2 Hey Kids, You are about to learn all kinds of neat things about Jesus. He will be your Friend forever and make a home in your heart. There are some basic things you should know and understand about Him. This pamphlet and class will help you. Your new life with Jesus is going to be an exciting journey. My prayer is that you share the excitement with your parents and your Kids Under Konstruction teacher as you go. May God richly bless you and your family as you get started on this life long journey. 4 FELLOWSHIP God wants to have a close relationship with you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you James 4:8 God wants to have a relationship with you. Draw to God, and He will draw to you Our relationship with God grows with prayer, by reading His Word, and by continuing to obey Him and His commands. How does our relationship with God grow? We build fellowship by going to church, attending Biblestudies, and spending quality time with other Christians. God wants us to fellowship so that we are strengthened in our life with Christ. The Bible says But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. 1 John 1:7

5 LIFE WITH CHRIST BEGINS TODAY God s Holy Spirit and His Word reveal the kind of life Jesus wants for us. You re new life with Christ starts today, not tomorrow! The Bible says I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. Galatians 2:20 Christ now lives in us, and we live by faith in Jesus who loves us and died for us! Let your teacher and your parents know you want to take this class. You will meet new friends, ask questions, and get to know Jesus!

6 MY NEW LIFE Praise God because He is so wonderful! He s given you a new life, and now you know you will go to Heaven! Remember, Jesus is with you and will always protect you. He loves you! The Bible says God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God 1 John 5: God has given us life, 2. He who has the has life; 3. If we believe in the Son of God (Jesus), we will have life. 4. How do you feel now that you have eternal life?

7 IN THE BEGINNING In the beginning, man didn t obey God, but instead he listened to the devil. In life, you and I will deal with many different decisions, both good and bad. However, if we stay focused on Jesus, the devil will not have a hold of us because we will follow by Jesus example! You see, God had an answer God had prepared for man s disobedience, and was willing to give His Son s life to pay for all of our sins. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8 God demonstrates His own love toward, in that while we were still, Christ died for us. Jesus tells us We must be born again to see the kingdom of God. Jesus answered and said to him, Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. John 3:3 Jesus says that unless we are again, we can never see the Kingdom of God. Jesus came here on earth to save us from all of our sins! When we believe and accept Jesus into our hearts, and ask God for forgiveness of our sins, we are born again!

8 GOD S PROMISE God has made a special promise to you. You see, when we accept Jesus into our hearts, Jesus tells us we will live forever with Him in heaven. But Satan doesn t want you to know that. But God is greater than Satan! God has made you His child and someday we will be with Him in heaven! What is God s promise to us? And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. 1 John 5:11-12 God has given us life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the has life; God will never let us go! Don t let Satan trick you and make you think God doesn t love you. Jesus tells us As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. John 15:9 Will God ever let you go? As the loved Me, I also have you; abide in My love.

9 REMAINING IN CHRIST God wants us to be more like Jesus every day. The Bible tells us that we need to remain in Christ. You see, we can t do anything in this life without Jesus! Does God want us to be more like Jesus? The Bible says for without Me you can do nothing. John 15:5 BUT We can do everything with Him! I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through who me. AND walking Whatever we need for our spiritual life, God will supply it! And my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 And my God shall supply your needs according to His riches in glory by.

10 SIN Sin no longer has to rule your life! Here s more great news you have been set free from the condemnation (punishment) of sin and guilt! There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. Romans 8:1-2 There is therefore now no to those who are in Christ Jesus For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me from the law of and death. God now sees you as perfect in Christ, not as a sinner! Do you know what to do when we sin? The Bible tells us: If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 If we our sins, He is faithful and just to us our sins and to us from all unrighteousness. You see, God hates sin, and wants us to keep away from it. In order to keep away from sin, we need to read God s Word. But when we do sin, we need to pray and ask God for forgiveness, and He will make us clean! Always remember Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:21

11 PRAYER Prayer is talking with God, and He is always ready to listen! Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, and He shall hear my voice Psalm 55:17 When we pray, is God always ready to listen? The Bible tells us to talk to God all the time, anywhere! Pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 1 Thessalonians 5:17-18 How often should we pray? When you pray, God will answer you and give you direction, but sometimes He answers some prayers before others. Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know. Jeremiah 33:3 Does God answer our prayers? Try this simple prayer Dear Jesus, Thank you for loving me. Please forgive me of my sins. I want to follow you everyday of my life. Keep me safe and protect me. In your name I pray, Amen. And remember to Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the with all your heart, and lean not on your understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall your paths.

12 THE HOLY SPIRIT The moment you received Jesus, God placed His Holy Spirit inside of you! When did God place His Holy Spirit inside of you? In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise Ephesians 1:13 God loves us so much, that He gave us the Holy Spirit to stay with us wherever we go! His Holy Spirit will never leave us, and will help guide us. Will the Holy Spirit ever leave us? the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Romans 5:5 the love of God has been out in our hearts by the Spirit who was given to us. You have to learn to depend on the Holy Spirit to grow in your new faith and overcome sin. The Holy Spirit gives us power to do things we couldn t have before, and helps us to tell others about Jesus Christ and what He has done for us in our lives! But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. Acts 1:8

13 THE WORD In order for us to grow, we need food. In order for us to grow spiritually, we need God s Word! The Bible says Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Matthew 4:4 What do we need in order for us to grow spiritually? Did you know that the words of the Bible are the very words of God? All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness 2 Timothy 3:16 (NIV) All is God- and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness God commands us to obey His Word, so pray that God will make you hunger for His Word like you hunger for food! God s Word is also light for us in this very dark world. Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Psalm 119:105 Your is a lamp to my feet and a to my path.
