The service will be a time of praising God s great redeeming love through song and prayer. It will also be a time of contemplation and prayer. At the end of the service, an opportunity will be offered for individuals to come to the altar for anointing and prayer. A person can seek healing for themselves or for others. Healing can be for physical injuries and illnesses, to mend or strengthen relationships, for peace and comfort from grief or anxiety, and for reconciliation with God.

CARILLON P AGE 3 2 nd Annual Community Easter Egg Hunt King Avenue UMC will host the 2 nd Annual Community Easter Egg Hunt at the Goodale Park Shelterhouse (120 W. Goodale St.) on Saturday, April 19.

Activities will begin at 9:30am, and we will begin the Easter Egg Hunts at 11am in three groups: children ages 4 and under; children ages 5 8; and children ages 9 and over in Goodale Park (weather

Goodale St.) on Saturday, April 19. All are welcome! Join us for a morning filled with face painting, balloon animals, parachute games, arts and crafts, breakfast treats, and lunch! Activities will begin at 9:30am, and we will begin the Easter Egg Hunts at 11am in three groups: children ages 4 and under; children ages 5 8; and children ages 9 and over in Goodale Park (weather permitting). April Special Offering On Sunday, April 27 at all three worship services a special offering will be collected during the closing hymn for Native American Ministries, which is one of the six Churchwide Special Sundays of The United Methodist Church. Native American Ministries Sunday nurtures mission with Native Americans and provides scholarships for United Methodist Native American seminarians. Please make checks payable to KING AVENUE UMC and indicate NAMS on the memo line. Our thoughts and prayers are extended to the friends & family of Mike Hunter, brother of Bill Hunter, who died on Saturday, March 15. This inspiring event will be held at McFerson Commons in downtown Columbus. This year s walk represents the largest HIV/AIDS fundraising event in the Franklin County area. Please join us for the walk by signing up with the SPECTRUM-King Ave. United Methodist Church at aidswalkcentralohio.com and search for Spectrum. You can also visit our Spectrum Facebook page to register for the walk. While controversy surrounds sexuality education programs for youth, research shows that those who received comprehensive education are 50% less likely to acquire HIV and other Sexually Transmissible Infections (STIs) or become pregnant than those who only receive messages of abstinence-only. And the need to protect our Central Ohio youth is critical. Within the state of Ohio, one of the highest rates of new HIV infections is youth ages Getting the word out that HIV still exists and there is assistance for those infected and affected by, or at risk of HIV/AIDS is the Walk's biggest goal. Coffee and goodies are always available. Please bring in your donations every Wednesdays, 6-7:30pm, Sunday after each service, or on the mornings we sort. The success of our sale depends on your donations and this in turn Spring is trying to arrive and put this frigid winter behind us! We will begin our rummage sale readiness this month with rummage sorting EVERY Monday and Thursday morning. Our sale is MAY 9, 9am-4pm, and MAY 10, 10am-2pm, so we have much to do. Luminessence examines Christin's personal relationship with beauty by deconstructing and distorting her face into sculptural installation-paintings. Twists of curled metal will transform the space by flowing up and down the surfaces of the gallery walls, capturing the essence of the artist's image through vibrant color, light and form.
