We said God is ONE SLIDE - God is Creator God is Redeemer God is Father God is King Today, we re diving into this truth of who YOU ARE based on the truth of WHO GOD IS STARTS - Playlist Name: AA YOU ARE Music Bkgd Track 1: Heavy Hearted YOU ARE CREATED & CREATIVE God took such care in creating the heavens and earth and the lights in the heavens and when we look at the human body, there is so much evidence for Divine Design! I want to tell you today what God says about you. God says that You are created by Him! You have God s creative power INSIDE of you! If you there is a problem in the culture around you, you have God s creativity within you tot solve the problems around you! Why? You are created by Creator God! Not only are you created but you are His prized possession! The triune God, God the Father, Holy Spirit and Son, made you in His image! Gen. 1:27-28 You are fearfully and wonderfully made! Psalm 139: God made all the delicate, inner parts of your body - every organ - every tissue - every molecule is something GOD designed! He knit you together in your mother s womb! He made you wonderfully complex. His workmanship is marvelous! He formed you with His hands in utter seclusion and wove you together. Every moment of your life was recorded in His book before you came into this world. His thoughts are precious towards you. He likes you. He wants you to know that! He likes you and He loves you! His thoughts towards you are more numerous than the grains of sand scattered across every ocean beach! When you go to sleep, He is there to comfort you. When you wake up, He is there to strengthen you! He is WITH you always! The One that was before time and before all things, the One who spread out the stars and placed each in their proper place, hand-crafted YOU. He designed you! Father God in Heaven, created you. Gen. 1:27 He didn t made a mistake! Gen He looked at you and said It is good. God says you today, do not fear for I will be with you. Exodus 3:12

2 Page 2 of 11 He goes before you when you face trouble of any kind! Do not doubt the Lord and His goodness for He has not forgotten you nor His promise to you! He hasn t forgotten His covenant toward Abraham and He called you into this covenant. You are set apart by God Himself! Ex. 6: UPON YOUR BELIEF IN JESUS CHRIST, YOU ARE CREATED & REDEEMED! Through Jesus blood, you are no longer slaves to sin. You are HEIRS OF THE KINGDOM! I do not call you sinners. For you are not sinners. You are saints. You are children of the most High God, now I call you walk IN the calling you ve received. Step INTO your new identity. Step INTO your new nature in Christ. You are no longer slaves to sin. You are no longer bound by feelings! You are complete in Christ. Col. 1:27 You are dead with Christ. Col. 2:20 You are risen with Christ. Col. 3:1 Your life is hidden with Christ in God. Col. 3:3 Christ has now become your very life. Col. 3:4 You now have the mind of Christ for He lives in and through you! 1 Cor. 2:16 You are a partaken of Christ. Hebrews 3:14 You are even preserved in Christ! Jude 1:1 He will keep you until the day He comes. By His grace, He will sustain you and enable you to endure all things, all temptations, all trials. He has even endured them with and for you. You are a foreigner. You are a citizen of Heaven. You are just passing through. You are not staying here for long. Take your eyes OFF the problems of this world. They are just a moment in time. The trouble you are experiencing is momentary so Do not lose heart. Although people are blind to the glory of God around you because of sin, you can open their eyes and bring them truth! For God, who said, Let light shine out of darkness, made His light shine in your hearts to give you the light of the knowledge of God s glory displayed in the face of Christ. You have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this allsurpassing power is from God and not from yourself. 2 Cor. 4

