1 Omaha Area Ministry Evangelism Projects CHANGED LIFE CHURCH, Omaha: A church desiring to balance multiplying disciple making small groups with high quality large group worship MINISTRY PROJECTS: Bible Clubs, Basketball Clinic, Block Party, Prayer Walking, Community Service and Surveying. To enhance community awareness of the church by promoting CORNERSTONE CHURCH, LaVista: an established small church in a growing area MINISTRY PROJECTS: They would like to have a team help them with their community carnival on June 20. They will be doing some children s ministry in the week leading up to the carnival (possibly a VBS). So, if they could get a team for the week of June that would be great. COWBOY CONNECTION, Omaha: an new affinity church targeting the western pleasure equestrian community. MINSTRY PROJECTS: They would like to do a cowboy-theme VBS. They have source for some LifeWay materials from several years ago to help with this project. NEW CHURCH PLANT, I-29 CORRIDOR Rick Posey: Seeking to start multiple small groups in multiple areas along the I-29 corridor. MINISTRY PROJECTS: Prayer walking, survey work, laundry trailer ministry, block parties, community service projects, kids clubs, drive in movie nights, senior adult ministries, identifying people of peace, personal street evangelism. (Training for prayer walking and street evangelism will be provided.) TRIPOINTE BAPTIST CHURCH, Papillion: An innovative coffee house based congregation based in old town Papillion MINISTRY PROJECTS: Easter outreach event, help lead a Worship experience, Prayer WESTSIDE SOUTH OMAHA CAMPUS, Omaha: A satellite campus of Westside Church being developed to reach into the huge Hispanic community of south Omaha MINISTRY PROJECTS: Backyard Bible Club, Block Party, develop musical event, Prayer Walking and Surveying. To enhance community awareness of the new church by promoting Omaha Area Maintenance and Construction Projects GOD S MISSIONARY CHURCH, Omaha: This is an African American congregation that is in the process of building a new building. Many lost and un-churched people live in the area where they are building. CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS: The congregation is in the midst of a building project. The metal shell is completed, and they can use help with every phase of construction.

2 EASTERN NEBRASKA BAPTIST ASSOCIATION: ENBA owns three properties in the Omaha area: ENBA office building, Omaha Baptist Center, and Terrace Drive Property. Most of the mission teams who serve in the Omaha area stay in the ENBA building. In addition to being the offices for ENBA our building hosts an International Campus Ministry, a Chinese church, an Anglo church, a Sudanese Church, and the Heartland Center for Continuing Education. The Omaha Baptist Center is home to three churches: OBC Congregation (primarily Native American), Set Free Church (a residential ministry and church), and Arabic Community Church (primarily Sudanese church). Often times a team will do ministry projects with one of our church planters and will assist us with some of our construction and maintenance needs. There is an extensive list of construction and maintenance items associated with these properties. MATTHEW S MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, Omaha This is an African- American congregation close to the Creighton University campus. CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS: Carpentry (rebuilding steps west rear entrance and front entrance, electrical work. Omaha Area Combination Ministry Evangelism & Construction Projects NEW BEGINNINGS COMMUNITY CHURCH, Omaha: This newer African American church had outgrown their first building and bought a 16,000 sq ft former Presbyterian Church building. The building needed a lot of TLC! Teams have assisted the church in the past and the building is looking much nicer, but still has some opportunities for improvement. MINISTRY PROJECTS: Vacation Bible School, Backyard Bible Clubs, Block Party, preach Sunday Sermon, Prayer Walking and Surveying. The above will be used in the community to bring further awareness of the Church in their new area, to promote events and provide prospects for their Church CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS: Rooms inside the Church need painted, Electrician to add outlets and lighting fixtures. The church could use assistance with the purchase of materials. Your Team Can Do One or any Combination of the Above Projects. PRINCE OF PEACE BAPTIST CHURCH, Omaha: This is a more established African American congregation with a new younger pastor. They have always done a great job of hosted teams. MINISTRY PROJECTS: Evening Vacation Bible School for children, youth and adults, Backyard Bible Clubs, preach the Sunday Sermon, Evangelism, Witnessing, and Block Party. Go Door-To-Door in area around the Church to invite people to activities also give them a flyer. CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS: Build an addition to the existing carport and relocate a light post from the parking lot to the rear of Church.

