1 Holy Hour for Vocations Objective: This Holy Hour is intended to create an atmosphere of prayer and encounter with God, where youth and Young adults may place themselves before God in an attitude of total abandonment. God has his project of love for us and we can give him our lives. Let us pray that we understand the importance of following him in the paths that He is showing us. What is abandonment? 1. The attitude of abandonment is when one gives himself/herself to a cause or person. In this case we had been invited to give our life to God. 2. We can give our life to God because we trust in him and we believe that he can give us life and love. 3. Abandonment to God will is possible only when we recognize that our call is a gift from God. He is the one who invites us to follow in his steps like he did with his disciples.

2 1. Opening Hymn and Exposition of Blessed Sacrament (canto: Jaire track 5) 2. Guide Lord Jesus, we have come before you this day. Allow us to be here in your loving presence with a humble heart. We are here with you. We know that you love us and you came to save us. Thank for the give of life. We are a community that believe in your plan of salvation. We want to be open to your will and to give our lives to you. Jesus in your life you sought tirelessly the will of the Father. We encounter his will in your daily life. We are here to give ourselves to the father too. Give us your Holy Spirit that we may transform our hearts and be filled with the presence of your love. We abandon ourselves into your hands and we entrust our lives to your kingdom. We abandon our life in your presence. Thank you accepting and being with us. This day we want to life for you. We have come to adore you and be with you. 3. Moment of Silence We invite you that in a moment of silence to ask for the presence of the Holy Spirit. Invoke the Spirit and ask that the Holy Spirit be present in your life. 4. Reading from Conchita s Diary (CC 1,32) My Jesus: thank you, thank you. Grant that I may love you with unselfish love, and give my all for you. Grant, in addition to many graces, the one of overcoming without exhausting my human nature and heart inclined always to gifts and opposed to sacrificial love. Fortify my weak will with your help, and by your bountiful goodness which has opened the eyes of my soul by placing it on the path that leads to heaven, allow that I may never regress even it feels tired or is bleeding from the many thorns found therein. Oh, when will I be all yours, when will you take away from my shoulders that heavy cross that only you know Lord, my good Jesus? Oh, my Jesus, forgive me! Is it not true that to suffer is the most perfect for the martyrdom of this soul by doing your will? Lord, yet sometimes the desires for such great purity, of complete poverty, and blind obedience presses upon me. Hold me Jesus, see that I m yours, all yours, with soul, life and heart, in my affection and all else you will know what you want of me Sometimes the thought, without even fully knowing, comes to me when at times I contemplate how grace works in my soul. I do not know Lord if you are preparing me for something I am unaware of.

Scripture Reading: John, Jesus said to them, "My food is to do the will of the one who sent me and to finish his work. Do you not say, 'In four months the harvest will be here'? I tell you, look up and see the fields ripe for the harvest. The reaper is already receiving his payment and gathering crops for eternal life, so that the sower and reaper can rejoice together. For here the saying is verified that 'One sows and another reaps. I sent you to reap what you have not worked for; others have done the work, and you are sharing the fruits of their work." (John 4) What calls your attention after hearing this gospel passage proclaimed? What is the food that we need? Have we been invited to sow and reap in the Lord s vineyard? How do you feel? What is the deepest feeling in your heart? What invitation is the Lord prompting in you? Do you accomplish his will? How? 7. Moment of Silence In this moment of silence we invite you to offer to God the same response of Isaiah. Repeat in your heart: Here I am Lord, send me. Repeat it several times and place yourself in a disposition of listening to God and what he is asking of you. Tell him that your desire is to discern his will for you and that you want to help him in the work of salvation. Make of this moment an encounter of listening. We invite you to listen to the beating of your heart. Relax and find God s voice in the depths of your interior.pray now, contemplate the presence of the Lord in the Blessed Sacrament. He is here because he desires to speak to you. Open your heart and listen to him. Do not be afraid. Give yourself to him Ask for his presence and strength in your life. 8. Psalm 5 Give ear to my words, O LORD; understand my sighing. Attend to the sound of my cry, my king and my God! For to you I will pray, LORD; 4in the morning you will hear my voice; in the morning I will plead before you and wait. You are not a god who delights in evil; no wicked person finds refuge with you;

4 6the arrogant cannot stand before your eyes. You hate all who do evil; you destroy those who speak falsely. A bloody and fraudulent man the LORD abhors. But I, through the abundance of your mercy, * will enter into your house. I will bow down toward your holy sanctuary out of fear of you. 9LORD, guide me in your justice because of my foes; make straight your way before me. For there is no sincerity in their mouth; their heart is corrupt. Their throat is an open grave; on their tongue are subtle lies. 1Declare them guilty, God; make them fall by their own devices. Drive them out for their many sins; for they have rebelled against you. Then all who trust in you will be glad and forever shout for joy. You will protect them and those will rejoice in you who love your name. For you, LORD, bless the just one; you surround him with favor like a shield.

5 9. Hymn: Oh Lord, hear my prayer (Taize). Reading taken from Pope Francis Evangelii Gaudium #3 10. Petitions I invite all Christians, everywhere, at this very moment, to a renewed personal encounter with Jesus Christ, or at least an openness to letting him encounter them; I ask all of you to do this unfailingly each day. No one should think that this invitation is not meant for him or her, since no one is excluded from the joy brought by the Lord.[1] The Lord does not disappoint those who take this risk; whenever we take a step towards Jesus, we come to realize that he is already there, waiting for us with open arms. Now is the time to say to Jesus: Lord, I have let myself be deceived; in a thousand ways I have shunned your love, yet here I am once more, to renew my covenant with you. I need you. Save me once again, Lord, take me once more into your redeeming embrace. How good it feels to come back to him whenever we are lost! Let me say this once more: God never tires of forgiving us; we are the ones who tire of seeking his mercy. Christ, who told us to forgive one another seventy times seven (Mt 18:22) has given us his example: he has forgiven us seventy times seven. Time and time again he bears us on his shoulders. No one can strip us of the dignity bestowed upon us by this boundless and unfailing love. With a tenderness which never disappoints, but is always capable of restoring our joy, he makes it possible for us to lift up our heads and to start anew. Let us not flee from the resurrection of Jesus, let us never give up, come what will. May nothing inspire more than his life, which impels us onwards! At this moment we invite those who would like to express their prayer or petitions aloud. This is the moment of your personal encounter with the Lord and an encounter with the community. God has called us and saved us in the context of a community of believers. It is not salvation offered only for me, rather a communal salvation. God wants to save us all and there is a personal and unconditional love. Open your heart and verbally express your prayer all that you want to express or be prayed for you, for others in our world. We invite all of you to pray. Express your petitions and needs to our Father. You have the Holy Spirit within you. He will guide you to pray. 11. Our Father Let us gather our hands and together pray to our Father who is heaven with the prayer that Jesus taught us. Hymn: Te ofreceré.
