However, you can go ahead and access all of the charge conference information and forms on the CAN website here Minimum Salaries and Pension Calculations click here Apportionment Amounts will be available in early October 2019 Health Insurance rates will be available in mid-october Additional Boundaries Training Offered October 24 This will be the last Boundaries Training offered in the West Ohio Conference. Any clergy who has not yet attended must register for this training on October 24 th at Etna UMC. Register here. Registration will close on October 10. If you paid for a training previously but could not attend, you will need reregister and pay again for this training. UM Community Ministries 2019 Grant Applications Available Community Ministries and both Districts have met to vision about how we encourage our churches to take faith-filled steps to live into their missional identity. UMCM has three areas of focus for eligibility for ministry grants transforming communities, discipleship pathways, and sustainability. For churches who demonstrate their understanding of these focus points, UMCM may provide grant funding to support these missional endeavors. Read more here The application links can be found here. Training Offered to Help Your Congregation Welcome LGBTQ Persons and Their Families November 10 What does your church need to know to embrace LGBTQ persons and their families? How can your church be more welcoming? These and other questions will be the focus of a workshop that will be offered on Saturday, November 10, 2018, at the Hilliard United Methodist Church, 5445 Scioto Darby Rd, Hilliard from 9:30 am to 3:45 pm. 6 Heart of the City Walk September 30 The Heart of the City Foundation invites you to the 10th Annual Heart of the City Walk, Sunday, September 30 at 2:30 p.m. Join us at Broad Street United Methodist Church for an approximately 3-mile walk through downtown Columbus, with stops along the way to learn about interesting landmarks and buildings. This is a great family event! Afterwards, there is food and live music and a few "all in fun" awards for walkers. There is a free gift for all walkers, too! Refugee Issues Opening Our Hearts, Minds, and Souls October 7 Sunday, October 7, 4:00 pm 5:30 pm, at Powell UMC, 825 E. Olentangy St., Powell. The Peace and Justice Team will host an event at our church to offer an opportunity for all to learn about and discuss the global refugee crisis and Central Ohio s resettlement of some refugees. A former refugee and current Columbus area resident will share his/her story of fleeing from persecution and finding a new home here. Register here. 8 Aspire Women s Event October 14 Aspire is a one-night, three-hour event just for women, full of laughter, learning, stories, and music.
