4 The Seed God Provides God has provided so much for us through the seed. These Scriptures remind me how God provides everything we need. It is as simple to Him as planting a tiny seed. 5

5 All your seed belongs to God. When you honor Him with the first 10% (tithe means tenth), you position yourself for blessing. In order for seed to become food, you have to SOW it. And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD s. It is holy to the LORD. Leviticus 27:30 And God said, See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food. Genesis 1:29 6 7

6 God is our source for all growth; He supplies and multiplies seed for our physical provision AND spiritual growth. If you don t honor God with your seed, you ll end up serving others to get a new seed. Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness... 2 Corinthians 9:10 Why should we die before your eyes, both we and our land? Buy us and our land for bread, and we and our land will be servants of Pharoah; give us seed, that we may live and not die, that the land may not be desolate. Genesis 47:19 8 9

7 Good fruit only comes from good seed. If you plant bad seed, you ll get bad fruit. Then God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth ; and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. Genesis 1:

8 The Seed of God s Love for Us God loves us so much He has sown the ultimate Seed to save us His Son, Jesus Christ. 13

9 Love leads you to sow your very best seed. Don t just trust the seed process; BELIEVE in the God who created it! But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:

10 Hearing and obeying God s voice every day causes your seed to grow. The spirit of the world is greedy, but the Spirit of God leads us to freely give. Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, This is the way; walk in it.... He will also send you rain for the seed you sow in the ground, and the food that comes from the land will be rich and plentiful... Isaiah 30:21, 23 (NIV) Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. 1 Corinthians 2:

11 Because God gave us Jesus, we KNOW He ll give us everything He has. He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Romans 8:32 18

12 The Seed of the Kingdom of God Did you know that because we chose to believe in and obey Christ, God considers us His children? He even calls us His seed, just like Jesus! We are part of the Kingdom of God and are seeds He has planted in the earth for His glory. 21

13 Obedience, not knowledge, is what allows us to reap the harvest. Don t be afraid! God doesn t just watch over us He watches over our seed too! He also said, This is what the Kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the ground. Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how. All by itself the soil produces grain first the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head. As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it, because the harvest has come. Mark 4:26-29 (NIV) Therefore do not fear, O My servant Jacob, says the Lord... For behold, I will save you from afar, and your seed from the land of their captivity... For I am with you, says the Lord to save you... Jeremiah 30:

14 God s in control of EVERY part of the seed process, and He causes it to prosper. A seed ALWAYS starts small, but one seed that s sown can become great. For the seed shall be prosperous, the vine shall give its fruit, the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these. Zechariah 8:12 Then He said, To what shall we liken the Kingdom of God? Or with what parable shall we picture it? It is like a mustard seed which, when it is sown on the ground, is smaller than all the seeds on earth; but when it is sown, it grows up and becomes greater than all herbs, and shoots out large branches, so that the birds of the air may nest under its shade. Mark 4:

15 God sees you as seed seed that He wants to plant, water and grow in His garden. If we live by faith, we re Abraham s seed. God promised him that our lives would bless the nations. That is, those who are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God; but the children of the promise are counted as the seed. Romans 9:8 In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice. Genesis 22:

16 As Abraham s seed, we can also receive everything God promised him through faith. Good seed grows in every direction. It doesn t shrink back; it expands! And I will make your descendants multiply as the stars of heaven; I will give to your descendants all these lands; and in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed. Genesis 26:4 Also your descendants shall be as the dust of the earth; you shall spread abroad to the west and the east, to the north and the south; and in you and in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed. Genesis 28:

17 Sowing and Reaping When you and I sow seeds of obedience and faith, God honors us with blessing. 31

18 Sometimes sowing seed is painful, but it always leads to great joy! No matter what it looks like, the process of sowing and reaping ALWAYS comes through in the end, God always makes things right. Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy. He who continually goes forth weeping, bearing seed for sowing, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him. Psalm 126:5-6 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. Galatians 6:

19 The seed is not just about money; the same principles apply in our emotions, our relationships and our health. J udge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you. Luke 6:

20 The Seed of the Word of God The Word of God has so many seeds of life stored within its pages. That s why Sarah and I and our entire team work so hard to bring the Word to the world. 37

21 Your words are seed; be careful to plant good seed generously and to keep from sowing bad seed in your fields. God s Word is a seed that always bears abundant fruit and fulfills its purpose. So the Lord said, If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea, and it would obey you. Luke 17:6 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:

22 The seed of God s Word must be heard and applied with patience, because when it is, it produces EXPLOSIVE growth. Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God... But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience. Luke 8:11, 15 40