3 Page 3 of 11 At times you, you go through difficult things. You are hard pressed on every side, but you are NOT crushed! You may be perplexed and frustrated but NEVER should you be in despair for your HOPE is in JESUS CHRIST! You are persecuted, but not abandoned! For I am with you! Matt. 28:20 God says to you today Listen to the Lord who created you. O Israel, the one who formed you says, Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. 2 When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. 3 For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. I gave Egypt as a ransom for your freedom! I came and rescued you by my own hand in my own strength because I love you! You are precious to me. You are honored, and I love you. 5 Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Isaiah 43 The Lord would say to you today Do not be afraid. For I am Your shield, Your very great reward! Gen. 15:1 You are struck down, but not destroyed. 10 We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. 11 For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus sake, so that his life may also be revealed in our mortal body. 12 So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you. 13 It is written: I believed; therefore I have spoken. [b] Since we have that same spirit of[c] faith, we also believe and therefore speak, 14 because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you to himself. 15 All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God. 16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. I am with you and I am for you. I will bless you if you ll let Me. Gen. 26:24 You can do ALL things through CHRIST who strengthens you! Phil. 4:13 You can and should rejoice in Christ! Phil. 3:3 I m telling you today, church to press toward the mark of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus! Phil 3:14 because God does have a high calling on your life! He has called you to represent HIM and His image to the earth! God will supply all your needs according to HIS glory - His power - His riches - HIS ability! Phil 4:19. He is the hope of the glory to come! Col. 1:27 Jesus and His presence is a present reality, a present joy and a future hope! When you keep your eyes on this present joy and future hope of God s Kingdom, He will add ALL things unto. So don t worry about the things you worry about! Put HIS Kingdom first and

4 Page 4 of 11 make GOD s priorities YOUR priories and watch God move Heaven and Earth! He will not only sustain you but He will partner with you to establish His Kingdom on the earth! You are the saints that will possess this Kingdom that is coming and will come in fullness when Jesus comes to renew all things. Daniel 7:22. Psalm 145:13 Let God s Kingdom become the reality in which you live! Rev. 11:15 It s God s good pleasure to give you the keys to the Kingdom! Luke 12:32 The same power and authority given to Jesus Christ has been given by Jesus s Spirit to YOU not solely to give you joy and your true identity but to partner with God to made disciples of all people! The same authority given to Jesus has been given by Jesus to YOU! Now walk in it! Matt. 28 Walk in the authority that you have! Don t be sidetracked and discouraged by thinking about what you aren t. Don t be deceived into believing that God doesn t have good thoughts toward you! What He told the shepherds on the hills that day when He sent Jesus is what He tells you today GOOD WILL TOWARD MEN! If you feel less than, broken or unqualified to carry the Gospel or the presence of God, awesome, because you are EXACTLY the people God desires to fill! He doesn t qualify the equipped. He equips the qualified. He calls you out of darkness and has given you everything you need for Godly living! YOU ARE NOT AN ORPHAN! YOU ARE FATHERED BY GOD HIMSELF! You are not the one from the broken home! That is NO LONGER your identity! You are not forgotten. You are not who the world has said that you are. God would say to you today Receive a new identity in Me. You are not powerless for My power can rest in you. In your weakness, My strength is made perfect. You are not trash. You are not a waste of time. Though you are broken and frail and weak at times, it is still my pleasure to fill you with my presence, a jar of clay to carry the glory of God! You are loved! You are chosen. You are called and set apart! You are a Royal Priesthood! A holy generation!

5 Page 5 of 11 Don t believe that you must be bound by sin or lies anymore! If you have confessed your sin to Jesus and God has set you free, then you are INDEED free! Dont doubt it anymore. Dont believe that you must stay enslaved to your sinful and destructive habits. Don t believe that you will never change and you ll always be in this predicament of sin! Walk in the freedom that God is giving you! John 8:36 1 Peter 2:3-9 You have tasted that the Lord is good. As you come to Him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious, 5 you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 6 For it stands in Scripture: Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a cornerstone chosen and precious, and whoever believes in Him will not be put to shame. 7 So the honor is for you who believe 9 You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood! a holy nation, a people for His own possession! Why? So that you may proclaim the excellencies - the amazing power - of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. GOD IS LIGHT so you are children of LIGHT! 10 Once you were not a people - you were scattered - an orphan w no home - but now you are God s people. Once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy! If you have sinned and realize today that you need this mercy - that you are far from God, come back home! That is not who you are! Sinner - is not who you are called to be. Struggling beat-down enslaved in sin is NOT who you need to be! God has been patient with you! Even though He has the right to show His power and anger and justice towards you, He has been patient with you - waiting for you to come to repentance! Romans 9:22 He is the Father who stands on the doorstep & waits for you to come home. He never loses heart. He never writes you off & He doesn t give up on you even when you give up on Him. Lk 15 Though you are cracked and broken, like a clay jar, He wants to place His glory within you and give you honor! Romans 9:21 He has the sole right and privilege to do this for He is God! He wants to put a ring on your finger and robe on your back and He wants His kindness and HIS goodness and HIS LOVE to bring you first to a place of repentance then to a place of new identity - as a child of His complete and lacking nothing in Christ! God is continuing a work in you that He began long ago. He will bring it to completion on the day that His Son, Jesus, returns to set all things right. YOU ARE A BROTHER OR SISTER OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST AND ARE BECOMING MORE AND MORE LIKE HIM SO THAT YOU CAN GLORIFY THE FATHER LIKE JESUS DID! You are becoming more and more like Jesus Christ as He is transforming you from the inside out - from glory to glory. 2 Cor 3

