1 ANNUAL REPORT 2016 BRANDYWINE COMMUNITY CHURCH Perry Reichanadter/photo Wow, what an amazing year we had at Brandywine in Not only did we celebrate our 25th anniversary but we served thousands of people locally, regionally and globally. Our pastors have shared many times that we ll never lock eyes with someone who doesn t matter to God, therefore they should matter to us, and our actions show that we took that message to heart. We couldn t have done it without you. Thank you for sharing God s love. WHAT AN INCREDIBLE YEAR! This Annual Report is a celebration of all that God has done in Thank you for your investment and trust in the mission of Brandywine Community Church. Our leadership team is committed to steward God s church with the highest integrity and efficiency in all He has entrusted to us. Hopefully, this report will give you a glimpse of that commitment. Every number has a name, every name has a story, every story matters to God. It is my hope that you ll be informed and inspired by this year s edition. 2 MULTIPLY WIDE EVANGELISM Gayle Corfman/photo We celebrated 439 baptisms & salvations through people connected to our church. Our second annual NIGHT IN BETHLEHEM welcomed more than 1000 visitors during 3 very cold nights hosted by 135 volunteers! 3 $136,091 The amount we donated to missions. MULTIPLY WIDE EVANGELISM Local and International Missions FOUR NEW CHURCHS WERE planted in Haiti, Brazil and the Arabian Peninsula. Two mission teams went to Haiti and a new well was drilled for the people living in the impoverished village of Drouin where Pastor Luc Joseph was raised and where many of our orphans are from. Partnering with World Renewal International we welcomed church leaders from seven countries for the International Leadership Institute Regional Conference. Locally we supported many missions, here are some: Homeless Ministry, The Landing, Talitha Koum Recovery House, The Hope Center for trafficked women, Unconditional, Harbor Lights/ Jeri Reichanadter/photo Prodigals, New Castle Men s Prison Ministry, BeloveIndy, Love INC., Safe Families & Food Pantry. New website and phone app reach people worldwide OUR NEW PHONE APP averages 300 views every Sunday. We are reaching people around the world. We re reaching people from more than 30 states, along with people from the Ukraine, Israel, India, Canada, Germany and Austrailia have tuned in to ibcc. tv to watch our services. We had 3,300 total live views in 2016 and 27,500 on demand views.

4 MULTIPLY DEEP DISCIPLESHIP Yeabsira Tabb/photo Don t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. 1 Timothy 4:12 IN 2016 OUR YOUTH MINISTRY took on a new name, time and format, 4:12 Be The Example. Our weekly ministry averaged 65 students and 25 volunteers. Several teens were baptized at the annual mud pit. Our students participated on a variety of service teams including Mountain Top, Rake-a-thon, and Peace and Good Shepherd home. SmallTown and AdventureLand average 115 kids each week and 16 of our kids were baptized in We have 75 volunteers who serve on the praise team, as small group leaders, large group teaching team, registration, nursery and preschool ministry! 5 MULTIPLY DEEP DISCIPLESHIP MORE THAN 650 PEOPLE engaged in a discipleship group of some kind: Life Groups, Recovery Groups, Men s groups, Counselor training, Women s bible study, Mothers of Preschoolers, Apples of Gold, 4th Saturday, Friendship Bible Study for disabled adults just to name a few. And, 30 life group leaders recently received leadership training through ILI Regional Conference. We are also engaged in a wide variety of additional ministries including: Worship Team, Tech Team, Stage Design, Graphics, Pastor Prayer Partners, Helping Hands, Needles of Faith, Intercessory Prayer Team, Greeting Team, Meal Ministry, 4th Saturday, and Writing group. 6 FINANCE & GIVING DEBT REDUCTION $1,186,530 The total paid to date on mortgage. MULTIPLY IS A 2-YEAR journey of bold faith and generous giving. Together, this new initiative will enable us to fulfill the vision God has given us to Multiply Deep (discipleship) and Multiply Wide (evangelism). Multiply is also designed to aggressively retire existing debt and free up our church to give more, do more, and reach more. $227,630 The total paid in 2016 on mortgage. $1,306,800 The total balance left on mortgage. $922,250 The total committed over two years above general budget for mortgage GIVING General Budget Giving: $1,368,417 General Expenses: $1,312,134 Expenses remained under budget! MISSION & OUTREACH GIVING Mission & Outreach over the last 10 years: $1 million + Mission & Outreach Giving for 2016: $136,091 10% of every dollar Brandywine receives is given to outreach. In 2016, you gave a total of $665,350 through digital giving. Digital giving makes up 41% of the total amount given for the year. A COMMITMENT TO INTEGRITY In recognition of its compliance with ECFA s Standards of Responsible Stewardship, Brandywine Community Church is accredited by the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability.
