1 Paul wrote, I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. (Romans 12:1) Sacrifice necessitates cost. There is no sacrifice without a cost. David instinctively knew this in II Samuel 24 where we read,... neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the LORD my God of that which doth cost me nothing. So David bought the threshingfloor... (24). If David would have accepted Araunah s generous offer, the sacrifice would have been Araunah s, not David s. This threshing floor was on Mount Moriah. David bought the mount, built an altar and offered sacrifices interceding on behalf of God s people, Israel. This was a special piece of property. Here Abraham offered Isaac (Genesis 22). On the same spot Solomon later constructed his magnificent temple (I Chr. 22:1; II Chr. 3:1).

5 missionaries to THE JALOWIEC FAMILY ZAMBIA JAN/FEB 2015 www. ReachingZambiaForChrist.com Chipata, Zambia Not only to do...but also to be forward a year ago 2 Cor 8:10 These last two months have been full of many changes and transitions and have kept us before the Throne of God in prayer. As always, He is faithful! In January we packed up our belongings and stored them in different places around Chipata for a short stateside furlough. We had hoped to secure housing for our return, but the Lord knew the plans he has for us! We arrived safely in Rochester, NY, to sub-freezing temperatures but a warm welcome by friends and family! Our schedule has been full visiting our home church s Bible studies and Sunday School groups and sharing what the Lord has been doing in and around Chipata, Zambia. Initially, our return was for our daughter s wedding in April and also to visit a few of our supporting churches nearby. With the wonderful news of our son also getting engaged, they have scheduled a wedding this fall and we will be extending our stay a few more months. This also affords us the opportunity to visit a few more churches and reconnect with more of our prayer and support team. The preaching and teaching of the Word of God continue on at Big Tree as well as with the young ladies Bible studies. We are grateful for other missionary friends who can keep in the work while we are gone. Please continue to pray for the people of Muliliwa Village as they are cut off due to the rains. Technology has allowed us to keep in contact with many of our friends in Zambia, and we always get excited when we see an out-of-country call on our phones! It is hard to be away from them all but it also gives them opportunity to seek the Lord more on their own and continue to walk closer with him. Growing pains are just that, painful, however they do make us stronger. We are grateful to be home with our children to help them make some very important life changing decisions and offer Biblical counsel face to face. We have seen God s perfect hand of direction with us being here evidenced in many circumstances already, and we praise him for his wonderful grace and mercy everyday. Praying the Lord shows himself mighty on your behalf! Praises Dan is scheduled to help in the teaching at a men s conference at the end of March, and Janice is preparing to teach a ladies conference in May. We are both very thankful for these opportunities to be used by God! We have several out of town meetings that will begin in May. Thankful for the opportunity to share what The Lord has been doing in Chipata! Great reports from the Þeld of the churches, and the Bible studies that continue in our absence. Pray for our partners on the Þeld! Prayer Needs Traveling to meetings starting in May. Our housing: we still have alot of unknown regarding our housing, both stateside and once we return to Zambia. Pray for Big Tree Bible Baptist, as well as the people of Chinjala and Muliliwa villages. Language studies while we are stateside. For the Weddings all the preparation that goes into that!