6 Page 6 of 11 Just as Moses met with God, so YOU can meet with GOD. Just as Abraham talked with God, so you can talk with GOD, one on one! You've got to become who you were made to become - a person set apart by God Himself! A citizen of Heaven, a brother or sister of Jesus! You are just passing through and you need to take your eyes OFF the world that makes you feel weak - the sin that tempts you to lose hope and fix your eyes on JESUS. He is the one who will strengthen you in your time of need! You are strong in the Lord through Jesus Christ! 2 Corinthians 13:4 You and I, as people who have received the grace of God through the forgiveness of Jesus, have become the sons and daughters of God, the brothers and sisters of Jesus! Matt. 6:9 / Mal. 2:10 If you are the prodigal son or daughter who has ran away from God - ran away from home - I want to tell you today that God is STILL waiting for you. He has not forgotten about you. He is ready to forgive you. He is ready to receive you back into His home. He is waiting for you on the doorstep and anticipating your return! YOU ARE FATHERED BY GOD HIMSELF! YOU ARE HIS CHILD FOR HE HAS ADOPTED YOU! God s love for you will NEVER end. He is the Father who is here for you right now. If you need forgiveness or to simply come home, I want you to hear Father God inviting you back home! If you need foreignness and a new beginning, let it start today! What can separate you from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus? NOTHING! Romans 8 God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. 9 Salvation is not a reward for the good things you have done, You are God s masterpiece. He has created you BRAND NEW in Christ Jesus. Therefore, you CAN do the good things that GOD planned for us long ago. Before the foundations of the earth, God laid out a plan that included YOU and what you would DO for HIM using the gifts that HE has GIVEN YOU! Eph. 2:8-10 You are not illegitimate children, but GOD s children, His very own family! He wants to have Thanksgiving dinner with you and dinner EVERY night and breakfast every morning and talked to throughout the day because HE is YOUR FAMILY! John 8:41 John 1: Jesus came to you when you chose to believe in Him, He gave you the right to become a child of God! You are born of God! We have seen the glory of God - the one and only Son, Jesus Christ, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. You are full of grace and love and truth because you have GOD on the inside of you! This is the grace and love and truth that everyone around you needs!

7 Page 7 of 11 They have a question. You have the answer! They have a concern. You have a comfort. They have a request. You have JESUS inside of you! Because His Spirit now lives IN you, you can offer take their request and pray in partnership with the Holy Spirit - presenting the request boldly before the throne! You are a royal priesthood in this regard! Jesus makes His plea towards Heavenly Father through you! This is who you are! You can present offerings and petitions as priests unto God! You often do not need a pastor to talk to your co-worker about Jesus. YOU can talk to your coworker about Jesus. You often do not need a pastor to talk to and pray with your family member who is lost. You can talk to and pray with your family member who is lost. You can present prayers unto God and the Holy Spirit in you works in tandem with the Spirit of Jesus and can bring about change in broken hearts through YOU! YOU ARE AN ETERNAL HEIR pause OF AN ETERNAL KINGDOM You are a generation of prophets priest and kings! Just as Ezekiel & Zechariah were prophets and priests, so you are a people of prophets and priests! You can petition God on behalf of another! You can can prophesy and hear from God and change the culture around you! (implied in 2 Chr 20:14 and 1 Sam 10:5) If God gives you a word of encouragement for someone, share it. Share it in love praying that it brings them closer to Jesus! You can take God s Word to your heart and God s heart to your words. You can change culture by understanding who JESUS CHRIST is in you! Christians, you are now the righteousness of God in Christ. The image of GOD is being restored through you! You are Christ s ambassadors! 2 Corinthians 5:20. God is working in you and through you to bring His Kingdom to earth! You are royalty! Like the King and Priest, Melchizedek, you are called to be a royal priest. He was a type of Christ being he was tithed to by Abraham. The Bible says he didn t have an age - a beginning or end - and He was special - eternal. A life that would remain - a life consecrated to God for eternity spent with Him. Jesus then came and give us a picture of what it can be like to serve Father God! To be united with the Father - to live in eternity s reality! God electing Israel as a people unto Himself - a people that would be an example to the rest of the world as we see it - shows us that they come into a role of intercession - like a priest would - a role of go-between. God s people would cry out to Him and God would answer in prayer and the entire region would be saved. They prayed. They are saved. AND often neighboring nations would benefit from God s goodness! God made Israel a royal priesthood. And YOU are a continuation of the people of God! God has grafted you into the family! The covenant given to Abraham and all it s promises has been extended to you and I! Romans 11:17