3 SET FREE CHURCH, North Omaha: A residential drug and alcohol intervention church that is doing a satellite outreach center in North Omaha. MINISTRY PROJECTS: Backyard Bible Clubs, Block Party, Worship/Music events, Prayer CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS: Carpeting, moving walls, framing, finish work, plumbing, electrical, concrete, dry walling, and painting in an older building. This is a rental property in a high traffic area. Lincoln Area Ministry Evangelism Projects COMMUNITY HARVEST, Lincoln: This is a growing newer church that is reaching its community. The Team s service will help support the church in reaching more of their community. Their VBS is the biggest outreach in the community and last year they reached 144 children with the gospel. FYI: Normally about 80% of the VBS enrollments are un-churched children. Preferred team size is MINISTRY PROJECTS: Vacation Bible School, Drama, Door-to-Door promotion, Evangelism skills, and Prayer Walking. TRI-COMMUNITY FELLOWSHIP, Lincoln: A church ministering to three mobile home parks in north-central Lincoln MINISTRY PROJECTS: Bible Clubs, Soccer Clinic, Block Party, help lead a Worship experience, Prayer Walking and Surveying. To enhance community awareness of the church by promoting Lincoln Area Combination Ministry Evangelism & Construction OPENS ARMS CHURCH, Lincoln: Smaller house church with a developing outreach to inner city. Pastor Bob Vance would love to have a team come and help do a VBS/Block Party. In addition they sustained some storm damage, lost some shingles- They do have some replacement shingles. Plus they are looking at painting the outside of the house. Ministry Evangelism Projects in other Communities SPRINGFIELD BAPTIST CHURCH, Springfield bedroom community to Omaha. This is the only evangelical church in the community. MINISTRY PROJECTS: City Park Bible Club, Block Party, preach Sunday Sermon, Prayer WESTSIDE FREMONT CAMPUS, Fremont: A newer satellite campus of Westside Church, Omaha in the growing city of Fremont. MINISTRY PROJECTS: Vacation Bible School, Block Party, Prayer Walking and Surveying. To enhance community awareness of the church by promoting events and identifying prospects for the church

4 Ministry Evangelism & Construction Projects in other Communities BEACON OF HOPE CHURCH, Grand Island: Newer congregation in Nebraska's third largest metropolitan area. MINISTRY PROJECTS: Pre Easter and Easter weekend events, VBS, Block Party, Worship/Music events, Prayer Walking and Surveying. Possible car show outreach. To enhance community awareness of the church by promoting events and identifying prospects for the church CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS: Remove and replace shingles on roof. Rebuild Porch on west side of church building. CALVARY BAPTIST CHURCH, North Platte: This is an older congregation that is unable to facilitate many of these projects on its own. They are in need of a couple of construction teams as well as ministry teams. They can host teams up to about 20 people at the church. If necessary they can help with some meals. Other than June 17-27, any week would work between May 17 th and August 16th. MINISTRY PROJECTS: VBS Team. We need a team that could come in and facilitate a VBS during the summer. We currently average about 20 children for VBS but have the ability to reach hundreds more. There are children all around us but they are very busy during the evenings. The few workers we do have also work during the day when the children are free. Sports evangelism team(s). Again we have large numbers of children living around us but we do not have the workers to reach them currently. We would like to host one or several sports camps this summer as a way to reach out to them. We could run them along with the VBS or as separate events. CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS: Remodeling / Building a shower room within the building. We have a couple of different rooms that could be transformed into shower rooms as a way of aiding mission teams in this area. We need skilled people to oversee all aspects of the construction project. 2. Basement wall repair. We have a basement wall that needs to be excavated and then resealed from the outside. Ground water has penetrated the wall and is causing it to crumble from on the inside. CROSSROADS COMMUNIT CHURCH, Red Oak, IA: This is a new congregation. MINISTRY PROJECTS: They would like to do door to door, and are planning on starting Celebrate Recovery once they are in their new building. They would also like to do a block party to get people in the community to the building and hear about their ministry. This summer they want to have another VBS and another booth at the county fair. CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS: Crossroads is in the midst of purchasing a building. They are out growing their current rental space and are restrained by time as well as ministry opportunities. They will need crews to help put in another handicap accessible restroom,

5 sound room, nursery area, baptistery, stage, lay some carpet, put drywall up, rewire electricity, partition off classrooms, and run duct work for heating and cooling. NEW LIFE COMMUNITY, Friend Small Town Church West of Lincoln. Date of Service preferred to start on July 20 th, July 27, or August 3. Team size of MINISTRY PROJECTS: Vacation Bible School, Backyard Bible Club, Ministry to Youth, Prayer Walking and Evangelism Sports Clinic, Block Party or Park Event. These ministries are use to reach the Community, and give awareness of the Church and to advertise events. CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS: Need drywall installed in Church and Servant Evangelism Projects for Senior Adults, Single Parent Families, etc. such as painting, light construction, etc. This would give a positive awareness of the Church in the Community. NORTH PARK BAPTIST CHURCH, Columbus/ Fremont: This is a growing congregation in Columbus using a satellite model in Fremont. CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS: Fremont location needs some repair work. Gutters, possible roof issues and paint. OTOE BIBLE FELLOWSHIP, Otoe: A newer small town congregation. This is the only SBC work in the county. MINISTRY PROJECTS: Backyard Bible Club, Block Party, Prayer Walking and Surveying. To enhance community awareness of the church by promoting events and identifying prospects for the church CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS: Carpeting, moving partitions and painting in a first unit building. This is a single-wide mobile home. PREPLANNED MISSION OPPORTUNITY LIFECHANGER MISSION, Sioux City: This is a World Changers type of event.
