I am thrilled to introduce myself and this college to you. We are delighted that you are seriously considering studying with us and taking your calling to the next level. We are confident that with the variety of programs we offer along with our focus on mentor-ship you will find your time with us challenging, rewarding and ultimately that it will bring you closer to God. In the four years since the founding of this college many things have changed. One of the most important changes is That the college is now accredited by a private Christian agency the NBCA. We want to you to be aware that the college is not at present nor does it have any future plans to seek accreditation with any governmental agency. 3 . About us Our vision Breaking the mold the Deans Vision. It is hard to believe the college has been around almost four years, I have learned a lot in this time. I have learned what works and what does not work. I want to break the mold of stale scholastic learning. Firstly I want to talk simply to you as if we were talking face to face. I work closely with each student as do all our Professors and staff. I pour all I have into each one of my students. You are not a number, you are a person. I want to offer each student a warm personal and down to earth welcome. I have found that people react more favourably to. this than if I am formal and overly academic in my approach. I took a poll last year and 80% of all students said they joined because they felt someone was talking to them one on one and that they were being treated as a special unique individual. That is the way the college is, it is my vision, to equip and help all who study with us to fulfil their call and ministry in life. Let the student testimonials speak for themselves. 4 . Statement of Faith What we believe. We believe in the plenary verbal inspiration of the Old and New Testament scriptures in their original languages. We hold to their inerrancy and infallibility and that they are the supreme authority in faith and practice.. We believe that the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit are co-eternal, coequal and co-essential (the doctrine of Trinity). We Know that Jesus was fully God and fully man -The Deity of Christ.. We believe in the essential, eternal and full deity of the LORD Jesus Christ, His incarnation by the virgin birth, absolute holiness, vicarious atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension to heaven and His uniqueness as the Lord and Saviour of mankind.. We believe in the full deity of the Holy Spirit, indwelling- sealing of the anointing in the birth. Necessity of the filling of the Spirit, for sanctification and service. The gifts of the Spirit are active, not to be abused, fruit is more important than gifts, but we need the power of the Holy Spirit, and the giftsfruit, to live a holy life. All is to be done decently and in order.. We believe in the universal sinfulness of man by birth and by choice his total inability in the matter of salvation.. We believe that salvation is by God s sovereign grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. 7. 6 . Study Requirements and Application Process Study Requirements. All courses are 0% online. This means that all students are required to have a stable and reliable internet connection. From our experiences a cell phone is inadequate.. All students are required to download the e-sword (bible application) and all of the free downloads that come with it. Available for free at Students are required to download and submit all written work using Apache Open Office. This excellent free word processing software is available at All students are required to submit a monthly study progress report to their assigned professor. This should briefly outline what progress students have made over the past month.. Students should note that written work is to adhere to the MLA format and style.. For students working with English as a second language or with specific language issues we allow students when applicable to submit work in an audio format. 20 . Doctoral degrees Ph.D program A Doctor of Philosophy is the pinnacle of educational attainment and requires a considerable investment of time, effort and commitment. It is therefore an undertaking that should be very carefully considered not merely for you the student but for those around you. You can expect to spend many long hours in research and writing so one should carefully consider how this might impact ones family, friends or other commitments. Also one should consider whether a Ph.D is appropriate for your skill or competence set. A Ph.D is in essence a demonstration of research competence. In this respect a Ph.D might not suit every student. If you are not comfortable or dislike long lonely hours conducting independent research you might struggle with the demands of this degree. Through the lengthy research and then writing of your dissertation you are demonstrating the following;. Mastery of your subject. Research insight. Respect for the discipline. Your supervisor as an expert in their particular field is there to help, guide, encourage and motivate you. It is very much to your benefit to develop a close and beneficial relationship. Working towards your Ph.D can be a lonely and frustrating experience at times so your supervisor is there to help and encourage you. Once you have applied, been accepted and paid your administration fee you can begin.. How long will it take to complete my degree? This depends on a number of factors. The type of degree you are undertaking, the amount of time you can devote to your studies and your prior educational experiences and academic abilities. As such we cannot put a specific time frame on our degrees.. If I have a problem who can I contact? All students are assigned a professor who is their first point of contact. Students are also able at any time to contact the dean Dr Abaldo via . We are always open to mentor, help and assist in whatever way we can. We endeavour to answer s within hours.. Can I study for more than one degree at a time? We firmly believe that students should focus on one course and one degree at a time. For this reason we do not allow students to study for multiple degrees at one time. Once you have completed a degree we would encourage you to apply and begin another one. 7. Are you accredited? The college is accredited by a private Christian agency the NBCA. (National Bible College Association). The college has no intention of seeking government approved accreditation either now or in the future. 8. Will my degree be accepted at other seminaries/universities or colleges? Due to the very broad spectrum of college courses, credit requirements and other accreditation issues we cannot give a definitive answer to this question. If this is your intention we suggest you seek clarification from the other institution before beginning your degree with us.

23 . Truth and Mercy Institute is a school designed by God Himself to raise up Christian leaders in the word who are sound in biblical knowledge and principles. The knowledge and skills I have acquired from truth and mercy are timeless. The courses structures are the best and second to none. My understanding in scripture study and interpretation is highly deepened, my preaching is not boring anymore, I minister with confidence, through the skills I acquired from the institution. Truth and Mercy institute is a college I will recommend to any person who has the call of God and needs sound biblical knowledge.