8 Page 8 of 11 Jesus made this all possible! This is why we worship JESUS. This is why we must have JESUS on the walls on our lips and in our hearts! It is JESUS who brought this covenant to life when He came as God s Son to offer God s forgiveness to ALL people, not JUST the Jews. Jesus established His Kingdom first through preaching about it s truth. Then He established it through the working of miracles - where Heaven invaded earth - where the boundaries of earth - the curse of sin that dominated a body - the pain of illness or disease - all was completely subdued by the power of Jesus! People were sick. Jesus healed them. People were afraid. Jesus brought peace. In Mark 4, Jesus is on His way to set a demonic free - a demon-possessed man who brought fear into the entire community. So what happens on the way there? A sudden storm - and FEAR gripped the hearts of Jesus followers. Jesus calmed the storm and His power was demonstrated over the physical elements of earth. His Heavenly authority set things right on the earth. Jesus brought KINGDOM dominion to earth! Jesus brought to HEAVEN to earth everywhere He went! Jesus then taught us to pray and ask Father God to let HIS Kingdom come and His will be done! You are the continuation of the Kingdom that Jesus Himself brought to earth! What He started, you will continue. Not with your own power but with HIS! God has given you and is giving you HIS Spirit! God is setting things right through you! God is setting things RIGHT in the world through you! God can restore broken relationships, broken friendships, broken marriages through you! God can use YOU as a priest, a go-between, an Intercessor. God can use YOUR prayers to rescue the heart of another! For the the same power that raised Jesus from the grave lives in you! (REF_) You are the fragrance of Christ to a hurting world! 2 Cor. 2:14-16 You are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are hurting and dying! Philippians 1:6 And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue His work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns! You are a Kingdom of Priest and Kings! You are given authority as a son and daughter of the Most High God - an authority in the Kingdom that will never end! John 20:21-23 / Eph. 1:20-22 / Daniel 7:18, God is giving you HIS glory - HIS presence - HIS goodness can rest in YOU! Since then you have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, hold fast to your confession. For you do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with your weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are,

