2 Hypothetical: You have 30 seconds to leave your house because of an impending crisis. Go to the shelf and pick ONE object at a time and run to the mail bin and drop them in there. Pick the ones that is most important to you. We are going to determine what your personal necessities are =).

4 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Matthew 6:19-21.

5 What Is the Need of Heaven? I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. Luke 15:7 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:4.

6 What Is the Need of Heaven? We were brought into existence because we were needed. {Signs of the Times, April 22, 1903 par. 5} The relations between God and each soul are as distinct and full as though there were not another soul upon the earth to share His watchcare, not another soul for whom He gave His beloved Son. {Steps to Christ 100.1}

7 How much did Heaven pay for this need? What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20.

8 What was this price? For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.

9 What was the Cost/benefit of Christ coming down to this earth? Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; Romans 1:3. Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. John 20:27 Took on our human body

10 He was born in a smelly barn/manger (Luke 2:7) He was rejected by His own people (John 1:11) Jesus s home church looked down on Him and tried to kill Him after His sermon (Luke 4:28-30) Church leadership conspired to kill Jesus because of the miracles and acts of mercy He performed. (John 11:47-53)

11 He was falsely accused and slandered (Mark 3:22, Luke 11:14-16) His own friends left Him when they needed Him most: (Matthew 26:56) He suffered verbal and physical abuse: John 19:1-3, Luke 22: John 19:23 He died as a criminal (Mark 15:27-28)

12 What was the Cost/benefit of Christ coming down to this earth? For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. Isaiah 53:2 Looked plain to the eyes.

13 What was the Cost/benefit of Christ coming down to this earth? He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Isaiah 53:3. Endured sorrow

14 What was the Cost/benefit of Christ coming down to this earth? But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. 2 Corinthians 5:21. He took the penalty of sin for us.

15 What was the benefit to Jesus? He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. Isaiah 53:11. Many will have their sins forgiven and blotted out. Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: Galatians 1:4.

16 What benefit does Jesus offer us today? The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10:10 Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them. Psalms 119:165

17 What want and need does Jesus want from us? We love him, because he first loved us. 1 John 4:19. If ye love me, keep my commandments. John 14:15.

18 What is Jesus offering us? And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Revelation 21:1-4.
