirit caused you to change your direction. You are where you are by God's omniscient design.
