We know of the Father through Jesus telling us. We know that the breath of God, the Advocate, will come and be with us, when Christ returns to the Father. It had taken almost 200 years from the time of Christ to recognize the Trinity as a Mystery. Tertullian gave us this term. Eventually, about 325AD, the Church Fathers made a declaration at Nicea, that the Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God. However, the Father is not the Son, and the Son is not the Father, and the Father and Son are not the Holy Spirit. It would take over another 100 years, at the Council of Constantinople, to expound on the Holy Spirit. In the West, Christians believe the Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father and the Son. In the East, the Holy Spirit proceded from the Father through the Son. Since the break in the early 11th Century, the schism of the two (2) greatest Christian denominations, Roman Catholic and Orthodox, have separated over this point. The Persons of the Trinity are united in Love and God is a model of how He wants us to be, by loving and caring for each other.

3 Missing Mail? I asked the post office staff why parishioners who have not moved (and had always received our mail in the past) are no longer receiving mail at the same addresses they have been living at for years. I received this response: I have spoken to our Address Management Department several times and they have said that you can tell by the way the addresses are listed on the sheet that they are addressed incorrectly. The format is incorrect. I was also told that the Cape May Post Office should be assisting you with these issues. They have the Redbook that they use for the correct way the addresses are to be addressed. Please contact the Cape May Post Office at Please ask to speak to the Postmaster/Delivery Supervisor. Though this may not answer the question as to what has changed with the acceptance of certain addresses, it does give a solution as to how you can assure all your mail is being received. If you have not been receiving mail and have not moved, you may wish to check with them, and please feel free to call me at ext. 305 if you need to update your parish record to match postal needs!