9 Page 9 of 11 yet without sin. With confidence, draw near to the throne of grace, that you may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:14-16 God s character is unchanging and His covenant is unchanging and what He promised to Abraham, He extended to you! You have a High Priest in the order of Melchizedek who is the King of Righteousness and the King of Peace. His Kingdom brings righteousness and peace to your life and through you to the lives of those around you! We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of our souls! You can have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of your soul! Hebrew 6:10-18 Are you a believer? Are you a Christ-follower? Then know that your salvation is based on a covenant between you and God and it is GOD who upholds the covenant even when you are tempted to wander from it! God swore on Himself to Abraham that He would bless him and make him the father of many nations! There was no one higher to swear by. So God s covenant is held together by God himself. If you jostle, if you waver, it doesn t change God s commitment toward you! You are loved by God and He is betrothed to you - comitted to you - engaged to be wed to you! Like I told my wife last year, there is NOTHING that she could do or say or experience that would make me leave her - NOTHING. I am comitted to her no matter what! She is my bride even if we go through something difficult. I am in covenant with her. My love for her is a commitment to her - it s an oath, a promise. It is not based on feelings alone. God has made an oath to you - a covenant - a promise. He is engaged to marry you and He is sending His Spirit now to cause you to fall in love with Jesus! Just as we read about in Genesis, chapter 24 where Abraham wants to find a bride for his son, Isaac, Abraham, the Father, sends out His servant, with no name, and He miraculously finds a bride, a young virgin named Rebekah and her heart is won. She senses that this is the Lord God s doing. She commits her life to Issac before ever seeing Him. In the same way, God s Spirit is drawing you today, into a covenant with Jesus - the one whom you ve never seen with human eyes, yet you KNOW that you love Him. You KNOW that He is the one sent by Father God. You know because your spirit bears witness with His Spirit. The real you - the core of who you are - your gut level - the real you comes alive when you simply hear the name JESUS! The Holy Spirit of God is pointing you to the beauty of Jesus and it is JESUS who calls you by name! It is JESUS who is comitted to you till death do you part - or better said, till life do you part. It is JESUS who is comitted to you! It is JESUS who will never break His word to you! And it is YOU whom He has died for! It is you whom He has committed his eternity to. It is for you that He left His throne in Heaven! It was for YOU that He sent His Spirit to lead you to repentance so that could be forgiven and united with Him! The Holy Spirit has been given to YOU! John 14:17 This Holy Spirit is the power to not only bring YOU to renewed life but also to reveal His Kingdom, His goodness, His power to heal and restore others around you!

10 Page 10 of 11 This Holy Spirit, this servant of Father God, resides in YOU! If it doesn t reside in you yet, all you have to do is ask. John 14 Ask anything in the Name of Jesus according to the will of GOD and it will be given to you! Jesus said! John 14:14 The more you seek, the more you ask, the more you become like Him! Knock Knock and Knock again and the door will be opened! He wants you to seek after to Him - to look for Him - to discover the beauty of His majesty! And as you do, He will change you. His holiness will permeate your very being! Luke 11:9-13 Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. You fathers if your children ask* for a fish, do you give them a snake instead? 12 Or if they ask for an egg, do you give them a scorpion? Of course not! So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him. So ask God to give you the Holy Spirit we re talking about today! Ask GOD the Father to baptize you fresh in the Holy Spirit! Ask GOD the Father to give you His Holy Spirit to prepare you to be wed to King Jesus! Ask GOD the Father to give you His Kingdom! Jesus is making you more and more and more like Him! He s revealing His glory in you! Eph. 2:10 / 1 Peter 2:13 Jesus is renovating you from the inside out! Why? So that not only you would be revived but so that others can be revived! You can pray God, may Your Kingdom come and partner with God to bring His goodness, His forgiveness to people. His HEAVEN can invade YOUR EARTH. His eternal reign can conquer a temporary depression or sin or even sickness in the life of a friend of yours! You are a King s child! God wants you to step into your identity in Him! God wants you to reveal the body of Christ to the world! God wants to unite YOU with other believers so that HE can be seen! GOD IS JESUS and YOU as a follower of Jesus, are part of the Body of Jesus. *4 Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, 5 so it is with Christ s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other. 6 In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you. 7 If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well. 8 If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly. 9 Don t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good. 10 Love each other with genuine affection,* and take delight in honoring each other. Step into the NEW LIFE that God has given you! Don t stand on the sidelines and just let people serve you. Jump in and begin to serve King Jesus by serving people and you ll find that this is what you were made to do! Hebrews 12:4-10 Colossians 3:12 Matt 5: Cor. 3:16 God is restoring the image of HIMSELF in you! Gen. 1:27

11 Page 11 of 11 Because you are united with Christ, you are receiving an inheritance from God! Eph. 1:11 His Spirit in you is a foretaste - a deposit of His promised that is to come. Eph. 1:14 You must remember that there is JOY in serving God and being His image-bearer! SALVATION CALL CLOSING - COMMUNION Invite the ushers and the worship team up. So God, we respond to Your Word today and say like King David in Ps God, Make me walk along the path of your commands, for that is where my happiness is found. Give me an eagerness for your laws rather than a love for money! Turn my eyes from worthless things, and give me life through Your word.* Reassure me of your promise, made to those who fear you. Help me abandon my shameful ways; for your regulations are good. I long to obey your commandments! Renew my life with your goodness.
